our team, heavenly annoying, is looking for a skilled cele rifle engi to participate in esl and more. all current team members have successfully played in tournaments before but as our engi is too young for international play we need somebody who is 18+.
what we want from you:
- motivation to play pvp on the highest level
- experience overall and high mechanical skill on your class
- know how to pressure enemies, focus burst etc.
- brain, count enemies, call, res, stomp, rotas. basically all the stuff you should do anyway.
- ts3 + english knowledge
- 18+ and from EU
- able to play in our schedule (daily between 9pm-12pm gmt+1 for as long as we can/want).

Nerf might stacking into the ground for warrior/ele/eng.
Ex
Ele : dodge in earth is no longer a blast / water 3 on dagger is no longer a blast. Now the ele loses 200-300 power and condi damage while all other classes (ranger/guard/necro/mesmer) don’t have a nerfed celstial amulet.
You cant nerf blast finishers for ele war while you dont do it for engi. Engis dont use blast finishers on cele rifle so its impossible to balance things this way.
If you want to nerf them you have to do it in a fair way which reduces might stacks of all the classes by the same amount. Thats also the reason why you cant reduce the max might stacks to ~10. That way you nerf eles and wars but engis stay as strong as they are.
If you want to nerf the blas on earth dodge then compensate it by giving it 3 bleed stacks instead of 1. Then again, thats the wrong approach.
Nerf hoelbrak/str and air fire sigils, everything else will hurt other classes/specs for which the nerf wasnt intended.
Seriously, so many people on these forums with nonsense ideas just to cry for nerfs.

Hello, we are team Heavenly Annoying. We consist of skilled players and we are looking for one more player who is able to play celestial rifle engineer.
Currently some of our members are busy with uni exams so we take our time to find a good engi in those 1-2months.
our goal is to win tournaments, esl and if possible play in WTS so if you want to join you must live in one of the EU eligible lands and 18+
we usually play between 9pm and 12pm gmt+1 (depending on days)
- you need to be a skilled engineer with enough experience in cele rifle 2/3kit 6 0 0 4 4 (more or less that build)
- high level mechanical skill
- understanding of builds and enemy builds
- understanding of tactics, rotation and reinforcing
- appropriate behaviour, we have a very nice atmosphere in the team
- motivation to be/become the best
- able to play in our schedule

I tried to create a similar build to the strong celestial builds of ele engi war but the problem is a) the damage. Maul with 20 might stack crits for 2.5-3k which is lol compared to burning speed or jump shot.
Jump shot has a 20s cooldown
Burning speed has 15s cooldown
Maul has 6s cooldownJust saying…
sure but then again you have other high damaging skills on ele and engi which can hit even more. fire grab, churning earth, toolkit#3 rifle#3
without a longbow or berserk/moment of clarity you lack any burst capabilities.

lets assume arenanet would give maul bleeds back and maybe, highly unlikely imo, a blast finisher (would fit the animation tbh) it would have a very good synergy with a celestial hoelbrak build.
battle doom on gs, battle strength/whatever on sword torch. leap through the torch fire field, blast = 3 might from blast 1-2 if you get attacked with fire aura. 5 might stacks from the jungle stalker, 6 from battle, 2 from hoelbrak, some more with fire trap/strength sigils but lets assume we have 18 might stacks at best.
your burn will tick for around 650, your bleeds for around 110 and the poison for around 220 + the nice direct damage gs can offer + its utility.
atm celestial builds suck on rangers because you can’t have might stacking, healing, good direct damage and condi damage. so arenanet has to change stuff.
Im not talking about removing the vuln.
Shortbow is a crap hybrid weapon, maybe it was a long time ago when it was still a faster 1,2k ranged weapon.
The direct damage is too crappy and you have bad synergy with your fields.
I think so, but then again the engi’s rifle #3 also applys bleed even as a power based weapon. And the removal of the bleeds lowered the damage of maul. And ranger doesnt really have a hybrid weapon imo, neither shortbow nor sword or axe are. The direct damage on those is just too low.
a long time ago maul used to add bleed stacks instead of vul on a successful hit, i don’t really remember how many bleed stacks it was, either 3 or 5.., for 8 seconds.
so what if maul got the bleed stacks back, it would actually allow for some better synergy with a hybrid build.
turret engis dont use celestial. 3 classes use the amulet, ele war engi. id say rather than nerf it make it useful on every class, and bring more new amulets to pvp. more diversity and equal fairness for every class.

