I like a mix of both. Problem with hardcore games is it becomes a job that you do not get paid for. I like difficulty not easy. But what I don’t like is something so hard that you need 12934509128374509 people to complete it. Or that one boss fight takes 45 minutes to kill. Really 1 mob 30-45 minutes to kill. I am not talking about the jurney to get to the boss. I am talking about the boss himself.
Yes an exageration I know but you get the point. Also so of us players do not have all the time in the world to play. So a nice ballance of hardcore and casual things would be good mix. Would also help open up the game to more people.
The other issue is define a casual and hardcore player. I have over 150 hours playing the game… some would call me a hardcore gammer. I am only level 58 and for that reason some would call me casual because I didn’t reach level 80 in a week, bypassing alot of content. I call myself a completionist. I like to explore and get the most out of the game that I can. I want to find and do everything there is to do. I like to RP in a RPing game. Some call that hardcore, others don’t… So which defination do I fit in? I think alot of players are a mix of both.
Problem with alot of suggestions I have been reading is: they want to change the core of the game… it’s soul if you will.
This game is very different from the cookie cutter WoW clones. Most of the community want to keep it that way. WoW had a good thing going till they kitten it up, buy bowing to every little gripe and whine. Can you say Easy Button Spam Mode? All ready you have people complaining that things are too hard to get. Heaven forbid a person has to earn their reward.
I am not saying the game could not use improvments. We all know there are some things that need fixing and some things that don’t mesh quite right. For instance waypoint pricing… should be priced for distance, not level. That makes no sense to me.
Another thing that makes no sense is some things that I keep hearing, like trying to bring back the “Unholy Trinity”. I mean seriously, we all knew from the begining, that system was not going to be in here at all. That is the core of the game. In order to change it, the game would have to go all the way back to concept/design/formula.
Its things like this that people fanboy rage about. Trying to change the core design into something it’s not ment to be. These type of people need to realize that it’s not the game for them. Sorry but you are out 60 bucks. Yes it sux. Have droped money plenty of times on a game that just wasn’t for me.
Constructive criticism with multiple solutions is a great thing… if it’s viable. Problem with the threads on these forums is, if something they want isn’t in the game they rage about it. The “Give Me Now Entitlist” generation.
They don’t seem to realize that any siginifant change in the game will not come now. It’s only been 3 weeks. Bug fixes are much more important. They expect the game to be as polished as one that has been on the market for years. This in my opnion is unreasonable. So yes they should get stupid answers for their stupid posts. When you throw a tantrum on a forum, you should expect to be treated in kind.
Disclaimer: I am not saying the OP is the problem. I am speaking about gamers in general on the forums.
I don’t see the need for any server to be tagged as RP. If you want to RP then do it. Dosen’t matter the server. Especially since server transfers are free at the moment. I see no issue. And I do RP
Hmm i guess it is random. I may not be getting items that I can always use but I am getting my level yellows. If I can’t use them… other toons of mine can or I break them down for mats.
Oh I have been reading up on these forums alot. I am very much enjoying the game. Is it perfect… no, is ther things that can be fixed or improved on… yes. But as a whole this game blows away other MMORPG’s. My opnion.
Now with reguards to Ganadorf…. dude every post I have ever seen you in… all you do is complain about everything, and how the game is not to your liking. THEN FRIGGIN QUIT THEkittenGAME IF YOU FIND SO MANY FAULTS IN IT!!!
Honestly all I have seen from your posts is nothing but trolling and griping. This is not WoW or a WoW clone. Quit trying to beg the DEVs to turn it into one.
I can understan constructive critisism. You know you find a REAL issue (not just a QQ about what you want the game to be) explain why it is an issue and give multiple viable suggestions on how to improve upon the issue to make it better.
All you do is QQ about how you don’t like something and want it changed to better fit you…. or how WoW does it better. WoW has this or that etc.
Quit complaining about everything. I mean it sounds like GW2 is not an MMORPG for you.
Please be clear on this… WvW maps and or SPvP maps count towards the 100% world completion?
I am not sure how this should be taken… serious or as a joke.
