In videos, I’ve seen like Lavra said, where they place the portal, and then they Start hte stomp and port AT the SAME time… I’ve been able to do it SOME now, but not like that..

I’ve had to place the portal, start the stomp about a sec later, then take the portal. I can’t get it to do both actions with just pressing F once… Idk what I am doing wrong.

Would anyone be able to meet me in SPvP and try to help show me how to portal stomp? I’ve seen the two youtube vids that show it… But i cannot get it to work. I dont know if im placing the portal too close, doin it too soon, or what

I really want to learn how to do it and would appreciate it so much if someone could portal stomp me as well so i can see how its done up close and let me try also.

Hey guys!! So I’m hoping there are some other people out there who have also used Osicat’s Non-shatter condi build. I personally love it so far, but I’ve ran into people who say they used to run that build and could get up to 15-20 stacks of confusion on an enemy, but I cant figure out how or if they were just exaggerating…

I typically get confusion from scepter 3, then use torch 5. That’s about all there is for confusion besides shattering.. So i get maybe 3-7 stacks and only for a few seconds…

I’m running perplexity runes like his build suggest.. I have everything except the trinkets…

I have been trying to use it in WvW and it summons him, but he doesn’t do anything.. Just sort of stands there..

But I’ve tried it in PvP and when you summon, he leaps to the enemy and attacks them..

I have seen guides that have tough, power, crit,

But all i can find are cavaliers which is power, tough, crit (Different order means different amount of stats)…

Does anyone know how i can get TPC trinkets?

Where can I find the patch notes about these changes to the classes? I can *never seem to find them. :/

Hiya fellow GW2 friends!!
I have been trying out my ele with d/d lately and cannot seem to do a whole lot of damage initially.. I use a mixture if PPC and PVT armor.

But anyway, I’m hoping to try this “Fresh air” build with a S/D but can’t really find a guide when I google.. Would anyone happen to know:
1)Is d/d better than s/d for roaming *typically (and maybe i just really suck at it)
2)Where I could find a recent or good guide?

Is there an upgrade component that uses Power, Toughness, and Crit Damage?

I have looked but am not too sure.. I’m using Exotic cavalier trinkets and am trying to find an upgrade to match those stats to use.

I’ve seen a guide that uses tough, power, and crit trinkets but the guides don’t specifically name the items. I’ve done some research and I THINK what I’m looking for is Cavalier’s trinkets from the Exotic Karma vendors? (Don’t have enough laurels for ASC).

But my other question is, are there any other ways to get those stats without karma of laurels (slacking in both).
Like, from the TP? There doesn’t seem to be any high level cavalier items really..

I really don’t enjoy the huge zerg battles too much, where you sometimes can’t even use your abilities due to lag, so I would love to find a guild that *typically runs in small groups that roam around. That is more of my playstyle, as I feel it helps you grow as a skilled player instead of spamming 1 in zerg fights.

If it is important, I currently have 3 level 80’s:
Zerker Phantasm mesmer (Dishes out major damage)
Ele (Have full staff/heal build & a different d/d build)
Thief (Testing out s/p backstab)

I’m currently on JQ so I am fairly experienced with some tough fights. But I can transfer if it is needed. I’m just looking for something a little more fun than what I’m doing at the moment.

Hi, I’ve been running staff ele water heal build in WvW for a little bit now and am comfortable with that. So I figured I could do some PvP with d/d and learn how to use it well and transfer those skills to WvW in small roaming groups.

But right now I am currently getting DESTROYED in PvP with a d/d build. I have tried the typical 30 water 30 arcane. And even have runes of Melandru for extra defence and condition break. But I still can’t last long in even a 1v1 on PvP. I jsut fought a necro and it completely demolished me…

Are there any good guides or tips people could give and or show my things in game? Or have vids? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong..

I’ve fought d/d eles on my Mesmer that have completely wrecked me.. So I know it is possible to be good with them.. I am just at a loss

The class cannot stealth or port like a thief. It cannot offer anywhere near the utility of shadowtrap or shadowrefugee and play the mind games a thief does.
It cannot offer party wide effects such as quickness,stability

Duh? I mean, lets “pretend” a pistol and shortbow don’t exist. Then you take away a lot of a thief’s executions for combo fields as well. You can’t judge an entire class by “pretending” a weapon isn’t there. I get that you’re saying the staff is the only important weapon, which is true in group play. But I know people that play with s/d or even d/d like myself sometimes and it is still a very fun class.

It just depends on playstyle. Though, even with a d/d build, we almost have to have 30 in water and arcane still. Our trait lines are messed up.

