The condi meta (Which I rather call perplexity/torment meta) is likely to continue since it does not affect the “main” thing in WvW: The Zerg.
Since I don’t like it, I don’t play it. I have much more fun fighting in a build that actually require me to do somenthing other than spam 1 to victory… But ofc, I do have my perplexity condimancer to play when I’m upset with the kittenty roamers we see nowadays and their “carry-me-to-win” condi builds, so we can go out on same level.
WvW have two kind of matches:
1 – The one where you are severely outnumbered and roflstomped.
2 – The one where you severely outnumber your enemy and roflstomp them.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand I predict a possible thread lock.

All the PvE achievment hunters problably left WvW by now… They demand new content, and Anet need to give it to them.
You missed my gist.
Think about it…if you were a King and had to build an impregnable fort, and you had access to magic users who could teleport people in and out of your Fort…why not set up a system where you always had a Guard (mesmer) on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to leap down and port your people inside your fort?
Maybe the mesmer(s) comes down with the flu or is on vacation or asleep or having dinner or…
There’d still be a need for a door/gate. Especially since the mesmer portals are limited in how many people can be teleported through at a time and have a long recharge.
Spawn more Overlords Mesmers…
Really…in a fantasy world where mesmers can port…why do forts even have doors?
Because mesmers need to get inside the fort to port people in… We know some mesmers that don’t need to break doors for that, but that’s another story…
Eh, I don’t know what you talking about… Let’s see the options:
We have HoD (35), FA and YB (23), SBI, IoJ and CD (21), CD and NSP (19) and SoR (7)
Let’s maintain the scenario that HoD gonna win and YB is banging FA to stay in second.
If SBI wins, we’ll have: HoD (40), SBI and YB (26), FA, IoJ and BP (24), CD and NSP (22) and SoR (8).
In HoD/SBI/YB we belive that SBI will lose ending the season with 27 pts. Which mean SBI will be tied with IoJ and CD at 27. (SBI have more rating than both, so for tie breaking, we’ll assume SBI will be 4th)
If SBI end second, we’ll have FA/SBI/BP, which we belive FA will win. Which would end in SBI having 27 pts, ending up in 4th aswell…
I don’t belive SBI can beat YB in a matchup with HoD, and I don’t belive SBI can defeat FA. Your chances of getting second are slim at best and sincerely you have more chance if you go up against YB, since HoD is kinda off-balance now since they already have the season in the bag.
You scenario will only work if HoD continue to lose (which aparently is unlikely, as they already catch up with YB/FA).
Simple solution:
Everything remains as it is now. The only change is – when the “Fortify” upgrade is
completed – gates become immune to player damage.Advantages:
1) Very little effort required on the part of the developers/programmers to implement. Anything requiring too much time and effort on their part won’t ever see the light of day, no matter how great a suggestion it may seem.
2) It rewards players/servers who invest so deeply in defense that they manage to reach the “Fortify” stage. It provides a further incentive to upgrade that far. By tying it to the upgrade, it makes the defenders have to actively invest in their fortifications rather than passively do nothing.
3) It ups the stakes for attackers. If they don’t want to face a fortified structure where their weapon and utility skills can no longer damage the gate (thus nullifying the effectiveness of zerging), they will have to lay siege to opponent’s structures before they get upgraded.
4) It prevent 1 player from being able to constantly contest a WP in a fortified structure. You can still do it with 2-3 if you build a ballista, but one can always go there and destroy it, thus forcing the people that want to keep contesting the wp to build another.