I don’t want things handed to me, I want the meaningful content to be worth my time. It currently isn’t.
Well I guess that is where we differ. I feel everything so far has been worth my time… when it is not I will stop playing.
I understand this game isn’t going to be for everyone. No game will be. But for me… me personally… it’s wickid awesome. Sure there are some issues, but for me they are small.
I guess it boils down to… is the game worth the time you spend on it… for me yes… for you, maybe not. If not well I am sure there are other ones out there.
Yeah It sux when you spend $ on a game and realize it’s not your type of game. Done that more times than I care to count.
Also I have noticed… why do most gamers today (the ME generation) think just because they bought a game they are entitled to have everything NOW, and they want it without having to work for it?
Heaven forbid they have to put in effort for that new shiny skin. How blasphemous!
Seriously folks… the self ritiousness of this new breed of gamers is pathetic. “Give it to me now!” attitude sounds nothing more than a child having a temper tantrum. According to these people, the devs must change all aspects of the game to suit their wants and desires. Can’t these people see how utterly ridiculous this is?
Maybe at 38, I am just too old to get it. the way I was brought up is nothing is free, if you want it you have to earn it. Same goes for video games. If you want the stuff in game you have to work for it. Plain and simple.
Anet do not cave into these whiners. They will bring your game down. Most of us are having a blast. Fix the problems, but do not compromise the soul of the game.
IDK what game you guys are playing, but I am enjoying myself quite a bit. I am not finding it a grind at all. Do I have alot of money… no I don’t. Is that hampering my enjoyment of the game… not in the least. I have spent plenty of gold so far in different odds and ends. So the money is there, all depends on what you are willing to part with it for.
As far as grinding out dungeons.. no one said you had to do it. That is your choice. The game is ment for you to explore every bit of Tyria and then go play WvW or PvP. Or you can just jump right in to WvW and PvP from lvl 1. The days of grinding stuff to be able to take down that boss to get the new shiny so you can grind down another boss to get the gear to grind down the next boss is over.
Any grind you do is by choice. So many ways to level up. The game gives you XP of every little thing. Yellows drop at a good rate. (least for me they have). The only people that have been having issues (that I have noticed) is those that rush to level 80. End game starts at level 1 …not 80.
This is not last decades MMORPG. And I am glad for that. Does the game have a few issues… sure what MMO in the first 3 weeks from launch dosent? In my expirence, this launch has been the smoothest launch for any MMO I have seen. I have been there for quite a few of them.
There is absolutely no reason they should explain how their anti-farm code works. Explaining how it works is the exact same thing as explaining how to work around it.
I agree. Tell us what we NEED to know. Not what we demand to know. If they did that, nothing would be fixed or added to. They would be too busy answering questions 24/7.
So what if they nerfed the dungeons or buffed them… makes them a little different now. Now you need to amend your stratigy.
People take such personal affront to such trivial things. It’s just a game. Your soposed to have fun. To me if a game is easy it’s boring and not fun. I want a challenge.
I understand your fustration with the weapon skill hamstringing. It fustrated me too at first. I loved GW1 where you could get a secondary class and infuse their skills into your rotation. Made the character unique and fun.
The problem with weapon based skills is: no diversity. Why should I, as a longbow wielding Ranger, be forced to switch from my beloved longbow just to be able to use more skills. Shouldn’t I be able to unlock more skills for that long bow?
No in order to get other weapon skills I have to switch weapons. Sure i may like the jump back shot or posion shot of the short bow. Since they are both bows why can’t it be learned for both weapons? I agree being able to choose your skills was a much more customizable expirence, making my character more unique, in GW1. I do miss that. I miss the diversity in building your character they way you want it.
That being said. I do love this game. It is my go to MMORPG. Hats off to Anet. Like I said my only real gripe is the hamstringing with the skills.
Although I love the way the polar bear and brown bear can soak up alot of damage… I do feel that I am hamstringed into only having these 2 pets qued for use.
Most of the other pets I have just do not have the survivability. They are too squishy. They die quickly. The wild version, I asure you, didn’t die that quickly.
