I have a juvenile armor fish called " Gimmedatfilletofish" Gimme dat fillet o fish. i couldnt fit it all in there like wanted to but i was close enough. I couldn’t resist naming it that and it has stuck.

the 1st suggestion is constant all the remaining ones are constantly refreshed and it is very annoying. You guys Shrinked the Font(LFG for ANTS? ), but please fix the refresh problem

good to know im not the only one, and its exactly as you said, the first is constant but the rest aren’t. i hope they fix it soon!

I’m unsure if this is happening for other people but for me the LFG party selection screen is constantly refreshing to the point where its difficult to read any of the party descriptions/names. Its pretty annoying. I cant really take a screen shot to show it since it’s refreshing a lot and a screen shot can’t prove that. Is anyone else experiencing this?

As of the april patch theres no such thing as town clothes anymore. Now theres Outfits which can be used during battle . I believe ur horns will most likely be a skin you can apply over your helmet. And no they do not float above you head as the few ppl i’ve seen running around had them attatched to thier head. if you want to check before u open it go to ur bank and then look at the wardrobe and check in the head section to preview.

I’d like it in general if they did more for guilds, cause as it stands you join a guild but u can be in 4 (?) other ones as well and idk I just don’t feel the devotion as i did with other games because of that. but then on top of that, there’s no guild v guild which i think is rather fun.. in the old game I mentioned before they’d have battles where the winning guild would get to own a town and tax it and what not idk it was a nice reward for being the winning guild and the battles would be held weekly .

The sad reality is this is not the game I used to play and so I shouldn’t/don’t expect there to be the same things.

I’d be happy with any new changes tho, unless they’re just plain bad ones.

We had this in an old game I used to play, we used to have Guild alliances, and a chat for that. It was pretty fun especially for planning events and battles. im all for this idea, I think its a great idea to add a little more to guilds.

What are the benefits of making Ascended armor/weapons?

It probly comes off a as noob question but yes I consider myself one regardless of how long I’ve played

To get to the point, What are the benefits to making ascended armor/weapons? What can it do exactly?

I usually just use exotic armor/weapons but I’ve started wondering how much better Ascended actually is. I heard its real hard to craft, and time consuming, but is it worth it in the end?
Im just curious is all.

Exchanged gems to gold only to not have enough to buy a skin i wanted on the TP, then i sold everything i had saved up in my bank and other chars i didn’t need/hoarded from gathering and still didn’t have enough but i put up my offer. I got the skin cause some precious soul out there took the offer, BUT the day right after the price on the skin dropped 200g in price.(500 was what it was listed when i tried to buy it then it dropped to 300 ish) i regretted being in such a rush. LESSON LEARNT.

I kinda get the feeling that when they do bring them back.. it’ll be in a raffle like the halloween raffle.. makes me a little sad cause then the chance of gettin it is slim to none unless you stock up on wrappers..(if they do tht again)

That´s what I mean. You can´t even buy new BL skins in fear that they´ll put out again the Dreamthistle weapons (for example, I want the greatsword really badly) and that you won´t have tickets to buy the weapons you want of the set you want.
And now that key farming is a constant leeching of gold (I rarely get whole tickets) it´s even more difficult.

I havent been able to get any tickets.. OTL only scraps and at that I’ve only gotten 1 so I had to buy some gems to exchange to gold to get the weapons //I’m so lame// but it was the only way I could cause I weighed my options and figured since I have super crappy luck when it comes to scraps and tickets I was assured more of a chance just payin up front. (it still cost me all of my gold I had saved before exchanging gems)

idk what to suggest to you if your not up for doin somethin like I did, but I wish you the best of luck if your really want that sword QAQ I FEEL YOUR PAIN <3

I think the problem with this is that if they put armor for one specific race in the gemstore others might complain,.
I love my Sylvari’s to death too (although I don’t limit myself to just plant armor) I’d love to see more sylvari themed armor.

I think its an interesting idea. I’d be completely down for it but to be honest since it is a big part of their income I doubt it’ll happen.. sadly.
It’d be real nice to see tho, and definitely a motivation to get more scraps. The prices of the skins on the TP I find to be some what reasonable considering the time/work that goes into getting them, yea they are expensive but if you get them early on its not all that bad.
No I’m not a key farmer or lucky enough to get tickets (in all my time of playin since beta I’ve only received one scrap from a BLC)

Sadly any time I want a skin off the TP I weigh my options “cough up rl money or save up gold till my fingers dont work”
And with the removal of certain skins I only expect those prices on em to go higher as time passes.

