Been trying to get into WvW for the past 10 minutes since I logged in and can’t… I restarted my game twice.. What is going on???

You could have 26k health on a necro, and grenade barrage with grenadier will still down instantly. It isn’t the same regardless of the sarcasm.
Screens or it didn’t happen. Better yet maths. Please, please, show that a 26k health necro can be insta downed by a single engi GB.
While I was on my Survival Ranger, just after Gate Of Madness had taken our keep in Eternal Battlegrounds, I was standing around outside our spawn with a few other players. A few GoM were staring us down in the distance from the foot of our keep they had just captured and suddenly I was insta-downed as an Engi revealed himself in front of me.
With all Rabid armor, Rabid weapons and Dire/Rabid accessories, I had 3.1k toughness and 21k on my health bar. With Bark Skin, I would have taken 33% reduced damage while above 90% health meaning I effectively had 3.3k toughness. And I was one-shot from full health.
I don’t have screens, so if you don’t want to believe it go ahead. You’ll believe it when you get hit by it.
Yep, until Anet says otherwise, its working as intended. So everyone should just report every time it happens and run Engineer and repeatedly do it until Anet is tired of the reports and just disables the Grenadier trait like they did Symbolic Avenger on Guardian.
I think the reason this won’t happen is because it doesn’t really effect the score. SymA was being used as a zerg exploit to cap. In order for GB to be placed in the same league, you’d have to get engi zergs running around and show that they could cap a fortified tower in no time by use of grenade barrage.
Incorrect, with borderlands bloodlust, each stomp is worth 1 point. Sure, in the long run, 1 point isn’t that important. We’ll see tonight when Maguuma does our Engineer blob how fast that OP grenade barrage can take down gates then maybe Anet will fix it too.
Oh, and we also left WvW with our Guardian blob and zerged down Tequatl for laughs in less than a minute. So even if Tequatl dying so fast was the reason, Maguuma still contributed with our Guardian blob.
you didn’t force jack by doing it in wvw, its tequatl getting melted down after having its HP doubled that forced the fix.
I wonder how many people actually care about Tequatl going down fast providing them with loot faster. It is not like PvE is a competitive environment. WvW on the other hand, I got around150 champ bags yesterday in a couple hours of following the Guardian zerg around and pressing 1 on gates and watching them melt in less than 10 seconds lol.. Pretty sure WvW forced this, not PvE..

Just run Grenadier trait, toolkit, grenade kit and rifle turret. Use toolkit 5 to pull your enemy then your toolbelt skill for Grenade Barrage and enjoy the easy win until Anet fixes their broken game.
Tank up more, you’re too zerky.
Anet won’t care until 60 people are being reported every 15 seconds due to being able to bust down gates in 5 seconds lol. I’m sure they’ll disable it tonight when the same thing happens.
Yep, 100% 60 man Engineer raid, all press Grenade barrage on gates and see what happens lol. They don’t need to pay people to try to break the game after a patch, they have Maguuma.
Every development company I’ve worked for has had the same out take on thing, one team, one goal. Even if you’re a developer, your employment depends on the product selling. I get thrown in to bug fixes from parts of projects that I never even touched all the time, that is part of being a developer…
People have been complaining about Grenade Barrage and Symbolic Avenger since the patch happened. What does Anet do? They decide to add outfits to the cash shop, push the expansion some more, double HP of world bosses and refuse to reply to any mention of these bugs making our game play in WvW incredibly bad..

Anet has this trait disabled thanks to Maguuma forcing their hand by ktraining down doors in WvW for hours.
Maguuma is going to do an all Engineer Grenade run tomorrow to force a fix on that like we did on the symbols for Guardian if it isn’t fixed by then.
Yes, disable Grenadier as well on Engineer please. At least that will tone down some of this garbage.

