You should edit your post to remove the email address for security as this is half of someone’s login information. Also it is never a good idea to post an email address on a public webpage because spammers use spiders to crawl website and gather those addresses to add to their spam list.
Support requests are handled in the order they are received so posting here asking to have his request expedited probably won’t accomplish much. If your friend submitted a support ticket and it has been over 3 days (72 hours) since he has done so you can post the ticket number for review in the “3 days & older” sticky thread.

With the megaserver system, the server you pick only really matters if you are interested in WvW. Here is the leaderboard list for WvW if that helps.

you get one every time you open the daily log in chest
Not every time each day. Here is the daily login reward chart:

Glad you found them.
Yes you should have received an auto response with a ticket number. Here is the link to the thread you could not access:
Did you check your in game mail? Gem store items are delivered via in game mail. Also make sure your in game mail isn’t full, 10 of 10 emails.
Edit: I see you edited your message. They would be in your inventory if you accepted them from the mail. You will need to contact support if you are unable to locate the item you purchased. Follow the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link.

Did you send an actual email or did you use the GW1 support and submit a ticket?
https://support.guildwars.com/anonymous_requests/new
If you used the later (which is the correct way to submit a request) you can try posting your ticket number in the “3 days & older” sticky thread.

Yes, but if you want to double check open your wardrobe on a heavy profession character and make sure they show as available. Plus deleting them would unlock them as well.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wardrobe
Skins are automatically unlocked by any action that binds the item or otherwise removes it from the economy:
- Binding: equipping or right-clicking to choose Unlock Skin. Skins that are bound-on-acquire are automatically unlocked, e.g. purchasing skins with karma or badges of honor.
- Removing from the economy: selling to a vendor, salvaging, right-clicking to choose Store in Wardrobe, deleting, or using in the Mystic Forge.
I’m neutral on the change to dailies. That said if you don’t like them vote with your actions. Just don’t do them. Anet collects data on what players are doing or are not doing. If you don’t agree with the change to dailies don’t do the daily activities. If you disagree with the change even more stop logging in. That’s the best way to vote regarding this change as opposed to posting here.
It was explained in the link I provided. Due to PvP and activities the change affected Toypocalypse, something they cannot change. Read the red posts in the link. You don’t have to like it but that is the way it is.
Again, you didn’t answer my question: What are groups of friends supposed to do for Wintersday this year?
And, furthermore, what’s wrong with the old party-ing system that still exists in the Infinirarium right now? You can’t tell me there was a fault in the party-based instancing this year because it’s working in the Infinirarium. It looks like Anet wanted to do a Hot-join-esque style PvP queue for the Toypocalypse, but ended up not fully implementing it, and now we’re stuck with a group-making system that is inferior to the previous design.
I answered your post related to Toypocalypse and why you can’t party. As far as what was wrong with the old system, I don’t know. I just know that Anet has stated that it was impossible for them to make a party system work with Toypocalypse.
Maybe you should explain what other Wintersday events you would like to do in a party.

So, this year, none of the Wintersday events, except the Infinirarium. can be done by a party of friends, so… What are we supposed to do? Repeatedly do the Infinirarium? At least the Toypocalypse was fun to do with parties last year.
For a game so built around working together with friends, this seems like a grevious oversight.
The reason you can’t Toypocalypse can’t be done in a party:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Toypocalypse-and-Parties/
There is nothing they can do to change it.
Best of luck in your recovery Sylv.
Don’t bother, the thread will be deleted in a while. Someone doesn’t want you to give feedback.
I agree though, there’s no point in not being able to enter as a party.
The answer was given here.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Toypocalypse-and-Parties/
You may not like it but an answer was provided. It was due to limitations in how PvP and activities work. It isn’t something they did to spite the players, it was an unfortunate side affect of a bigger fix. It is something Anet cannot change even if they wanted to.
It was a result of fixing other parts of the game, PvP and activities.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Toypocalypse-and-Parties/
Are you kidding me? ???Why are you making do PvP and WvW do get my dailies? Seriously, Jungle Worm is my PVE option? gzzz… At least list 3 things can be done in 1 hr in PVE.. not have me jump around
You don’t have to do PvP or WvW. Just 3 of the 4 PvE dailies. Jungle Worm was one of the 4 options in PvE.

Clearly mmo players in general like mounts (yes not the few GW purists), the genre and cash shops of other games (whole mmo genre) make this a fact.
Source for your fact please.
Can’t link other mmo sites in forums I believe, so I will let you use that handy tool Google.
So you don’t have a source for your fact. That’s what I thought.

If your friend is being harassed she needs to report the offender using the report tool in game.

The search tool is broken and has been for almost the entire history of the forum. Anet is not able to fix it.

