Better for what exactly? Both have their uses.

To explain, I did not mean to take balanced stance off your bar. There is no build for warriors that should not have balanced stance on it IMO.
I also trait for embrace the pain and burst mastery, which makes healing surge significantly better than mending if you ask me.
Fear Me, as I said, is situational. I’ll throw it on my bar if I’m fighting next to a cliff generally.
Also, a condi build will eat you. Fortunately they’re rarer in WvW than in PvP, partly I think because of the difficulty of acquiring the gear. The reason being is your burst is too weak to handle them, and they can instantly reapply every condition known to man as soon as you use your cleanse.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
I stated earlier that this was within an hour of gameplay and I got that many frags. It was mainly a test video, but I thought I’d throw in some other stuff like leap spots. Honestly leap spots are a warrior’s best friend. I also mentioned that there’s simply nothing a warrior can do to some of the strong classes at the moment. This includes mesmers, a dumb build like p/d thief, an even more helpless feeling with the Sword thieves… God help you if you ever encounter one of those that know how to use their broken skills. Engie’s are pretty hard too. They’re nearly invincible against any class. I put them up there with demigods.
You can actually beat a lot of these classes, you just can’t rely on combos to do it. Now, really good p/d thieves you can’t kill, granted, but you can probably get them to leave you alone. Phantasm mesmers are unbeatable if they know what they’re doing, but most people play easy mode specs because… well, they’re easy, if they were good they’d play something harder… and engi’s? Nade engi’s can be spiked down, tanky engi’s can’t kill a rabbit.
How is my utility choice odd? Stability is a must when roaming solo. You can get shut down way too easy. It also helps stomp guards, warriors, and engies. FGJ is pretty universal. I can’t find a better utility than that. Perma fury? constant 6 stacks of might? sign me up. You can also use it for a nice health boost if you run the shouts heal build.
Sig of Precision is debatable. I’ve run a couple different ones. One that went well with the shouts heal trait was vulnerability. Once they updated sig of might, I ran that for a while because of the 180 power which is quite nice. Tkittenlockable attacks was nice for hounding a guard, but it needs to be updated to unblindable 3 attacks as well. So I tried out SoP after I watched Matale video. I gotta say SoP is pretty nice. You can use flurry to imobilize an unsuspecting thief, pop it, then slam them with an ES. Learning to use flurry skillfully takes a while though.
Alright, I’ll get into this. You have no condition removal with the exception of your elite. You will lose against any moderately decent condition build, on top of that (most warriors will lose to these builds anyways) you probably won’t get away if they get the jump on you.
Mending: 2 conditions every 25s doesn’t really do it for me.
FgJ: great when in a group, lackluster when you’re on your own.
Sig of Fury: it’s not that it’s bad, it’s that other things are better.
Utilities that I, personally, believe to be better:
Healing Surge: Bigger heal, refills adrenaline, it’s like sig of fury rolled into your heal.
Signet of Stamina: A full condition cleanse, freeing you up to use your elite more liberally. Not to mention 33% more dodges is nice if you don’t have vigor.
Bulls Charge: Fight not going well? Escape. Fight going well? Chase. Also a great initiator, and an extra knockdown.
Fear Me: Equipped situationally, but this can have some laughable effects. The other day I took 4 people out next to a cliff trying to cata one of our towers.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Fights in the video are a bit boring, you don’t really showcase any good opponents. I’m not stating that you don’t know the class, or criticizing your skill as you obviously know what you’re talking about (The only criticism I would offer is in your utility choice which seems a bit odd to me).
What I will say though is that I don’t think this offers much help to those who are struggling against good mesmers, rangers, p/d thieves, engi’s, etc.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Daecollo’s posts are always ridiculous. Yes, the warrior needs buffs. No, it does not need a one button insta-death of doom skill.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Where bow/hammer inherently fails in WvW is a lack of ability to disengage. That is how you win as a solo roamer in WvW. If I reset the fight 5 times because I was losing 4 of them, then come back and win on the fifth I still win. Some may disagree with me here, to them I say: have fun with your repair bill.
That being said keeping a longbow in your inventory is a good idea. It’s fairly handy against pet classes (not really talking about rangers here with their immortal pets). In particular phantasm mesmers, and generally better than a hammer against p/d thieves. That being said I’d drop the hammer for these situations, not my sword/x set.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
1st leave in 24hrs: No punishment other than the loss
2nd leave in 24hrs: loss x5
3rd leave in 24hrs: loss x15
