Tjegra: 80 Norn Necromancer
Mefitic: OTW to 80 Asura Necromancer
Please adjust the land casting time down because taking us out of the fight for 1.5 seconds to cast a pet is just terrible. The fact that the ranger pet reportedly takes 2.5 seconds to attack doesn’t really concern me because (I believe, correct me if I am wrong) the ranger is still able to attack in that time; Necro’s can’t because they are tied up summoning a pet…putting the Necro at a huge disadvantage…
Please fix it in pve too!
Yeah, that has been noted as well in the upper portion of this thread, thanks for your input though!
To the OP, and any that agree with OP: quit whining and find another hobby instead of wasting your life away in a pixel world…
The people that get a character, or 10, to lvl 80 and fully ascended, exotic, w/ legendary in less than a year spend waaaaay too much time in this make believe world.
Casual players and middle of the road player bases are much larger and more of an income base than hardcore players. It’s economics 101, cater to the larger crowd.
Why is it that, as a Necromancer, the pet cast time on land is 1.5 seconds…and 0.5 seconds underwater??
The 0.5 second cast time is very nice, could you please adjust the land casting time to 0.5 seconds too?
Being put out of a fight for 1.5 seconds to summon a pet, when you are zoomancer spec, is not a very nice thing to have to deal with…
Yeah, I can’t understand how the mechanics of the golem are any different than any of the other pets…
PLEASE FIX!
We, the player base, MUST keep this thread alive!!!
This is one of those incredibly annoying things that should be pretty simple to fix.
The Dev’s post is many months old; time for an update and fix!!
Terrible idea.Botters go teleport allover the place to find these chests, and who will get the chest each day ? You guessed it right, the botter ! And what will happen when they all start selling them on the blc ? … you know it already.
What will happen is the ridiculous price money grubbing slobs ask for on the precursors will drop substantially. It happened in DAoC and should happen here…
I remember when Darkspire items were incredibly priced because of these kitten players wanting to rip off their “realm-mates” because they felt entitled to that right. It was LAWL-fest when the farmers came in and you could by an entire set of DS gear for around 9 plat! It made the game much more enjoyable for the casual player, myself included in that lot.
Eh?? What are you talking about Wesnoth? The flesh golem should be able to go into the water as well…just like the other pets. Instead, it disappears and you get stuck with that crappy plague form which ends up killing all of your pets if you use it…
What’s kind of annoying about posting on the forums is that Dev’s hardly ever answer anything other than an account issue…thanks for the two way feedback.
These tools known as “forum moderators” keep harassing me because my posts are honest and accurate…they merged mine (discussing how ezmode bosses are) with this one discussing how quickly they die…
Waffling wafflers.
Honestly, the Champion Giant that spawns Nageling WP in Diessa Plateau is a very enjoyable fight…but even he could be made more entertaining.
the temples always seem to be contested, if you are looking for group content then why don’t people do them?
the dragons and other group events (besides Orr) are just zergy loot pinatas. hopefully the upcoming loot changes will alter that a bit
The temples are fun once or twice…but I just don’t care to try and run through all the aggro to get to the event.
Plus, they are pretty much the same as the dragons…I have only been downed (not dead) a few times in all of the temple events I have been to…I think there should be more actions on the bosses part that knocks people away, stuns them and confuses them…just more interesting period…
Just figure out what time works best for you bud…It’s not that hard to do.
Just an FYI, if you have already used the “elite” skill on Flesh Golem, you can still push it to get him to start fighting…even if the timer is going on it.
Or perhaps that is coincidence…
Another thing that would be cool is that if the players wiped out the dragon would essentially take over a small area in the map it inhabits…and the players would then have to regain control of the poi’s & WP’s in that area along with fighting the dragon.
Please just make them more interesting!!!
The issue that I have with the dragons is that they don’t move and don’t force players to pay attention…if the current attacks the dragons have would pop in random places that would be more interesting. The addition of some other abilities would be nice too. I am not advocating that a fight last an hour or more, but to have to pay attention while fighting the “world boss”…is that too much to ask?