So with that being said it stands to reason to use the only 2 pets (bears) that can take some hits and still be viable in a fight. Underwater you have 3 pets that do well… both bears and the shark. I use the shark. It can soak up a good amount of damage and give a good amount. Plus it has the bleeding dot that is a nice feature.
Anyways i think that other pets need to be looked at. I am not saying make them all tanks and whatnot. But give them some desent survivability. Right now all i got to really choose from is 2 bears…. and that sux.
What about puppy… Everyone loves puppies. they are just so cute and cuddly. I think puppy would of been better. Although I do find the kitten replacement comical.
Am playing a Ranger. I just love ranged classes. “Death From Afar!” Yes I know every class can do ranged damage. But the Ranger excells at it… especially with the pet system.
Not only can I use long and short bows, i got axes i can throw and use for close in work.
The spirit guardians are also a nice touch.
Anyway just a heads up, ultimately you want ppl to acknowledge what you are saying but at least 9 out of 10 of the people who looked at this post went “HOLY UNDEAD BATMAN THE WORDS THEY NEVER END” and they moved on without reading, so u rly need to plan it out a lot more, reduce the repetition to get yr point across or no one will read it
I’m used to making long posts, and do so frequently on other forums like the League of Legends boards (and they’re typically more analytical than this). I’ve tried condensing posts into shorter forms, but I’ve come to find that leaving out even a single detail will cause people to jump and make assumptions out of context. I had to make the entire paragraph about how Tier 3 Cultural Armor is at least twice the peak price of Obsidian armor because if I didn’t, someone would say “Yeah well it’s supposed to be super expensive!” when in context, we’re talking about hundreds of dollars in base exchange rates, which is clearly out of line.
I agree with the long winded approach reason. Too many times people read a post and nit-pick it to the point of it being a troll thread in under 8 posts. Instead of nit-picking a post, people should try to comprehend it first. Then if the poster is being akitten flame them.
They read something and find the stupidest little thing to blow up about. "You used “i” instead or “I”… your whole post is a rant and therefore not worthy or reading… QQ much?"… crap like that. And the flame war begins.
Man I have found that leveling is way fast. I am sitting at 50 on my Ranger main. Ther are alot of hidden things to do in each zone that gives you alot of xp. From hidden(unadvertised) caves and plateus… to jumping puzzles etc. All have some type of nice xp reward and a chest.
Another thing… explore the underwater world. There is ALOT of hidden content. If you are not taking advantage of maping out every zone to include underwater. You are doing your self a huge disservice.
I am always way above level when i go to the next zone. I think you are not finding all the hidden things.
I have noticed that at lower level zones it is easier to explore. The mobs are spaced out.
Higher level zones it seems that you have to fight for every single inch. These zones seem to have a higher concentration of mobs or in some place choake points to force you to fight sometimes 3-5 on 1. Yes I have had some great epic battles. But sometimes there is a fatigue factor. When this happens I usually either switch zones and play a bit more casual or log out all together… take a few hour or day break.
Let me make it clear… I do not see any problem with the amount of mobs anywhere or their tuffness. Please Anet do not change anything. My issues with getting burnt out is not because of the game, it’s because I sometimes put in 7-12 hour play sessions. It’s my own fault, not the game or it’s design.
Can a person sell or trade their mystic coins?
Yes you can. You can put those Mystic Coins on the Trading Post.
Thank You. I hade no clue.
Can a person sell or trade their mystic coins?
Wargs? maybe for asura, but wouldn’t they use their golums? Moas are even smaller. Moose hmmm, that is an interesting one. But i doubt they would be domesticated. Ever heard of a domesticated moose that was a mount before. I haven’t.
There is a reason why some large animals (of riding size and strength/stamania) haven’t been domesticated yet.
You wern’t speaking about flying mounts no.
But you did mention:…
“let’s not forget the if Anet wants to have a successful game they WILL have to listen to what the players want.”
This is what I was refering to with the flying mounts. What if enough people want it?
No.
