Priorties… that is what it boils down to. Pritorize your time. If other things in your life demand more of your time… so be it.

But people shouldn’t blame the game and the player base and the developers for not designing the game around their “very little time to play” schedule.

It’s common knowledge that MMO’s need alot of time to be invested. If a person cannot do this… oh well. Sux to be them. They shouldn’t of bought an MMO.

GW2 is very casual friendly. 2 hours a day is not alot of time… It’s only 1 movie, or 2 tv shows like others have posted. It all depends on what is important enough in your day to devote time to. Cut your time on facebook, texting, cell phone convos, tv, reading, etc etc.

Again it’s not the playerbase or the game or the devs fault that you do not have time to play GW2. It’s the players fault. If the player is not willing to devote time to the game… oooooh well. Sux to be them.

You Know Your Playing Too Much GW2 When....

Soulwatcher:
I have seen bots ruin communities in other games. Don’t want that to happen here. I mentioned it in another thread that I haven’t personaly seen a bot, least that I can’t recall. Was mentioned that they are in the 70-80 zones. I got a level 70 ranger but haven’t been to those zones yet.

Like I said it is becomming worriesome. I was in a personal story instance… full of grubs. Had to fight my way thru. Got nothing…

Wait, thats a lie. I did get something for them… a red text message that told me to come back at a later time to do the content… I was like WTF? At first I thought I got glitched. Then I realized it only happened when I killed the grubs… The instance was 50% grubs in some cave… Half my XP and loot down the drain. It sux.

I have a theory about Bots here...

70. Must be why. I have been completing zones. I find it fun. Don’t like to go to a higher zone till I complete the lower ones. OCD I think. lol

To be honest with you all… I am not sure I have ever seen a bot in this game. I know they exist in the game. it is well documented. Even Anet has said they are all over. I just can’t recall ever seeing one in this game. I must be lucky.

Maybe I have and just didn’t notice it.

Ronin i am dead set against DR. It’s poorly implimented for one. Two i don’t believe it does anything to the gold spammers at all. They have 10-20 bots all over per person and just collect all the coins each one makes. Pretty efficient.

So they lose 2-5 in a week. They get plenty more to replace them. I’ve said it before DR is hurting the game not helping it.

Soulwatcher the only thing I am worried about is the cost to keep the people combating bots. Since there is no sub, I wonder if there is enough money over the long term to keep it up. Either they will eventually shut it down (cost too much money) or they will have to start charging a sub. I imagine if sales don’t continue to happen or MT in the store dosen’t make enough money… they will either have to shut down or charge.

It’s worriesone

Always with the “game is dying” doom and gloom, because they woun’t add what you want.

Seriously… really? So many temper tantrums on the forums now a days. So the game has a few small issues, what game dosen’t. They have actually fixed quit a bit of stuff. Things you would never know in a beta test.

And this dam mentality of “give it to me now”… I am so sick and tired of the entitlist attitude. Enjoy the game for what it is not for what you demand it to be.

(when I say you… I am refering to gammers in general, especially the QQer and rage monsters on the forums)

I haven’t seen a single “MAKE IT LIKE WOW NOW OR I AM GOING TO RAGE QUIT!” I am only seeing complaints about DR and Bots, bot of which are a simple fix. But its falling on deaf ears the least thing Anet could do is make a community post saying “Look this is how were going to fix the problem”.

But they are ignoring us hoping that people are going to go away. And when they have had enough that’s exactly what they are going to do and they are going to take their wallets with them. And if enough of them leave future development of this game is going to go to the crapper. Maybe then the fanboys will be happy!

They have made a few posts on the bot issue. They just put together a group to combat the bots.

Bots are not a simple fix. You ban 1 and 2-3 pop back up. The problem is they are stealing peoples accounts or buying them at cheap rates from less than reputable countries.

Bots and gold sellers have always been a problem. Unless gammers stop buying their gold they will never be gone.

And as far as rage quitting… yes there has been a few in these forums. Either they are outright quitting or threatening to quit cause it’s not like WoW or TOR or Rift or some other such MMO. But I was more pointing out the usless mentality of these people in many forums. Not just here. Seems game forums are ripe with them.