4th leave in 24hrs: sent to Guantanamo Bay and waterboarded for a week… or a 7 day ban, or some other crazy punishment as at this point you’re definitely doing it on purpose.
Also, hotfilled players would be nice when you’re short even before the game starts. AFK’s should also be weeded out at this time (if somebody takes no action during the pre-game they’ll be replaced, a notification will be given of course).
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Apologies then, most WvW videos I see are cherry picked fights and I kind of operated off the assumption that yours was too.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
That video appears, for the first 5 minutes at least, to be some guy killing people trying to run away and then running away himself…
Anyways, I think the answer lies in a balanced build gear wise. Your trait assignment looks fine. What are you running as your alternate set? A lot of people will tell you to go greatsword, personally I think mainhand sword and either shield or warhorn is the way to go.
Tips?
1) 1vs1 shield makes an excellent offhand, the damage mitigation from shield block will win most of your fights vs the average thief and warrior. the additional stun from shield bash is nice as well to start up chains.
2) Chain your CC for as long as your opponent will let you, stability means either go to your immobilizes or kite if they’re melee.
3) Pick advantageous terrain, I’ll pick a 1v3 if I’m near a friendly camp, tower or something of the sort. If I see them out in the open I’m running though. This basically comes down to know your outs, I’ve beaten a lot of people by feigning retreat and then coming back when they’re on CD.
4) Know your enemy, a P/D thief will beat you if he’s half decent. A bunker guard or ele will stalemate you. A good mesmer or necro are the two most difficult fights you can probably win. Everything else however is fair game.
5) The fakeout hammer 5 is a great way to bait out dodges/blocks, especially when you’ve already applied weakness.
Hmmm… and if you want a noobstomper combo:
bulls charge→1→5→2 [you may want to wait for your opponent to dodge after this, or you can head straight into] F1→1→1→1→swap→finish them
Won’t work against half decent opponents, but it’s pretty effective against the typical enemy in WvW.
I personally run about 2.7-2.8k armor with ~20k health, ~80% crit damage and ~35% crit chance. I’m not really an optimizer stat wise, but it works for me and if it ain’t broke…
Hope this helps.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Is this still being maintained? No updates in a while from the looks of it and some of those bugs are old/fixed. Anyways…
Hammer
Hammer 5 does not knock down for a full 2 seconds (closer to 1 really)
Earthshaker (and other AoE’s afaik) fails to hit targets on slight elevation changes (this might be my imagination but it seems to have gotten better lately).
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
I think that’s what the suggestion was if I’m not mistaken… Not even the big red target thing, but just having the target selected.
This is more of a mesmer thing than a thief thing, and it’s not stealth in itself that’s the problem it’s stealth+pets that make targeting a mesmer a frustrating experience. You have two choices, tab through the pets until you hit the mesmer or try to click him (which requires you to change to turn with keys instead of just mouseturn, which is a pain). Either way it leads to time where the mesmer through no particular effort can kite and damage you.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Even if it just removed a condition every time you gained an adrenaline strike it would be nice… Though converting one to a boon might be a bit overpowered in my eyes (not that it would make warriors overpowered, but that it would be overpowered as an individual trait).
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
There are a number of hammer+sword/x builds out there actually, and no they don’t only work against new players. A smart warrior will likely set up his big stuns with an immobilize, making it rather difficult to avoid. He will also likely wait out stability with his sword/x set, either retreating slightly or keeping his opponent immobilized. Also, hammer 5 can be used to ‘fake out’ an opponent and force them to burn a dodge by self interrupting.
These builds generally run 2.7-3k armor so they’re fairly resistant to direct damage, especially if they’re running a shield. The biggest weakness they have is probably condition damage and slows, but immobilizes not so much as many of them will be packing mobile strikes (I’m guessing you’re not talking about a shout/heal build as most of these don’t do all that insane of damage).
As far as beating them this kindof depends on what you play and your build.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
4 shouldn’t root, 5 should be an actual 2s knockdown (at the moment it is not 2s) and f1 needs a bugfix… so, yeah, 2 bug fixes alone would be a nice bump to the hammer.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
bumpety bump bump.
Just wanted to say been having a blast with this build (pun totally intended) to an even greater degree with our latest buffs. Really, give it a try.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
I don’t consider any player who loses 2v1 to be decent.
