And I’m in Ohio, USA. So I shouldn’t even have an issue with this. Not sure where the Maguuma server is located but there is no reason that I shouldn’t be able to play at all due to lagging out so bad that I dc constantly. I can play for about 5 minutes before I lag out and dc..

Oh as much as I’d love to have this be an internet connection issue, it isn’t. I have run speed tests to multiple servers on speedtest.net, even to clear across the country and have no latency issues and still get a great connection. It is simply this game, I have no problem with any other games, Netflix and Hulu stream just fine with no issues, but yet I am lagging out so bad that my game disconnects…

If it is any help, a lot of this has been on the Maguuma server when I am in Dragonbrand’s borderlands.

I’ve been trying to play for the past 30 minutes and I keep dcing and completely freezing from lag… Nothing else is having an issue, just this game… Any idea on when this is going to be fixed so my game is playable again?

Currently EVERY class has access to THREE sigil slots once the apply a stacking Sigil. Meanwhile Ele and Engineer are left with ONE.

I honestly have no words for how dumb this is that you even think this way. Ele has 4 attunements, each of which has 5 skills. So ele gets 20 skills where as everyone else gets 10. And I am not even going to go into the math on how many skills Engi’s get from having multiple kits, or how broken the grenade kit is anyway..

All I hear in that statement is crying to make 2 insanely strong classes to being over powered by giving them additional weapon sets to swap to.

Lets take a moment to imagine an Ele that can weapon swich on the fly from Staff to Dagger/Dagger. Go ahead and tell me that wouldn’t be INSANELY over powered..

Hope that puts a rest to that boneheaded statement.

Maybe I should rephrase.

Losing stacks under water isn’t a bug, you’re supposed to have a stacking sigil on an under water weapon to keep your stacks when you go into the water.

However, losing stacks when necros go into DS or when Engi’s change kits or Ele’s change attunements, that is a bug.

You have to have a stacking sigil of every weapon set (including under water weapons) to always keep your stacks now. That is the way it was originally intended in the April feature pack, but they didn’t do it the way they meant to. They fixed it to be the way it was intended to work now, so its not a bug, its how it was supposed to work since the April Feature Pack.

The bug part is when you go through a transform like deathshroud on a necro and lose them, or when engi’s switch kits or Ele’s switching attunements, nothing to do with going under water.

Any updates on this? Devs?

So in the guild menu, the “Last Online” thing just says Unknown for everyone who isn’t currently online. Just figured I’d let someone know that it isn’t working anymore since todays patch.

Also, don’t run from a thief, if you do, you’re 100% guaranteed to die because they will catch you. You stand a much better chance by fighting them and trying to keep them locked down in one place.

Here is a thought, how about playing a class that isn’t the weakest class in the game already in WvW… Thieves damage is stupid high, but the fact that a power spec necro can 3 shot pretty much any thief really blows the idea up about thief being over powered. I get just as annoyed as the next guy when 3 thieves chain backstab and heartseeker on me, but I generally win those fights on my Necro because thief is actually a terrible class when the person playing it gets over confident, which they typically do in 3v1 situations.

My suggestion, play a necro or warrior if you want to beat up on thieves. The key is to spec the classes correctly also, simply playing a necro or a warrior will not win a fight against thieves lol.

So, if its going to be called “Detailed Score” – can we please make sure its accurate? Its completely broken, the ppt is wrong, its several keeps/towers/camps/sm depending on what map i am in, seems completely random but its also completely wrong.. I logged in to see we have 95 ppt, instant reaction was to go straight to home BL to defend what we have left or take back our stuff, only to find we own everything in our home bl, then I go to eternal to find that we also own our whole corner and SM…

PLEASE Fix this stupid “detailed score” and PPT to accurately reflect the points and what is owned on what maps.

I mean, I normally only do the open field fights in WvW, so any kind of siege mastery is useless to me.. Really wish I could get my points redone on my necro lol..

I know that this is supposed to be reset whenever they decide to pool the wxp (which btw is taking forever and should have been done that way in the first place) – but basically all I want is to reset my rank points. I’d be willing to pay for something to reset my points if that was an option.

