Yep it looks like it wasn’t intended to work that way.
Fixed an issue in which players who paid to safely enter a bandit camp in the Silverwastes were attackable by normal players.

Then you have nothing to worry about. Ignore or block them and go about your business.
People can report you all day but as long as you didn’t violate the ToS it doesn’t matter and nothing will happen. However, people that place false reports place themselves in jeopardy of getting suspended/banned themselves.

Submitting multiple tickets actually slows response time. You should close the second ticket. If it has been more than 3 days (72 hours) the original ticket number should be posted in the “3 Days & older” sticky thread for review. Also if you didn’t get the auto response email after you submitted the ticket you should check your spam folders.
They used to be soulbound. People complained and Anet made them account bound. I think that was their compromise. I doubt they will make them account wide unless they raise the price significantly. I don’t think they will do that either though.
You can buy the digital download and send them the unused serial number you receive. Just make sure you don’t register it and make an account, let them do that. Then all they have to do is register and download the game.

Anet won’t communicate information related to your friend’s account with you. However you can post your friend’s ticket number in the “3 Days or older” sticky thread if you would like them to look into the delay. If your friend didn’t get the auto response email after the ticket was submitted they should check their spam folders.
You’ll have to wait to hear back from support.
I don’t really know any of the story/lore behind GW2. I have never even completed a personal story and when I do play it I zone out during cut scenes and dialog. I don’t read any of the in game dialog either. I just go to the next designated area, kill what needs to be killed and move on. I know nothing about the characters in the living story because I do the same thing and just click past all the dialog or zone out during the long NPC conversations that can’t be skipped.

Then you should change your password right away as well as making sure your email account is secured. You may want to contact support and tell them what happened as well just to be safe.

Its a phishing email, delete it. Don’t follow the links. If you did you should change your password. Anet doesn’t send emails informing people of account closures.
The window for a support response is three days (72 hours). If you don’t hear back by then you can post in the appropriate sticky thread above, Tickets for Review 3 Days or Older. She should have already gotten the auto response email, if not check the spam folders and such.
Halloween ends when the living story continues November 4th.

With the way megaservers are set up now you can hang out with any guild from any sever as long as you are in the same region meaning NA or EU. The only place you can’t hang out with people from a different server is WvW.
If you were hacked Anet will roll back your account once it is recovered. You will have to wait to hear from support.

You are not getting it. It isn’t GW2 causing your problem. It is some adware on your computer. If it were GW2 that was popping up adverts for dating sites and other things this forum would be on fire with complaints. Oh, and stop using IE, use Firefox or Chrome.

Age has nothing to do with it. Your computer can be a few minutes old and get infected with adware and such. It sounds like you have a case of it.

I think the posters some are thinking about are the ones that say stuff like ,“I quit X time ago” every chance they get and don’t leave any constructive feedback. There are several of these posters that do this habitually as if they think they are going to convince other players to quit. A few of those people that constantly talk about how they had quit are not being very honest either. I learned to pretty much ignore those people at this point but it does get a bit obnoxious at times.
There is a difference between posting, “I quit 6 months ago but I wish Anet would do X,Y,Z and I might consider coming back” and “I quit 6 months ago, uninstalled the game, Anet is terrible and the game is dying.” With the later posting the same general message every chance they get.
Continued negativity even after Gaile’s last few statements is depressing to me. Meh.

I agree. I think she should repost the announcement of the change one more time for visibility then close the thread. The change back is in the works and there isn’t much more to be said in this thread.
I don’t think the NA and EU TP/economy are separate.
Some of the people that constantly post here how they quit the game X amount of time ago are lairs. I know because there are a couple of people here that state this all the time and I added them to my friend list out of curiosity. Guess what, they seem to be online an awful lot for having quit and uninstalled.

You can’t transmute an ascended weapon into a legendary. You can put a legendary skin on an ascended weapon but that doesn’t make it a legendary. It is still an ascended weapon with just legendary appearance.