That being said I’ve beaten players 2v1 where one was so bad he died within the first couple seconds of the fight and the other player was decent, but I really wouldn’t call that a 2v1… more like a 1v1 with an appetizer.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Or I could just wait out the block, it’s not worth dropping a 2s stun, 8s stability, or a full condi cleanse to me if I can’t interrupt through it.
Man that’s really disappointing… Could have really made us an effective bunker buster.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
1% (per trait point) increase in adrenaline gain. Just a flat modifier to all sources of gaining adrenaline.
It fits, it’s not overpowered in any way, it’s useful. Yes yes, it doesn’t solve the sustain problem, but discipline isn’t a sustain trait line. Save that for traits in defense/tactics.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Dogged March and Destruction of the Empowered are godlike. Add to that the +180 Power and Unblockable status from Signet of Might and the Warrior is back where it belongs. It made this class feel like a WARRIOR again.
Signet of might:
Useless. CCs that go through will not knock back or down the blocking target. It will not interrupt the channeled guardian heal.
100b lands 1/3 of the way through, only.
Only reason I see it being used is for a big hit like Evis but even then..I usually check if someone is blocking before dropping it. I dunno if its worth it occupying one of my valuable traits just to make sure an ability goes through which it usually does.
Check out the thread: Warriors post patch for the rest of the traits discussion :o
CC doesn’t work through the block? That’s really, really disappointing…
I was planning on using this any time I ran into a ‘guard heavy’ team in place of bulls… guess I don’t have to waste my time trying it, thanks I guess.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Godlike? Might be a bit of an exaggeration… enough to make warriors seriously viable in tPvP? Possibly, but probably not.
DoTE is interesting as it provides an alternative to berserker’s power (how many classes go any amount of time without a boon up). Most of the current meta classes have near 100% uptime on 4-6 boons. I see this as being a source of many cries in WvW though, so who knows if it will last.
Burst Master means a 20% reduced CD on all bust skills… That’s a 20% reduction on an AoE stun, a 20% reduction on eviscerate, a 20% reduction on longbow’s firefield. That’s a big buff.
Dogged march is… meh… most classes can reapply these conditions so often I’m not sure how much i will help. The regen seems to little to help all that much.
Might signet? Still trying to figure out what I can drop for this. It sounds quite nice anyways and might give us a role as a bunker buster.
On the other hand, we will still lack much in the way of sustain (I see the weakness to conditions as part of that, not an issue of its own).
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Honestly I almost think they had your builds in mind when making these buffs, they seem to directly benefit them both.
I mostly run the hammer, I wonder though, +damage to booned enemies, or -burst recharge… actually have some choices to make now, it’s an unusual feeling… well, I probably won’t, I have a sneaking suspicion that they’ll underbuff warrs again.
I have a hard time running your longbow build though tbh, I’m not very good at staying away from the fight. Hammer build on the other hand I think really screws a lot of people up, constantly interrupting will throw a lot of bunkers off at the middle point, and the mobility makes it so I can contribute a lot more in solo queue I think. Not the greatest for 1v1, but in team fights it really shines.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Crits are always good regardless of your additional crit damage, and Berserker’s Power is good if you sit on your Adrenaline – which as hammer you really don’t. Since you were quite cordial, so will I be – but I specifically referenced a zerg vs zerg or large group vs large group scenario in my post, not a 1v1 or small group scenario. Earthshaker is not the only stun that is called for or used in a large group fight, and Unsuspecting Foe does not only utilitize your own stuns. In the vein of discussing large group fights, you do not spike or stand around to pressure ressers. You push through, about face, push through again. A hammer warriors main role in said situation is to be a frontliner to enable more damage taken by the enemy and less taken by your allies. Extra damage in such a situation, especially burst damage like that from crits, is never a bad thing – you’re fulfilling two roles at once.
zerg vs zerg wise I find any organized guild is going to run guardians. Guardians who keep AoE stability up on their group. Disorganized groups are going to get roflstomped anyways unless they have an extremely significant numerical advantage in which case there’s not a lot you can do. Adrenaline also isn’t much of an issue in a zerg, I’m almost always back to full well before my 10s CD is up anyways.
Regardless, I’m still of the opinion that if you’re running as a commander absolutely nothing should be geared towards offense. Personal survivability is your only goal, you go down and you better have a very organized group that can quickly switch to another leader.
Lastly, I was only talking about small group tactics because the OP was asking about a build for both.

