Very well played DB and FA on our bl just now. Was insane — DB pushing garrison, FA in hills, a scrappy crew of TCers holding the choke point in Hills as long as we could while the rest were battling at the garrison, lol. I cried. Then I had a cookie and I felt better.
Shortly after TC took FA’s keep on EB, we paid FA’s spawn a visit. That wasn’t cool, and I helped convince our commander to leave this area. Of course, the 60-man TC zerg wiped us as we tried to leave, so we got our come-up-ins.
Tkitten TC zerg is big enough to take most of the map, so we’re a little lucky that we have the siege bug.

As for spawn camping. It’s just dumb. Period. Yell at anyone who does it. It’s bad sportsmanship.

The anti-DB sentiment seems high thanks to a few DB chest thumpers and a few DB QQers. It’s too bad some people take those few bad apples to make it seem like the entirety of DB is evil. That sentiment seems to be translating to the battlefield, at least a little bit. Things will mix up when the matchups change, so hopefully some of that unearned animosity goes away. Of course, those that perpetuate that animosity have to gain some perspective too.
I’ve always said what happens on the forums often translates in game. People were skeptical about that, but it’s human nature to want to “show them” … particularly if there was a lot of bragging and belittling of the other servers involved. It’s a motivating factor really and even for those who don’t frequent the forums, that info is often relayed in map chat so everyone knows. It becomes a rallying cry of sorts.
It’s why I get so dismayed when our trolls come out, cos I know TC is better than that. I’m sure you feel the same way about your server.
Doesn’t matter what server, theres always people whom think they are special or feel the need to degrade others if they suddenly lose one time or what not. Its unfortunate but if you have someone that starts in on you ignore them and report um. I was in EB this morning and i had someone from TC decide i was the worst person in the world because i defeated him. Trolls are gonna be trolls though, nothing you can do about that cept move on.
Lol you’re kidding! Really? Any time someone defeats me I group up with them, tell them well done and then say they owe me a cookie for killing me. I’ve sent out a few cookies, too. Got in the habit of doing that when matched against BG’s HB guild … I got a lot of cookies mailed to me back then, lol.
I disagree. I do think human nature plays a part, but what will have more success:
A. A group of 5 tries to infiltrate a keep
B. A zerg of 75 tries to infiltrate a keep
The answer is obvious, so that does mean mechanics play a large part. Those mechanics force a zerg strategy. You cannot take an entire castle with 5 players.
FYI – I did it with 3 players total after we broke down the wall with a Treb. And to top it off, I was on my up-leveled Ranger (real level 21 with no Elite). So yes, when you are skilled, you can win.
Two days ago, I started hitting the guards at an enemy occupied Hills just to check out response time. When I killed all the guards, I dumped a ram down because nobody came. Three others joined me and we got the gate down. A month ago, again, five of us took Hills on an enemy BL. It’s entirely possible to be quite effective with small or solo play in WvW. You just have to scout first, then hit. (This is in Tier 2 btw, I’m not sure it would fly in Tier 1 tho, lol). And if you do it the way I do, you have to be willing to die a lot for your experiments, lol. Sometimes they pay off though.
As for the rest, 90% of my playtime in WvW is solo roaming play. I get a lot done.

I think people really underestimate just how clever and talented Wyldkat is here on these forums.
That said, it could be, maybe, kinda, sorta some T1 folks stirring up the 2v1 stuff and pretending to be DB to fuel the heat towards DB because of oh, maybe, kinda, sorta personal agendas? Then again, it could just be DB players. But I have my doubts.
Whatever it is, sure got this thread talking about it nonstop. That’s a win for the trolls folks.
He actually has, on more than one occassion, trucked his butt from one side of the map to come help find a hacker doing bad things inside the walls and help out.
For that reason alone, he should be respected.

Check the post history people. The old guard don’t care about 2v1, we’re used to it, we expect it, and we love it. It’s these skinny jean, young bloods that can’t take the heat.

looks like FA and TC like to work together agaist DB. No its not because we are in first place, it happens even when we are in second or third. of course its not the entire server but I wonder if some guilds from FA and TC are using the same ts to plan atks in DB.
When TC get SM FA almost never atk them, even knowing that is hard for them defend their land and SM. when DB has SM FA and TC will atk SM and our 1/3 of the map
Lol there was a time during the first week DB was in tier two that the DB Zerg would attack Wildcreek and lure the TC Zerg into moles cave like a bad man with a van and some candy. Then FA would come in literally a minute later and flank the TC Zerg (who only wanted candy!). This happened four times in a row within an hour. Four times, lol!
To the regular player did it look like DB and FA HAD to be in ts together to coordinate that? Of course. But what it likely was, was a good FA scout who watched it and called it out on map each time to flank and wipe the TC Zerg.
We’ve been here a week and we’ve had some great fights. Not a single dull moment for us against TC and FA. Reset night was fantastic, it was a hard fight to keep bay and garrison for as long as we did, neither sides let us slack for a single moment. We look forward to the rest of this week!
Yeah that’s the great thing about tier 2, scores are often tight all the way up to Friday.
Props to FA for locking down your BL today. I was pre-scouting testing out response times at various camps all over the map — less than two minutes, no matter where I checked it out. Double teams sent out to opposite sides yielded similar results. You guys are finally focused on defense (more so than you used to) and it’s reflected in the ppt.

All I see is a cowardly Tc and FA double teaming us since day one ! Neither of these servers has a lick of honor . As I type this , TC has there 75 + man zerg hitting one side of our keep ,and FA has there 75 + man zerg hitting other side ! Not bothering to attack one another . We have 35 people maybe holding atm and you STILL cant take it . If you had even a lick of digninty ,you might have the skill to get it from us . But as it stands ,its blatantly obvious why you insist on this alliance amongst yourselves . Your players skill base is laughable . And now we ALL know why ! Keep grinding Db ,these clowns aren’t worth the slightest bit of our respect .

I was going to post something without the screenshot or the tag showing but yeah… really…you have to be on top of the SW camp building. I know you can jump up there out of combat, but it is as dirty a trick as fly hacking because you know being up there is not intended.
Its entirely intended! It has its own little jumping puzzle to get up there.
This is clearly a l2j issue, an not an actuall problem. (Learn too jump)
Buuht if you need advice, a quick mes, necro, or theif pull could remove them from up there very easily, not to mention you could just kill them with a ranged weapon ^.~!
It helped that the instant result of some of the transfers is that we had a lot of players come back to the server for reasons that shall remain nameless. Well. One reason. I don’t think [RET] has had that large a force on reset in a long, long time.
That’s pretty awesome. Yeah I’m seeing a ton of you guys out there. Someone commented on map the other day that they didn’t think they’d ever seen that many GODS guys out at once either.

Once you sniff out the spy, and we have some talented folks on TC who do this, they become actually really useful …. In so many ways. Particularly if they don’t realize you know.
The build next week will be adjusting these times. To preempt our own release notes, all siege will now be 1 hour, with the exception of flame rams which will be 15 minutes. This should help and we will continue to evaluate these numbers as necessary.
Can you please make it 65 or 70 minutes, people are going to want to refresh siege on the hour, and a lot could still be lost if the siege is already vanishing the moment ppl are starting to refresh. 5- 10 extra minutes would make it much smoother.
What will end up happening is we will need to do a refresh at 5 minutes earlier each time. So we will refresh at 00:00, then at 00:55, then at 01:50, then 02:45.

Sorry, are you new to TC/FA or something? They are notorious for pushing against one server together. It really doesn’t take a theoretical physicist to see whats going on. On the forums and in wvw it’s literally spelled out for you.