Perhaps… instead of making the world boss dmg larger area…make it random with a relatively large area…
I agree with Ronah on the video link.
Like for the Shadow Behemoth, it would be cool if he would control some players for a few seconds and turn them against the other players…the players that are controlled would be invincible because they would be controlled and thus immune to damage because they can’t feel it.
The dragons are just plain silly, they should chase people around and as each foot comes down on the ground it would be an AOE that you would have to dodge. There could be a tail swipe too…even a wing flap that would punt people…fighting a dragon should be epic not zzzzzzzzzZZzzzzZZzz…. /wake-up, sorry, fell asleep talking about how EZmode they are…
All I am saying is that the “World Bosses” should be insane fights that are a blast and there is the chance to get whiped… In DAoC you actually had to build a primary tank group and have healers from other groups focus healing the main tank…things like that would go a long way in this game… Now, I realize that there are no classes that have a big single target heal like in DAoC, but they could make cannons that would shoot a shield onto the main group and would have to be coordinated in order to keep the group alive…
I agree with Aeolus…it is like you are just attacking a gif file.
There is no challenge to it, no need for coordination or anything, just stand & spam.
@ El Qox: I figured I didn’t have to say that the ability to change the skill would have to be OOC because of the way the QB gets disabled when you are in combat…
It would be nice to customize the number of skills available for each # slot because there are a lot that I never use because of my spec…and in those rare situations where you have to change to something that is better suited for the situation it is a PITA to try and find it quickly when you have a fraction of a second to react.
Seeing as how my OT was moved & edited due to /bumps; I will revive this for the sake of conversation among the player base…and hopefully the devs will pay attention…perhaps even respond once or twice.
The world bosses in this game are a joke. I have never seen an entire group of people wipe or lose more than 20% of the players (dead). The bosses need mobility, tethered of course (but a huge tether).
In DAoC it wasn’t uncommon for a whole zerg to be whiped because a boss clobbered them. The unpredictability of the boss is what makes the event fun; the loot afterwards is just the icing on the cake.
In this game, everyone just stands in a “safe spot” and afk’s while their toon AA’s the boss…lame.
Does anyone else feel the same? If not, why? Please be constructive.
hrmm…there is a skill that can’t be purchased because I don’t have the DD edition?
LAWL @ that!
I have all of the other skills, oh well, not gonna pay extra to have that ability! :P
Though, now that I think about it, four out of five attacks in Lich form are GT based…that might be a bit difficult to do…
Wow…I have only been turned into a Moa once and didn’t even realize whether or not that happened… Jeeeez…
The not attacking thing is kinda annoying too…it can be forced to attack by hitting your elite skill…but that is a band-aid at best…
The bone minions don’t like to leave my side either I noticed….it is like they are disobeying my command to attack…pfft…
Please fix pets and allow the darn golem to be acquatic because plague form sux for water fights and doesn’t go well with zoomancer spec…
Even the fact that you cannot turn into the Lich underwater is kinda lame…
Heh, I have 200+ skill points avaialable…yep…level 80 norn necromancer.
I have not been able to purchase this ability for the longest time now…please fix this.
Pretty please fix this!
Surely on track for being the best class in game. :oP
Make it so the Flesh Golem can go underwater please.
Plague form is terrible for Zoomancers…it drops all of your pets when you transform into it.
And then you have to wait for the timer to reset on the Flesh Golem before you can summon it.
The ability bar (#’s 7, 8 & 9) should be customize-able.
When you pick the selector icon just above the ability (7, 8 or 9) you should be able to select a variable number of user selected abilities for that specific ability number (7, 8 or 9).
For example:
Ability key #7 could have two alternate abilities tied to it, ability key #8 could have five different abilities tied to it and ability key #9 could have one alternate ability linked to it.