Pretty much anything can be exploited. What is better, to have structures with same HP all the time no matter how outnumbered one server is or at least have extra time (with higher HP) to fight them. With that possible exploit you mentioned, I find it a lot easier to kill six those guys using cata then a whole zerg guarding them. It it exactly same now, zerg builds catas, runs off to take another tower and comes to cap the first objective.
Like I said on my previous post, I don’t have problem in defending paper towers from 20-30 man zergs if I built pre-empitive siege on it (If i did not, I deserve to lose that tower for not sieging it)… So, for me, it doesn’t matter if the walls will have more or less HP because I usually don’t let the enemy zerg finish building their siege.
The problem for me is when the zerg decide: “Oh kitten it and dps that gate down” simply because they can keep bashing their faces on the gate and ressing each other (using superior numbers advantage to power ress the downed/dead) and there is absolutely nothing I can do about.
…I can’t imagine what it must be like to be on a tier 1 server, but I’d sure as heck like the opportunity to face them for a week, even if it means we get face-rolled.
Trust me dude, you don’t want to see these 80man map-blobs…
For me it seens like the same of every other week… Except that our adversaries are going all serious for their rewards (somenthing we kinda already had set at the start).

If they just prevent player damage to gates (like walls), it would already be a great thing… Most towers I went all out defense and lost were because the enemy zerg decided to simply dps the gate down with no siege.
But having the HP of the walls adjusting constantly is no bueno… People would find a way to sploit this like putting 6 catapults with a 30 man zerg and then leaving only 6 people there to melt the wall with the catas (the wall will have lowered health as the enemy zerg is no longer near) and then running back to take the tower once the wall is down.
Try to defend red or blue keep from Overgrowth on EotM… You’ll get sooooooooooooo much more loot than you’ll ever see in regular WvW.

Would be a good idea only if it’s instanced like spvp, otherwise you can’t organize nothing due to the massive amount of trolls who will be interrupting.
FTFY… Roamers are respectful people for most part. Putting them along with trolls that interrupt GvGs and duels is a insult.

Sooooo boring… The Honeybuns haven’t wanted to step foot in WvW at all this week, wheres the fun in this matchup. We went in there once and it took a long time to find any enemies.

My guild thinking of joining JQ ts but since we are a multi-server guild we were told that most of our members we not welcome in the ts im sure its like that on every server that has a voice chat. As far as I’m concerned server voice chat can go kitten themselves. What we need is 1 voice chat server for the whole game.
Well, on my server TS (Eredon Terrace), we have a tag called “Guest of ET” for players that belong to a certain guild but they aren’t from our server… These players cannot see or join the WvW channels (They are not from the server so it does not concern them), but they have normal access to the areas for PvE, sPvP, public guild missions (that some our guilds host) and their guild channel…

Things are still quite competitive on NA T1, from what I can see. JQ made several strong attempts to take our keeps during night time (often with near-simultaneous assaults), but we managed to fight them off.
But yeah, we’re not seeing the multi-hundred queues we saw at the start anymore. I’m guessing that population is down now that most people have completed the meta, or they’ve gone back to EotM.
NA T1 is a joke right now. TC is getting the win this week and JQ is getting the win next week. The win trading has gone on for nearly the entire season
Anyway, I’m not feeling burnt out as I’m not playing more than I normally would. Yeah, I put in some overtime the first couple of weeks, but having put in hours of overtime in S1 and knowing how burnt out you can get, I deliberately dialled my play time back
They were both tied and Blackgate isn’t present… I guess they are fighting each other normally, and the loser of this week will get the win in the next 2v1 against BG next week. So they can untie again last week, without BG presence…

In other thoughts, sure it’s a good way to stop spies and what not.. but on a whole.. This is another ANet screwup. I disagree with the whole thing.
Its also to discourage people transferring in the middle of the seasons for better rewards. I think the penality is good… People that wanted to jump the ship had time to do it when the seasons were announced along with the new transfers prices (some server even were free).
Since the glicko is being used as tie brakers for ranking purpose (in making the matchups), I belive they will use glicko as the final tie breaker aswell. But it’s just a hunch, i can’t say for sure.
I’ve seen that there is a guild officer on the keeps and tower on EotM that server for claiming purpose, just like the lords of the towers/keeps in the regular WvW…
However, I’ve claimed Badlands keep for my guild and the active buffs didn’t came up. Aren’t the WvW buffs suposed to work on EotM? Because I see no reason to be guild claimers if it’s not.

