ini regen was increased from 0,75/s to 1s but ini on crit was nerfed from a 1s ICD to kitten ICD. if you dont use that trait you will notice a slight “buff”, if you use it its the same as before or a bit worse.

hm not 1200 range for pistols but engis do have a 1050 range trait for pistols.

why is there no trait which makes sb#4 or pistol#5 larger but traits like hard to catch and last refuge?

larger smoke fields = better survivability against more enemies
larger poison fields = better healing counter

what im talking about is the difficulty of the content. cof p1 rewards you with 1g and takes about 10mins. fractals take 1h+ and you get almost the same reward in terms of gold. im not talking about the chests here because you already did get them before the update.

i understand that permastealth needed a nerf and that the s/d evasion was slightly too much but the problem with the upcoming nerfs is that they also affect other builds…

the only two builds remaining are d/d and p/d conditions.
p/d will still be decent but d/d is just not enough anymore because of blocks blinds or simply dodging.

i dont think we will see buffs good enough to get us out of the mud again… i hope i will be proven wrong.

I have 15,5k hp 39% critchance 91% critdmg 2800 armor and im perfectly fine with it. Running 0/30/30/10/0 for wvw/fractals

last refuge vs counterstealth

With the upcoming counterstealth this minor trait will become even more useless. I dontthink that the sic em skill will be the lsst counterstealth skill that makes it into the game. So why not replace stealth on 25% hp with something like gain stability on reveal for 3s with a 10sec internal cd? Or protection but that may be a bit strong. What do you think?

Condition Ele Build S/F

I found it very hard to make a condition build for an ele. Tried flame axe but it sucked. After a while when i was satisfied with the traits/stats i got this build:

This build will provide a big amount of vitality, toughness and condition damage.
you will get around 19k hp, 3000 armor and 2100 condition damage (even more with buffood and corruption stacks)

you can tank a lot but you dont have extraordinary healing so you have to make use of the various damage mitigations this build provides.
another problem is the recharge time of atunements. some atunements are used to kill time until the atunements which are needed to apply conditions are off cooldown.
otherwise you can easily get 150/s bleed ticks and 900/s burn ticks.

Some explanations behind my choice of traits/utils/weapons/armor

-Weapons

in my opinion scepter is the best weapon to apply bleeds/burns. focus is for defence, you have to stay alive to melt the opponent with conditions rather than burst or die.

Fire: 1 for burn, 4+3 for 3 stacks of might, 5 for protection and might

Earth: 1 for bleeds, 2 for more armor, 3 for blinds, 4 as a blast finisher or to reflect projectiles, 5 as an anti burst gtfo-button (usable even when stunned)

water and air dont see much use in this build. if you have to heal attune to water, use skill 3, skill 5 to daze him. switch to air cast 4 if the opponent is ranged and interrupt him with 5.
water/air are used to kill time when your heal is on cd.

-Traits:

Fire:

Burning Fire (II) additional 3 seconds of burn. we use signet of fire as our primary burn source, this trait is very convenient.
Fire’s Embrace (IX) 3 signets as utils -> 3x fire aura + 1x fire 5. this aura grants might when hit and combined with Earth (V) you get protection.

Earth:

Signet Mastery (II) 3 signets as utils; very clear choice.
Elemental Shielding (V) 4x fire aura = 4x 3 sec protection (4×4 sec if you use the boon duration upgrade for the dire back)
Diamond Skin (XI) 2200 toughness -> +220 condition damage

Water:

Cleansing Wave (V) standard choice for water traits imo
Soothing Wave (X) 6 sec of regen (7 with boon duration) because we have signet of water as an util

-Utils

Heal: Signet of Restoration -> -20% cd from trait. heal on attack, fire aura and protection on use.

