Does it at least play okay, or should I stick with WoW until a true native release is out for GW2?
It seems to depend on your Mac from what I have seen. It plays well on my 2012 iMac but I’ve seen others in the Mac forums have various problems. I would not hold my breath for a native Mac client. We just got another Mac specialist in the Mac forum the other day, 1 person, the others have come and gone. That should tell you something as to the future of lack there of of a native client. Best just load up the game and give it a try.
To answer your other questions the world appears more populated now due to Mega servers. So you will usually see many people in most places. With that, yes there are a lot of good guilds out there. I suggest you ignore the ones that constantly spam chat though, they just want numbers for guild influence.
If they did that people would still flock here and find a reason to complain about it. I can see it now, “3000 gems, meh… Anet is greedy and just trying to get people addicted to the gem store!”
Yes, if you delete all your characters you can transfer for free. Make sure you put everything in your bank first. All items in your bank and wallet will transfer with you. If you have a personal guild bank you will want to withdraw everything in your guild bank as you will no longer be able to access it once you transfer.

The no sharing of accounts is there for your own protection as well as for other reasons such as people selling their accounts. I bet your wife would not purposely manipulate your account in a negative way. However, these rules are in place to cover all situations where sharing an account could cause harm. It is there to protect the account owner in all situations. I have seen posts here where someone shared an account with a sibling and that sibling deleted things and caused damage to the account owner. They then posted here wanting their items back. That is just one example out of many. There is no reason to be so dramatic about the issue. Rules are there and clearly stated, and rules are rules.

Reguarding email security, it is always good practice to be cautious about emails and links. If you aren’t sure about an email or link, you can always inspect the links that are embeded before clicking them.
That being said, there is nothing wrong on a refresher for base game mechanics!

They have almost no support for their Mac beta client/ wrapper that has been out for a year and a half unless the gem store breaks then they fix it. I wouldn’t expect a console client anytime soon and even then if it is released I hope it is treated better than the Mac client.

We are waiting to hear from that Mac specialist that supposedly came on board a month ago. I think Danicia and Gaile are out of the picture at this point.
ESO is out for PS4 and X1 and we saw how that worked out. I tried ESO on my computer and it felt like a game made for consoles. That is one reason why I got a full refund.
Precursor does = rage when trying for a legendary. Fortunately I don’t care for those ugly weapons so when I get a precursor drop I just sell it. I’ve only had 2 so far drop from PvE but I don’t pay money for gems anymore.
Spam filter is a bit harsh. I accidentally linked a WP 3 times in a row the other day because my finger was on the wrong key. I ended up suppressed from saying anything for as long as I was in that map.
Some people just like fun or goofy names. For example I am no good at playing Guardian so he is named Mr. Dies A Lot. I don’t get a lot of love when I PUG dungeons. LOL
There should be a way to truly hide from everyone when you login. I have a lot of people that friend me and sometimes I just want to do my own thing and not talk to them.

To be fair foxx, their presence isn’t really required at the moment as there aren’t any new issues with the mac wrapper and they don’t seem to be allowed to talk about a real Mac client.

I guess you missed his screenshots with nearly 1k gold & thousands of tokens, try reading the whole topic before you reply.
So, the study done by the admin of gw2trading was super good, shme you are only a newcomer to the economic qestions and didn’ have the opportunity to read it.
1K gold is zilsch IMO. I make that in a month of dungeon running. Add basic TP activities and I’m at 4-5K gold a month.

Again u fail to understand that out of 1K u gain from dungeon ur not really pumping additional gold from tp activities since it has to come out of someone elses pocket. Tp activity actually benefit the ecnomy by remove some currency from circulation.

Without enough coming in though prices would just go down and down. The idea is to keep things stable, not to make them plummet or to make them shoot up.
I think they’ve done a far better job in this game than they have in any game i’ve played in the past /shrug.
This is why I suggest replacing gold with mats. Improve dungeon mobs drop like having chances of dropping T6, small amount og currency like couple of copper to a silver. Dungeon boss will have better chance at dropping rare, exo, while end boss have chances of dropping unique loot.
Remember how Fractal was b4 they nerf the mob drop to oblivion. remember how they would have high chances of dropping exo, and even tho fractal wasn’t rewarding ppl still do them for the skin.
That’s exactly it though, that’d reverse the situation, so instead of a slow crawl upwards, it’d be a pretty decent shot downwards.
If you’re right in that there are thousands of gold flooding the market daily, then cutting off that stream would have pretty major implications to the economy wouldn’kitten Why is a big shot down better than a slow trickle upwards?
Question the amount, ask that maybe it be dropped from 1g to 80silver and inject some more mats into the rewards would be a reasonable request I think as in the time I’ve been playing there has been a decent trickle upwards in the costs. But asking that it be cut down to a couple silver… that’s dangerous.
My suggestion is up to the players, the more mobs they kill the currency they would make per run.
So your problem is not the money but that people speed run?

If SAB is the most important thing in GW2 for you then I hate to say it, but this game isn’t for you. Perhaps search eBay and buy yourself and old NES and some games. SAB is fun and all but it isn’t really much of GW2 itself but a side game.
It’s not that SAB is the most important thing for me. It’s more it’s the best content Guild Wars 2 has ever had.
Again, perhaps you are playing the wrong game then. SAB is a modern version of old platform games. There are plenty of those still around. Don’t get me wrong, SAB is fun and all but I always viewed it as a side game to take a break from my normal GW2 play. If SAB is what it would take to get you to play again then I think GW2 as a whole is disappointing to you and that is fine. This game isn’t for everyone. Plus, I’m pretty sure SAB will come back at some point given the way it was set up last time.

I’ve seen a lot of posts asking for nerfs but this one cracks me up. That said, asking to nerf reward systems is a slippery slope. Be careful what you ask for.

I agree it should reward a title. There is a title for basically rezing a bunch of NPCs which is easy, but no title for doing all JPs which is much more difficult.
When transferring worlds is map progression lost, or anything else for that mather.
All map progress, achievements, everything in your bank and wallet will go with you. If you have a personal guild bank however, it will remain in your old home world so empty it first.

Any update on the new Mac specialist? It’s been a month your post so I’m just curious when we can expect some support around here.
Most password recovery systems only require an email address and send an email to the account for verification. The fact that no info is provided at all in regards to why they won’t help him access his account also slows ticket response time in terms of resolving the issue.
Im sure there are many people who don’t bother to write down their account information because they think they will remember it. And personally, I have never kept serial numbers. There should be protocol for these type of situations.
I gave you solid advice. Take it as you will. If your boyfriend wants his account back he will need to respond to the email he received from support and ask them what information they require to recover his account. If he can provide that information then he should be able to get his account back. If can’t well chalk it up to security. There have been a lot of accounts getting hacked over the last few months. Security is essential to avoid such things.