Well, it's official...

I may of been a bit harsh with the story in TOR. Let me rephrase…

“Most” of the classes I played the story was lacking. Espcially the repub side. Someone on the dev team was a huge sith fan… or should I say most.

Anyways you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine. Neither is wrong as it is opinion.

You didn’t play TOR, did you? Guild wars didn’t even come close to scratching TOR’s storytelling. Not in content, delivery, characters, choices, or any aspect. Not really bashing Anet here, either. If there’s one thing Bioware does VERY well, it’s tell a story. Play an imperial agent, then get back to me on your opinion.

Sorry, people give TOR a lot more crap than it deserves. Back on topic:""

Actually I was with TOR since beta. I am the biggest SW fan I know. I was disapointed with quite a bit of the game. They really screwed up on it. I can go into detail but there is not enough time and space on these forums.

As far as story goes I personally think that Anet did a better job than Bioware. I think Bethesda does a better job as well. Bethesda shoulkd of been the one to make TOR. Would of been 1000x better. LOTRO also did a better job at story and richer setting than Bioware. Bioware is no longer the industry leader in story content. Not since EA kitten them.

TOR tanked on so many levels that it’s pathetic. I really wanted to love that game. Anyways, again GW2 is my go to MMO for so many re4asons. Just wish they would get rid of DR, but that is another topic.

So any plans to bring Guild Wars 2 to the WiiU?

All of what you said does not stop making the DR the most ridiculous and shambolic idea to ever come out of ANet does it?

I agree DR is ineffective, and hurts the legimate players

People are already leaving as GW2 is far from being “that good”. It’s not very good at all.

This is pure speculation and conjecture. If you have the numbers please post it and your source, otherwise it is just plain assumption

Bugs. Not slight launch bugs. Severe gameplay affecting bugs that are left in the game for days and there’s one I’ve noticed for over a week. Not acceptable. Skillpoints, hearts, DEs, there’s more.

I have only ran into “1” bug in over 160 hours of play. Was a skillpoint in WvW. 2-4 hours later it was fixed. Maybe I am just lucky

A 1-80 XP curve that takes 1 week of moderate play and 2-3 days of hardcore play to achieve? What where they thinking? You’re setting yourself up for a fall there.

Like I said earlier I have over 160 hours logged. think it closer to 180, anyways… I am still Level 68. There is so much to do. The world is so big that I get lost in exploring. Just because some people rush to 80… and yes doing it in 3 days to a week is rushing, to say otherwise is an out right lie. When you rush to 80, you bypass the whole game. Not Anet fault you are not bored, that is the players fault.

WvWvW has left me with 2 hour queues.

Really? I have never waited for more than 20 minutes. Again i must be lucky

Dungeons are a novelty after this first few times and are extremely grindy, for a game that “is not about the grind.”

Will confess I have yet to try a dungeon. Am having fun doing all the other stuff. But I will get to it eventually.

DEs. Forget trying to tag a mob. Mindless zerging is now the standard format for group play is it? When did this memo go out? I want my copy so I can say ‘NO!’.

There is no tagging. You help to kill it, you get credit, plain and simple. I don’t understand your issue.

Punitive waypoint travel costs. So I have a friend who needs my help, several times in one day or someone calls out to me to raise them in a given area, and I need to port there. Charging me almost 2 silver within zone and up to 5 out of zone is fair is it? Not even slightly.

Now I do think that this a small issue. WP cost should be because of distance, NOT level. Does a taxi driver look at your paycheck and position in the company to figure out how much to charge you? Not he charges you for the distance traveled

I made a really bad mistake purchasing this game in its current state. I wish I hadn’t.

I am sorry you feel this way. I also hate it when I buy a game and dislike it. I think everyone does. Might i suggest moving on to a different game that perhaps you enjoy?

I do hope it gets better, there’s lots of potential. It’s a common theme for devs not to listen to their playerbase at all.

So far I think the DEVs in this game have listened alot and fixed alot of glitches/bugs that some people reported. What I am glad they don’t do is compromise the integrity and soul of the game, by caving into peoples demands to make the game more like (fill in the blank) other MMO’s.

