I don’t think you will have much luck getting your gold back. The TP was never designed as a place for extra storage and that is one of the reasons the fees are there.

Have you done world map completion? Have you done all the jumping puzzles and diving spots? Do you ever take part in the activity mini games? Have you done all the dungeons (including all paths) or are you just grinding the same few that are popular? Have you completed your personal story? One thing I like to do when bored is go to newbie zones and help people out, show them around, take them to jump puzzles and help them with skill points.

12 level 80s in 4 months (going off your post history when you introduced yourself) of playing time indicates you must play a lot unless you craft leveled them. Maybe you just need to take a break for a bit. There isn’t anything wrong with that.

No problem and for the record I’m totally against the entire forum specialist program. I’ve stated this several times but it appears it is going to happen anyway. The last thing this forum needs is a group of people running around feeling like what they say is more important because they have some special title. It will only cause a divide between regular forum members and the “special” forum members. That is why I suggest if Anet insists on going forward with this program they don’t give a special tag to their volunteers. If those that applied for the position are truly invested in helping a title should not matter to them. However, I imagine that many of the applicants volunteered specifically for the title by their name.

It is legal. You can only report them for scamming if they sell you a run and don’t deliver. You can always start your own LFG post to find players that are interested in running the dungeon the way you wish to.

Is there really any reason to make public who the forum specialist are since they mostly are there to report back to ANet? I don’t see why someone needs a tag for that. Having a tag opens up possibilities of them being constantly harassed about being white knights and ANet toadies. Imo, it would be better not to have people publicly labeled as being “semi official” when they have no official function other than collate information and report or linking official posts (which anyone can do).

I agree. A special tag will only invite hostility. If the forum specialists are doing what you want them to do, reply to posts in a helpful nature and give reports to Anet, there is no reason for them to have a special tag. Let them do what they volunteered to do, but putting a label on them will only make them a target.

I have to throw in my support for the G600. I bought one over a year ago. It was my first gaming mouse and I found it easy to get used to. The thumb button layout makes it easy to tell which buttons your thumb is on. I don’t even use my keyboard for any of my skills now. I have them all programed to the thumb buttons and weapon swap programed to the middle scroll wheel button. Once I got used to it my game play improved significantly. Also the G600 feels solid unlike other regular mice I’ve had in the past that feel like if you click too hard it will break the mouse.

Have you tried looking at your firewall settings on both your computer and your router? You might try turing them off while you try to download. Other than that, if you have tried all the stuff in the sticky threads I suggest you contact support by following the support link at the top of the page and then the submit a request link.

At one point there was a Mac support forum that recently got merged with this one. There was supposedly a Mac team that were to help with Mac problems but I have not seen them post in a long while. If and when you contact support make sure you mention that you are a Mac customer and that you have posted in the forum for assistance.

I think the OP is asking that we, as forum members try to avoid using negative labels towards others just because we don’t agree with them. There is nothing wrong with that request. There are several posters here that as soon as their post is seen in a thread people respond with “hater” or “white knight” no matter what they post. Often times people just throw the label out there without even giving feedback to the topic at hand. They just say things like, “Here is the hater/white knight.” They just see the forum posters name and toss out a label. I agree it gets out of hand at times and doesn’t lead to positive discussion.

If Billy.6666 is talking trash and giving bad pvp advice but hes a bunny then you can sort of see whats going on…If he claimed he quit the game 6 months ago or quit pvp 6 months ago then you have validation to prove that bill is just being a troll. (If you pvp even a little bit you wouldn’t be a bunny after a year and a half of the game being out, even under the old rank system) This would fall under the same thing with: Deer, Dolyak and Wolf. For the most part, if he pvpd a lot before quitting the game or pvp 6 months ago, he should have had his rank auto-adjusted to Phoenix or Dragon. Which will give his complaints a little more validation since he played the game mode but will reduce his complain a little since he has not pvpd in a while which in conjunction with your suggestion of a last login date will prove that Billy.6666 if he is a dragon is complaining for the sake of complaining.

Please forgive me because I don’t PvP myself. I tried it once, moaed and then killed someone and got cursed out for the moa. That was enough for me. I do however follow the PvP forum as I find it rather entertaining. It appears to me that the PvP forum community does a pretty good job of policing their own forum. If Joe.1234 talks a lot of garbage or gives really bad advice they are usually corrected by others rather quickly.

