You already posted the ticket number for review. That is all you can do. Anet will not share information related to someone else’s account with you or others. Having friends come to the forum to vouch for others will do nothing and is against forum rules.

The files remaining to download are all different sizes so there is no way to predict if the download will speed up for you. It all depends on your connection.

If I understand you correctly, you can’t login to the game while you are downloading the game or updates. You have to wait for the download to finish.

I think there should be more specific reporting within the game. Adding a “griefing” and “inappropriate behaviour” report would make the experience so much easier and less hassle.
The verbal abuse option covers that. Even though griefing or inappropriate behavior may not always fall under verbal abuse if you report someone their behavior in game will be reviewed.
Getting the meta done is not a competition. It is something that everyone who is playing during Wintersday should be able to achieve regardless of skill.
This is not PvP. That game mode exists for a reason.
I agree. Persistence should count for something for those who can’t do certain activities or who find them unfun.
Yes we get it by now. You think people should be rewarded just for trying. How is that fair to the people that try over and over and then actually complete the activities? If everyone got rewarded for trying no one would put the effort into actually doing them.
“Hey, I tried this jump puzzle 5 times and failed. I found it to not be fun. But I tried, where is my chest?” “Hey I tried the Wintersday events but found them too hard and no fun so I just logged in during Wintersday. Where is my reward since it is holiday and we should all be rewarded?”
Rewards for everyone! It’s a holiday and none of the events are optional!

Good luck with your search. Most traders don’t just give away their secrets. It is a competitive market after all.
What Anet should do is send an in game mail warning about this. Not everyone reads the forums.

You should not have anything to worry about it if your report is sincere. Anet doesn’t suspend or ban people for reporting unless they are doing it in a was as to abuse the system or troll other players.
Don’t post a screen cap here. That is against the rules. You can send a report by contacting support following the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link. Choose “in game issue” then violation report from the drop down menu under “Specific Issue”.
I fail to see how optional tasks should be equally free of any challenge whatsoever.
According to some people Wintersday tasks are not optional because it is a holiday event.

You were talking about kids not winning at baseball IRL learning a lesson. My point is that holidays aren’t competitions, they’re just supposed to be fun. And games are supposed to be fun. So I’m not sure what holidays in games has to do with kids IRL learning a lesson.
SAB isn’t a holiday, its optional gameplay.
Just like little league baseball, when you play the game you play it for fun. I lost a lot of games when I played but I still had fun. Had I not had fun I would have stopped playing. Just because you can’t win, or finish all the events doesn’t mean you should get all the rewards just for trying. You may find the events too difficult and feel your “holiday” was ruined but many other people enjoy those difficult events.
If it isn’t fun because you can’t get all the rewards perhaps you shouldn’t play it. Just naming something a holiday event =/= get all the rewards just for trying. I guess you think because it was labeled as a holiday that all your wildest dreams must come true. Vote for Pedro.
P.S. Wintersday events like SAB are optional too.

Game play as a whole involves being able to use a keyboard and a mouse. Some events in this game do require a bit of skill or proficiency. There is nothing wrong with that. Not all events, rewards or activities are meant for everyone to face roll through.
It wasn’t necessarily the wrong section I was just pointing you and other readers to that thread. It’s good to spread the word about these bogus mails either way. 
If you have checked everywhere, all characters and your bank and can’t find them you will need to contact support to see if they will recover them for you. Follow the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link.

The launcher shows the number of files left to download not the file size left. The total download size reported by others I’ve seen post on this issue is about 19.5 gb.

Also keep in mind Anet will not tell you if someone has been suspended based on your report. Chances are they may have been given a suspension and you didn’t even know it. Just block them after you report and you don’t have to worry about them anymore.
You should remove or edit your image. Naming and shaming is against forum rules. That said, all you can do is report them in game and block them.

I seriously doubt you will be able to recover your materials as you made the choice to use them to make the gift. It isn’t like you accidentally clicked the wrong thing to do so. That said, you can try contacting support but I honestly don’t think they will be able to help you.

You are correct, your post is against forum rules. There is nothing you can do to get other players unbanned. The players in question will need to continue discussing the issue with support themselves if they wish to have the ban reversed.
Yep, that is their target time to respond within that 72 hour window. It could be sooner. I’m not sure what affect the holidays have on Anet’s support staff. They state they are staffed every day of the year. Hopefully your issue will be resolved soon.
Yep, all you can do is wait at this point. Tickets are reviewed in the order they are received.
