I think T3/T4 is really a huge hit or miss. If the enemies hang out in the middle, you are f***ed and there is nothing you can do about it. I did a smooth Kiel T3 just now because all the enemies hung out in the back. But I couldn’t complete T4 because a grenadier kept hanging out at the rock the entire time and would not go away… couldn’t get anything done.

My husband plays the market a lot, and often sends me a lot of things to convert via crafting. This means I have many, many items to mail back to him. I don’t mind having a mail spam filter, but what does annoy me is that I can’t send more than two mails worth of items without having “message suppressed due to spam.” I wish it could be upped to something like five. It is rather irritating.

I don’t find it very fun. It’s boring when dragged out since people are hiding most of the time and don’t come out. And with ten other ghosts wandering around getting motes most of the time, you sit in ghost form and do nothing since you have no motes.

The first minute is probably the most fun, chaos everywhere and everyone dying.

That was hard. I did it on my thief since I don’t have zerkers on any other char… failed somewhere 5 times total on both T3 and T4, those Veterans destroy me, and that stuff follows me all the way to the ends of the earth.

EQ2 had a great commission system, I wish we had it here. The commissioner would give the crafter materials through a specific trade window, and the crafting would be started from that window. If the crafter succeeded, it went straight to teh commissioner’s inventory and returned any leftover mats. If the crafter cancelled, all the mats were returned to the commissioner – there was zero room for scamming people and was clean and quick. You didn’t physically ‘give’ the other person mats.

Not really. The hair choices are terrible (specifically, men) and I couldn’t choose the right body type for my guardian. I had to choose between either having chest hair and being only kind of large or being the biggest size and having no chest hair, which irks me because my guard is supposed to be huge AND have fistfuls of chest hair.

The only character I’m mildly happy about is my necro with the addition of the karka shell, I am sad I could not get lucky enough to find a sclerite weapon to give her a complete look though.

I know the title seems inflammatory but this is for genuine interest and not trolling at all. I know people have different tastes but I am very interested to hear why people like Kiel, mostly from a writer’s perspective.

Me, I personally cannot stand her, from what I have played in the story so far. She is never wrong, always right, never doubts herself and doesn’t have any flaws or notable personality past her job as a hard-working Lionguard. She even blew up a ship (granted, no people were harmed, but still, a ship) and it was okay. Even her prominent trait, being very dedicated to her job, isn’t played out in any negative way at all – it would be very interesting if she actually collapsed from exhaustion or something from working long hours and not getting enough rest. But I digress.

So why do you like Kiel? If you don’t like Kiel, you can post why here, too.

I’m going to have to say mesmer, even though I feel they don’t seem to do much damage, but mesmers can easily solo champions and are very versatile in terms of skills, they pretty much do everything.

I personally believe Necros would be better if you want to just pull the entire world and then cast wells/marks and watch things die. I used to think necros suck (well, they still kind of do) but it’s probably my 2nd favourite class to play in pve. They’re pretty durable for a cloth class, close to earth/water Ele.

Speaking of which, earth/water ele is also very durable but they don’t really do damage I feel :c then again I don’t play much mes or ele

Still, even if you don’t like guardian, they have excellent survivability. And with the right build you can roflstomp mobs/people without losing a drop of your HP.

And she has the defiant buff. There are just a few npcs that do, and all of them are pretty important (I mean, besides bosses).

The mystery of Kasmeer annoys me. When I read her story posted on the news with her meeting Kiel, she seemed elegant and intelligent, with an air of finesse. Even in her chats with Faren at the beach she sounded at least witty.

What other offensive power up could the leader use (besides the one that checkpoint jump….that would be completely unfair)?

The Light Speed checkpoint is a defensive powerup actually.

I think giving the leader that powerup that slows people down would be fine. That can at least be managed and doesn’t usually cause any issues in actually racing.

The leading person should only be getting the blind, since it’s pretty useless.