Signet of Fire -> primary source of burn + additional 3 sec burn + aura + protection

Signet of Earth -> improved thoughness + aura + protection

Signet of Water -> condition cure + aura + protection + regen

elite: fiery greatsword (dont really use this one and can be swapped for the ele if prefered)

-Armor

Full Dire armor with scavenging runes. runes provide a huge cond dmg increase because of the amount of hp we get with the dire set.

both weapons dire. mainhand sigil of bursting for +6% cond dmg, offhand sigil of corruption for additional 250 cond dmg.

Trinkets either exotic dire + carrion/rabid/apo upgrade (your choice) or ascended cond vit thoughness pieces.
Back is exotic dire + snowflake upgrade for the +1% boon duration which increases our protection duration from fire aura to 4 seconds.

thanks for the suggestions there. vitality for cond reduction isnt a bad idea!
i see what you mean with the cond spamming when everybody had is own stack cap. but to make conditions more valuable in pve it would be necessary. how about personal stacks only for non player characters?

Dear necromancer community
Due to the current meta conditions are getting a lot of hate and people call for nerfs. If condition damage gets nerfed all the whiners will be satisfied. The whining wont stop but increase. Conditions themselves are rather weak in my opinion and even deserve a buff. Ever tried to run a dungeon with a condition build? Got kicked? Then you know what i mean.
What makes the cut strong are not the conditions but the fact that you can spec for full tank and still deal a decent amount of damage.
Now comes the tricky part: im not really calling for a nerf here but a change…
Low risk due to high defence shouldn’t be rewarded with that “much” damage.

First lets increase the condition damage:
Make conditions crit! A new stats set (cond/critdmg/prec) would open many new ways how one could play conditions!
Crits deal 50% more damage even if you have no stats in crit damage (correct me if im wrong). With a full set of cond crit stats it would increase your cond dmg by ~160% making bleeds tick for up to 300! To keep traits and sigils balanced such things could only trigger by a weapon crit and not by cond crits.

Now you can call me insane and conditions op etc but im not done yet:

Make damage mitigation (armor/traits/boons) affect conditions.
That way such a “condcannon” bleed wouldn’t tick for 300 but for 200(armor) or even for less with protection. You may think that even 200 bleed ticks are op but dont forget that such a player has no defence anymore and current berserk glass cannons deal about the same damage if not more.

With the armor affecting conditions cond tanks wouldnt be that strong anymore and some builds (cond/prec/though) would remain almost as they are now.
This would also open a new path for hybrid builds as they would benefit from the crit dmg in direct and cond dmg.

Now how about pvm. If such a change would happen a lot of people would maybe consider playing conditions. The problem here is the condition cap..
Every player should get his own conditions. You have your own 25stacks of bleed 1 fire 1 poison etc. It doesnt make sense that there is a condition cap right now because there isnt a cap for a max amount of swords able to hit the boss either.

Now my last point are non living objects. With the loss of power stats due to the new crit cond prec stats this gets a bit difficult. Either let cond dmg take the role of power (would need a bit of scaling for example cond dmg *2 “=power” or let certain conditions affect objects. Well a tree cant bleed but it can defo burn!

Tldr
New stat combo: cond crit prec
Conds able to crit (not triggering on crit effects)
Armor and protection/traits affect conds
Every player gets his own cond cap (25 stack bleeds etc)
Dmg to objects either affected by conddmg or by certain conds f.e burn

I posted this in the necro forum because i think you’re the class which relys the most on conditions. Thats why i wanted to hear your opinions first!

25 stack is possible but you won’t keep the stack up in a real fight. at least it makes p/p a bit more viable for conditions. the 6th is a 5 confusion stack per interrupt.

the 4th rune is a 3 stack which lasts for about 6 seconds with the +duration. and the 6th is about 11 seconds with the +duration.

just put a 20 stack on a brown bear but it’s not as easy as spam444444 because you have to interrupt the npc/player otherwise it won’t trigger the effect. in a normal fight you can apply like 8-13 confusion stacks without wasting all your ini. it’s not that strong because of the confusion nerf but it seems like the two necros i just fought didn’t like it at all