I just don’t feel there is a need to add, for lack of a better term, a kitten measuring contest to the forum. (Note I typed kitten and not the curse word )

By that I mean, there are a several posters I have seen here that often post how they hate the game and quit X amount of time ago. They keep making that a point whenever they post about a certain issue. Out of curiosity I followed a few of them only to see them online almost every time I am in game. For some reason they try to give their posts more weight by saying they quit when they really did not. It would instill some measure of honesty in forum posters in regards to their current experience with the game. Also, like my other example, if Bob.1234 posts, “This current living story, update, whatever, is terrible” but you see they have not logged since the update it would make it easier to see they are just bashing without having actually experienced it themselves.

I don’t see where that would equate to PvP rank necessarily given what I described.

I tend to disagree. A forum avatar is one thing. I don’t think people should be judged on the forum based on achievement points and other criteria. While I can see your intention where in it would be nice to know if Bob.1234 giving you advice on PvP has a decent PvP track record, I don’t find it necessary. Much like achievement points, there are a lot of people that don’t have a ton of achievement points but they do know a lot about the game and often give great advice/feedback. They just play less but also follow the game closely and are very knowledgeable. I think anytime you get into accomplishment measuring contests in a forum it will just lead to more toxicity.

This is the same reason I don’t support the upcoming forum specialist program. The posters I’m guessing have probably applied have a history of coming off as condescending know it alls that think they are never wrong. I think they only volunteered because if accepted it will make them feel even more important to have that special tile by their name. Let’s face it, the job itself isn’t very appealing, basically doing a bunch of work for Anet for free, but hey you get a special title.

If I were going to add one thing under a poster’s name it would be last login date. This would expose the, “I quit 6 months ago and hate this game people,” that actually still play and for those that are honest it would show this as well. Do you want to take the opinion on the current living story episode from someone that hasn’t logged in for 3 months seriously? That makes more sense to me.

They can’t even fix the search function and it seems they can’t even remove the broken search box from the forum for some reason. I don’t see the changes you suggested happening until and unless they go with new forum software.

Bought a copy and tried to register to my email, said the email was in use. Anyway got the account back. Originally I had bought the game long ago and the payment went through on my card. I was able to play for a few days and the card retracted the payment thus getting the account suspended for non pay.

Like I said that was a long time ago and I had honestly forgotten. Anyway there was a place to insert my new cd key on that account so I went ahead and did that. Tried to log in only to come up to “Account suspended” upon login. If I had known any of this was going to happen I would have just used another e-mail address and new account. I even tried making a new account but now that I added the brand new cd key to the old account I get the obvious “cd key in use” Original ticket was 6 days or so ago now.

Unfortunately people are not error free. I’m almost certain your ticket post was not ignored on purpose. You have reposted it. That is all you can do.

You just have to wait for a response. I know it isn’t optimal but there is nothing you can do since you posted in the “3 day” sticky. Making multiple posts about the issue will not accomplish anything. I noticed that you listed your ticket number again in the “3 days” and older thread. Perhaps and unfortunately it was overlooked the first time.

Edit: Sorry I may have misunderstood you. If you are talking about downloading the game client itself as in a fresh download, then yes you need to login here and select the client you wish to download PC or Mac (PC in your case):

Also, while the game or updates are downloading you cannot log into the game. You can only login after the download finishes. I only mention this because you stated that you were trying to login while trying to download.

The login for the forum is the same as for the game. If you have your password saved for the forum you can usually view it in your browser settings under saved passwords. The way to do so depends on your browser.

Everyone has the same right to voice their opinions on the forum, not just what you want to see. There is nothing wrong with having multiple posts on the same topic. Many people are not satisfied with the direction Anet is taking the game in and how they are handling things. Arguably the biggest problems that GW2 faces today are lack of content and no/poor communication from Anet regarding future content releases, thus many people will complain about it.

Anet merges and closes topics often that are on the same topic or over done. See many of the mount threads. They should merge this one as well but I think the mods are off for the night.

I’m sure all the people who have been playing since Beta and spent money in the Gem shop but aren’t able to login every day appreciate that Anet doesn’t consider them “Loyal”. I know I do.

You don’t have to log in everyday to stay on the reward schedule. It doesn’t reset if you miss a day or 3, or 5 or 10 days. Under the old system people that could not login everyday didn’t get laurels everyday either.
