I belive CD already received Svrn from us right (They were going to transfer this reset)? That’s a boost to their forces as they are a rather large force (at least for bronze standards)
Do the “Mercenaries” get reward for being in WvW? If not, this system will just be a major headache to anyone who don’t want to belong to a “hardcore WvW guild” since I doubt anyone would like to actually get pugs on the group (You see that already happening on regular wvw), and even if these pugs join, they won’t be rewarded for their efforts.
Also, if the alliances end up not being balanced, it’s clear that every new player looking for easy rewards will choose being part of the strongest alliance (which is basically what we see when everyone just stack in one server), making the balance even worse than it’s already is.
Lastly: We belive that the cap on the WvW maps are somenthing around 80 people. How you expect that 4 maps that can suposedly allocate 320 people to hold all the players from 8(NA)-9(EU) servers at same time? My server which is the dead last on NA ladder can field around 40 people during NA prime time, which means that us alone can take 12,5% of the total capacity of WvW. I’m sure any server above us can field much more than that, which means we’ll hit 100% long before we can get everyone on the game.
Yeah, we need a spark, but not of hope but the precursor one… These 1000g would be welcome.

I just put superior sigil of perception in everything because i can buy like 10 of these with the price i would pay on 1 bloodlust. And extra precision isn’t bad unless you have 100% crit chance already.

This week, yes… But T8 actually consist of EBay(or AR)/Kain/ET. And when we have Kaineng on the match, it’s a complete mess since they only play during off hours and have no NA primetime presence.

Idk, snow can get pretty kitten bright in the sun. It’s very reflective. Twice as bright as desert sand and more than five times brighter than a jungle.

A snowy map (ie Borderlands) can’t have a tropical level of sunshine (ie Overgrowth side) or a desert level of sunshine (ie Badlands side).
Reward player vs player a bit more than player vs arrow cart and it should be alright lol.

keeps yes, but the towers i believe are considered “Special objectives”
Stonegaze Spire, Tytone Perch and Inferno’s Needle are considerated towers (I’ve completed daily tower capturer with them)
The reactors however, doesn’t count as supply camps for achievment purposes (Daily camp capturer)
Should include how much gold spent for upgrades for weekly objectives
People would just start ordering upgrades in every tower/keep for their achievment points. I already have enough idiots ordering fortify tower in a tower with a 175 empty supply depot to have to worry with achievment hunters doing it aswell…

For clarification, I had not intended these to be do-able in EoTM. (there’s no dolyaks, mercenary camps, SMC, or defense happening)
But there are towers, keeps, and even if you deny it defense events can still be done there.
so people actually believe they spent over 1 year designing this map so that players could PvD ? tsk tsk tsk that’s rationalizing at it’s worse hehe
anyways I think the whole point of this post is that People need to let everyone play the game the way they want to, and don’t try to impose your thoughts onto other people.
and let’s all thank the Developers who put in the 1000’s of hours of work to make this beautiful map. it is a masterpiece after all.

The players killed EotM, not the devs… The map have a lot of potential, but it was all wasted by the greed of players. Anyone that belive otherwise is making him/herself a fool.
The strongest 5man comp I’ve seen so far was 2 guardians, 2 mesmers and 1 ele from tM (NSP).
Mesmers can port their own golem by opening the portal at golem feet, running in front and opening the exit elsewhere (then port back, grab the golem, and port again)… So i don’t see a issue with infiltrator arrow which have a much lower range than portal.

I got quite a few wxp from Toxic Offshots while defending Quentin Lake and Ogrewatch Cut… 1 treb and boom, problem solved, and I didn’t even left the tower!
Poor Dredge camp tho… I couldn’t treb it from anywhere safe…