It’s used as a gold sink in place of not having upgrade costs for structures in eotm like there is in wvw. The whole siegecrusher mechanic in eotm is broken and poorly done, though. He’s also very glitch filled and hasn’t been fixed. His paths are bad for all 3 colors too.
Eh, I never saw a problem on siegerazer on red side… He walks foward the left exit and go for the keep south gate.
But hell, who need to use 5g (total ammount siegerazer ask) when you can simply capture the workshop for free siege?
Also, for the guy that said he saw siegerazer event fail: It happens when he is activated and not able to take the keep. You get credit if you gave him some money.
You can’t learn anything about wvw in eotm since it’s just a spot to put a wvw merchant that isn’t stuck behind a queue’d area and a way to get badges that’s not stuck behind a queue’d area. Nothing in eotm has any effect on your world’s wvw areas. If you want to wvw then go wvw. Eotm is really fun how it is. Run around and smash stuff with a group with the risk of pvp. If you don’t like that there’s plenty of other options. Why try to normalize the whole game bu demanding eotm be turned into a 5th borderland?
Because just like you said… All other 4 maps are behind queues… (Not that I know what queues are, since I’m not on the blob tiers)

If you don’t care about WvW (sounds like it, since you just want map completion) you can always transfer to another server… Now with the megaservers, the only thing that can keep you in a server is if you are loyal to it’s WvW.
Now you gonna say “So I will have to pay to get my map completion?”. Well, your other options are: Hoping Anet to do a change (unlikely) or Helping your server to capture the points you need (sound unlikely to me too, as you don’t seen to be a wvw player).

Just had about 10 YAKS do this on SBI BL. It’s bad enough we are outmanned, do you have to rub it in by running around our spawn and picking off people?
They can’t pick off people as you are invulnerable inside your spawn… All they can do is kill a few NPCs and get killed by either invulnerable players or Legendary Defenders.

Also, I said that I find the “TS or nothing” attitude ridiculous, I never said I go around complaining that the commander isn’t speaking in the chat (or being a jerk as you say). And I don’t think that just because someone spent 100g on a commander tag that they can be a jerk to everyone else that don’t want to be on the VOIP. Again you made an empty argument…

Hmmm, the only person that posted against TS was NonToxic… But your post might be directed at me since I said I don’t use it, so I’ll give my response.
Like I said in my original post, I don’t think being on a VOIP is a bad thing. It’s actually good that you don’t need to worry to type your orders as you can simply “talk”… However, as a militia commander, I know I won’t be able to get everyone on TS for whatever reasons, but it doesn’t mean I should deny them instructions just because of that (like some people do) and thus, I end up using the chat. And I should say, I don’t have half of the problems everyone say they have when they are commanding the militia and people don’t want to get on TS.

Well, the mechanic is to get loot from wherever you are… You choose to stay dead and let the loot stay there instead of respawning and receiving the loot anywhere where you could pick up. The system isn’t flawed, you’re the one who don’t know how to use it properly.

Now, I wouldnt mind this, but it should really be the red keep lord that’s the most difficult of the 3. The Red teams are (usually) the lowest ranked of the bracket. So they should have the most advantageous positions. Not green who are (usually) the highest ranked in the bracket.
Overgrowth used to be Red (Badlands was Blue and Frostreach was Green). I don’t know why it changed…

Yesterday during the afternoon, Ehmry Bay went on rampage and decided to take over the entire Eternal Battlegrounds…
I don’t know how many defenders Kaineng had (they lost everything), but Eredon Terrace had only 3 people and we held the Overlook Keep for at least two hours against a 25+ group of EBay who tried every single siege placement avaible to attack it (They had the entire map except for the red keep). We lost outer gate, yeah, but the keep never fell (Inner gate and walls were barely scratched). After that time, we had more people to join the map and we were finally able to drive them off.
I don’t think VOIP is a bad thing…
But the “Be on VOIP or GTFO of WvW” attitude we see from some commanders is ridiculous…
I am one of these cmds . Do you have any idea how difficult is leading without ts ? When you have to keep talking to give orders where do dodge , where place offensive/defensive water . I think voice chat should be implemented inside the game .
No, I have no idea of how difficult it is… I do it many times and I have no problem… And really, the commander have to say when people should dodge in your tier?