Many stats are not available in pvp.
Apothecary, sinister, nomad, dire, zealots. Some because they just havent added them yet and some (nomad dire) because they would kill balance.
A mesmer’s job is to quickly burst down people and to remove boons.
Your build doesnt to that (idk for boons).
That’s why it’s unviable for the current meta.
Then again if you just play soloQ or with friends for fun, play whatever you want.
assuming you get 1 track done per day that would be 4 boxes, → 5000 days for 20000 finishers. 1000 would be well enough because most of the time you wont do 1 track a day.
those chests have to be untradeable, its a joke if a pvp reward which involves something with a rank is tradeable.
last patch we saw the introduction of the “collections” which reward you for collecting certain item sets.
sadly we pvp players got left out again and got no dedicated pvp collection.
i want to suggest a glorious collection which rewards you with one piece of “glorious hero armor”.
i think this would be pretty fair when you have to do 12x glorious reward track for it
cant really say what elite would be best for you. all ele elites are very sitruational. i use tornado for skyham, fgs for other maps, never elemental. matter of taste^^
As i have never lost to a power ranger in a 1v1 before i will share my tactics with you:
Use rtl to get close or the earth 3 leap. Use stability if you think you cant dodge the knockback. Dodge 1x when they use rapid fire, not 2×. If they use barrage stay out of the circle and use breath skills. Burning works very good against them. Use ring of earth to block projectiles, very effective at close range. Chill kills their mobility so use your frost aura to chill them and to reduce 43% of the damage you take. You can also walk behind them to put their lb skills on cooldown when you walk out of their hit cone.
When they switch to gs dodge maul and avoid their block. Shocking aura is very goof against gs. Use stability against the stun if you can. When they use their invul burn them with drakes breath or cleansing fire when you dont need it.

the damage a mesmer can dish out with the amount of boons he can remove at the same time is op. so either nerf shatter damage or the boon removal, very simple. after all they also did that to sword thieves.
i wish we had actual tiers. would solve many problems. players with equal skill could fight each other and everybody would be happy.
i want to see how well you do against players who know their class if you just “slobber your face across the keyboard”
usually used for single target bursting but their skills can hit multiple enemies.

I consider myself a good ele and when i fight necros like teh prototype i have a very hard time and he does not use the dark path trait afaik. Imo if an ele fights a necro of equal skill the necro should win (same goes for mesmer) because you can kite the ele if you use your skills well, soft/hard cc and teleports.
You can also compare the current celestial classes. Warrior is a beast on point but can be kited off point by eles and even more by rifle engi. Ele is stronger or equally strong as a rifle engi on point but can be kited by the engi off point.
It all depends on the situation / builds and ofc personal skill. As i always say pvp is very balanced atm. (Aside from some stupid passives)
Trait dark path to corrupt boons and you can corrupt 2 boons + chill every 15s. Wrecks every ele.

The reason why eles have all 4 of the things is because they have the lowest armor and health ingame. Dont forget that you have to sacrifice utilities to get vigour and auras for protection. Its not like they get it all passively. And after all you can rip/corrupt the boons which is a direct counter to ele. Hi mes thief necro.
Vigour for arcane skills is useless because no defensive ele uses an offensive skill so you would just force something upon them and the trait will die. After all the vig/reg for cantrips is used to cleanse condis and not because you want to have perm vigour. If you do that conditions will be the death of you.
If the new trait is of a similar benefit we could talk about it.

I love how ele is considered “S” with no counters easily available. Ofc eles dont die to focus fire or to necro/thief/mesmers.
Seriously stop polling such stuff in a forum where 90% are casual PvPers and have never been in the situation “When played well, with the best available build and competent teammates/opponents, this class performs”
Passives and AI shouldn’t be in PvP at all.