This is a copy and paste of another post by somebody named stealth in the sPvP forums. I figure this must be another account owned by the same guy. He’s either slow or a troll, either it’s mean to make fun of him or best to ignore him. Either way I’d say let the thread die.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
More than just target I think, at least that seems to be the way it works for me when I turn it on. When somethings within a certain range they all seem to pop up, or if my mouse cursor is near them. I do this occasionally if there’s multiple mesmers on a team (It does get really confusing with just two of them plus six illusions, especially when they’re both asura) and it does help, but it doesn’t exactly work as you’re advertising it. Usually if there are no ‘pet’ classes around I’ll usually just leave the plates off entirely as I don’t like the extra clutter.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
This doesn’t turn off pet nameplates, just makes it so they’re not displayed at all times as far as I know.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
The only logical conclusion I can draw from stealth’s posts is that he is trolling. Best not to feed him.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Going by ArenaNet’s trends, it is obvious that the change to Brawn from 30% down to 3% was a temporary solution to the warrior’s high damage during beta. They just haven’t gotten around to finding a more permanent solution.
That’s just how Anet deals with things. First implement the fundamentals, then later smooth out the edges. Just like the matchmaking system, leaderboards, and tournament system – the main idea is implemented first, and then over time it gets streamlined.
Putting a bandaid on an amputated limb is not a temporary solution.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
So… Basically you want a permanent 2 strikes of adrenaline so you can use your burst and not suffer any negative effects. At this point I don’t think it would be overpowered but I think warrior potential would suffer as a result.
+30% adrenaline gain on the other hand promotes active gameplay, it might be simple but it would be useful and nobody could cry imbalance. Cast time would also be cool as it’s an entirely PvP related buff (I mean for it also to increase the animation speed of skills like earthshaker and eviscerate).
Lastly, wtf engi’s, we were brothers in brokenness not so long ago :p
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Unsuspecting Foe is great for a Commander who calls out the stuns and can therefore capitalize on them. Or any Hammer Warrior with ears and a VOIP listening to said calls.
And as far as roaming is concerned, solo I agree with your comments, but even in a small group 2.7k armor is too low in my mind. Just my opinion though.
unsuspecting foe is only really that good if you have very high crit damage, which he doesn’t. I run over 70% crit damage and still find berserker’s power superior. The fact that it also limits your combo (what attack do you think people with stunbreaks down are watching for when facing hammer warriors?) to having to start out with earthshaker in order to use your big burst. Being a one trick pony is bad. Sustained damage to me is also where you make your money if you ask me, spiking somebody down is great but if the group is decent he’ll be back up before you can burst again. On the other hand you can steadily punish the group, hit one with a little spike (it’s really not that much smaller), and then pressure those who try to res them. They might get him back up but if they decided to sit there that long you now have two (or more) opponents at low health.
It’s not that unsuspecting foe is bad, it’s just not that great compared to your other choices. I personally ran the trait forever until defektive came out with that hammer build, which I tried, and realized how little that trait was really doing for me.
Mind you I said 2.7k as a limiter for how low you can go, not as a target number.
Any suggestions on change of Sigil or Runes?. also about to use my laurels. I cant decide if to go for P-T-Crtdmg or P-T-Crit-
As far in as sigils go, fire is the go to for sustained AoE damage. Impact is also a good, cheaper alternative, but stability will screw you even further that it did before with this. I’ve been running lyssa forever, I don’t think you can beat it on hammer warr.
Other options on sigils that I think would be viable would be hydromancy, regular old force, energy and battle.