Doesn’t Blind daze though? I swore I used blind and watched a dude get stunned mid-jump and fall to his death (and I laughed). I think it’s more useful than lightning since you don’t see blind coming.

On topic: Yes, one of the things I raged the hardest the most about SS was the FLIPPING RANGE OF FAKE POWERUPS!!! it’s at least 180 and very hard to avoid – I even tried to 1-jump over it and STILL got hit! Now whenever I see a powerup I just use Grounded… or just avoid powerups all together.

Then once I actually started playing in the zone I loved it and had a lot of fun finding all the Sky Crystals. I’m also now addicted to Sanctum Sprint. Coming from a person who -abhors- JP…

But it is not without saying that the skills are -extremely- buggy….

I have to say, this run into the JP was nicer than last time. Last time I went at around 1-2am CST and while I didn’t get attacked the other servers did spring traps which annoyed/delayed me, then later after I got the cache/chest I got ganked. Nothing really awful or to get upset about, just another day in OS, I would have rather not done that again just because I hate the puzzle.

Then early this morning at about 7am CST I found a group of 5 people doing the puzzle and I tagged along and helped with swiftness buffs and such. It was completely devoid of anyone except us and one SoS guy who we left alone. It went much smoother because without traps and accidentally hitting other servers’ people and making you slow down, I could actually jump. So it was good.

That being said, even if my experiences haven’t been bad, I still don’t approve of putting these things in the puzzle since I have a feeling most people who go there are PvE bunnies and already wouldn’t touch WvW with a ten-foot-pole, I would think this would only serve to deter them from that area of the game and leave them with a bad taste in their mouth. But what do I know, if bringing life to OS was the goal then they certainly reached it.

I agree it’s mostly about luck, the thing I hate the most though is those powerups. They are literally unavoidable and their range is ridiculous, it’s like a 180 radius anywhere close to them. >.<

Hi, I love the new Sanctum Sprint game. But I have trouble processing all the things happening simultaneously and I’m not so cognizant of everything going on. So this means I am not so good and usually place in 6-9. I know I cannot get #1 so I would at least like to try for #3 or #2 for the cheevo. Does anyone have any tips?

Specifically, those fake power-ups are the death of me…literally. Is there a way to jump over or avoid those?

Also, how do you know when to use any of the crap you get from the pots?

Oh great, this again. To be honest my first experience getting the cache was only as frustrating as the puzzle itself before I got to the end, got my chest and then got ganked. Then I swore to never go there again because I got my cheevo and I didn’t need any more of that.

But… the cheevos call. Time to get up at 4am to do this kitten again.

Is that the part where you first jump to one of the sails, and then try to use the jump pad to launch yourself on top of one of the higher sails? Because that jump always gets me. The jump pad is kind of unreliable, especially at that jump.

Yeah, that’s exactly that one. Half of the time it’d only push me up to the 2nd sail, the other half I’d miss the top sail and land either into the water-hole or the ground beneath the jump pad.

Aion sure is a lump of kitten for a game but the concept art is downright gorgeous. I wish we could have armour like that. But if we do, please avoid modeling high heels on my lady knight, she tends to have trouble running towards enemies while wearing stilettos.

Ok, came in this thread to write about the new cutscene… holy kitten!!! It completely blew me away. I love Jory, she is so slick and cool. Her model is totally sick. The cutscene was very noir-like and I absolutely loved it. MORE PLEASE.

Oh, and the effigy ceremony was also excellent – Kiel shouting orders at everyone and lots of things moving, very energetic and alive. MORE!

This is my point. I agree with you, that NCSoft has lost revenue from me based on these RNG only skins. They might make money on the RNG boxes, but they would also make money on skins in the gem store.

They certainly have made more than enough revenue off of whelps who squelch their money on RNG games, thinking that it will be different or something.

But it’s not my money so it’s none of my business.

Something similar in TERA too, though they don’t have hats I think. When I change my armour to something that might clip my hair(?), my hairstyle changes to a bun.
