Or let guilds get x amount of influence for every successful ppt tick (ie: they hold the tower or keep, and each ppt tick they hold it, they get the influence). But only if they put buffs up. Claimed towers or keeps without buffs get zero. The more buffs (different ones) the greater the influence gain per ppt.

So a 15 supply would get 5 influence per ppt tick. A keep with five buffs up would get around 25 influence per ppt tick. So basically 5 influence per buff per ppt tick.

But per the OP, there should really be a way to release claim/overwrite a zero buff guild claim before they do any of this.

Considering last night SoS let TC hit on FA’s SM whilst we were taking T3 towers in FA’s land deserves the 2v1 we faced this morning. Sides they wanted to reset our towers – it gives us a chance to teach our newer WvWers to upgrade our towers!

Anywho – shoutout to the awesome zerg fights last night – we didn’t 1v2 any fights where as we all tried to wipe each other. And Boy did we get wiped haha.

It however sucks that we still do /dance or /laugh on corpses :/

If I see it happening on TC I go into “mom” mode and start with the lectures. There’s no reason for it. It just makes the ones doing it look like bad sports.

If there’s no buff up, a guild with a buff should be able to overwrite it. Even the non-buffed guild should appreciate their keep having extra defence if they took part in capping it, rather than none at all. This only applies if there’s zero buffs put up by the claiming guild. I agree that, say, after 30 minutes if no buff has been put up, it should auto release the claim, so a guild with a buff can come in and do it. If there already is a claim with a buff, then it remains claimed until taken by the enemy or the buff expires.

Its funny that reality and what is said on the forums are two different things. All the people from SOS saying this is fun where are you in the actual game? When was the last time that SOS EB was in outmanned status for the full Sunday (outside a few hours this morning)?

All this is doing is driving people away and if your response is good we don’t want those people anyway, enjoy the rest of the week fighting two tier 2 servers in outmanned status 24/7.

TC enters tier 2 for the first time, months ago. Meets BG and SoR. Holds one tower on four maps for the bulk of the match. This goes on for weeks. We didn’t give up. We stayed in Tier 2 (with a one week drop to Tier 3 but back the following week).

And we are still in Tier 2 because we didn’t give up, even though we got pummelled for weeks and weeks. BG started calling us the zombie coast because you’d knock down one of us and two more would come back to fight.

Most of the SOS posters in this thread remind me a bit of how we were then. Tough and not giving up. You should take a look at how things are going, because you’re definately holding more than one tower on four maps. Don’t defeat yourself before you even learn how great it feels to pull together against tough tough odds. Ask the SOS vets who knew what Tier 1 (and its tactics) was like.

You could literally send a group of 20 people over to FA’s home BL, and just have that group to charge at the 60-70 man zerg that shows up to stop them while you take everything else they have on any other map.

That was when BT/VK were there, FA’s not so much like this anymore.

Yes they are. I was literally a part of small groups that went and took a starting tower on FA and watched 70 of them show up to take it back while other groups just took everything else they had on other maps.

I’ve seen us do the same thing at various times of the day.

Hi SoS,

Typically how we handle allegations of hacks is to hit /join or /invite with a member of the enemy so that it gets resolved in game quickly and doesn’t drag unwarranted drama to our match threads. I assure you, our guys don’t tolerate hacks and that guild in particular that you have highlighted is completely against it. More often than not, the allegations are proved unfounded, there’s some reasonable explanation for it, but dragging it onto the forums does nothing but create bad blood between servers.

I only request one thing and that is for TC and FA to show some small respect. I have noticed today so far there are a few guilds on TC one with tag INCV I believe that will /laugh when they kill players. This will be like a 40 man zerg versus 15-20 people on SoS. Granted were not as strong as we used to be because of players migrating to other servers. When I kill players and it was a good fight they deserve respect. Please /bow

All servers have their less desireable players. Your server does as well as you can see by the post a few above yours. I think for 99% of the time both FA and TC are respectable.

As for TC and INCV, I’ve been on TC since launch and I’ve never heard of them. So, they are either new, or some really small group.

No they’re reasonably new to TC and so far have been a great addition to the server. The guild leader was notified about this, you shouldn’t see this happening again, hopefully.