Thanks for fixing the guardians being able to bust down doors so easily, that is at least one less bug.
I don’t think it matters, the game is just broken until Anet decides to fix it. Just tell your friends not to buy the expansion until Anet fixes the broken game.
Maybe they need more people to buy the expansion to pay their developers to fix stuff…
Dear Anet,
You’re not inspiring any confidence for me, my guild or many many other people who are playing WvW to spend more money on this game to buy the expansion. There are so many bugs right now that it is unreal. The game is in such a state of brokenness that it is almost unplayable for PvP and WvW is just stupid broken. Devs are replying to stupid things like outfits not being right but not to actual issues? We just want a reply letting us know you care about more than PvE and the cash shop please.
Examples as follows:
- Engineers can press Grenade Barrage and one shot just about anyone.
- Guardians burning stacks dealing 10k damage per tick.
- Hammer Guardian damage being unreal enough to take down a WvW gate in less than a minute with 10 Guardians.
- Rangers are still able to press 2 and nearly down someone with longbow from 1500 range, which has been complained about since they buffed it.
- Warrior kill shot is one shotting people.
I am sure there is plenty to add to this list, but this is the things that I have personally seen a ton of. You’ve effectively made fights in WvW pretty much pointless, it is all about who is running the cheese one shot builds that you allowed to happen.
As a developer myself, I know that things like this unexpectedly happen. But what I also know as a developer is that having your priorities straight on bigger issues that so many people are complaining about is very important.
Now please tell me and everyone else why we should buy this expansion that you’re shoving down our throats without fixing the problems that the game has. I imagine this will get deleted because deleting posts that are being straight forward is easier than fixing bugs too.
Full zerk well necromancer is the HARD counter to these cheese burn guardians right now in WvW at least. I fought one on my Engineer and got destroyed, then used my Meditation Guardian against the same guy and had a pretty close fight, but alas the burning got me. I got on my necro and utterly destroyed the guy, no contest even.
Full zerk necro is also the hard counter to these zerker Engineers that just magnet and grenade barrage. You just go in DS, let them blow your whole DS away with the grenade barrage, just drop wells on them then press dagger 4 then axe 2 and the Engineer lost the fight pretty much immediately.
Mesmer is in a weird spot right now, especially condi mesmer. I would say a full zerk shatter mesmer that chains dazes and interrupts could possibly win, but you’re still going to have a tough time because the cheese is real.

As for the original purpose of this thread, I agree completely. It would be nice to see our cooldowns when we enter shroud. I time it pretty well in my head but it is nice to see those cooldowns.

Anyone hoping that it is working as intended is lazy and needs to learn how to play the game.
Like I said, I’ll play my full zerk engineer and one shot people until enough people complain about this and Anet fixes it. They can change world boss HP (because that is important), but allowing people to be one shotted in WvW and PvP is no big deal I suppose. #PvE #Priorities #Anet
I think the more people get one shotted, the more people will complain, the faster it will be nerfed.
I was in a 2v1 last night on my engineer, warrior and Necro vs me. I pulled the necro using magnet then used grenade barrage to down both… Tell me how that is not broken, Anet…
Hope they decide to fix this soon. It’s pretty dumb getting one shotted for no reason in WvW lol..
Until its fixed, I’m going on strike from playing my necro. Only going to play my engineer to make it more well known how dumb this is by one shotting everyone I see.

