You can totally use shields. I would just alter that build I little bit. For starters, That elite is neat, but overall not really worth it. Sure it heals allies 100% but have an enormous cast time. The passive heal only ticks every 10 seconds and depending on your Healing Power, it won’t make a difference in a fight. I feel that Feel My Wrath is a better option because that quickness is so sexy and the cool down is much better.
Those over two signets Mercy and Judgement can totally be replaced by a consecration or shout to benefit the whole team. Sure signet of mercy increases your healing power, but by 180 isn’t really something you’ll miss. My choice for a replacement would be a shout ( my favorite skill type btw) and I would go with Stand Your Ground, if timed correctly you can make your whole team very happy with that stability, the retaliation is just nice icing on the cake.
Signet of Judgment reduces incoming damage by a whole 10% which is super nice, but I feel that the guardian has enough healing to negate a need for this signet. It’s a little more selfish to take in a group anyway. It only affects you. The retaliation it gives is nice too, but we have our shout for that now which lasts longer than 3s weakness to enemies is nice as well, but can be done by another member if needed. Not to mention once you use that signet, that passive isn’t in effect This is where I would use a situational utility. Fighting a ton of ranged guys? Wall of reflect is your best friend, not able to handle conditions? Purging flames can help with that. Not to mention it’s a sizable fire field that your team can capitalize on to blast finish some might stacks. I use hallowed ground if I have trouble with no backs and my shout just isn’t cutting it.

I would not use spirit weapons. The only one I might use would be the Shield to help with projectiles if I can’t handle them, but really with wall of reflect and assuming you want to use shield with it’s 5th skill, you should be just fine. If you wanted to use the bow to cure conditions, I’d use save yourselves or place purging flames.
So this last utility would be up to you and what’s going on. You could put another shout or consecration here to fit or really anything. I’d call this slot the super flexible one.
As for the heal skill. For a group, I use receive the light, it’s only on that heals your allies too. But with mace 3rd auto and Symbol of faith from mace 2 skill, and popping shield 5 early for some heals too.

I know I give away DPS but I just don’t like the other weapons.

Apart from the random “hold the line” that was the meta before DH, yeah. Keep in mind that you should always switch traits and utilities arround depending on the encounter.

I really want to use the shield for something ._.

This is a pretty stupid thread, I mean really.

It just causes an over dramatic scene for a class that isn’t as awful as people say. Just because something is lower at some aspect at the game currently doesn’t mean it will always be.

Playing an MMO has its ups and downs. I wish people would realize this and wait for class balancing patches. In MOST cases MMO devs will make sure classes are not broken. I know this game has a bad rep sort of with balancing, but be patient.

I’ve played MMOs for years, and the main class I played in WoW went through bad times due to being a bit weaker than other classes. Even with this, I still did fine in raids. I raided at a mid-tier/hardcore level.

With my class being weak in some patches, then it was amazing in others. MMOs constantly change and patience matters or the game is not for you.

Play what you have fun with and gear up what you want.

I understand. I only put God, because I don’t play a Revenant. I figured Mallyx was a god. I played GW1 and loved the lore. Wish more of it was in this.

I know it’s an underwater weapon, but it’s also a weapon that should be able to be used on land.

It could be more on the support side for maybe a Guardian, then more on the DPS side for something like a Warrior.

It could be a mix of ranged and melee. I think introducing new weapons would be a great addition to the game also.

Like, there is no Greataxe in the game, flail, or even a crossbow.

I know this isn’t likely to ever happen, but the thought of a support Guardian with a spear, like a Paragon from GW1 sounds awesome, and a DPS Warrior with a Greataxe sounds brutal. A Revenant could use a flail and channel another God like Balthazar.

Just some thoughts.

I invest in Black Lion skins. If they do this, then I will lose thousands of gold. There are many people who also invest in Black Lion skins. I don’t think it would be a good idea to cause many people to lose gold just so other people can make more gold.

