thats the idea behind it. why would you pay 2500g for a recipe? its arenanet’s fault that the price is even that high. grenth and dwayna are around 2g. thats 1000x less.
If im not mistaken the 55hpm ranger ran something similar to this build in the tol finals. Sadly i heard he didnt play ranger in the latest esl anymore.
2 days ago i fought a strange build in soloq. Idk about the traits and the amulet. Either soldier clerics or knights. S/d with greatsword and pirate runes. The ranger was more of a bunker while the pet and the parrot dealt damage. And that kitten parrot dealt 10k damage in a short fight. Could be kind of a power bm 2.0.
Not sure if viable though, at least not in teamfights.

I bought wildstar. Carbine has nothing to do with arenanet. They are two separate game studios. The only thing they have in common is that their games are published by ncsoft.
The reason why i bought it is very simple: i can be a healer; there is trinity. And because wildstar pve > gw2 pve. Gw2 is still free so i can play it whenever i want to. The only thingin gw2 that is better is the combat system. And of course because there are more pvp game modes.

no they have stability for the full duration. best thing you can do is use sword #2 and fly away. no matter how much armor you have, lich form auto attacks hit for 4-8k.

if its death shroud smack him with hammer, if its lich form just run because its suicide to fight against it without invulnerable, blocks, reflects and protection.
sure. its called death shroud and its like their second hp bar which is 60% of their original hp when they charged it.
hammer, necros dont have any stability.
you see, at least spirit rangers were viable at one point. no power ranger spec has ever been. personally i prefer power specs over condition specs but with ranger its just not possible. if you go for the signets you can dish out like one big hit and be useless after that or you go lb/gs with read the wind and survival of the fittest and hit like a wet noodle.
the damage is just a laugh and taking feline or birds doesnt work because you need the immobs and fears to keep the distance.
i find it much more annoying when people come and list their item for 2-3g less than yours because they think its smart and will get sold faster. if it doesnt there will be another person thinking the same thing and drop the price by another 2-3g….
at least with 1 copper the price would stay the same.

Sorry but 30k maul hits in a normal scenario cant be backed up without it. Especially not if the picture you linked was against a naked downed player.

No gems for losing but increased gems for winning. If you give people gems for losing we will get more afking players in soloq and teamq.
Maybe 25 per soloq win and 35 per teamq win. 0 for losing.
^ creating gems is better than creating gold as gems are not converted into gold but players buy them so its a gold sink.

What would be the purpose of this? Sb/s d has already a good poison uptime and the spider poison is weaker than yours. If you want it for the immob you could also take the drakehound which brings one knockdown too. If you want weakness use axe 3.

Necro plague stomp works in a similar way and is under normal circumstances undstoppable. Only exception is if you rip stability and interrupt.
Countering mistform or elixir is actually pretty easy. Instead of 1 player resing 2 have to do it. Another option is to stealth the player. Thieves eles and mesmer can get away on their own.
In a pvp fight where coordinated resing is very strong the game needs safe stomps so im fine with it. Safe stomping is not broken but downed state is. But thats a different subject.
from what i know its ele > guard > warrior but warrior brings the best survivability and is easy to play.
i would find funny if we got ourselves as minis, the looks of the character from the moment of the birthday. not sure if its possible though
That ncsoft game coming out tomorrow has implemented this pretty much.
Build your own fortress, fight 40vs40 and you can even catch and unleash pve bosses on the enemies. Warplots pls.
Never tried it.. but technically it should work. Will test when i have time. Although stowing midfight is tricky sometimes.
yeah i remember when southsun came out and nobody cared about it until they did the big karka event with the precursor inflation. then it was dead again until they had to revive it with the living story. maguma will definitely not get boring in two weeks if its similar to southsun lol…

“expansion-level content” isnt just a new map. it also means new skills, weapons and new classes, hello 3rd heavy armor class.
i dont know if im just a pessimist but with 2 new healing skills and 4 new traits per class in 1,5 years i dont think that we will get more this time…
possible. although they promised us some kind of dodge priority in the auto attack. meaning when you dodge the auto attack will be canceled and you dodge. most likely this will take another year to fix…
You can not dodge during each of the attacks in the auto chain. First of all you should disable loop auto attack as this will make dodging way harder. If im not mistaken you candodge after the first hit but not after the 2nd one. It all comes to experience and anticipation. i would not use sword for a power pvp build though as it is very unforgiving. No problem for condi tanks though.
Killed an axe/shield lb ranger yesterday in soloq with my lb/gs sotf and rtw build. He asked me if that was some new op ranger build.

