I was thinking about Custom Arenas recently and an idea popped in my head; could we be allowed to set the boundaries of a map? For instance, could we be allowed to say only the middle of Legacy of the Foefire is a combat zone and everyone gets spawned around that area?

I believe having the ability to set boundaries around an area allows for less “running away to heal up” scenarios in the inevitable deathmatch arenas we’re going to get from customs.

I think we’d make new maps before we would do something like that honestly.

imo tPvP / sPvP thiefs are not as good as WvW thiefs…

dont get me wrong they do their job very well (jumper for example) in tPvP and i would agree that it takes skill to play a thief in the higher skill lvls of tournament play but its in no way comparable to 1vsX that some thiefs do in WvW enviroment consistently.

is this a troll? Thief is fine, just replace your rage sigils with fire ones. Honestly, they still need to nerf mug through the ground. Thief burst never even came from quickness in the first place, if that’s how you were playing -you’re doing it wrong lol (let me know if you want a guide).
Played my thief the other night and it’s as strong as ever.

1) Is anyone seriously playing with rage sigil? Omg.
2) Fire sigil instead of rage? so I suppose you are talking about the sigils on d/p or d/d, whatever. Fire sigil instead of air? Why!?
3) Quickness is (was) one of the most important things in thief’s burst. A burst without quickness is like 100% avoidable by anyone, no jokes. The backstab casting time is so slow that even a child could shadowstep it.

I’m also a thief, i don’t see the point anymore to have a thief instead of a DPS ele.
It’s fairly obvious.

And thieves do not have any other viable build.

So there’s no point in having a thief in a team.

I agree thief has no other viable builds, which is truly sad, but it’s still a good class. you think quickness sux now (not true)? then use assassin’s signet instead.

in the meantime bunker eles laugh at thiefs and warriors. especially warriors.

the fact is in pve you can farm golds and then exchange golds for gems. so basically you can buy gems just by playing the game. in pvp you can’t earn gems (not anymore, at least) so you’ll have to buy them for real money.

I’d prefer earning gems by winning paid tournaments, like it was before, instead of buying them for glory, but yes, we need a way to buy gems.