Been discussed to death many many many times already. ANet said it’s not happening. Mounts would screw the whole way point system, it’s there for a reason. There is no reason to add mounts whatsoever, other than extra bling, it’s not needed.
False, I read an article and Anet said that though there are no mounts in game at the current time that it might be something they will look into in the future.
let’s not forget the if Anet wants to have a successful game they WILL have to listen to what the players want.
I disagree what if the player base as a whole, decides that flying gyrocopters was the thing to have? Do you really think tthey are going to give it to them?
No GW will forllow the lore and not add it. The lore is there are no mounts. I have not seen anything in GW1 or GW2 that could be used as a domesticated mount. I have yet to see a horse or horse type creature. Centars do not count. I doubt they would let you ride them. And as far as Asura riding a Charr. What pridefull self respecting nobel Charr would let himself be ridden by anyone… especially a race they concider weak?
Me personally… I wouldn’t want mounts at all. It is already quick and easy to get around in all the zones. No mounts is a nice time sink. MMO’s need time sinks just as much as they need money sinks in the game.
Most people with mounts would bypass alot of content on purpous. they do it with other MMO’s so why would this one be any different?
No I say walk/run. So it takes you a small amount of time reaching somewhere. No instant gradification. Mounts in my opnion are just not needed, plenty of waypoints. If the one you want is contested… so be it. Go uncontest it.
It’s bad enough people today complain about walking, do they need to do it in a pretend world too?
So what if people skip content, it’s their game to play how they choose, you can’t force someone to go through all the content. People will skip content with or without mounts if that is what they decide to do.
Yes but they are more likely to skip it… and that starts a chainball effect… a chain rasction if you will. You skip stuff… you get to end game faster.. cause you bypassed the time sinks… you get to end game (for lack of a better term, yes i know level 1 is end game)…
People start a flame war about how there is nothing to do… GW team rushes out content to please the masses, unfortunately it is unfinished… people start complaining again and leave the game… now less and less people here to do things with… those that leave start posting about how the game is stupidly bad and convince people not to buy it… population gets lower and lower… everyone loses.
Happened with SWTOR… some of the player base were so vocal, they pushed out content too soon or content that was never ment to be in the game. Was nothing more than a bugfest nightmare, each and every update.

I got this email too. It happened after I tried to login form a different computer.. in this case my laptop over wifi at work. If you tried to login on a different computer then it was probally you. I would still change my password just to be sure.
The Holy Trinity wasn’t a challenge either. The only ones who had maybe a slight bit of challenge was the Tank and the Healer (Depending on which MMO we are comparing them too). Most cases like World of Warcraft, Tanking is a Joke, and Healing was hard if the mentally handicapped DD (dps for ya new school gamer’s) wouldn’t stay out of the fire. Now you have the mentally handicapped that still wont stay out of the fire but have no one to keep them alive.
Most groups I have seen consisted of pure DD roles. These are where the biggest complaints are coming from. No structure, no anything. It’s amazing that in a full Guild Run with Classes that Spec Support, Melee that build Tank heavy (I don’t mean Tank as the guy who sits in front and holds the lame AI while the DD smash 2 buttons over and over) and people who know what endurance is and know WHEN to dodge how smoothly things can go. Communication and more then face tanking is needed for these dungeons.
Sure, I will be the first to admit some things need tweaking, but I find it is mostly people that PUG that are having the issues. Which sorry to say I am happy to see a game that punishes pugging. Although I am biased as I refuse to PUG as a good % of the people I have ever met in my 11 years of gaming have been terrible or refuse to listen to direction.
tldr: The Holy Trinity wasn’t challenging except for the healer trying to keep the challenged DD (dps) alive, because they were too stupid not to stand in the <insert damage type here>
I disagree with the DPS being the problem with wipes in a traditional MMO. I’t been my expirence that the tank is usually the problem. Not being able to hold agro. If the tank can’t hold agro after 10 seconds, they do not know what they ae doing.
But this game does not use the unholy trinity, so it’s irrevelent. Some of the best groups I have ever been in were PUGs. Nothing wrong with them. Maybe you just had bad expirences in the past and are unlucky. Or maybe i am just lucky.