The problem for lb rangers is that the adept trait in marksman ship is usually useless. Sure 7s fury when you proc sharpening stone is okayish but if they either merge some traits or imo the best option would be to move either eagles eye or piercing arrows down to adept so that we can take eagles eye, piercing arrows and read the wind. Further moving down quick draw to adept aswell would make me take it over wilderness knowledge or whatever the survival cd reduction is called.
And no, longbow can definitely never become too strong. Its one of the worst weapons in game.
you dont need sigil of force if you play cond regen ranger. either use sigil of geomancy for extra cond damage or sigil of renewal for extra healing.
even if ranger gets any buffs it will still take at least 3 months for the next ballance patch to come #lolesports

ranger is actually decent in pve if you play it right. people just dont know it.
i started to play in pve exclusivle with my ranger using sword warhorn and greatsword with a signet/spirit dps build. been kicked out of 2 groups yet without being able to set foot in the dungeon/fotm by some 2k ap wannabe elitists but other than that i never had any problems.
my auto attacks usually deal 2,5-3k damage with the pet hitting for another 3k.
rangers are not bad in pve. people just play them wrong. bear bow is just not optimal.
sadly pve doesnt require much skill anyway and classes shouldnt be measured that way.
in pvp rangers do need heavy changes. damage builds are almost non existent and while there are a few they are suboptimal compared to other classes. we can assume that ranger is the worst damage class in pvp at the moment.
when it comes to point holding builds stuff like regen ranger is fairly strong and can successfully do his job. i would not touch this build much other than maybe adding torment to dagger offhand 4 and removing the poison. as i said the build is not bad but there are classes wich can achieve the same and even better results and are therefore prefered over a ranger.
spirit ranger needs some changes aswell (so does mm necro, phantasm mesmer and turret engi, AI in general). those builds need to be less passive and more active. players need to be able to make more choices during a fight. a good example would be letting a mesmer micromanage his phantasms. when do i need it to attack?
spirits (AI) need a nerf in their passiveness and a buff in their activeness so that bad play is punished and skillful play rewarded.
its easy to say but very hard to implement i think. spirits (for example) would need more than one skill they could use, similar to the small pet actionbar but vertical above the corresponding utility skill.
and the ranger needs a way to fully manage the pet. generally the pet has 4 skills. let the ranger decide when the pet is supposed to use which skill.
i dont really care if its manipulation or not. the price will settle again if the players think that it is too expensive. but it is quite a coincidence that all the chaos guns are gone in less than half a day. another thing is that chaos gun wasnt the “only victim” but dusk and other precursors too.
its only annoying if you get all your money together to buy a chaos gun for 700 and something just to see all the weapons gone and relisted for 1500g :P not talking for myself but i think this could be kinda annoying.
Condition Duration makes it easier to spam/stack conditions, Jekkt – It’s the difference between struggling to keep 3 stacks of Bleed on someone, and coasting at 12-15.
condi spam = fast applying of conditions. duration is for stacking. to spam conditions you need stuff like geomancy runes, bleed skills and bleeds on crit. big kitten nal of different conditions is helpful too of course.
usually conditions come from auto attacks and auto attacks will never have long duration conditions. more conditions with a fast applyable short duration is actually better against condi cleanse than few stacks with long duration.

they should let rangers be like fotm mossman. everybody would cry in terror and die.
no with manipulated i mean somebody bought all the precursors just to relist them for a higher price. usually 1-3 precursor disappear from the market every day while about the same amount is relisted for a similar price. but when suddenly all the precursors disappear in a short time and in a price range from 700-1000g just to get relisted for 1400g it is clearly market manipulation.
the market has been manipulated believe it or not. first dusk to 2000, then the hunter to ~1400 and now chaos gun to 1500.
after checking the sell graph of frostfang on gw2spidy i noticed it dropped 15 times in 1 week which means 15 frostfangs have either been sold or removed from the tp. removing a frostfang sell order would cost 290g.
now my question is: how likely is it that those drops in the graph are sold frostfangs or removed frostfangs?

18k base health. no need for vitality so you go for precicison thoughness and cond damage on a warrior. use deep strike trait for extra bleed duration. problem solved.
you dont even need condition duration if you can spam the conditions or use certain traits/runes.
chaos gun manip right now. 2 on the tp for 1500g each xD
they should change IP like they did with dhuumfire. its not about being too strong or whatever but that it’s totally passive. you never know when it’s going to proc. and lets be honest who counts the seconds till the next IP proc?
believe me, many players really want something like this. AI on their own are often buggy and dont attack at all. another downside is that you cant control most of the skills AI can use, example ranger pets. so a little action bar for AI controls would be very spicy.

They are useful in pvp. Not so much in pve. Rifles on the other hand are more useless if you ask me.
