One moment RoS is gaining 89 points and the next it’s 93 (without the points being updated) and it’s not the only one where the prediction of future points is different.

What happened ? Is it still reliable ?

Just so you know, We’ve been using that tactic in T9 for about 2 months now so it’s not only T1 lol

What if I said that we are around Dzagonur’s level, or even slightly lower, do you think we would still roflstomp you ?
And that if we wish to aim 5th tier we’ll need more help, but we shouldn’t even think of going up that high because we will roflstomp you for a week or 2.
Do we not have the right to wish for our WvW to be epic ?

Did you know that it wasn’t Far shiverpeaks who was hit with the first exodus of the guilds but it was RoS but that we didn’t make as big deal out of it by posting it on the forums ? We silently tried our best to keep our WvW together to not let it drop to the last spot. Our total population (until Vabbi got less) was the lowest of all servers(meaning PvE and WvW’rs combined), FoW would hit high sometimes.
The few commanders we had would play all day, sacrificing our time to not let our WvW drop, because believe me, there weren’t many people in WvW at all, the likes YOU have not seen, yes I also mean when you started dropping you still had more people in WvW than we had.
But then Vabbi’s Russian alliance transfered to Piken Square and other places. We got first place and thanks to that in our tier. And at time our population was second lowest. And by even more effort we were able to tier up to just be roflstomped back down by UW. And when were in the lower tier, we would roflstomp them.
We were stuck in a limbo between 8th and 9th tier. Our morale dropped more and more and one of our guilds (small scale but still put in a lot of effort) to Gunnar’s Hold. More people transfered off.
And then we suddenly got transfers, and now we got hopes to have a stable WvW.
We try to go to Tier 5 where we can get a bit of both. But here you are saying negative things about it, I know you won’t congratulate us. But I hope you see the hypocrisy in it that had you gotten them transfers yourselfs you would’ve been happy too.
I know we will roflstomp you for a few weeks and I’m sorry for that.

And please, do make an alliance with the other server against us, we even hope you do because we don’t really want another boring week.

I suppose the Devs will be on RoS next week, Finally they will visit us!

Our guild quite enjoyed the week vs Dzg/GH, we had plenty of fun and had plenty to do. The weeks vs FoW/Vabbi where we owned 90% of the map were the boring ones simply for lack of any fights.

We didn’t leave because of lack of future, we left because we were fed up of people not even trying.

The rest, I shall reserve for PM rather than creating further drama here.

Since you’ve transfered, you don’t know how awesome last week actually was, it was literally one of the fights RoS actually has ever had and we have to thank the Bloody retribution for that and Xaoc who transfered to Vabbi back then. I was disappointed to see they went to Vabbi, they could’ve done good for vabbi if they had stuck with it.

That same way I could accuse you of bandwaggoning to GH.

Ykyk…that small tactics fight to assist in the overall goal while avoiding the main zerg is what we love doing. The problem is that here lately on Dragonbrand, there is NOWHERE that is safe from at least a 15-20 man zerg. They’re everywhere. Even supply camps are being hit by 20+ people.

Again, come to an EU server (not the t1-3 servers).
You will have your wish here.

Uhm if I may suggest:
Join an EU server, one that isn’t in T1-3.
You will have a lot of fun, you won’t find any zerg anywhere (except maybe on GH).
A lot of very fun fights I’ve had were during the nights with few people fighting people being outmanned.

Ofcourse being from RoS I’d like to recruit you for RoS (despite what the numbers say we are low on Night time activity) but you can pick from any other server, just make sure it’s not T1-3.

Well you can’t blame A-Net for when your guild picks a full server, it’s one of the risks when you chose to go to that server.
This system is much better than to have wait outside with hour long queues just to get in the game. I say no thank you to that.

They COULD put in queue for transferring to full servers, then again it helps people going for full servers instead of joining the low population ones and goes against what A-Net is trying to do.

Oh and I second what that guy above me said.

And what makes you say that the middle tiers or lower tiers don’t have ? It’s just your baseless assumption thinking oh look it’s the top, must be the most epic fights there, let’s join.

And well from your responses I can only say this: You got what was coming for you, The higher servers have a lot of people and are full, if you want to join, well you’re gonna have a hard time.

Do you even play WvW? You don’t seem to understand how it works. Coverage is the primary determining factor in how good the fighting is. You can’t have a good fight without competitors on both sides, with at least vaguely similar numbers. If all you want to do is run around duelling and popping yaks, it may not matter, but for players who want fights ranging from 1v1 to 100v100, these are not to be found on mid and low tier servers.

Dude I’ve played a lot more WvW than you, The question would be better if you actually bothered to look at how the lower tiers are, you probably never been there.
The fighting is a lot more different than at the top, every thing you do has consequences, good or bad. True that there aren’t many people but you have a lot more room to use strategies and tactics. Mid tiers are actually no different than top tiers except that there are just less people, it has about a bit of both, the top tier and the bottem tier.

Xaoc are pretty much holding 650~ points on their own, without any interference from rest of GH, yet they could not get more than about 15 points against your existing alliance. What does that tell you?