If they had they’d have known the DR was a real no-no. They didn’t and the kittens have hit the fan now

I think your overreacting quite a bit with the doom and gloom.

You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine. You asked for feedback on your points, so I gave you some. I agreed with you on 2 of your points: WP cost and DR.

I agree with the DR comments. DR is like gun control…

Gun control only affects those that are legimate gun owners. Criminals do not play by the rules. Same with gold sellers. They could care less about DR for they have 10-15 accounts each farming different things. Thats alot of gold being made. I have noticed when DR was implimented the amount of gold sellers went up to offset the slowed farming.

All DR does is hurt the legimate players. I entered a personal story, the cave complex was like 50% grubs. I killed 1 of them and got the red lettered message to come back later. At first I thought my account was being hacked, or that I was glitched. So I went from scared to irritated. Thought I wouldn’t get credit completing the instance. Then i realized that i was not getting any XP as well as loot… 50% XP and loot from an instance…gone???? Not fair to legimate players. Not cool at all.

Now that being said… I really have not seen any bugs. Been playing for over 160-170 hours. Am only level 68. I found 1 bugged skill point in WvW. So maybe i am just lucky, but I haven’t seen any other bugs.

Well, it's official...

I agree with the above positive/constructive posts. GW2 delivered almost all they promised. I was shocked at the amount of promises they kept.

DR… yes we all want it gone. I agree. DE’s they could of been more persistant, lasting longer or making more of a real change. But over all I am quite pleased with this game.

We have beautiful artistic scenery, very diverse races, classes that are for the most part are differet, and not more of the same. The music score is pretty much spot on. Oh and STORY… they beat Bioware SWTOR at their own game. The story (atleast so far) is amazing! Unlike SWTOR they didn’t VO the side quests etc, spent that time on creating content. Smart move.

Now don’t get me wrong there are a few problems, but nothing really game breaking. This is now my go-to MMORPG.

Thank you Anet for an absolutely amaging job! Keep up the wickid awesome work.

Another thing that is a huge problem in forums (in general). People constantly “nit-pick” every little word and fight over it. Most overlooking the idea or context of the post. No wonder there is no much flamming going on.

Instead of arguing semantics and punctionation etc. How about trying some comprehension. How about understanding the idea or intent/message that is being presented, instead of picking something totally irrevelant and going off on it.

The OP makes a good valid point. So what if he is generalizing… it’s still valid and true. We have all seen this common trend in many many MMO’s over the last 6-8 years.

An interesting social phenomenon.

Fanboys are unable to be reasonable so they tell themselves nonsense like the OP here to make themselves feel better.

It comes off as pretty desperate imo. Assuming so much about so many is obviously dumb.

But hey, that’s what keeps these forums entertaining.

And people like you, all they do is troll the forums. How about constructive criticisim. Instead of telling fanboys how much of a fanboy they are, how about actually identifying issues you are having and giving multiple viable solutions to those issues.

I have seen you post many times before. You stoke the flame quite a bit but offer very little if nothing in return.

I am a fan, but I acknowlege there are problems with the game. Anet has fixed quite a bit of those problems. Unfortunately not all fixes can happen in a blink of an eye. And some problems or issues have no viable fixes at the moment. I acknowlege that some decisions (DR for example) were a bad call or implimented horribly.

DR should be taken away immediately or down graded severly. It only hurts honest gamers. Does nothing for gold sellers. It’s like gun control laws… they only hurt the law abiding citizen. Criminals don’t get their guns legally, so doesn’t effect them. Same with gold sellers. I cannot think of anything else that is a viable fix. DR is driving players away… not a good thing.

See that? I indentified an issue and provided 2 viable alternatives for fixing. that is how constructive criticism works.

An interesting social phenomenon.

Notebene:
I have no problem with constructive criticism. I welcome it. But seems to me alot of people do not understand what that is.

They think pointing out every flaw and complaining about it solves the problem. "Anet “X” is broken.. fix it NOW!"… This mentality is absolutely kitten

Point out flaws… yes but come up with a few viable solutions. Otherwise it comes across as trolling or whining, and gets mostly ignored.