Right now, trying to quickly find an ability when you have some 10+ to sift through is an issue because it affects your response time to situations…
Hrmm…this is odd…I am looking at a website that has jewels that are available for earrings and such…
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?TEApTA
I realize the site is out of date with traits and such…but what gives? How come there are items listed as WvW and PvE only??
@ BioFringe
Thanks for the input; but I don’t think it really matters given the location that I picked hasn’t changed since launch…
I apologize in advance if this question has been asked a million times before; I tried a brief search and came up with nothing.
Where do you get the WvW jewels? I am looking for the Berserker’s Jewel…can you craft them or are they only available from a vendor?
Thanks!
The following location has 5 to 6 veterans right in one small area in PvE.
They can all be killed in about 5 minutes total; shouldn’t be longer than that.
@ Scribe, there isn’t one specifically for Daze, but if you are interested, the Paralyzation one appears to work for it.
I just wanted you to know that I was doing some testing with this on the PvP dummies and there was a notable increase in the duration of daze when I had one sigil of paralyzation on the OH weapon.
The duration increased a bit more when I put another one on the MH weapon, but I have yet been able to grab a stop watch and try to time it…because they don’t provide any adjustment in the info box for either the active state of the skill on an enemy or the skill info… I also equipped the Mesmer Runes and there was a bit more of an increase…
Counting w/ the Mississipi method I got around 4 and what seemed like a .5 (4.5 total) seconds duration…pretty waffling good for beating on someone!
I realize that the base daze duration is 2 seconds and the total ‘%’ bonus is 63’%’…but it sure seemed like 4.5 seconds duration…again, that is counting by mouth and human error is unavoidable…
(edited by Kitedyou.1720)
Does anyone know if this sigil has an effect on the duration of daze? I saw elsewhere that people where saying it effects knockdown…
Thanks.
The necromancer trident skill #4 (Sinking Tomb) is not cast-able on the move, it makes you stop when you cast it…not sure if this is intended or not…but there it is.
/bump for devs that don’t seem to care that healing is underwhelming.
The popping in and out of stealth thing is crazy as far as I am concerned…the time should be increased slightly, because often times you can’t even get in a hit before they stealth back up again…lame imo.
Haha, typical stealth class players, all you can do is troll rather than try to educate people, like myself, in a constructive manner.
I guess I just prefer the old school DAoC style of stealth. All these wusses that use stealth to cheat you of a kill are ridiculous.
It is a game, stop being a pansy about dying in a 1v1.
/rant off
I should have had the title be more generic…because there are other things that need to be fixed / added too…
Like it would be nice to have a mini pet bar that basically allows you to see the current health of your summoned pets…because if one is going to die and you can’t see it, it would be nice to be able to have the choice of sacrificing it or not…
Necro support heal is pretty weak. The two weakest classes right now are Necromancer and Ranger, they got maybe 1 or 2 builds to use that are good.
540% for you. 440% for your allies. I run a build right now for hotjoins that heals anyone in the well of blood for nearly 8k, 14k for me, plus regen over the duration for another 3k.
Wow…how the hell did you get 14k healing??? How high is your healing power and what is your spec? By looking at the numbers I recorded it seems that it is impossible that you could heal yourself for that much…assuming the increase is linear…
And how is your damage output? Can you solo anything? If you are spec’d purely for support that is great. But some people, like myself, roam solo a bit here and there…
It’s obvious no one cares about this class :p
LOL
I figured there would be a few trollers that would surface.
I am sorry, but it is just annoying how they go in and out, in and out, in and out…
Just learn to fight like a man, take the hits and live with the outcome; and don’t try to tell me that I am playing some OP class and I just want kills to be easier on them, because I am playing a sttihy necro.
It is not that they aren’t beatable, it is just extremely annoying.
And as far as PVE goes…well, that is where a re-use timer would be the ideal.
One word: pasties
Forget decreasing the cost…make the armor more durable…it is stupid that after one death you have repair the armor…Whatever happened to durability, especially for tanks with their heavy metal plated armor??!
What about both?
Well, if you only had to repair your armor once every 20 deaths that would be saving you a lot of pixel gold…