Well had a great reset, and are actually not getting stomped this week…..
I gotta say, I am impressed with how things changed without kaineng… I’m sure both EBay and AR are also enjoying this matchup since it’s not a roflstomp by any server. Too bad Kaineng will return soon (They are losing rating so they are likely to get a T8 matchup) and everything will be bad again…
If you run you are bad. If you are good you stay and fight and win, even vs a class or build that counters yours. Baddies gonna be bad.
Lets see, there are two options: Stay or Run
If I run, I’m bad – End
If I stay there are two options: Win or Lose
If I win I’m good – End
If I lose, I’m bad – End
But there is a problem: People say that you beating bad people don’t make you good, because you need to beat good people to be good. But if people that lose are bad, it means you’re only beating bad people, thus you’re not good. And if you’re not good, you’re bad.
Conclusion: Everyone in this game is bad.
The only real problem with this matchup so far is that Jeknar hasn’t managed to stomp me, despite me emoting /sit and having a post-it on my forehead saying “Depressed – please dispatch”.
You forgot to mention the Superior Ballista, the Level 82 Camp Guards and the engineer that interrupted my stomp with a supply crate.
If they use the ranks as currency, people would just create new characters and keep expending their rank points as currency.
because many people in the higher tiers see T3 and below as inferior.

Wait a minute. According to other threads there are tons of people on Bronze Servers. And great fights all around. And even more activity on the BL than on T1 servers.
And then I see this thread. What gives?
Because the time he stopped playing both EBay and AR were at T4 (lots of people compared to T8). So he’s problably wondering why it’s no longer populated as it was on T4…
Map cap isn’t going to help. Maybe in T1, so you can get the constant Map queue 24/7 and say it isn’t a numbers game (and T2 a little) but for the rest of WvW, map caps wouldn’t be beneficial, and would actually tick off some people on servers who would be able to queue multiple maps during primetime and not be able to play much.
Contantly queues on the stacked servers would likely force these people to move somewhere else unless they like waiting everytime they want to play. That may would make people go to lower population servers, but at this point, I think they would just quit doing WvW or the game entirely….

Are you saying…. That you only ever fight thieves, greatsword warriors and bearbow rangers?
Edit: I see a few posts of people saying they never fight condi or certain classes…. I think the OP got his answer on why people run so much, it’s cause he’s not a zerker bearbow ranger with 6/6/0/0/2 traits, obviously judging from the posts thats what it requires of our enemies before we decide its a challenging fight.

Besides I don’t really have much problem dealing with condition builds if they aren’t using the food. That 40% condi duration do a big difference…

While I think merging servers is a good thing, 6 servers is too little to alocate the people that want to blob and the people that want maps with… well… less blob.
I’d say we could get rid of the lower 6-9 servers and still have a good space for both blobing and small scale with problably just 1 queue in EBG at best…

Yes… The other servers have much more rating than ET, so in order for us getting another colour, we need to roll high, and one of the servers above need to roll low.
The good thing is that it still mathematically possible for ET to be another colour blue (don’t even think about green). We can’t say that about Underworld tho…

Except when I want to K-train for some money. But I won’t rage if you want to defend either because, after all, it’s part of the game.
I’d say just remove Superior Siege from the game.
Stops having to click so much to make it.
Reduces the power of siege, which is too powerful now.
Increases the amount of actual players fighting players.

Have all the tiers stopped giving a rats kitten? or is it just t1. I swear every map but ebg is a bloody ghost town since seasons ended, is this a global thing? or limited to t1 where (I assume) the push to win was the most intense.
They are not down here on T8, that’s for sure…
- Traps that summon additional combatants (guards, creatures, golems, etc.) This is more for server performance concerns (skill lag.) While we have exception to this in WvW already, the idea is to avoid making the problem worse.
You could have a trap that removes adds. A trap of rock dog removal would get rid of about half the additional combatants in WvW.

Yeh, I received the 1 hour warning too… And the 10 mins one too… And the 3 mins one that auto kick me from the game since WvW shut down when the new build is avaible too.
I will throw my two cents in.
A trap that when activated will count the number of enemy players that pass through it. The trap could last for a few seconds, long enough to count a fast moving zerg.
The information that the trap receives would show up on the owners chat window in a unique colored text. It would also ping the map where your trap is located.
When a group triggers the trap it would make a faint glow on the ground.
Sentry Turrets from Overgrowth Observatory do a similar effect. This one is pratically made if they have interest in adding.
Golem always despawn when a new build comes up… You people should be used to it already…