We all know this game has a few issues. Even Anet has conceded to this fact. Anet has been very forthcomming on fixes and the like. The communication has been a blessing compaired to alot of other gamming companies that I have been apart of. (as a player ofcourse).

People need to realize, not everything can and will be fixed withing 1-24 hours. The game has only been out for 1 month today. So far this has been the smoothest launch for an MMORPG I have ever been apart of. And I have been apart of quite a few.

Anet has even posted a schedule for fixes and the like. Personally i wouldn’t of done this. Puts way to much stress on the dev team to make the deadlines. Beacuse we all know if something dosen’t happen on the day in question, the forums and ingame chat will be ablaze with troll spewing.

Yes i an a fan, but I am a realistic fan. Do we have some game issues… yes. Are they being worked on and fixed… for the most part yes. Will it ever be perfect… never. I can live with this.

An interesting social phenomenon.

Ever consider that you are talking about a large number of people and making generalizations is silly?

Wither or not it is a generalization… the evidence seems to be true. I have also seen this type of trend over the last decade. I blame it on the “Give it to me NOW” entitlist generation. Those that want an EASY button, and are unwilling to EARN what they get.

News flash… the customer is NOT always right. The idea that just because you spent some money on a game, the devs have to cator to your every whim is total BS. (when I say YOU, I am refering to gamers in general)

I am all for rewarding accomplishments. But todays gammer seems to think that just by logging in, that accomplishment deserves awards galore. Or they demand the devs to change the game to be more like game “X”. When they don’t get what they want they start trolling the forums, bashing other players in game for having fun etc.

It’s like they are throwing a perminate temper tantrum. Then once their social verbal abuse is satisfied they move on. But before they do they have to post one last QQ thread to tell everyone just how much they hated the game, and why you should to. Then they bash you one last time because you do not agree with their assesment.

I find this type of attention seeking a sign of a more deeply rooted mental imballance. Maybe they should seek some kind of professional help. After all it’s not the end of the world… it’s just a game.

Seriously you are throwing around acusations that you actually have no knowlege of. just pure speculation. It’s already a fact that most MMO accounts are NOT hacked thru the gamming company. They are hacked thru 3rd party systems. Also lest be realistic here. NO system is hack proof. Even the CIA, FBI, DoD get hacked from time to time. It does happen.

The best we can do is change our passwords often and use numerous email accounts, one per game. Also keep your malware/adware and antivirus up to date. Keep them keyloggers and whatnot off your computer. If you find something change all you passwords for everything. Not just games. Change them for emails, banking sites, forums sites, blogging sites, twitter, facebook etc… and any othere sights you regulary go to.

I think I might of figured it out. The hight cost of WP travel forces you to either farm for a short while (DR), then farm some more etc…. or buy gold from the TP. Source of income for Anet since there is no subscription.

It’s the only explanation i can think of.

It means absolutely nothing. It’s just someones personal opinion. Nothing more. If you like the game great, keep playing. If you find some problems and issues, great report them. If you can’t stand the game, great go play a different one.

We have all watched moves, and played games, that we liked or disliked, reguardless of what the “paid opinion makers” (ie: critics) have said.

Waypoint Costs

Kailthir.6384

Playing normally as Anet wants us to play, we will make about 1.5G per day staying in 1 zone provided you do about 30 or 40 DE as well in the day. At level 80, a medium range port costs 2-3 silver. That is more than 15% of your daily revenue for a 1 way trip.

In real world terms, if you make $1500 a month, your bus travel to work will cost you ~$200 to go to work. Another $200 to go back. Your public transport cost is $400. You only earn $1500. that is assuming you port to a map and stay there the whole day and port back at the end of the day. Likely, you will port somewhere else at least once or twice so your travel cost can end up looking like $6000 $800 on travel per month out of 1500 pay.

it’s very expensive.

A little error there. 2-3 silver out of 1.5g is not over 15%, it’s over 1,5%
1.5g = 150 silver. 3 silver out of 150 silver is 2%

So those work trips are only 20$

The bus driver is price gouging by 900% lol, and getting away with it. I want his job!