My story is short and sweet. One night, I got very drunk and decided that GW2 was the place to be, then I decided that I wanted to be a ballista master… Well, I was saving those points for my guard stacks and blew them all on ballista mastery lol… So I’d prefer being able to reset them without waiting however long its going to take ANet to pool the WXP, but not sure if there is a way I could do it by contacting them or what…

Anyway, basically the point was that there should be a way to reset the points at our leisure.

This is not true, portals can reach from both the north and south inners, all the way outside the keep. I have done it many times myself. Im not denying any thought of cheating, but a portal is absolutely possible.

On a side note, both BP and AR learnt to thoroughly sweep their keeps back in our 13 weeks of matchups with ebay

Tried it on my mesmer, portal is too far.

Edit: Nevermind, I did figure a place out to do it at north outer gate, but people were scouting at north that were very surprised when it flipped and guards started hitting them lol…

95% of the people in this game are afraid of losing to even numbers. That’s why you always get weird explanations in return when you ask for a fair fight. I have given a lot of guilds kitten for this but in reality I don’t care about it at all.

EB has been playing BP so much these past 6 months and for the first several weeks I would ask for friendly small scale GvG’s every week in the forum thread as well as in-game. After that I gave up because nobody would ever reply. The same goes for pretty much every other server in the game too.

The reason that most groups will respond with a no thanks is because most set their group composition is setup for 15-20 people. It gives a perfect balance of front line and backline where there are factors of skill, builds and ability to work together with the group composition. Most don’t want to do a 5 man because their characters aren’t built for 5v5’s, they’re built for 15v40s (or so the good ones are.) I can tell you that in a 5v5 situation, I wouldn’t do well as a backliner. It is very easy for 5 people to have instant stability from one guardian and run right past the front line and aim the poor necro (me) with no stability standing in the back trying to drop his nukes lol..

So yeah, it just isn’t how most skill guilds have their characters build. I can tell you that I wouldn’t want to risk losing a 5v5 under the any tag that I rep because I know that none of the guilds I run with build like that.

If you want to setup a 15v15 or 20v20, I’m sure you could get in contact with BB pretty easily to set it up, they love to do GvG and I’m sure its been pretty dry for them since we all fight all the same guilds every day now with this new way that they’ve got the tiers set up. Better get comfortable with this match up until Dragonbrand moves up a couple ranks from their oceanic presence lol..

I’m sure it will just be the crap line of him camping in there for the 6-7 hours we owned both keeps. You can note that there are not 2 mesmers inside of the lords room in my screenshot, so that isn’t a possibility. The problem is you are underestimating BP on how well we actually sweep our keeps when we take them. This guy is blatantly using a cheat program, there is no question about it, and the people who were with him? A warrior, necro and thief it looked like?

They’re garbage and anyone trying to defend them is also garbage or just completely unaware of what kind of cheats people are using in this game..

I have a mesmer myself, I love having portal, but if people use it like that – they might as well just remove portal or nurf it greatly to solve the issue since they can’t seem to fix a hack that people have been using in this game for months..

Guys, you need to understand this is all they do. They literally don’t care about sitting in a a keep for hours on end. All they want is the “epic cap”. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he was in a party with 3 thieves for that long. I’ve had raids where he starts out in a keep, and then when we end 5 hrs later, he is still in there. His dedication is pretty crazy

Edit: Must be a coincidence that after so many people saw them cheat their way in and reported him that he went offline when we pm’d him telling him he was reported for that trash, right? I doubt he got banned because anet doesnt seem to care when people cheat, but I’m sure he didn’t like getting caught and spam pm’d by people who saw his kitten do it..

There has been no BS talk. Yaks and Ebay made an alliance and Ebay would have NEVER beat BP during the season if it wasn’t for Yaks help. Fact is that it is cheap, I don’t really care that we tied with Ebay but it was just pretty sad to see both servers sell out.

