Much easier make optimal build when you use exotics. I don’t have motivation change my ascended gear when anet change things.

You can just flush the ascended armor/weapons on mystic toilet with a exotic inscription/insignia of the desired stat to change it. It’s not really more trouble than making another entire exotic set unless you talking specifically about the jewellery.

But honestly… Everyone and their mother just run Commander’s with 6Durability runes if they are power, and Dire/Trailblazer with 4Nightmare+2Trapper Runes if they are condition. Not much to change there unless you are running some niche build.

Seems to me that all of yall are actually having fun just being able to stack servers. Then completely carelessly kill your enemies by out blobbing them down, with effort or expectation of counter play. So again yes you will absolutely hate ESO. Skill, gear, and tactics, win against numbers in ESO. You have been warned not to try this game. But if you do just get ready for that one to 4 month Champion Point system grind, get ready for the month of gear grinding, get ready for that looking a guides time to optimize your skills and builds, just to begin to compete with some of the more dedicated PvPers of ESO. ZOS is making the game more and more of, your carefree skill-less numbers will not save you type of game.

It actually took about a year to ding 50 on my first character in DAOC

Sounds like your dedication and skill means something in these other games. GW2 is practically handing out everything for free, there’s no sense of…..difficulty?

You can always try l2p in gw2 or go play games where gear give you advantage.

But gear does give you an advantage in GW2, a big one in some cases, and GW2 is pretty much the least skillful mmo around.

It’s not like having Exotic Armor and only Ascended weapon and trinkets make it impossible to play… Honestly, a bunch of the competent players I know took years to get Ascended armor and it was never a issue for them.
I still play exotic armors on my alt account myself and the only issue I have is that it feel most of the professions can no longer compete without having their Elite Spec unlocked (as my alt account have no HoT).

Stealth has been the same since the launch of the game. Trailblazers and dire have been added somewhat recently.

Dire been on the game just as long as stealth. It was just harder to obtain prior they removed the Magic Find gear and added Dire on it’s place to the CoE Dungeon rewards (which also was several years ago).

Trailblazer yeah, that came with HoT.

if you mouse over an objective, it tells you who has claimed that objective. if you click the object it opens up a window that also tells you who claimed it and on the left side is a button to see the upgrades that are running.

He want to know which guilds put what upgrades. Any guild can put a upgrade in a claimed structure that meet the time criteria, and only the “owner” of the claim can overwrite existing upgrades.

The funniest thing is Scrappers and Druids get better mobility while in Stealth more so than Thief (thief just maintains some of their mobility in stealth, because a lot of their mobility is tied to the same resource as their stealth).

Druid, yeah. Scrapper? Absolutely not… Scrapper cannot keep up with Druid/Thief in mobility.

The servers cannot handle it.

I used to think that contesting should only happen once a gate or wall took some damage (equivalent to a siege hit). But at this point, I can’t care enough…

It annoy me that the WP is always contested? Sure, I have to take a long walk if I die. But since combat isn’t fun anymore, why should I bother with minor nuissances? I could go back to caring about this stuff if the game became fun again. But in it’s current state, it doesn’t really matter to me.

The more a character get access to mobility, more popular it become to roaming. That said, Necro is the lowest popular profession for roaming.

The guest servers are: Ehmry Bay, Sorrow’s Furnace, Gate of Madness, Ferguson’s Crossing, Darkhaven, Devona’s Rest, Borlis Pass, Sanctum of Rall, Eredon Terrace, Kaineng, Isle of Janthir and Anvil Rock.
These servers get moved around and linked with new partners every 2 months in a atempt of balancing populations across the tiers. They ultimately fail in this aspect, but they bring a varierity to the stale matchups we had prior the server links.

Well, my server just got out of a link with HoD and it was the worst experience post-links I had so far (even worse than DH+EBay versus the world). If you just want to play casually and don’t mind getting farmed while losing fights you should be winning, sure, HoD won’t be a problem to you. But if you are looking for a server with competent players/guilds, you are looking the wrong way… As I said before, the only decent WvW guild in HoD is RED. Outside that, it will be sometimes worse than playing alone (At least alone there are no rallybots).

@OP Honestly, your best bet is to move to a guest that usually is put up alone, so you minimize the chances of having AR on your pairing. Gate of Madness haven’t been in a tri-link yet, so I guess that might be your best bet (and you already showed interest on it). Other servers that been solo as guests are Darkhaven and Emhry Bay (But they been on tri-links in some pairings).

LOL not at all. Coming from DH we have had some tough times. That being said, when we were teamed with EBay and SF, we had some good matches regardless of the score we lost from. So the fact I have stuck with DH has no bearing on the win/loss ratio. I just didn’t like the bandwagon train that CD had when 4 servers teamed up to win T4, and lose miserably ever after. Not the great server that players seemed to flock to when they were advantaged. I have enjoyed my WvW games with every team mate. FC, SF, Ebay, NSP and now FA. The only one that has been no fun at all was CD for me. Win or lose. The best commanders are from other servers, and so many, even on the forums still ask for a 4th server again….why? cause they are tired of losing and the transfers are starting to regret their choice of move.

DH was never linked with SF (thank god) and I don’t recall anyone asking a 4th link for CD… I see it happening only as joke manner just as people keep asking to open BG (Anet plz make it true).

10$ accounts can do the same and they don’t even need to level up to 60 to do it. Like it was said before, this kind of behavior been around since day 1 and there is no point in limiting the F2P accounts more than they already are just because the OP thinks the troll is a F2P account.