(edited by Jonwar.9205)
Unsuspecting foe really isn’t that great. You might be able to land a hammer chain in that time, if you land perfectly you might be able to get a 2-5 in which granted is a good burst. Then if they’ve got stability you lose a lot of efficacy for it’s duration, or if there’s any uneven terrain.
OK… As for advice, run different builds when commanding than you do when with a small group. As a commander your highest priority should be keeping yourself alive to direct your group. The commander suddenly stopping can really throw off the momentum of a push.
Throw in some berserker gear (not all though, don’t drop below 2.7k armor, being above is fine though). Put some points into discipline, traits here are very strong. Drop turtles defense for embrace the pain… Unsuspecting foe is overated… I’ll get more into this when I’m not at work trying to post on my phone.

I think these buffs are going to be great for hammer builds… Considering I run defektive’s hammer build these buffs actually look really awesome, but who knows.
Where does this boon hate trait sit, gm discipline? At work and I’m curious…
Hmmm, what leads you to think this? I don’t really see anything that would positively effect a shout + hammer build.
Who said anything about shouts? I ran a shout build once, quite frankly I think they’re awful.
For the tanky dps warrior I think a lot of these buffs shine. Most of these builds already dedicate 15-30 points into discipline (rarely less than 20). Also they’re typically slow attackers so block and blind are huge weaknesses, the new signed of might may mitigate this depending on cooldown.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
He’s not wrong, and this has been discussed to death in the warrior forums. Secondly, why would you have to nerf everyhing? If you were to buff brawn back to 30% the only skills that would need nerfing would be killshot/eviscerate.
Secondly, any replacement for brawn would be welcome. We’re the only class with a trait line with only one stat (3% increase on two skills might as well not be there). It doesn’t have to be damage, it could be -30% cast time on burst skills, +30% adrenaline gain, anything at all that makes a difference. I don’t think warriors would care what it was replaced with provided it did something other than give killshot an extra 300 damage.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
Presumably it’s a Grandmaster trait, since they’re combining the current ones to make room for it. Now I can get the full whopping 3% burst damage boost!
I am not going to complain, though I’ll probably run the new burst trait instead. Actually having to choose between traits will be a welcome change. I still would have preferred if the boon hate thing replaced our worthless burst damage boost…

You can’t solo queue and not expect to go up and down imo. The funny thing I’ve found is when you’re up it’s easy to stay up but when you’re down it’s hard to get back up. I dropped down to 25% when the new map started, seemed like I got a lot of teams with two brand new players for a while and 4v5’s. Then while in that lower bracket I started getting teams with three thieves or warriors on it etc.
So far have clawed my way back up to 35% and honestly I’d give the advice of switching to a roamer when you fall down the ladder as a bunker can only affect so much. I dusted off the old warrior for this map and I keep their treb down, cap the points they leave undefined and kill lone players trying to take our points. I know, warriors are weak, but win or lose at the treb I still manage to destroy it unless they send 3 to stop me, and it’s a lot better than sitting on one point while my team goes around fighting in no mans land while one player on the other team caps whatever points I’m not on until they swarm me (a bunker isn’t going to hold against 3 indefinitely without support, and will go down quick with that god forsaken treb against 2).
When I start getting decent teams and opponents again I’ll probably go back to my trap ranger or guard and bunker. Also note the difference in win/loss and 80%/25% is small as 40-50% is where most solo queuers sit I think.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
I was hit pretty hard yesterday (fell some 15%) when getting stuck with at least two rank 9-15 players on my team against r30-45 teams. I think this has something to do with new players winning a few matches and rocketing up in rating only to face true high rated opponents.