I see the problem a different way. Cost shouldn’t be level specific. That is just stupid. It should be distance specific. The further you want to travel, the more it should cost. I mean when you take a taxi, does the driver ask you how much your paycheck is? No they charge you depending on the distance traveled.

This is how it should work.

There are no mounts. No domesticated animal that can be used as a mount. It’s lore breaking. Just deal with it

Maybe it is the game’s popularity fault? Or the lack of security measures? Or the incompetence on banning bots and focus on banning “exploters” like those who bought stuff from a NPC “too cheap”? NO, must be the PLAYERS fault!!

Geez rage much. It has nothing to do with Anet or any other gaming company. Be it Blizzard, Bioware, EA etc. It has to do with players using their services and breaching the TOS and EULA to begin with. It all starts there. Why aren’t the players that use gold selling services banned? Because you can’t prove it. Just like people farming. You can’t really prove thay are bots. Sure you can speculate. But what if they just found a good farming spot?

If players wouldn’t break these contracts, the gold sellers would not have a service to offer. That is just simple logic 101.

So the only thing a gaming company can do is make drops tokens, or ban the KNOWN gold sellers, or use anti-farming mechanics. Anet does all this.

Hacked accounts have nothing to do with Anet. It has already been proven that accounts are being hacked because of players are not practicing sound gaming security. Using easy passwords or same passwords for multiple games, using same email for multiple games, etc. Players are not making it very hard for hackers to get the info.

And lets be honest no system is hack proof. Even the CIA, FBI and DOD gets hacked from time to time.

All this has nothing to do with the gaming company, has to do with players not practicing security techniques, and not having integrity. They are breaking their contracts with Anet with buying gold. So who is to blame. Anet didn’t invite gold sellers to the game. Players invited them by using their services. Which again is illegal according to the TOS and EULA.

Do you really think Anet is not doing everything in their power to stop this? Do you really think they like the gold farming bots? It cuts into their profits. Only an idiot would think that they are not doing everything they can.

Every MMO at launch has tons of gold farming bots. It’s a profitable buisness. Why? Because the dam players use that buisness. takes time to weed them out.

Dungeon finders are pretty much crap and help destroy any community a game has.

Ladder PvP is just a big sausage-swinging fest that we can all do without.

You’re right about xp for support though.

Thas is a lie. Destroy the game not having a good grouping system. Stay in the dungeon spaming LFG LFG is not social at all. This game doesn’t need the exact Dungeon Finder of Wow, but actual system is just uselles. They need to implement Channels ServerWide for each dungeon, and problem solved.

  • Instant teleport to the dungeon? NO
  • Instant party create? NO
  • Any way to look for people without spam LFG LFG ? YES. In the only thing we need.

Maybe you need to brush up on your english, but calling someone a liar because they disagree with you? Unnecessary.

Additionally, you essentially said nothing that actually disagreed with me. YOU clearly don’t want a “dungeon finder” either, you want a global LFG channel, which I am definitely on board with.

“Dungeon finders are pretty much crap and help destroy any community a game has.”

That’s is simpy not true… my english is pretty bad, but i understand the concept of “THIS IS TRUE” and “in my opinion” …

Well thatis the rub isn’t it? All if it… It’s just a personal opinion. Every post is personal opinion

Not dealing with bots?

The problem is not Anet. They are doing everything they can do: using tokens, banning and anti-farming measures.

The problem is… gamers. Yes that’s right gamers. If they didn’t use the services of gold sellers, bots wouldn’t be here. Lets put it into perspective. An account costs $60. The sellers have to be making atleast over $60 to offset the cost of the account. The ones that got hacked… pure profit. As soon as Anet catches them they get banned.

Selling gold is so lucritive that buying a new account (game) or hacking another account is worth the risk. People are still buying their gold. Gamers MUST STOP buying gold… period. If the well dries up it won’t be cost effective for them to be here.

Template for people that are about to make a thread here.