I play and read, I feel its good to know whats goin on in the forums as well as in the game.

If I’m really into it like I was a couple months back, I’d get on and do some wvw/eotm(mainly eotm tho cause my wvw servers dead) then I’d go and explore the world out there, and do some personal story/ LS, along with lots of gold spending/making. and Gemstore store fun.

Now days cause of school and life, I’m not as into it and I just log on mess with armor, check trading post and gemstore, and do things with the guild (on the weekends)

Yes i do, but its a forum, and so I expect it to be seen here. What I didn’t expect was for it to be seen in game. Sadly when I made it, I was not aware tht would be the case.

great job! I’d love to see some of these in game or some variation of them, it’d be cute to see all the sylvari women running around with them.

I’ve been both Norn and Human ranger, and in the end I’ve settled for Sylvari ranger. I’m quite satisfied with my choice. My first ranger was actually a Norn ranger (back in beta) it was fun and I really liked the story but I felt she was a little to tall for me (personal preference problem) it wasn’t bad tho. Next I made human ranger, that was also nice, the story imo was a little lacking but I can over look that seeing as its not my main focus. My human ranger felt right when running and shooting bows, I actually prefer the way human females shoot bows compared to how males do. They stand more upright. I played her for a while but eventually moved on.(I wasn’t to keen on the voice acting, thought that’s not why I stopped playing her) My third Ranger is a sylvari, I still play him. He’s a cutie, and lots of fun, I really enjoy the creativity put into sylvari and the story. I still don’t like how he shoots the his bow exactly but I’ll have to get over it.

They all played well and each have their own issues so its really up to your own preference. Just Make one of each and try it out for yourself!

I wanna post my fave ranger!! cause I got motivated by this post to show off, here is Maistah Malus my baby sylvari<3 I cant decide between colors for his armor so i’ll post both(he has a different bow in each pic cause i cant decide on those either)~

I don’t do as much wvw as I used to in the past (my servers wvw is pretty much dead now days) and not nearly as much pvp as I probably have to do for the skins there…tho I’m sure they’re nice, and grats to the ppl who earn them! I’m just looking towards something we mix and match I don’t mind if we have to earn it so much. or if it comes from the gem store but either way, it’d be nice. Those data-mined armors are ^ gorgeous- want- BUT will they even be released … I hope so ..

Will we be getting any new armors soon? Not tht I don’t like outfits but I love mix and matching, and I can’t get that with an outfit. Also it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve had some…. Idk I’m just hopin for some more!

My ele, I’ve had her since launch. Shes gone through lots of looks and what not but I really like this current look the most so far. .. unfortunately there’s not many pant options for us light armors OTL …so I made do with these for the past years. (I’m not sure how I can put more pics so just one piccy sadly)

I have the same issue too and asked in map if others had it, and it turns out lots of others did I hope it gets fixed soon its a real pain when tryin to dye my shoes…

My sylvari male is quite naked on the beach, literally just in his leaf. Its a little awkward when I see other races in their undergarments that look ok for the beach and the sylvari female def. get something nice. But I just feel for the sylvari males on the beach that look close to naked, poor guys… anyway to get to my point other swimsuit styles for men and women would be real nice~ plus 2 summers already and no swimsuits.. it’d be a real nice something something for us players ~!

Postin my sylvari cause No trenchcoat!! so why not? I’m pro less trenches. some look cool but there needs to be more variety..imo

This is my best looking char so far, my old Main. I still get on her from time to time though. Shes one of my faves. My ranger~

So I’m offering up this idea which I don’t mind if ppl expand upon or anything, but how about a " /invisible " which would remove our character from Our Screen Only so we can take some lovely screen shots, it’d be really nice. I know its close to what ppl call first person view but, hey w.e . All I know is when I stumbled upon a really nice area in the grove I would of loved to take screen shots with out my character in the way. I think a feature like this or similar would be great! The game has so many nice places and scenery that it’d be a plus.

Commin from a game where open world PVP (no consent needed) was allowed and GVG I have to say that this is a bad idea. Yes its fun to some extent but it really isnt a good idea over all unless players have to give consent, cause otherwise your just putting more power in the hands of those trolls and ppl who like to kitten round with other ppl.
Whose to stop them from goin after your train of ppl and picking them off or to go round attking ppl who are just tryna lvl. Thats wat would happen in the game I came from . Ppl would spend time tryin to grind and lvl up and a troll would just come by and kill the whole group .
Its not all that fun unless consents given.