Just noticed your sig, I’m on EU servers not NA… I might switch when I move back to the states, but probably won’t happen unless my guild dies or something.
Oh kitten I didn’t even think about that. Oh well thanks anyway. Though from what I’ve read you seem like a immobilise spammer so your team can get the kill, probably wouldn’t translate too well to 1v1 anyways.
It actually translates very well 1v1, in WvW if I bate out an early stunbeak I can burst for some ridiculous damage against a helpless opponent when my crits line up decently (I’d guess on average 12k-15k). In sPvP I generally run a soldiers ammy so my damage is lower but I am still looking at 4k crits with 2 and 5.
EDIT: Also, regarding mesmers the Longbow still comes out ahead if you ask me, the firefield is a great way to handle their npc’s. That being said s/x mesmers are going to be a nightmare on a warrior regardless of how you skin that cat imo.

LoreleiI like the LB a lot as a opening weapon. It complements sword builds perfectly. That is the build I run. My partner runs a mobility rifle build. When we go roaming lots and lots of people die. They’re both great weapons if you build for it.
Now this is where I can see rifle actually working, in coordinated pairs. I actually run my control build as a lot of people capping camps that I run into are glassy warrs/thieves/rangers (I don’t get why people play glassy rangers when you can make them kitten near indestructible but meh) and while they’d have a rough time 1v1 if I add them to party and explain that the target I put up will be locked down (or at the very least out of dodges and stun breaks) and easy to burst we can quickly take down larger groups (My burst damage is quite high as well if I get a well timed combo in).
Pin down while killshot was being charged seems like something that would work pretty well anyways… and then add in sword flurry… but coordinated teams can always do a lot more damage regardless of class/build.
DolanYou’re on! I’m only level 10 in PvP to give you an idea of what you’re dealing with. Though if it isn’t in the next few days it’ll have to wait a month for me to get back from overseas (seems to suit you as well) I’ll add you

DolanDebating challenging you… But you’re probably really good and I’ll get roflstomped by the best…
I make no claims to being particularly good. I win and I lose, but the typical rifle/gs combo is hilariously ineffective 1v1. I don’t actually run a longbow by the way (I run a hammer+sword/shield setup, my own build) but I do have a bit of time fighting with one as I like to pick off the scouts with my longbow before switching to my usual weapon set. If sPvP is what you’re talking about I generally run defektive’s hammer build as well.
All this being said, I have no qualms with taking a challenge. No hard feelings afterwards is my only requirement, and to give me a couple weeks (I work in third world countries, and my internet service is poor at best when I’m on the job as I am now).
CookMETEnder“find yourself up against a 1v1 fairly quickly”
You’re doing it wrong. Honestly.
If you are in a Zerg, you should never leave it (pubs do all the time for a single kill and get owned by a hyena mob lol)
This was pretty untrue until recently, and even now I still find a fair amount of 1v1-3 in WvW. I honestly hate zergs, and will only be part of one when my guild is involved or if a major objective is contested and help is needed. Now generally I don’t get better than 1v2, but I’ll still take that most of the time depending on what class combination it is (I’m not claiming that I win most of these, just that I’m capable of winning and willing to roll the dice).