I think what would would be a great tool to add, is an ingame voice server. Use it to corrdinate things. (as far as I know, there isn’t one). Would make dungeons and other fights/exploration etc go more smoothly.
The jump puzzle in Caladon Forest made me sweat. Was holding my breath a few times.Lava is not your friend. lol
Playing on Blackgate, and I have received zero spam emails, and haven’t been whispered from a spammer. But have seen an occasional spammer on the chat channels.
You will now. lol You let the cat out of the bag.
Lets make it simple so this discussion ends.People who did not pass math class, or economics, if you put an item on the TP for 1c under vendor cost and factor in the 15% vig. You are LOSING money plain and simple end of discussion. Don not pass go do not collect 200 dollars. NUFF SAID. But continue to do so at your own ignorance by all means.
Actually you are not losing any money. Think about it. It didn’t cost you anything but time to kill that mob and pick up the item. You then put it on the TP from the field. You didn’t spend any money using waypoints to get to a vender. Not to mention it still didn’t cost you anything to begin with.
If you only made 1 copper(plus the 15% it costs to put the item on the TP) you just made a profit.
Who are to to demand anything… Yeah that will get them to listen and do what you want. Oh and the swearing is a nice touch. That will teach them for not doing as you demand. Feel entitled much?
The market id flooded with greens. Why would they be worth any more than 1 silver. Supply vs. demand. there is a high supply and little demand… hence not worth much. makes sense to me.
Before you start saying that they should not of had so many greens drop or made them harder to make etc… Then you would be complaining about that instead. About how hard it is to get greens .. so on and so forth.
Well you didn’t beat the game. You just completed the first stage of an epic story. Just the calm before the plunge. Lick you wounds while you can and rest up. It’s not over yet.
On a side note, someone changed the topic of this thread, and it wasn’t me. o.O
Your thread title was changed by a moderator, probably for one of the following reasons (some of these reasons may not apply to your previous title):
- It used all-caps or leet-speak in whole or in part
- It was generic/non-descriptive and did not tell people what was in your thread by reading the topic
- It was inflammatory or sensationalistic
Wait, so a moderator came up with the title “Butter: I have a lot of it.” ?
That is so epic. I don’t know why it amuses me so much but I just find that absolutely AWESOME!
Someone good with images, please make a meme for this!
A better topic title would of been….
“I can’t believe i got butter”
For those of you that are too young…. it is in reference to the “I can’t believe it’s not butter” comercials with Fabio.
My thoughts are….
NO! That is way to easy. Make us continue to work for the kill. The only auto movement I want is… auto run when you press NUM LOCK… and an added feature of “follow”
I did find getting to some of the Vistas was so very hard to get to.
I think some of them are very hard for people who hasn’t play with game systems.
I had some of my guild mates just total quit and uninstall the game over they getting so very upset about getting to come of the Vistas over having to go through a jumping game to get to them.
I happen to like them but I can also see why they should be made a little more easy to get to.. Or maybe they just need to be removed off Zone finishing and maybe make it something extra if you want to take time to finish them.
I know of 3 people that have total quit the game over just the Vista. They loved the game but just get so mad about them too..
Just adding my two cents to this.
No offence but your friends are morons. To uninstall a game simply because something was a bit difficult for them to do is absurd. It’s akin to throwing a temper-tantrum.
I see absolutely no reason to make vistas easier or taking them off of the requirement for zone completion. What is wrong with this generation of gamers? Why do they think everything must be easy mode?
First they complain about quivers not being in game(its emersion breaking and not realistic, really and cat-people/plant-people/house elves from harry potter is realistic?).
Then they complain about having to walk/run everywhere(must have mounts… must have mounts).
Oh then there is the complaints of people having low prices on the TP. Really who are you to tell others what price they set for their stuff? Not your call.
Then I heard some complaints of every class someone is not playing being OP.