Burning will get nerfed. Either way, we still should have a trait for this.
Run a warhorn and keep pressing 4, that’ll do.
Cavalier and zerker is a better mix. If you want more HP, drop the virtues line. Honor line will be better over all because you’ll get heal on dodge, an extra 3K HP from Force of Will trait and Might from Empowered Might for you and allies almost every time you crit. Maybe just check out my Meditation build.
A side note, I have a 3rd Greatsword that I have a sigil of speed on just so that I can grab a bunch of pve mobs every couple minutes, kill them, switch back to my normal GS and keep moving lol… That just doesn’t seem like it should be necessary.
Being forced to run staff while roaming isn’t really great. Also being forced to run travelers or speed runes is not a good answer either. The only other class that I remember needing to run traveler runes was Mesmer. I definitely shouldn’t need to give up Melandru runes to have movement speed, that is way too much toughness and negative condition/stun duration to give up to move faster.
Every class gets 25% movement speed but Guardian… Rather it be from a signet or a trait, everyone else has it. Why is this? I really hoped that they would surprise us by finally giving us our much needed movement speed, but nope – still stuck being slow unless we run a staff and stand in a symbol to get swiftness or have someone in our group that can provide swiftness…
More often than not, I am solo roaming in WvW, people can literally just walk away from me in fights. I’d really like to see Anet do something about this since it has been the biggest Guardian complaint since day 1..
Burning needs a nerf badly – it isn’t just guardians or eles, it is the condition itself is too strong right now.
Spike DPS is coming from everywhere. Necros, Rangers, Eles and Engineers are all very large damage dealers. Being bunker support is not the way of the world anymore, this is the battle of the bursts now. Dodge rolling, utilities that mitigate damage and more zerker/cavalier less clerics/nomads is going to be the way to play now.

I’m guessing both medi and AH will still be viable with the new trait system but it all depends on what the other classes are getting for buffs. It appears AH will lose any offensive ability they may have had with the loss of two-handed mastery.
If all other classes are getting more powerful while guards are getting nerfed, along with losing guard stacks, it could spell big trouble in WvW for guards.
Anyone who still used two-handed mastery wasn’t taking full advantage of AH. Empowering Might is light years better than two-handed mastery because every second you’re spitting out might to 5 allies, you’re also healing yourself from it just from critting.
And as I said before, there is no Guardian nurf unless you’re playing a really bad build. The build options for guardian are incredibly better now than they were before. The group spec Guardian build in WvW is now able to take full advantage of the Honor, Valor and Virtues lines, so you just GAINED TWO grandmaster traits because the typical meta before this patch was 0/0/6/4/4, now you get the grandmaster from those last 2 lines on top of the traits you already had. You aren’t gaining stat points from those, but who cares? You make stat points with your armor, I’m running cavalier armor and zerker trinkets and weapons and I can survive great, deal insane damage and have no issues.
I’d mention exactly how my interrupt Mesmer could destroy that build, but I don’t really like to argue with people that attempt to insult me with L2P comments and 1v1 threats. They’re almost never worth my time.

But go on and tell me how much my build changed for the worse lmao.. Gained 3k HP, 3% crit and about 200 power.
I think that is a bit of an exaggeration. Anyway, I’m logging in right now, I’ll set up my traits and I am sure I’ll be happy.
Also forgot to address the 2 blood lust sigils lol. That is because I have multiple ascended weapons, a stacking weapon for my GS and a non stacking weapon. Once I have full stacks, I switch to my non stacking GS that has the sigil of air and sigil of fire on it.
And the condi clense. How am I lacking condi cleanse when I am running 1 meditation that turns all of my conditions in to boons then another mediation that clears 1 condition? I generally will down anyone before I’ll need to use any of my meditations twice.
About stability with your statement: “with your only stun breaks being your opener and your big condi cleanse.” – Judges Intervention is not an opener unless you’re bad, why waste such a critical skill like that in the beginning of a fight? And since the stability changes, I’ve found stun breaks to be better roaming than stability. I don’t have to deal with too many CC’s when I am fighting in 1v1s or 1v2’s. I generally run solo or with 1-2 other people, so I don’t really have that problem. When I run bigger groups, that isn’t all I do. Trait lines aren’t the same for bigger group fights lol.

Falling damage trait is for lack of a better minor in that line, so why not? Would you recommend the trait that gives things to someone using a mace while I am not using a mace? Or would you recommend the one that gives you a bonus while reviving someone, which would be equally useless.
Keep in mind that the intothemists.com site doesn’t have the armor changes, I’ve already done the math on what my stats will be over what it says.
And I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that I won’t deal damage when I’ll have 210% crit damage, 44% crit, roughly 2800 power with bloodlust stacks. Is there something confusing about numbers to you? lol
