Odd since I legitimately play, and have well over 400 pips from outnumbered. Outnumbered makes up the majority of my pips since I am only receiving 3 pips (1 for level, 1 for WvW score, and 1 for getting wood).
i can see it making up the majority if you’re getting 3 pips per tick, but i seriously doubt the claim that having over 400 from outnumbered is legitimate gameplay.
Below is my final from last week… i played 73.6 hours in WvW and never broke 300. If you’re getting over 400 for outnumbered, then you’re actively farming it.

OK, so I might have have a tiny bit more time to play this week than the average player, but I’m obviously here because I enjoy the mode because I’ve hit cap 4 times.
The problem is that this is not a ‘reward system’ its a contribution system. It does not exist to reward those of us who play enough to be able to hit cap 4 times in a week, it exists only to penalize the players who cant hit it once.
The best fix they can do is to make the tickets invisible in the background. keep the rewards on tick but do not allow the player to see how close they are to gaining tickets. Tally them up throughout the week and award all tickets for players on the Friday reset. They don’t even need to increase the cap, they can keep it at 175, but they need to stop showing the player how close they are based on a 5-min ladder.
That was my point, years of no indication that they would ever be useful again… and now they’re useful.
I wouldn’t have wasted them on obi shards if there was some kind of sign I might need them
I’m holding onto mine since ANeT tends to suddenly make something useful again without warning and make them not drop as much at the same time.

Yes please, especially if tickets are staying as a main currency, it would give those of us who hit cap early something to work toward
It is still interesting to see the PiP threads. WvW has really never been about rewards when talking with the old timers. YES the rewards are here that other areas of the game enjoyed WvW’rs wanted some rewards to be inline with other ascended rewards.
Except this thread started off from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have to struggle so much to max out. If you look at the time required to max out each week, you’ll see that for someone that normally plays 2-3 hours a day, there is no huge difference between them earning 6 pips or 17 pips per tick, they will still hit the cap each week. However, the time requirement increases exponentially below 6 pips, and that is what many have pointed out, that the pip rate should be more linear. Increasing base pips for server placement, for example, even by 1 pip would make a huge difference for those at the bottom.
Here’s a handy chart of hours per week vs. pips per tick based on the values from Limodriver’s table:
This is what I’m pointing out, in theory i should have already doubled my cap this week. But since the cap is fixed I’m still only gaining as many tickets as a person who barely makes it.
Take my current 3,306 pips:
Lets say i never commanded -135
That’s 3,171 PiP’s
Lets say i was never outnumbered -150
Thats 3,021 PiP’s
Lets say i was only bronze rank -515
That’s 2,506 PiP’s
Lets even say that my server never got higher than 2nd place in a tick – 497
That’s 2,009
This cap requirement of 1,450 is not hard to reach for people who play the game mode. and it doesn’t matter if it takes you a week to get there, the cap stays the same even if you put 3X as many hours towards it.

yes, EotM is the purgatory for those stuck in que.
and WvW is not meant to be fair, the fact that it is completely unrestricted pvp is what makes it fun. if you’re looking for a fair fight that’s what ‘Structured’ PvP is for.
it does not matter at all how fast or slow you gain PiPs. you don’t even need to afk farm or hunt outnumbered maps.
whether i blow through to cap in a day or if it takes me a week to do it. i’ll still never get more than 175 tickets.
It would be a nice addition to the WvW section of upgrading a guild hall to have an unlockable Guild Commander tag.
This upgrade would give players who have bought the commander tag from the proper vendor, the option to display their guild emblem in place of the dorrito.
The guild emblem tag would show up as an option next to the other colors when choosing, and only be available inside WvW maps, and only if their rank in the guild is checkboxed to allow it’s use.
Please no.
Alternative: set your options to use team colors.
I don’t mean for identification purposes during fights.
I just think it would be a neat addition if the color of the banners on the item changed to represent your server’s current color in that week’s matchup. (both inside and outside of the WvW maps)
Please make the banners that hang off of the Warbringer change color depending on which WvW color our server is each week (Red/Blue/Green)