Would anyone from SoR or BG feel up to doing a few 1v1 fights with me later? I’m just wanting to learn and get better with a new build I made and you lose so many trinkets and such in sPvP so it’s not really viable there.

I just created a new build and want to test it to see if it’s what I should use. sPvP isn’t really a good option to test because you lose tons of trinkets and stuff there.

build with mostly PTV armor. They do decent damage and have good HP amounts so is this just what everyone runs now? I’m new to ele so I’m not sure if it is better than having a full zerk and power ele that can possible go down fast..

I’ve been working on my staff ele for WvW heals with a guild group and have it fully geared with PTV and clerics.

Hi everyone! I’ve just recently made an ele and geared it. I chose some nice looking armor but now realize that it’s pretty bland and would love suggestions or models for ele.

I’m basically going to a blue/good theme.

I’m thinking of at least changing the shoulders to Human T3.

Where do I go to submit a ticket for something in-game?
I didn’t get my monthly chest even though I got the achievement. I’ve tried logging out and back in. Someone told me to send in a ticket somehow.

This is sort of a dumb question, but I was wondering.. I’m an ele so we dont get a second weapon set to swap to in battle. If i put a different type of sigil on my water weapon, will it’s effect only work if im in water battles, or does it apply full time (for example if I have Sigil of Endurance on my staff, If i placed a sigil of water on my underwater weapon (30% chance to heal allies on crit), would that be a permanent effect on me as long as i have that weapon? Even if im fighting on land with my staff?

Does anyone know if a PVT Aqua breather exist for the LIGHT class?

I went to Gavebeorn to get on, but :
1)It’s not fully PVT
2)The only PVT is Heavy class

I found another person who sell some, but it’s not level 80 like the heavy class…

Are either of those vendors available on any US Servers? My home server hasn’t really been very active in that department since champs came out. I’m dying too buy my exotic gear for my newest character.

I’m trying to get PVT gear through dungeons since it’s impossible to buy it with karma at the temples because everyone in that zone is champ farming.

So I’m having to take the slightly slower route to get my armor.

Anyway, I always ran CoF because I needed Zerk gear on my other toon, but now that I need PVT, I’m not sure which dungeon is faster to farm for it.

I know that ASC and HoTW both offer PVT gear, but what I’m mainly asking is which of these (Or if there is another) would be my best option for the fastest runs?

Hi, we literally have like 6 people trying to finish the pre baltzhar events on Jade Quarry (Since most people are farming the champs or in the pavillion farming, we have no support and no chance.)

Are there any other servers that still have very active event communites that we could guest on? Or if you want, you can guest here.

I just got 80 and am gearing up my Staff Ele for support in WvW.

I looked on the TP and the only PVT staff i see is 25 gold O_O
Are there any others that I’m just missing? It was something like pearl staff

Or should I just go with something else like V/Healing/ and a random trait?

I personally love the GS. I use GS + s/f for anything I do.
My GS dishes out a lot more damage than any other setup I’ve tried. With cof1 for example, when we kill those tribute things (and you run down, then back up and repeat)
I press 2, 4 shatter. Boom, dead. But my build is pure berserker on phantasms. Deals massive damage compared to other builds I’ve tried. Number 1 attack hits 2k at the moment.

I’ve hit level 14 on the FOTM and still just don’t see any real point to keep grinding it.. Especially to the level 80 Fractals. Is there something that happens afterwards or something?
Right now it just seems to be the same thing over and over again.. 3 Dungeons and the Jade Maw. The only rewards I am even interested in are the ascended rings bc it’s cheaper than laurel.

Are fractals worth doing? I’m still fairly new to GW2 so I have no clue really..

Oh, just wanted to add in, that while we ARE a WvW Guild, we still do other things as well.
Many people participate in PvP, Dungeon runs, Fractals, and World Bosses like the Shatterer and Shadow Behemoth. Personally, I am usually online during the day running those things to gain better gear for WvW, and then at night I join in on WvW to help the Guild out.