To better express my point, let’s say I spend $100 on gems which I then use to purchase Black Lion keys. I use those keys to open chests, and I get several tickets. I then spend those tickets on several skins that I keep in my bank, in hopes that they will go up in value, as most Black Lion skins do. After a little while, you come along and suggests that the items, for which I paid real money, should be available to you by other means, so that you will have an enhanced game experience. Now let’s assume that you have never purchased any gems. Your idea effectively enhances the game for people who have potentially spent less to enjoy the game, while simultaneously causes others, who have most likely spent more to enjoy the game, to suffer a loss.

Black Lion skins should hold their value, or people will be more hesitant to buy them, and as a result, people will be more hesitant to buy keys.

That’s pretty lame of you. I guess there’s a reason they are so expensive and some keep rising then.

A game should not be designed around people with medical conditions.

Having empathy for people with niche requirements is a good thing to do, but there’s a gigantic chasm between accommodation and breaking the game for other people to serve a slither of the population.

There are enough medical conditions that cover such a wide range of abilities that literally every piece of content couldn’t be used as a requirement if “every player must be able to do it” was a design philosophy.

Using some extreme examples there. How would removing one requirement from the item break the game?

You can refer to this situation as you would refer to marijuana as a gateway drug. Sure, in itself it may not be game-breaking- but what will it lead to? If they remove this, then people will start complaining about how they are terrible at rhythm and can’t complete bell choir. Or they keep getting trash teammates in toypocalypse and snowball mayhem. As soon as ANet shows one crack, it all comes tumbling down. And think about it- what kind of shoulder piece would it be if every player in the game could get it by putting in almost no effort? Not a nice one to have, that’s for dang sure, because everyone else in the game will have it.

The real world makes many accommodations for disabled people. Why should GW2 be any different? People are requesting alternatives to acquiring the skin: not handouts.

So they can put “Disabled Friendly” on the box right?

Literally no other game does that sort of thing. They have keyboards for disabled people, same for controllers. Try those.

After the last build, a bug developed where some players’ options were resetting. I know in my case, my “auto-loot” option went away, and my choice to not show the Personal Story reset to show the story by default. Nothing major, but a bit noticeable. (In another case, someone got to the end of a jumping puzzle and learned that the double-tap reactivated on his account and he fell to an untimely and messy death. )

Anyway, we wanted you to know that a fix for this issue is being tested right now, and once it passes all the necessary checks and validations, we’ll be rolling out this fix to make sure your settings stay set.

Changing the setting doesn’t make more or fewer objects render on screen, so you’re not going to suddenly see further in the distance if you turn it up to Ulta, it’s about the detail they render in, and the difference is most likely slight enough that you can’t really notice an observable change because the objects are far enough away.

Either that or it is in fact broken, but I would think a dev would have noticed at some point over the last three years if it were broken.

Also the LOD distance is broken. I don’t know if it’s a bug I can fix on my end, or if I have to wait for a bug fix.

The game is beautiful, but with only being able to have LOD on Low, when I had it on Ultra before really is sort of saddening.

I get immersed in the world and just want to have the same feeling as before the patch.

Going from Low to Ultra does nothing now. I have friends that say the same too

I have not fully unlocked DH ankitten ot close to it at all.

Right now I have Force and Accuacy. Without Accuracy I’d be above 50% Crit still.

I’ve heard switching the Sigil of Accuracy with a Sigil of Fire or Air would be a lot better.

If this is so, then which Sigil would be better for events, solo, and dungeon speed runs?

I’m guessing Fire will be, but just wondering.

They could add these into fractals maybe and call them “Elite Fractals” longer fractals with higher risk and reward.

It’s the only real way I see them adding them in at the moment.

Maybe get mats and and parts to build the old Obsidian sets.

They could remake the old areas, but make them a bit smaller and with far less enemies.

Urgoz for instance had a TON of enemies, with the AoE cap in GW2 it wouldn’t work out well.

These areas could drop old minis, and old skins like the Elemental Sword and Colossal Scimitar.

I doubt they’d ever do this, but yeah it would be cool :/

First one looks more unique with the dyes, eye. The set in general looks nice.

The second looks a bit too I don’t know, I hate to say it, but it looks too “edgy” to say the least. Maybe if it wasn’t all black.