Let’s Analyze Xaoc and What happened in vabbi and What is happening in GH:

A typical Xaoc day starts with the early morning zerg 4-5 AM CET to around 8 and then their numbles dwindle. During this time they will literally take everything (which they did with us).
Then they wouldn’t have many people till around 2 PM and their numbers would keep rising till 7 PM and then suddenly drop to their night watch at around 9 PM.

Implement that into vabbi:
Their morning zerg would come on, take everything upgrade it to oblivion and then go woff letting the normal vabbians defend We would come on retake things with heavy resistance. But we outmanned them and attacking from all sides we retook things. Until the Xaoc primetime where they would start pushing us again, During that time we would be going back and forth, sometimes even being pushed back quite a bit. But we persevered and they would go to sleep and we would retake a lot of stuff. But you shouldn’t underestimate their nightshift. But their problem was that it was still our prime time and if managed to push them away from their own BL we would retake everything. After that it was only fighting against FoW and their night zerg.
Then would come a new day and repeat.

In this situation Vabbi lost a lot of points during the night. If you don’t count the points at night We would have a very close win. of maybe 5k difference.

If you implement that into GH: Xaoc Morning Zerg > GH Original morning zerg > Xaoc primetime > GH primetime > Nightshift of Xaoc+GH > Xaoc morning zerg.

Your day starts with xaoc taking everything and upgrading it and the originals can then defend it.
You shouldn’t forget you were already winning against RoF and their morale was already low and I believe them when they say that you had more people than them lately, because I’ve seen how many people you can have.

Just to clarify, RoS is NOT a super server, the amount of Transfers we got and the players already present make us a Tier 4-5 Server at best and that is what we are aiming for.

Lol, we’re not a high populated server, we just had a few transfers.

In the upcoming patch guesting will finally be enabled, and yes we know you could still use Overflow but sometimes it’s annoying when none of your members have an overflow.

To make that easier we could decide on an unofficial overflow server where people can guest on (you can only guest on 1 server per day or week, not sure).

Is there already one out there ? If not what say you about making FoW or Vabbi the unofficial FotM server. Hoping that this way they might get some people who might like it there and help out them in WvW (personally I’m not from FoW or Vabbi).

Most boring week EVER

As I have understood: Xaoc expressed that they wanted to leave for a lower tier, and upon that the alliance also decided to go for a lower tier. They started to send people to the different server but Xaoc went ahead and joined vabbi without waiting for the response of the Alliance, while the Alliance had decided to join RoS, which they did.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s how I’ve understood it. Oh and Xaoc got a new leader btw.

Yeah, we had to wake up with our upgraded keeps and sm gone and to find them having several Waypoints, we loved destroying those.
Xaoc wasn’t particulary good at defending.

That is not true, WSR has less WvW’rs than RoS has right now.
And if not for the recent transfers, both Vabbi and FoW were doing better, eventually things will work out for them. In fact, RoS should be gone this week if nothing extreme happens. For everyones sake (for RoS too because it is boring as hell) it is better if people on Vabbi and FoW take a 1 week break.

The funniest thing is that given how close the fight between RoS and WSR over t8 is, and how close WSR and RoF are atm, it might be RoF deciding on the next t8 matchup – whether they want the known enemy or one boosted by even more recent transfers than GH had.

According to data on MOS at the moment, if WSR pushes RoF a little bit more and chips the easy points off GH wherever possible (and we can’t be everywhere, either – even if it means just sync capping depots right before a tick), WSR will stay in t8 and RoS will not move up yet.

Not true, if you don’t want zergs I suggest you transfer to FoW or Vabbi (when RoS is gone). In t9 you really need skill and strategy to make the edge and normally zergs are small and don’t have the “zerg power”.

If you look at the income evolution: Every time we(green) had a big dip and vabbi would have an increase, that is when you will be playing.

Right now Ruins of Surmia is on the rise from the lowest tier because they have gotten some transfers from Blacktide.
What we still need is presence at night and that is where you guys come in.

Why you should transfer ?
No queues at all at night.
Ping is no problem (I have an american in the guild and he says it is fine he has no lagg)
Intense and fun gameplay. I have been on at night and let me tell you, the gameplay at night is very fun and intense because you have so few people. It is usually on a much higher level than what happens at day because of the reduced amount of kitten
If you require we have a Guild for night time players who represent it when they are in WvW at night.
Feeling of achievement, because there are so few people online at night and because you will be covering our exact gap in of our 24/7 coverage your accomplishments will be your own and you whatever you do will be your own achievements.
There will be voice communication (we’re setting it up).
A fun community.

Just that we (thanks to the transfers help) were able to beat vabbi who had gotten Xaoc.
And as said above that they shouldn’t relax so easily.

RoS has been mostly ignored and most don’t even know about the server, and it just feels good to be in the spotlight after all this time (I’ve been on RoS from the start I’ve been through good and through bad) And it feels good to see RoS rise.
You would too if it were for your server and if you deny it, you’re a hypocrite.
I don’t see why you feel so personally attacked by this.