[DA] Decisive Actions is currently looking for players interested in organized WvW. We’d like players that are active and know how to work together as a team with a decent amount of experience in WvW. We run a really tight group and have a nice core group of players, but our active roster isn’t that large. It is not mandatory to attend all WvW events, but you should be active enough even for just an hour or two. We simply want players who are active that intend to give 100% out there during whatever amount of time they play for.
What We Ask Of You
Use TS3! Mic is not required, but it will really help if you have one to use. We do require that you be logged in and listening to the leader.
We have some specific builds / gear we run for optimal group synergy. We need your build to help the team, not a single roamer. If you need help with a build, ask! We’re more than happy to get you geared up and on you way to wins!
When running in our WvW nights, you must play on your main. It’s not that we hate your alts, but we do need to have a general idea of our group makeup each time we run. When it’s not an event night, feel free to run alts/lowbies!
You must rep DA while in WvW. We do not, however, care if you rep us outside of WvW. Obviously we want you to so you can join in on the fun, but we understand people have multiple guilds for various reasons. We simply need to be your core WvW guild!
Be respectful to fellow guild mates, server mates, and enemies alike. Don’t dance on bodies and laugh if we win. Don’t yell at members when we lose. It’s easy to get caught up in the game, but don’t let that lead to bad attitudes. We want to play seriously while still having fun!

Well here is to hoping this week goes by fast, gonna keep out of WvW for the most part. I don’t mind losing to skill, but losing to numbers is just boring and I would rather PVE and gather monies for next weeks match.

If everyone on a server thinks like that, then that would be WHY a server could lose to sheer numbers.
Every person helps man. We went against BG and SoR for a long time and kept pushing no matter what even though we knew we could get trampled from numbers.

But how you play is up to you. Just saying, don’t give up hope

Ive heard people mention SEA a lot on this matchup. What does that mean exactly in regards to WvW?

South East Asia – JQ has the largest WvW player-base from that region of any Server.

Since WvW is fought 24/7 having players from all regions of the world can have a big impact on how well a Server does during the week.

TC and FA have some but not near JQ’s numbers. We’ll keep coming out and fighting all week but expect to see huge PPT/Point-swings between different times of the day.

I’ve been using a mesmer since I joined last month. I’ve typically been running defensive type builds but now I just want to dish out absolute damage. If anyone knows a very strong build that deals damage hard and fast to wipe the opponent, that would be great

I’ll link my current build.
And for armor and stuff, I’ll have to use my CoF armor for power because I can’t really afford new armor and weapons. I’m mainly just trying to focus on the actual build/trait line.

Favorite weapon set is gs +s/f
Focus on Phatasms for damage mainly.

I think FA and TC should call truce and focus on JQ, and before people cry about how unfair this would be..so is the population difference between JQ and the other 2. It would meerly just even out stuff

I’ve heard that there are 1shot thieves out there that can deal some massive damage against other players.
I am really wanting to test out a build like that.

I typically only hit 4k or so with my backstabs and by the time I attack and restealth, they’ve healed or reinforcements have joined them.

I’m new with using a thief sort of, but I got it to level 80 for WvW roaming and PvP.
Right now, I mainly just use d/d and bow.

My stealth options are:
d/d #5
Healing stealth
Shadow Refuge

So for a thief who wants to stay hidden, that doesnt seem like a lot of stealth. I’ve fought other thieves who stay hidden way longer than myself…

Does anyone know a pretty nice setup to give me more stealth options?
(Because I’m not that great with them yet so I rely on stealth to escape a good bit or disengage to regen health.)

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I’m a player on JQ and am trying to make my thief my main, so I thought it would be cool and very useful to learning more about the thief from others if there is a thief guild?

I’ve heard of some on other servers so just wondering if JQ has any?

I’m finding that deciding which runes for a thief are very tricky :p

Okay so just a quick thing, I have a thief doing a stealth/crit dps build.

Ive always heard to use divinity runes for the dmg increase,
but someone today told me i should get Scholar runes instead. Which would be better for a crit dmg thief?

I just got this game about a week ago and I decided to be a mesmer because I heard they were pretty good in combat and WvW.

I enjoy playing as one, and am level 80 now.

But when it comes to and Pvp or WvW, I get my butt kickedddddd.

I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I basically focus on making clones, then mind wrack for damage but it doesn’t hurt people much (Even with the 10% from a trait line.)

I’m really new so I may just not be good at fighting or not know how to use my skills to the best.

I just hit level 70 on my only character, a Mesmer.

I’ve looked at tons of videos, guides, etc. They all say different things.

Basically, I am building for WvW. I want something that can dish out a lot of damage and kill an enemy fairly fast.

1)I am not sure the best order to use my abilities in yet.
2)I tend to panic and almost spam click skills when I fight if its 1v1.
3)I really want to try a Shatter build, as I’ve heard those are great.

I transferred to Jade about two days ago and have noticed a big difference in the amount of helpful players. They are almost always willing to help out with events going on if you just type in the map chat.

And there are at least three or four really nice guilds for WVW on JQ