I kinda agree here. QQ, rage quitting and demanding X be done or else mentality gets the poster nothing but fanboism responces or flame wars. Constructive criticism is the way to go.

For all those people that don’t realize what that is, let me explain:

Constructive criticism is the ability to identify an issue or problem and give several viable solutions, in an unbiased way.

A solution that goes against the core values or mechanics of the game is not a viable solution. What do I mean here: quit trying to make the game something it’s not. This is not WoW or SWTOR or Rift or any other MMORPG. So making a suggestion to change the game, to be more like another game, is not viable. It’s kinda stupid to be honest. If you want those features then go play a game with those types of features. it’s pretty simple logic.

This game will never have the “Unholy Trinity” or gear grind to get to content to get better gear to get to content etc. Sure it may have some geqar grinding aspects but that it totally optional. NOT required.

The lore tells us that horses etc have been gone for so long that generations cannot remember when they died out. So quite trying to change the lore and story to bring them back. There are no mounts. That is why AG and WP were invented.

Anyways just a few examples of unviable changes that people shouldn’t be complaining about.

Some issues I find frustrating

Must be just me then. Cause I am not having this problem at all. I agree some places respawn is pretty fast. But so what, it’s challenging. I like challenge. I like having to change my tactics. I like not being to zerg all the time and face roll everything. That to me is what gets borring.

Jumping puzzles, although fustrating at times to me is fun. I like having an element of great risk (falling to death etc). Whats the point of doing it if it’s easy and handed to you? Granted dieing and having to respawn away from the area you are in sux. Shelling out money for gear repair sux too. But hey that’s the penalty for dieing. So be it.

This is my personal opinion. I am not speaking for anyone else. Like alot of posters do…. “well the vast majority… blah blah blah.” I would like to see some coroborating evidence for this. Saying that it comes up in the forums alot and is an indication of…. blah blah blah, is not proof of anything.

Forums is not the place people need to look to for the “majority” because in my opinion the vast majority of posters only QQ and rage or have fanboism. One extreme or the other. The majority I suspect are having too much fun in the game to spend alot of time posting on the forums. Again just my opnion, not fact.

I agree there are some issues that I have with the game that I feel need fixing. Like way point cost. It believe it needs to scale with the distance… not the level. Scaling with the toons level makes no sense to me. Should be with distance traveled. And there are a few annoying things but none of them game breaking, just slightly annoying.

A lot is Anet’s fault with their ridiculous sales hype. Revolution this and amazing dynamic events that.

Then they released a game that is a step backwards for the genre in terms of creativity and content. All they did was change things up on the interface and make it so you don’t pick up/turn in quests.

The content itself is as stale as it gets. The classes are the shallowest in the genre. Everything about GW2 was tired upon release.

My response it this… that is your personal opinion and not fact. I disagree with it because I am personally not finding these issues. In my opinion they gave me everything they promised and then some nice little cookies that wern’t advertised.

Does the game have some problems… sure it does absolutely. No game less than 1 month from launch didn’t have problems. They are working on issues as we speak. I have only ran into 1 bug so far.. a skill point in WvW was missing, the one at the centar camp. We all reported it… I went and did other things. A few hours later it was fixed… it think it was like 3-4 hours, can’t recall.

Point is there is so much to do that it did not interrupt any game play for me. I just moved on. And that is the main issue for alot of gamers unsatisfied here, they cannot move on.

They spent $60 on a game they are not happy with. It sux, I know. I have dont it myself a few times. You buy a game with preconcieved notions or high expectations etc, and the game dosen’t live up to it. You feel like you wasted your money. Such is life.

Sometimes you just have to suck it up and swallow the self intitlement and move on to a different game. The world will continue to revolve, the universe will continue to expand and games will continue to be produced. Gammers will continue to whine and demand everything they think they deserve etc. It’s a never ending cycle.

Solbrio… i agree with you about some things being inappropiate in public chat on an MMO… but here is the rub….

What is inappropiate to one person could be totally appropiate to another. The bylaws gouverning this, are very broad and not too specific… which in turn leads to individual interpertation.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you, just trying to put it into perspective.

Why we shouldn't be forced to explore...