I have a DH, and a Condi Necro that are both geared for raids.
KILLED: VG (Can tank it on my DH), Gors, Sloth, Trio, Math, Castle Siege
some experience: Sab (died at 1%), construct, and samarog
chat is no problem, i can get whatever program you use

matchmaking will never work until they take class into account.
if every PvP game ive played has been on a Necromancer, and i decide to try out an Elementalist, im getting placed where i was on my necro with no experience what so ever on the class im using.
until they change matchmaking to rate a player based on class, it will never work.
We have the Fractal and sPvP tournament wings, why can’t we have a legendary back piece for WvW?

kinda like how originally during the assault on the Gates of Arah, you got more loot and a chest for doing the attack, but only a boss with no chest for defending it
do you need to actually play the episode to get that ability? i thought it was just part of the mastery system.
the story was good, but the episode was filled with time-sink garbage like “just go do stuff”
dont care at all about order of whispers, vigil is where its at.
i did find it interesting that this is another primary character who didnt want to join the new guild (why did we even make a new one instead of keeping destinys edge?)
but the main points of this episode is that the queen doesnt wear shoes, and logan is the new pact leader.
was i the only one who didn’t seem to have a problem with that fight? i was running a full zerk DH, yeah i went down a few times but never actually died.
and i was not using stand your ground.

Also from a genre perspective, you cannot progress the story if a player is the central focus of every major event. There needs to be an NPC at the center of the major events in order to write it into lore, its exactly what happened with Kormir in GW1.
That’s why Trehearne was given credit for Zhaitan, and why our character is now removed from the Pact.

the only way this would be a complaint is if it were something along the lines of not being able to use way points without unlocking the WP mastery.
also to further prove its not a base feature, PvE and WvW auto loot are 2 completely different things, because its not a required game function.
AoE loot is the only thing you get at base

What i think will happen.
Kasmeer will die, it will be Braham’s fault.
We will get the 2 dragons to fight, Lazarus will absorb the magic from the one that dies.
no need for this, i have found a few ‘non elite’ builds that work perfectly fine in current pvp. players should be encouraged to buy the expansion, not be given a ‘safe place’ where they can hide their man-buns from the rest of pvp.
i would rather see 3 different theme maps as the borderlands, keep alpine, keep the desert, and add 1 more
when you buy a game, you buy the whole game.
if you buy a movie ticket, and choose to only watch the ending credits, that is your choice.
the entire point of getting a keep upgraded is to make it easier to defend

i’ve been locked out of my email with no way to recover the password, does this mean that the next time Guild Wars 2 asks me to verify a new network ill never be able to play again? or is there a way to change my account to a new email?
So apparently there is a new update today, I was trying to launch the game to download it but it wont open anymore. From shortcuts to trying the actual location of the game files. Do i really need to do a fresh install just to play? Or is there some other way i can fix the launcher to actually open?

well, 5 months for 1 legendary.

So I was trying to check some of my character’s stats, specifically I wanted to know how many times I’ve tactically respawned, but if you take a look at my chatbox you can see that this information has been mislabeled under the wrong category as “deaths”.
it is unfortunate that there wont be a full set of new legendaries, but then again, almost no player ever had the intention of crafting all of them anyway. i myself already made the Flameseeker shield and Juggernaut hammer before HoT, and didnt have any intention of making the new set anyway (unless the 1h sword looked better)
but i would gladly take new content updates over a weapon skin i wasnt going to grind for anyway
we could always start skinning the quaggan, would give us some really soft leather
on my necro when I accidentally double hitting shroud form…
not only does it place me back in regular form when I wanted to be in shroud, but now its on cooldown and I cant use it
they would need to change the animation for each race for crossbow, a skin is just a skin and wouldn’t work as a different weapon entirely.

You are aware that people already use the LFG to raid yah? The only difference is that we want quality of life to make that process easier. AKA not make a mess out of the open world tab and not having to make a party to invite people from the LFG.
So either you are wrong, or raid are already flooded with every green wearing character because the LFG is already use for raid.
and the LFG purgatory is where they stay, if actually added this feature to the LFG they could instantly join your raid without any screen -just like dungeons. so no we don’t want this added