Longbow is superior to a rifle in the hands of a decent player against decent players. Blind, immobolize, firefield, burst damage from 3…
I’ve had people try to kite me with a rifle in WvW and honestly it’s laughable. I cover the distance easily, dodge cripple/volley if they fire it off before I get there and then they have to swap to melee once I get there or prepare to get their face bashed in. So they switch to their GS but they don’t have any control abilities so there’s nothing to set up their HB with. Of course I keep them good and crippled so they’re not running away…
Neither weapon is that great to kite with really as warriors just aren’t designed to kite. The Longbow at least can bring some strong AoE to a group fight and has decent utility to boot.
This is all opinion of course, but it’s backed by the fact that I have never once lost to a rifle warrior and they make a healthy portion of my diet when camp capping.

I don’t really understand if there is anything to punish leavers at the moment (I’ve never left a game as of yet) so if anything like this is already in place forgive my ignorance.
Wouldn’t the simplest solution be to simply count a leave as a loss, or keep them in the match regardless of logging out/quitting/etc and tacking whatever happens to his team on him?
A leave counts as a loss, but it is a loss shared by all of your teammates, too. So, one leaver affects the MMR of all 5 people on the team.
I’m assuming that you mean the leave counts as a loss for the leaver, and then losing the game counts as a loss for the remainder of the team. Losing double would be unfortunate.
In all I don’t really see the issue then. Yes, it sucks when somebody leaves, but does it ruin my day? Not really. I really doubt leavers are why anybodies behind on the leaderboards, I get matched against 4 as often as I end up with 4 personally (well, probably end up with 4 a bit more due to premades).
Ideally though I think if somebody dropped from a team they could be ‘hot filled’ with another player in queue if both scores are under 100. Everybody’s happy no?

I don’t really understand if there is anything to punish leavers at the moment (I’ve never left a game as of yet) so if anything like this is already in place forgive my ignorance.
Wouldn’t the simplest solution be to simply count a leave as a loss, or keep them in the match regardless of logging out/quitting/etc and tacking whatever happens to his team on him?

It’s a very interesting idea anyways… I might try it, and I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve run it myself or seen some gameplay videos of it, but on the whole it feels like every other warrior build out there… somebody else can just do it better.

Honestly I think thieves need a buff after their culling/stealth nerf. I play a warrior primarily and I don’t like anything being less viable than me.
Culling did help bad thieves a lot (they could land a backstab and a few auto attacks before even rendering). A really good thief can still give me a run for my money, but a good player can do that on any character. I didn’t find myself dying very often to thieves before the fix/nerf but now they can’t even run away, I feel almost as bad killing them as rifle/greatsword warriors now.

What good minor traits are there in defence… 25 is decent I suppose. Personally I find a number of defence major traits useful. I think the minor traits could be reported to something like:
Thick skin: reduces enemy damage based on range when wielding a melee weapon. 1200-300 in increments of 300 20%,15%,10%,5%. Might be OP but those are numbers pulled out of my kitten and could be rebalanced. The important thing is a flat damage reduction instead of the moar toughness solution
Adrenaline Health: same but heals for 1-2k (probably based on hp) on burst.
Armored attack: fine as it is I think.
For the original post sounds good minus the 25 which seems fairly overpowered for a minor trait. Maybe gaining protection, stability, retaliation or vigor (or a combination of a couple of these) for 5s on a shorter CD would be more reasonable.

Switching weapons cancels your movement abilities.
I just checked WW, Rush and Savage Leap and their ranges are increased by swiftness.
33% increase vs 50% decrease… also, when testing this myself actually got mixed results (generally got the increase, but not every time for some reason). I’m not sure if cripple completely negates swiftness or not, but it certainly seems like it (meaning it gives a 50% decrease and removes the swiftness bonus).
Also not sure how it works with cripple+chill and swiftness up.

Make warrior movement skills unaffected by slows or make them equally effected by swiftness (basically make them cancel each other out).
Put something, anything in place of the 3% burst damage.
Fix tactic minor traits.
Increase speed of movement skills an bolas so they actually hit occasionally (10-30%).
See where we’re at after that.