And now vistas being too hard etc… so on and so forth. Seriously people, enough with the petty issues. We all knew exactly what we were getting when we bought the game. Least I did. Not everyone elses fault you didn’t research the game in it’s entirity. I mean there is no sub to pay for, and we get so much for free. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
If you want an easy button.. go play WoW or SWTOR. It might be more to your liking.
*Note: Most of what I posted was not dirrected at the person I quoted… it’s dirrected to the friggin entitlists, that think everything should be their way or the highway.

There are indeed, titles you can earn in Gw2 much like in Gw1, you’re just going to need to search and find out what they are.
Good luck on your title hunt! =)
Great answer! Please don’t just give out all the little secrets. It’s fun for the community to try figuring them out. It brings us together. Makes it worthwhile to communicatre with each other and swap information.
Sounds like someone had a rush to get 80. This is not WoW, now why the rush??
I wasn’t in a rush, it took me 67 hours of time played, and well over an entire week with the same Class, and about 2 weeks after the game came out
If I was in a rush, I would’ve been 80 about 10 days ago
Did you clear the whole map? Get all the vistas/points of interest/hearts etc? On every zone? If you didn’t, you were rushing. I have played 82 hours on my main and 98 hours across all my toons. My main is only level 42. So yes in my opnion you did rush to reach level 80. I bet you missed out on alot og things.
Most of us are taking out time enjoying everything each zone has to offer.
Man you guys are getting some decent stuff. I keep getting tonics that transform me into some animal. Kinda useless.
Cytheria I remember those day of having “Runners” lol. Wow you just brang back some fond memories. It was good money too. It almost makes me want to go back to GW1 and see whats going on there.
the game is made that way to force you into exploring .. i am actually ok with that i used to be so mount-aholic back on wow i am glad i can enjoy the great scenery and exploring is much more fun when you walk around .. because you can feel how big the world is if you get a mount you lose that beautiful feeling.
And about contested waypoints i agree they kinda suck but they are also helpful in terms of finding out about cool events :POkay, that’s nice
You’re not “exploring” a place you’ve already been. You clearly haven’t been to the development joke that is the Orr zones yet. Low population, every Waypoint contested, sent back and forth constantly. You’re forced to run around places you’ve already “explored”
nope i only go back to places i have already been to for certain purposes like karma vendors or something like that also no i havent been to orr yet but i look forward to that but if you are suffering from low pop area i’d recommend that you change to a higher populated server if you are not on one yet O-o
I am on a high population server. 70-80 zones are still empty
I am gonna make an assumption…. The game is only 2 weeks old. There is probally not enough level 70-80s in the game yet to support the zones. Give it some time. A few months atleast. Most people in this game are the casual crowd. They like to take their time exploring every inch of a zone before they move on to the next.
At about the 3 month mark I bet you will see these high level zones start being populated. The waypoints will not be contests as much. Just give it some time.
OMG!!! The horror of running somewhere! Blasphemy!…
Seriously folks. There are other much more pressing matters in this game than having to run places. I mean so it takes you 45-90 seconds to run from the begining of the zone to where you want to go.
To me, and this is just my perssonal opnion, the OP is just gripping to gripe. It’s called a time sink. There for a reason… to slow you down, so you don’t burn thru the content so fast. I could understand if one was actually walking all those leagues in real life, but come on. Heaven forbid we all don’t get everything in an instant’s time frame.
So you have to run. This so called “issue” is about askitten as the posts about not having quivers(game breaking emersion) or people complaining that black powder weapons should have a long reload time like in real life(more realistic). Yeah realistic… cat people, plant people, and house elves from harry potter (asura) are realistic.
Lets not clutter up the HELP forums with rediculous QQ posts about how bad it is to walk everywhere.
My opnion, if you don’t like it… don’t read it.
You can manage agro by clicking on the passive skill. Makes your pet just a bystander. It won’t go after your target or go find targets etc.
Most want to look at it in order to see how they would matchup in the group.
Sure! Maybe there should be some kind of number that says how good your gear is, let’s call it gear score. So when we run dungeons, we can only take the best with us!
