In any scenario with 3 or more teams it will always result in the stronger ones pilling up on the weakest.

Conquest builds are more focused in fighting in a point so they are more directed to sPvP (except Stronghold). You don’t usually have to worry about holding a point in WvW as much as you do on a sPvP match.

A thief that is idiot enough to step in a stealth trap after seeing a person kneeling to deploy it deserve to die.
Stealth Disruptors must stay and should be buffed imo as they are almost useless as they are.

There are barely any queues except on servers that need to bleed some people.

Because of DBL A-net will create another wvw map. Hopefully it will be more zerg focused, instead of roaming focused like DBL. Frost themed, where towers can treb keeps, and it should be more compacted to get to the action faster.

You are overestimating the importance of WvW… If it was really important, it would have received more attention in the last 4 years. The fact that most of the attention it received was only recently just prove that.

Considering that everything in Bitterfrost Frontier have double the price of Ember Bay and Bloodstone Fen, I am intrigued that the track don’t give double the berries. But then again, the track is just a copy-paste from the others with the only change being the final reward, so it’s not really surprising if you ask me.

It doesn’t change the playstyle much, commanders usually will value T3 more than T0 unless you have kitten commanders that abandon T3 for T0 then ignts.

The PPT is just reflecting the true value of T0 T3 T2 T1 , nothing more. However, I feel the value given is too high that it oveshadow the value of PPK.

It’s not about defending. It’s about attacking… Ofc people will try to defend their T3 stuff. But it’s not always that people will attack T3 structures because there was no incentive to do so since a T0 object worth the same as a T3. Now you need to knock off these T3 keeps if you want to stop the enemy PPT.

For some rewards tracks (I looked at the LW3 ones), they replaced tomes with siege. Kinda nice.

Bitterfrost Frontier was added with Tomes of Knowledge. Ember Bay and Bloodstone Fen ones changed to Siege however.
Non dungeon reward tracks also had some of the tomes changed to siege.

We have kodan tonic now. It allow you to fight for Koda. I won’t mourn any other tonic.

This is pretty much spot on, it will just enable the dominant server to get bigger wins.

That’s indeed a problem but what incentive you have to attack T3 objectives when you can capture paper ones and have the same effect? I think the ideal would be if the upgrades on objectives reseted with each skirmish, making you have to work toward upgrading them if you intent to make them T3 for the points.

I think they added this to incentive people to fight over T3 objectives instead of paper ones… Most of the time you see zergs only going for paper stuff to K-train while avoiding upgraded defended objectives because of how much time/effort consuming they are.

I believe you are correct because the problem could be easily stopped if there was a penalty. Like losing all your wvw bonuses.

So if the server I am become toxic I need to be stuck with it or pay the kittenton of gold that I invested in my guild hall? Better just quit the game entirely at that point.

Honestly, I don’t think the problem is in the trait system but in how some trait lines became mandatory to certain professions in a way it feels everyone run the same. That without counting how Elite Specs are pretty much mandatory as well so you are stuck with a single trait line that may or may not change according to the player.

For exemple:

Warriors are always Berserker/Defense/somenthing. Have you ever tried play a warrior without Defense? You’ll just die. Plain simple.

Guardians are normally Valor/Honor/Virtue or the Dragonhunter variant. That one is old tho, cannot blame HoT for this one.

Elementalists are always Tempest/Water/somenthing because aura share healing with boon spam is too strong to pass.

Necros are always Reaper/Curses/somenthing because you need that boonhate or you’ll be plain useless.

Mesmers are always Chronomancer/Inspiration/Somenthing to be able to take part of the sustain fiesta or the full Jihad variant Domination/Dueling/Chonomancer for “do or die mode”.

Thieves are always Daredevil/Trickster/somenthing because Trickster was already mandatory pre-HoT and the only way a thief can compete now is beind Daredevil.

Engineers are always Scrapper/Alchemy/somenthing because every one and their mother wants that free 20% boon duration from alchemy coupled with a lot more of boon aids.

Rangers are always Druid/Beastmaster/somenthing so they can run their shout bunker bullkitten with buffed pets.