And I mean, Yaks could have picked a better server to have an alliance with, even being double teamed, Ebay didn’t beat us by much lol.. BP hasn’t been hate targetting EB this match either, you can clearly see that we’ve been hitting both sides fairly equally by both of their scores.

Teaming up with another server in matchups basically just makes both sides look weak, I know that Yaks can beat BP, you all have t2 coverage. You’re fighting SBI and Maguuma and all 3 of your scores are so close together. Go figure, a tier 2 server is on par with 2 servers that didn’t belong in Silver lol..

At least having yaks bend buffing ebay’s score was interesting, this match up is boring. Thanks for all the bags when you guys decided to come try to play though.

PINK was running tight because the person who commands it knows how to keep pugs together. It isn’t a skill guild, the commander is phenomenal though.

VP, however, is a highly skilled guild. I am a member personally and I really enjoy running with them – trust me, if they are ever not tight, its planned. They are very organized, glad to be a part of running with them when I do.

EBay generally doesn’t HAVE twenty people (to spare).

And BP…well, why isn’t BP taking them keeps?

Personally, I’m finding this matchup kinda boring. Not because of the teams, because it’s same ole, same ole there. It’s just that there’s a butt-ton of PvE-ers around (and even worse, PvE Commanders) who clearly don’t give two craps about WvW or the people who do it.

Then there’s the large amounts of skill lag. Even when a monster zerg isn’t around, we’re getting skill lagged.

And then there’s YB’s conservative play. Yes, I’m aware that it’s nice and safe building siege as far away as possible with trebs and cata’s, while defending with 3x+ more numbers than the defenders have, but gosh golly gee is it boring.

Though when the stars align and there’s no skill lag, and we meet out in the open field, it’s pretty fun. I’m hoping that after a few weeks when the majority of the achievement chasers get what they want then go back to farming for ascended weapons or the upcoming ascended armors, things will settle down.

The PvE noobs are driving me insane too, they’ve successfully caused a queue in BP BL for most of this match up doing stupid crap and causing us to lose our stuff since the real WvW players can’t even get in. And yes, the PvE commanders are also annoying, having 4 commanders on BP BL and none of them are actually doing anything productive and no one has ever even seen them before lol..

I haven’t experienced any lag at all personally this whole matchup, not even on reset night. I’ve seen plenty of people complain about it, but I’m just not seeing it.

Well, so far this week has really blown for people who run in small groups or solo. Not everyone enjoys zerg running, but now I see exactly what I have to look forward to in silver league.

Guess it will be blob wars and anyone running with less than 20 people is subject to immediate death haha. No big deal, guess I just have to start playing tricks in order to not be caught from now on lol..

If it was a couple hours ago, that fight was so stupid, half of our zerg didn’t listen to the commander and charged in and got wiped which screwed our whole push lol.. I didn’t die in that fight, I was there until the very end killing you guys off in the end. I ended up having to ditch the tower because a 30 man zerg charged in after we dropped the champion lol..

I never drop seige in a fight, I have seen what you mean though and I am not a fan of the idea when it happens either. But it doesn’t happen EVERY TIME.. lol. Seige is dumb, especially in open field. I’ve seen you guys retreat to towers and keeps to jump on seige from us in open field when we didn’t have seige. I think they’re only dropping it to do some good range damage while you’re all running. :P

But seriously, the ego to mass shrug when core wipes out 3 people with 30 is pretty sad. The funnier part is when a pug zerg wipes them and doesn’t shrug because they aren’t even coordinated enough to do such a thing lmao..

Whoever earlier said that BP runs too much, please stop running from BP. We’ve been trying to find fights all night and everyone from both servers has equal sized zergs and running…

Also a note to CORE – we wiped you repeatedly and don’t shrug with a pug zerg, yet you wipe a group of 3 people with 30 and mass shrug lol… Please stop being bad.

I’ve been roaming all week solo or with one friend and really haven’t had too much trouble. If we run into a zerg, we just try to fight the inevitable lol.

I think that I’ve only really been zerged a few times this whole week while roaming around solo/duo. I made my rounds so many times in ioj BL that I took my ranger from level 50 to level 80 without getting caught but a few times haha..

