I don’t believe it is possible to do what your are requesting. At this time the only way to upgrade an existing account is through the gem store.

You will need to contact support following the support link at the top of the page then the submit a request link. They should be able to help you with your issue.

If you don’t want the second account you could contact support (which I see you have already done) and request a refund. Do not do a charge back though, wait to talk to support so they can assist you. If you do a charge back your accounts could be permanently banned.

However, for such a decent price for a full new Digital Deluxe account I might consider just keeping it and using it as a second account for storage or what not if I were you.

You did not buy an account upgrade. You bought a second account that was the Digital Deluxe version. You can’t use a new account to upgrade an existing account. The only way to upgrade an existing account to the Digital Deluxe is to buy the account upgrade through the gem store. It currently costs 2,000 gems.

The part about linking it to an existing account is referencing linking your Guild Wars 1 account.

You can’t add another heroic code to an existing account. You also can’t buy the Deluxe Edition and use it to upgrade and existing account. The only way to upgrade an account is through the gem store upgrade I mentioned. Perhaps character slots will go on sale again before the expansion hits. I hope your kids enjoy the game.

The upgrade is for upgrading from the base version (Heroic Edition) to the Digital Deluxe version. It does not come with extra character slots. If you look here you will see what comes with the upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version.

When you sell/buy an item, you are looking for a group to talk about selling/buying item.

Also, I still think there should be a clearer message on what is condoned. Especially with an influx of new players completely new to mmos. If they seen stuff like that etc. I would think they wouldn’t question if it was wrong to buy or sell on lfg.

No. Give it up. You learned your lesson, don’t use the LFG tool to sell items. It is that simple. There doesn’t need to be a clearer message. It is common sense. The LFG tool is for finding a group of players to join you as a group in game play. It isn’t to sell items or discuss the sale of items. It really is just that simple.

People that are selling dungeon runs are inviting people to their group to do so. Thus looking for a group of players willing to join and pay for the run. They are not using the LFG tool as a grey market.

How in the world would you think a looking for group tool was okay for selling items? Oh, because you saw others doing it. LOL The very nature of the LFG should have told you enough that you should not be using it as means for trading. It isn’t called Looking For Group and Trades. I will report them every time I see them without warning. It’s called using common sense and if people can’t do so, then they get reported.

No they do not, they are just skins. The same skins you can buy in the gem store.

The response time goal is 3 days (72 hours) in some cases like due to heavy support requests it can take longer. If your friend has not received a response by then they can post in the “3 Day & older” sticky thread with their ticket number, or in your case you can post the ticket number there for them since your friend may not have forum access.

That has been going on for a while. Just report them for LFG abuse.

They will only roll back your account. If your guild bank gets looted by the hacker you are out of luck. Anet does not get involved in guild issues even if it is personal guild.

If you enjoy the game enough that it is worth $2350 then sure, I guess it is worth it. Chances are you will get more value out of your new computer as a whole if you do more than play GW2. Plus it depends on what you bought for that price. It could be a pile of junk you got ripped off on.

We don’t even know when the expansion is coming out. You may not see it until your next birthday.

If they can login to the my account page I don’t see why they would not be able to login to the game as the credentials are the same. Your gift recipient will need to contact support by following the support link at the the top of the page then the submit a request link.

If you bought the game for someone else they will need to register the game using the serial code provided. If you already did that for them, as you suggested, their login information is the email that it was registered with and the password selected.

As an employee I hope you already have access to the alpha/beta and can play it before it is released. At least that is how it should work. It would make sense for as many Anet personnel as possible to play it before it is released.

Yeah let’s just hope Anet has prepared for this and is working with their cider port provider TransGaming. I don’t want it to be like the time the feature pack came out and Mac customers could not use the trading post for weeks until the TG update.

There are a few drop down options when you submit a ticket that are not very obvious but you need to use to complete the request. It is one thing I find lacking during the support request process. . Make sure you select each of them.

Yes. The version of Digital Deluxe game is what you already received when you purchased it. If you wish to get the bonuses for the current Digital Deluxe version you will need to purchase it and start a new account.

Given what they disclosed at PAX so far I probably will not. Here is why:

• A new region. It seems fun but I’ll probably go through it in a month or so. I can’t see paying X$ for it.
• I don’t trust how the new mastery system will play out. I fear it will be just as bad as the current trait system.
• A new profession. That seems cool but I doubt it will keep my interest for long. Everyone will be playing it after the expansion comes out.
• New PvP mode. I hate PvP and that does not interest me.
• New WvW dynamics. See PvP above.
• Guild halls. I don’t care about guilds.
• Guild leader boards. See above. Plus the current leader boards are already a joke.

There just isn’t enough information on how the expansion will impact the core game at this time.

Not really.

Because the sale is for the game purchase, not for the upgrade.

You can buy the digital download and send them the unused serial number you receive. Just make sure you don’t register it and make an account, let them do that. Then all they have to do is register and download the game.

Going to be skins? You mean like the wing skins we already have? No they are going to be like mounts (a skill / item you use to fly) but they are very likely going to have different skins for them. That just makes scene don’t you think?

No. If you watched the PAX feed it was described a new ability that can be unlocked in the new region through the new mastery character progression system. It was mentioned that ability will allow a player glide between places in the new region without falling to their death. They never said a thing about it being a cosmetic item or a skin. The only thing that we saw was the trailer where people have wings when gliding. That doesn’t mean by any means it is a mount type system but more of a visual effect that happens when someone uses that ability. When my Mesmer uses skill 1 it creates a visual effect. That doesn’t make it a skin.

I think some of you are reading too much into the whole glider ability.

No, no level cap increase or gear increase. It was one of the first things they announced after announcing the expansion.

They didn’t talk about that. However they did mention several times that it is important for GW2 to be a living world. My guess is, no it will not be the end of living world updates. It might delay them for some time once the expansion comes out but I think they will keep it going.

No, all you have to do is launch the game and log in with your new account information. Your new account name is the email address you registered for your new account and the password you set.

Yes, the sale is on the game itself, whether you buy the Heroic or Digital Deluxe. It isn’t a sale on account upgrades.

None that were disclosed during the presentation. It looks like some professions will be able to use other weapons previously unavailable. They gave the example of Necro being able to use a great sword. Keep in mind that the presenters mentioned several times that more will be disclosed about the expansion between now and release.

And I’m just passing along that I hope Anet is already working with TransGaming (the company that does the cider port) so that it is a seamless transition once the Xpac comes out. We have seen problems in the past during some of the feature packs that caused problems for Mac users until there was a TransGaming update. So please pass that along to your Mac team so we can avoid such an issue. I’d hate for it to be an oversight.

If isn’t available for Mac that will be a major bummer. I’m guessing it will be since the Mac client is just a cider port. Hopefully Anet is already working with Transgaming on this.

Just saw this in the post interview with Mike and Colin. They just announced it as the first playable demo.

Well to be fair they said there is a lot of more information coming up about HoT that will be discussed between now and when the expansion drops. My take on the presentation is that they only hit on the major new changes. Who knows what will be expanded on (pun intended) between now and when the X-pac goes live. Heck, we don’t even know when it is going live.
