Bathea Havocbringer and the Flame Legion

Well to me that still doesn’t make sense. It’s like saying “There were some left-handed bad guys, so we are going to strip left-handed people of their rights regardless of their stance on the subject and regardless of their able-bodiedness.”

They willingly chose to forego perfectly good soldiers because of this dumb decision.

What am I missing here??? I don’t get it. I have never played a Charr so I might be missing something?

Bathea Havocbringer and the Flame Legion

I was reading the Charr lore and this glaring, kitten logic is killing me.

Just because she was like “Lol no” to worshipping flaming crabs, this meant it was okay for the Flame Legion to tell EVERY SINGLE CHARR WOMAN to get back in the kitchen? What the hell kind of logic is that? Why wouldn’t you want more soldiers for your army? What were they thinking? I know the Flame Legion are made up of a bunch of idiots but…seriously…? Nobody’s scratching their heads at this?

Okay, they sacrificed her. Wasn’t that good enough? I guess I can understand they would strip people of their ‘rights’ as soldiers because that’s how their honour system works, but… but the entire other gender because of ONE charr lady? Really?

I just don’t really understand since that’s 50% of your population, 50% less soldiers for war and 50% less brainpower. Why’d they want to hit themselves over the head like that? That’s REALLY extreme for a race that allows/encourages both genders to actively participate in war.

If a male charr was like “lol no” to crab-worshipping, does that mean that all warbands would be made exclusively of women because they’d go strip charr of their rights as soldiers and make them stay in the kitchen?

Hum… I just find it really, really, REALLY unbelievable considering their standpoint on war…

I still say trading would be a better idea than using mail…. I’ve lost tons of stuff trying to send to friends, mails that just ‘disappeared’ and never came back even though there is 0/10 mail in mailbox…. unreliable imo.

I know we all like looking at boobs and appealing to the fashion-minded ladies of GW2 but why does all the attention have to be given to how much cleavage they can show and not awesome-looking guys? Like why does every single medium armour have to either look atrocious or be a re-skin of an ugly trench coat!! I want Prince of Persia styled armour or more assassin-y stuff, not trench coats, pirates, or ugly vests.

I really should have made more girls since light and medium armour for males is like the pitiful laughing stock of armour choices. The only medium armour I found even remotely okay is the Priory armour and the T1 human armour. The rest is…ugh…. really…?

Hard time playing as Necromancer

in Necromancer

Hello,

I have a guardian and thief. I LOVE them! I faceroll maybe 3 buttons and things die (in PvE). That’s how I like it. Onto the next mob!

I recently started a necromancer. I… can’t kill anything. Every single mob is like a battle with a veteran mob to me. I have to use my entire kit three times over just to kill one enemy. I am level 17 right now and all my equipment is level 15 and I still feel weak and helpless, like I had terrible gear. Is this supposed to happen? I tried getting some minions but they don’t really help much and I still kill just as slow. But then, without them, I feel so…VULNERABLE </joke> like I just lost my 3-hit-tank blood fiend and now I have no damage because my minions are gone.

I read some guides but a lot of them are for WvWvW or PvP and talk about higher level stuff and traits. I just need some kind of strategy to get my footing on killing stuff, I can’t seem to kite very well even with 2 cripples, maybe I’m doing it wrong. I nearly die from everything my level or a bit lower than me and all 6 of my points are in toughness because of that whole minion bonus thing. Also, WTF is the point of “jagged horrors” if they just die in 3 seconds before I can even walk to the next mob?

I use Axe and Warhorn. Please help! I want to like necro (she is my only girl character and I wanna dress her up after I found out what cute clothes girls in GW2 get!) :(

Thank you. That was a very informative post. Yes, I will definitely watch videos first. I will attempt to steer clear of the paths other than forgotten, I don’t really want to jeopardize the run and waste our time…

Starting Arah.

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Hello. I have been playing for about a month. I am having a lot of fun as a Guardian. I recently started to do dungeons, specifically, farming Twilight Arbour because I wanted weapons from there.

When I first did it with a group, it felt like so long, so many hours, and so much death and awfulness that I wasn’t sure how anyone did it. Now, I have done it so many times, I know what to do for everything and how each of the bosses works.

I have completed what I wanted for TA, now, I want to do Arah, because it is the dungeon that interests me the most and I don’t care for the others. I am wondering if this is something I can do, because I was under the impression that I could “skip” all the other dungeons and go straight to Arah.

I have been doing some research on Arah and it seems like many people say it is hard. I am wondering if it’s like my TA labours where it felt awful at first but after doing it many times, it becomes second nature. But, I am also wondering if this is a dungeon that sticks to the old-age cultured MMO notion of tiered dungeons and “you can’t do this unless you have BLAH BLAH exotic gear and BLAH BLAH weapons.” I do not have exotic armour and I don’t even know how to use the Mystic Forge. If I am to gear up, then it means I have to go to the other dungeons first, doesn’t it?

Please provide any tips or information. Thank you.

Potion that turns you into a cat

Hello

Yesterday I ran the the “Twilight Arbor” instance for the first time. When I was fighting the boss Cadeyrn, I was turned into a cat. I liked it and thought it was cute and am wondering if there is a potion or similar item that can turn me into a cat again.

Thanks for reading