This has been the best match up that I have ever been a part of. We’re all so closely matched that a winner is nearly a flip of a coin.

Great fights this week, IoJ and CD. It has been a blast!

Nope its just throttling you from being able to spam sell stuff, which may be some kind of idea to help with server load issues but the problem with it is that is makes using the trading post a pain..

I am pretty sure this was put into the game intentionally, but this “Error attempting to sell” crap drives me INSANE… I deposit all collectibles all week and then one day of the week I decide to just go to my bank and sell everything on TP. So I end up spending an hour doing this because I can’t just sell my stuff without getting throttled.

This crap needs to go, please make it go away..

God, YB is as bad as BP with hiding in the towers. Almost an hour in their BL and I couldn’t get one person to actually duel me. Always gotta be 3:1 or better. One guy of higher rank than me actually hid inside a camp, behind the guards of all things. Wouldn’t come out and play, so I walked off, went in a big circle, came back, and capped it anyway. I am disappoint.

I honestly don’t understand why people bother playing the game if they aren’t going to PLAY THE GAME. If you’re in WvW, you obviously enjoy PvP so why are you making the NPC’s do the work for you? Or why wait until you outnumber the enemy to attack? If you don’t enjoy using SKILL to beat players, go back to PvE where you can gang up with your group and auto attack a mob to death.

Definitely agree. I run into uneven fights and honestly, I don’t even care if I die lol. Just a waypoint away from giving it another chance. No one ever got better by running away from fights or hiding from them.

I’ve had some pretty fun fights this week, I typically roam around solo and have come across several people who have given me a fun 1v1, but then I’ve also run into those people who run like hell (usually warriors..) until they meet up with another person and then its uneven lol..

I’ve mostly only fought with ebay though, seems like every time I run into YB they always have 10+ people lol.

You see, people with jobs play in the evenings when they can for stress relief during the week and sometimes during the day on the weekends. On the weekend nights, they go out on the town (or to whatever party, charity event, child’s sporting event, etc. their wives have scheduled) because they have better and/or more important things to look forward to than sitting in front of a computer for 6 hours on a Friday night.

Exactly. Wonder if he understands why prime time is 6pm server time… Most people get off work around 5pm, thus, prime time and most active time in the game… I personally spend my weekends doing other things usually.

BP definitely needs some more pointers from ebay, I mean, beating them consistently the past 3 times we have gone up against them proves how bad we are, especially considering we typically beat them by 30% of their score. We’ve had plenty of resistance during our “door smashing” – just because it was met with failure on the other end doesn’t mean that “door smashing” was the only thing that happened to cause that score. We’ve defended our borderlands greatly while taking over other ones and keeping ebay in their own BL to protect their stuff, but alas, still losing it.

The only reason ebay is even as close as they are to us (which isn’t close at all) is because they went pvdoor on SBI bl with no resistance for most of this matchup.

My whole point is that ebay trashed us for 13 weeks about how bad we were, we were losing then and we don’t intend to trash you for how bad you are doing against us now, but I don’t see how you come off calling us bad now that we’re beating you.

We aren’t running from your fights, we don’t need seige in open field PVP as I’ve watched Hawk and GH both do multiple times this week against WFD and still fail. So all of the things that ebay previously said we were bad at which was: Organization, communication, open field combat, “hiding behind seige” and just about any other line they’ve used to bash us have been put to rest in my book.

As for the “numbers game” – You do it too if you can. I’ve seen it many times out of ebay, I have zergs of 30+ chase me down when I am roaming solo, sounds like you guys are getting desperate for loot lol..

I suppose you all can keep being mad, keep trash talking when losing or throwing out excuses for the rest of the matchup or you can get off the forum and try competing, we would love the competition.

100% agreed. Most people don’t realize this and jump to call our server so bad all the time. Honestly, the issue they’re having is that we got good. We’re organized, have set times certain guilds hit certain maps – we’re doing pretty well, I think.

Those two guilds combined, which seem to always be together have 60+ most of the time between the two of them.
