Guild Wars 2

I have a level 40 Mesmer that I want to craft to level 80 so I can start getting some of the better dungeons and gear.

I’ve maxed cooking.

Right now I have 20 gold, so I think I only need about 6-7 more.

But I have no clue how to get it really. I got two holographic wing drops one time so that’s basically where my money came from…

Are there any general places to make some money ?

This is my first playthrough of the game and I enjoy the mesmer or Ele.
Ele is also getting some really nice changes in the next few days

I’m fairly new to the game and am just now able to do the ASC Dungeon.
I was wondering what the most effective way to find a dungeon group is? I’ve tried typing on the map chat but no one replies. And I posted asking for advice on the Dungeon forum but the people were sort of rude…
I really want to try out a dungeon for the first time

Sorry for not knowing what they were.. I got this game 5 days ago.

I just hit level 35 which means I am able to do some dungeon called ASC.
I have absolutely no clue what it is, or what to do.
I was wondering if any groups would be willing to show me what it is and let me tag along to see whakittens like?

What is a good set of armor for my level 30 Mesmer? (Note: I die A LOT. So maybe something that will help me stay alive longer? )

Okay, so I absolutely suck with fighting apparently because I cannot kill the Avatar of Baltzhar on my Mesmer Charr. I just started this game a few days ago, but the storyline is always VERY hard for me…
I’m not sure what I am doing wrong.

Im using a level 28 (Downranked) Mesmer.
I had Decoy, Mirror Images, and Defender for uti.
Using GS, sword/focus

But I always die in like 4 hits :/

Can anyone try to help explain if I may be doing something wrong.

I’ve heard and seen so many guides saying that d/d is one of the most useful setups. I’ve been playing it since I joined a few days ago, and it’s okay. I feel like the staff has better spells and has a lot more range… Just wondering why d/d is considered amazing?

Looking for a friendly WvWvW Guild on the Gates of Madness server.
I just started playing a few days ago, but have been playing WvWvW for a little bit, so I understand some parts.

I’m hoping a guild can help teach me the ropes and allow me to become a better player.

Okay, this will seem dumb, but while playing WvW, if I am standing on top of our catle, i can only cast spells directly below me on the ground outside of the castle.. It’s not even make 2 feet from me.

I just played a game and the opposite team had the same spell I was using, but they were on the castle and shooting it over a huge gap and over a bridge. (A very long way away)

Im just curious, is this something unlocked when you are a higher level?
I don’t know if I am doing something wrong.

Note: I am not level 80 yet.
My main account is a level 20 Ele, and my second is a level 8 Mesmer. But I’ve only had this game for 3 days, so I’m doing pretty well imo. :p

Anyway, I am hoping to join a WvW guild that is patient and willing to help me learn how to play the game efficiently and maybe even setup my character.

My homeworld is Gates of Madness.

I’m level 16 right now so I have a few decent abilities (I know I need better levels to use stronger weapons and Elite/etc).

But I for some reason cannot grasp the concept of WvW…
Everytime I log in, it saw I have 7 Waypoints, but I usually only see two that I can use.

My main question I have though, well two things are:
1)Do we basically just follow the blue leader? Other than that, I have absolutely no clue where to go or what to do.

2)Are there fast ways to get to places that I don’t know about? Usually if I die, it takes me a *really long time to get back or even near the group because it is over a whole map. I feel like other people are getting back faster than I do..

I’m mainly wanting to play WvW as a way to level up while having fun. Because the storyline has huge gaps in the level required for each mission, so I want to do WvW to fill the gaps and help with my monthly task.
Is this a bad idea? I’m not sure exactly how to get a lot of exp in WvW..

(Summed up, I’m basically a complete newb who would love some help lol)

I’m new to GW2.
I have a level 8 Mesmer Asura.

I’ve only gotten around 50 coins after coming this far and selling all my junk. Am I doing something wrong? It seems like I can’t get any coins really to buy the weapons and armor that I want…

(Note: My laptop also has the numbers above the normal letters and under the F keys.)

I use Mesmer, new player, level 6.
I have laptop with NUM keys and a normal mouse.

Right now, I have it set to basically walk with WASD,

Turn the camera with the right arrow, and enter button on the NUM pad.

Then use my num pad for abilities.

(Basically I don’t use my mouse at all.)

BUT I just unlocked the Blink ability, requiring me to use my mouse. And I don’t understand how to do this fast if I’m in a big fight…
I feel overwhelmed with the need to have 2 hands on the keyboard AND use the mouse at the same time… (I don’t have 3 hands lol).

Does anyone know of a pretty good setup, or maybe especially for a mesmer with blink?

I just bought this game yesterday, and like it so far. (Even though I tend to die a lot as a Mesmer).

But anyway, I am wondering how I can find new weapons like a staff? I’m level 6 right now and still don’t have any weapon, so I’m not sure if that is causing me to hit lower.
But I have absolutely NO clue how to find a staff or make one, or where.

Could someone please help a noob out??