Revenants are problably the only ones that seen have more effective builds than 1 or 2 , but the ones I see most are either Shiro Bois (Herald/Invocation/Devastation) or Resistance Bots (Herald/Corruption/Retribution).

Pretty sure Focus pull require line of sight so it would be impossible to place it behind the wall. It can however be placed on the front and pull a player toward the front ledge since it’s an AoE pull.

Mesmers need Line of sight to summon clones or phatasms. Again, another wrong assumption of yours. The only way a mesmer can have clones or phantasms on top of wall is if one defender show his face at the edge of the wall allowing the mesmer to cast the phantasm, which will follow the player until destroyed or shattered. As for ranger pets, it’s been at least 3 years since they fixed the bug where pets would ignore the wall and go attack targets on top/behind it.

Your only real argument is the Elementalist one (ranger barrage is far too weak to even be a threat to siege) which already been pointed out so many times but nothing has been done. So I wouldn’t expect any change to it.

I don’t understand how somenthing is “pay to win” when you are using the game currency. I would agree if these things were gem sales, but gold? Nah. I have all these things you calling “pay to win” and all I did was play the game. My guild hall was leveled up to level 45 with all WvW upgrades by 3 people. And none of us actually stopped to farm gold or flip TP.
Sometimes people go too far on what they are complaining about.

Unlikely… The score will problably be the score it is when the clock tick at reset. I expect no changes nor should they be done.

Fine. Let’s use your logic. Why do you play Guild Wars 2? Why do you spend hours, day after day, playing a game where there is no “winning”?

I play for entertainment. WvW for me is just a large sandbox where I can do whatever I want. If I feel like zerging I’ll join the zerg. If I want to roam I can. If I want to try ninja capture a objective before a blob arive I can. If I just want to k-train paper structures I can.
And if WvW isn’t being entertaining to me I do somenthing else. At 24,5k AP I cannot say “I only play WvW” without lying.

If tiers were “random” then your server CD would have a chance of facing a current top tier server, that would be incredibly boring for everyone involved. Tiers allow for competitive play, your server will eventually stabilize in its correct tier. “Removing tiers” is not an option xD

Top tier is just coverage not competitive. would love to trash some garbage t1 guilds.

They will just throw numbers on you. That’s what T1 guilds are about. That when they aren’t 3-4 guild groups walking holding hands.

Clearing five catas in three fast shots is OP. Bypassing siege placement caps is OP.

5 catas can rotate bubbles without the need of a shield generator so no, you cannot take out 5 catas with a cannon unless the users are kittened.

But I agree about the siege cap thing. I wanted to cringe as I was seeing lines of cannons in every wall of every structure.

I’ve got dibs on structures I didn’t even helped to attack problably because I killed a player around it.

This was big issue over a minor part of the legendary grind. The 800g precursor is not the item people are complaining about but the GoB? That does not make any sense. If that was the only reason you wvw and you did not get it after you had enough badges that’s your own fault. The amount of time it takes to get the new GoB is compared to the old way. Instead of doing JP and dailies they can just afk or play wvw for a few hours during a week.

They don’t even need to get “the green keep vista” for their GoE anymore…

You absolutely should be able to take a T3 structure with 5 or less if it’s undefended.
1 smart defender in a t3 structure can hold off 5 players for hours. Blobbing shouldn’t be the only way to play wvw, that is a big part of why wvw is in such a kittenty unbalanced place.

How should he do it? He can’t build siege on his own which isn’t easily destroyed by the attackers. The walls are easier to attack from below than defendable from above.

And no, you should not take an unguarded keep with 5 people. Taking a keep isn’t 5 player content. It’s content for large groups. And Anet shouldn’t make wvw even more rewarding for small groups. It already is rewarding enough running roaming groups.

Dungeons and Fractals also are group content but people can solo most of them. If people get through all the trouble of doing stuff with less people, by all means they should be rewarded for it. If your server is losing T3 towers/keeps to 5 people maybe you should tell to the omniblob spare some people to defend structures instead of asking Arena Net to not let it happen.

And no, roaming is nowhere rewarding enough. Running in a brainless zerg is much more rewarding (loot/wxp-wise) than running as a small group.