I got the same things too…. rather disappointing specially with the name of the bag, expectations rose only to be shot down.

here’s my shot at this ~

-I hate grammar kittens – I like to type how I want. I cant say they all bother me but wat I hate most is when they ignore the question or comment just to go at the imperfections in spellin. Get over it .

-When I’m angry I like findin bridges and jumpin off them. in game ofc . Its fun and gets me laughin a bit

-I hate my display name. I wish I could change it but I have no faith tht it will ever be changed.

-I like playin male and female characters. Despite wat my gender is. I don’t care both have their pros and cons when it comes to armor. and wats wrong with some eye candy from time to time.

-I honestly have no idea wat I’m doin when it comes to traits and builds and all tht mumbo jumbo. Im learnin slowly but I’m still pretty noob

-I have 4 lvl 80’s. Ele, Ranger, Gaurdian, and Necro. Ima noob on all but hey idc I’m playin and havin fun anyway

-I avoid guilds like a plague, cause I don’t like how everyone can see my display name, I guess Im a lil paranoid. Same for parties too, unless i absolutely have to….

-My girlfriend used to play with me and I had a blast now tht she doesn’t play it makes me feel a lil sad. Despite this, I still tend to buy kitten for her or keep things just incase she decides to come back she’ll have some nice things.

-I don’t mind rp’ers. In fact I love havin them in the city, it sure beats havin the npc’s repeat their convo’s over and over and over again.

-whenever rp’ers are nearby I cant help but want to watch, I always chicken out and end up hidin behind some corner or area just listenin in . God I sound like a creeper.

-Slyvari males are really cute imo. I cant explain wat I find cute bout these twigs and salads but I just find them cute.

-I always report spammers, and gold sellers. Nothin gets me more mad then when they whisper me to spam.

-It took me 4 days to find an unidentified fossil in Dry top and a day and a half to craft myself to 400 in weaponsmithing. No regrets.

-I never stay in a guild to long when i used to join them. I just cant seem to get comfy in many or any. I’ve left a couple and i just leave with no warnin. its a bad habit. maybe one day I’ll find tht one guild thts just perfect. for now I’ll just stay guildless.

-I hate how weapon skins always come in BLCs it really bothers me I remember back on the first wintersday when they were sold via gemstore. and I found tht perfect. I always hope it’ll go back to tht.

-I cant stand the noise “scrolls of knowledge” make when ppl use a bunch in one go.

-I’m afraid of dungeons, despite wantin to get some dungeon armor. I’ll have to get over tht some time.

-I find Mini’s useless but if ppl like them good for them. I own a couple myself. I’ve never bought any from the Gemstore tho.

-I’M A HOARDER in game. I cant help but keep everythin I think I might need even if I don’t. my banks filled with armor pieces i don’t need anymore yet..I cant help but keep them there.

-I’m generally nice to ppl in game and have no problem helpin others out in anyway I can. But lately my sarcasms been commin out a bit more. RNG brings the worse out in me.

-I love wvw and eotm but i completely suck at it. tht doesnt stop me from havin a good time tho.

-It takes me forever to get gold in game and when I do I tend to spend it all real fast thus resultin in me bein poor again.

-I tend to send ppl materials, if I see them ask in map chat and I have some to spare.

Just some confessions its probly alot but hey w.e it was fun to read alot of these

I dont think they’ll let ppl sell them especially now that they’ve gave ppl a way to exchange them for bags instead.
Ppl who exchanged them already might feel cheated out if they all of a sudden are allowed to be sold on the TP.

I wouldnt mind buyin it off the TP from others if the option was available, but only cause Im havin 0 luck in gettin them, today more chest I opened. so well over the 20 and def. 30 -40 range and nothin still…

I have to agree, its pretty hard to get one of these fossils, I’ve been tryin for a while, and well over 20 chests and still nothing. It’d be nice if they could have assured there would be a chance of it falling at least ONCE and then rng’d a second drop of it ….
I just hope, tht I get one before people move on and make getting geodes harder..

I’ve actually had something similar happen to me just a few minutes ago, good to know I’m not the only one experiencing some buggyness. I put up an advertisement for the living story, to get a party goin and soon found myself with some folks but then the group was changed up and for some dry top taxi stuff. I’m not sure what that was about but … I hope it gets solved soon. I reported it in game already.