I would give just about anything to get that Search feature working. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for us to do. Believe me, I dislike that we’re missing “search” as much as you do!
Also there are many threads that will show up as not found when you use Google because of the recent forum merger. In time Google will get the new links but Anet could help that by submitting a new sitemap to Google.

The answer is simple, report them then block them.
I play via my wifi connection and have no problems. I’ve never had problems in dungeons or during events with a lot of players. I don’t PvP though so I can’t attest to that.
Yes, that is a well known fact. It runs through a wrapper done by TransGaming.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/announcing-guild-wars-2-for-mac-beta/
To bring Guild Wars 2 to the Mac, ArenaNet worked with our partners at TransGaming, whose Cider technology allows us to mirror the game experience as closely as possible between the PC and Mac.
Apparently the target date for the fix is Tuesday

Apparently it makes it easier for Devs to find threads. One thing I noticed is that if you search Google for threads now a lot of the links go to a page not found message because they were merged into a different forum. With the forum search feature not working this can be a problem. I suppose eventually Google will update with the appropriate links but Anet could help this process by submitting a new sitemap to Google.
You will need to contact support following the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link. Choose account issue. Then under “specific issue” where it says “no selection” click it and choose as my image below shows. Also fill out the rest of the form the best you can making sure you fill out all items with an asterisk. Those are the only required fields. The things about method of payment, billing, credit card info and what not you can ignore.

Kickstarter is for games like these (the game looks like it has the potential to be pretty good by the way):
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/therepopulation/the-repopulation-a-sandbox-mmorpg
Not a company that makes millions of dollars a month. If you want to give money to Anet/NCSoft, buy gems. If they don’t have gem store items you want you can convert the gems to gold.
Your friend should contact support following the support link at the top of the page, then the submit a request link.

It got buried in the forum merger:

So there you go – archived forums are now read-only. Really Anet, what’s the point?!
Archived forums have always been read only. There wouldn’t be much point to archiving them if they were not.
I see some of the Stickies are working now. Thanks for the quick attention paid to the issue. =)
You might consider placing [MAC] in the titles of those Stickies that reference Mac issues.
This sticky is still busted: Update Notes: Guild Wars 2 Mac Beta Client
Not to mention that almost half the page in this forum is sticky threads. That means all regular threads are forced off the front page even faster. I do not support this merger due to this.

Official answer? I don’t see the value of that unless we had the post stickied (see above) or if we had a working #%^&#^ search engine.
Since we don’t have a functional search engine, an official post would just slide onto Pg 3 or Pg 4 and we’d see another “Hey, let’s have mounts!” thread.
Perhaps more importantly, I don’t believe there is an official answer on the subject, although sure, I’ll ask about it and see if there’s a way to take advantage of any info on the subject that may be available.
If Anet stated, “Yes we are looking into mount options,” or “No we are not considering adding mounts at this time,” it would indeed give people something to quote and link when the countless mount threads get posted and thus ending those threads thanks to an official answer. So I do see value in an official answer.
The busted search function is not a good excuse for not getting answers to commonly posted threads. Just sayin’
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
If you disagree you will need to contact support. Follow the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link.
If you have something new to say on the subject, you can add it here. But honestly, the subject may have been exhausted, so if you’re tempted to post, please choose wisely.
It is more than exhausted. That poor horse has been beaten into ground horse meat, bashed into the dirt, and beaten even more. You should consider just making this thread a sticky and closing it to further posts since it is doubtful anything new will be brought up. However, it probably isn’t very practical to have a bunch of sticky threads for beat to death topics.
You could of course give a response from Anet as to their position on the future of mounts and end all the arguing once and for all. That is the most optimal choice in my opinion.
(edited by JustTrogdor.7892)
People blocked by 1,329,343 others probably don’t care how many people have them blocked.
Good point FF. I fear your post is falling on deaf ears though. Mac users are going to be left out with no knowledge base to reference.
nothing really stops you from reminding the support & forum specialists about mac issues, just bump (each others) threads and get put a [MAC Beta] tag in front of the thread title.
The problem is that tech support forum moves rather fast and once combined with account issues it will move even faster. It will be hard to locate Mac threads. Also will new Mac customers know to post [Mac Beta] tag in their thread title? I doubt it.
The reality is Mac threads are going to get buried and lost. Even if there are still actual Anet Mac staff looking for threads, which it seems there isn’t these days, they will have a harder time finding them.
We never got much in the way of support from Anet here anyway aside from when there were Mac specific gem store bugs, so I guess in the big picture it is no big deal. It just means it will be harder for fellow Mac users to locate Mac related threads in an effort to help each other out.
Since we don’t have a functional search engine, an official post would just slide onto Pg 3 or Pg 4 and we’d see another “Hey, let’s have mounts!” thread.