For me personally it’s about the storyline…I just want to experience the story. I can’t though because they dropped the ball for players like me who hate exploring because it’s a snoozefest and a chore, yet need to so we can level. I’m not going to bash people either who like to explore, I just thought that this game was going to be like GW1 in that respect that players like me who only wanted the story could experience it. I mean, I beat Prophecies I believe 12 or 13 times, and it certainly wasn’t for the gameplay or the endgame greens, it was because I loved the Prophecies story so much.

Edit: Also thanks for being respectful about it.[/quote]

And this is what I do not understand. ANET specifically told us how the game would be. They specifically said what would be in the game and what wouldn’t be in GW2, but you bought it anyways. I don’t get it. Help me to understand.

Kailthir.6384

But isn’t exploring one of the things that makes MMO’s fun? You’d like to grind instead?

Heck yes I’m only playing this game to rush to 80, I really want an account of all max alts. What happened? I remember the phrase “Play it your way” in an interview or something. Playing it my way would be playing the traditional MMO, which is running and grabbing multiple quests and then doing those quests for exp. I don’t want to explore, and I couldn’t possibly care less about exploring tbh…

Then this game is not at all for you. They have said this time and time again. We all knew what to expect. NO ridiculous grinding for gear so you can kill some boss to get the next shiny to get to the next boss… Everyone knew this was not going to be in the game.

You don’t have to rush to level 80 you can be level 80 from level 1 in WvW and SPvP. They anounced a few times. They also announced that there would be NO quest hubs and NO quest givers. Time and again they said it.

I really can’t stand people like you that demand the devs change the core and soul of a game just to fit your every whim. If you don’t like it… move out and draw fire. It’s that simple.

Look I have bought games before that I wasn’t happy with. It sux. You feel like you wasted your money. You keep trying to find the good stuff that you might like but figure out that the stuff you dislike far out weighs the stuff you like. It happens.

That is when you hang up playing the game and you move on to one that you do like.

Rush, tell us your definition of hardcore. Tell us what it means to be a hardcore player.

Well that the rub isn’t it. There are may different concepts on what a hardcore and casual gamer is. I gave a good examole earlier in the thread. Some people think that having the best gear is hardcore, some think playing alot of hours is hardcore, and some think that skipping content to get to 80 as fast as you can is hardcore.

Point is… it’s all personal opnion. For anyone to say otherwise is just a lie.

Precisly, well said. This was a point I was trying to make earlier. It all comes down to how you play the game and what your perception of the game is.

Oh I understood you Budg. Wasn’t trying to steal your thunder lol. Just putting it bluntly.

Bots Really Hurting the Game

To be honest… how the hell am I soposed to tell the difference between a bot and a player I see in the game world? Sure i report the gold sellers every dam time they solicit their spam message or mail to my toons. But how am I to really know who is a bot or player if i run past them in game. It could be an actual player farming a spot. i wouldn’t want to be banned for a false report.

“In Spanish, it is “minino” (the more harmless form of the word ‘kitten’ in Spanish)”

There’s a harmful word for kitten in Spanish?

Depends on which spanish dialect you are refering to. Not all have the same meaning. For instance in cuban spanish papaya: No1. papaya Noun The Cuban word for female genitalia.

I think there might be a more offensive word in spanish for the kittencat. Every language has it’s dual words that are normal and vulgar depending on the way they are used.

Dam “kitten” wasn’t even a swear. Anyways you get the point

I find that DR dosen’t help with the bots at all. I think it actually hurts the players much more than helps. Someone like me that works nights and games on off nights, can spend hours, like 4-8 playing.

Makes no sense to punish me for playing long stretches at a time. No wonder i haven’t been getting much in the loot department.

Brazensage has a good suggestion about some icon to let you know when you hit the point of DR.

Ok I am not sure if this has already been asked. I tried checking but it’s 0445 in the morning…

Why isn’t there a GvG or GvGvG and so forth in the game? There was in the first installment with ranking system. The game title suggests that there should be GvG in the game. Will it be implimented in the future?

This is not a complaint, it’s an actual honest question.