This is exactly what I hate about MMO’s. Gear is not the end all and be all… sure it helps, but when people do this it becomes a matter of US vs THEM. Everyone has to start somewhere with gear. You start excluding people out of groups, then how will they ever get the shiny?
You could of found the smartest and most skillful player ever but you take a look at their gear and say.. “Um no thanks we’ll pass on you” Little did you know the player hasn’t been able to aquire the gear yet, because they can’t get into a group.
I just want to look at the gear cause if I like it i can then ask the person how they aquired it. Then go get it myself
Dang it…now I have to decide if I want to explore as soon as I enter a zone or wait till higher level for sweeter loot. But thanks for the info.
I found that it is easier to explore as you level. Cause even if you go back, you are scalled down anyways. So might as well do it while you are there the first time.
Loot will come. It always comes.
I would love to look at other players gear… but not for what most people want to do it for. Most want to look at it in order to see how they would matchup in the group. Kinda like parsing programs.(i see these as a form of discrimination).
No, I want to look cause if I like the stats and whatnot, I can ask the person where they got it from and try to go get it myself.
Here is the thing people are not getting….
You found a cool drop, butkittenyou can’t use it, or any of your other toons. So you decide to sell it. You put it in the TP, someone can use this cool item, and they will pay for it too. You take a 15% hit when the transaction is said and done. So what. That is how it works.
If I go to sell my house and get a realitor(TP) to sell it for me, you know they are going to take a heafty . Probally more that 15. You are using a service. The TP should be paid. Anything you craft and or find and sell is pure profit. Wither you vender it or sell it on the TP, it’s still pure profit. The only thing it costs is time. (unless you bought the mats from the TP, in which case you screwed yourself out of a bigger profit).
People keep getting butt hurt about prices being low… Well duhh… they should be low. The game is only 2 weeks old. No one has amassed a good amount of wealth. It is gonna take alot of time (months) for the economy to level it’s self out.
Another thing, stop flooding the market with vender trash. You are not going to get anything for it at the TP. Either vender it or salvage it for the materials. Selling low level common stuff, at the TP, is a bit stupid. Especially when players are getting pretty good drops from the numerous bosses, area events and whatnot. You need to sell the masterwork and higher at the TP, everything else vender or salvage.
I don’t understand why u need to mail items to yourself. can u clarify the reason.
I can sell anything i want for whatever price i want to sell it for. Crafting costs me nothing except time. So what ever i sell it for is pure profit. Yes I am one of those that severly undercut people. Something is averaging 100 silver i will sell it for 50. That ensures people buy my stuff. It’s called a free market. If i am willing to sell something far far cheaper than my competitor then so be it.
Who are any of you to tell others what price they need to set for an item? Cause the undercutter can say the same thing back to you…..I hear alot of people in other threads talk about how undercutting shouldn’t be allowed. Well how about overpricing? I say that should not be allowed.
Ok now about the economy… it hasen’t gotten off the ground yet. All prices will continue to be cheap till the game is not old enough for player to gather wealth. SO selling things for a few gold is unreasonable. Most people do not have that kind of money yet. And the ones that do don’t need said item. Give the game some time.
I fail to see where crafting the items are costing people money. if you a patient enought to find the materials it should cost you little to nothing. I must admit I am still a low level crafter, but the only thing it costs me to craft is time. time spent gathering the materials.
If I want to sell something for 50 silver… i should be able to list it for 50 silver. It may of costed someone 1 gp to BUY the materials to make it…. but it didn’t cost me anything. So I have a net profit of 35 silver +or – after all the fees get taken out. All it cost me was time. Stop spending money for materials. You will not have a loss.
The other issue is the game hasn’t been out long enough for money to be generated in siginificant quanity. Hence things will be cheap cause people don’t have the coin to pay the outragious prices that it will soon become.
In most other MMO’s I have played the prices in the AH arekitten I am the guy that will severly undercut everyone, to ensure my stuff gets sold. It’s good buisness. I could care less if someone else dosent sell. Why should I. It seems the copper pinchers can’t stand not getting what they want for their items, and they are complaining about undercutting. Well how about what I want for my items?
