Look at that beam? It’s literally spamming and taking over a whole area.
Pretty sure that’s not its intended function. A small light, yes, but a large one like that second photo, and its MOST often done that way , that’s not right.

Should be considered a bug, and You can’t actually report the specific person in game over this type of thing. There’s literally no way to report them for stuff like this? What category would it fall under. If its spam, then that’s already been done by everyone in the community times before. But if that’s the case are they simply checking chat logs? Or actual ACTIONS, because they didn’t say a word just went in and started blinding us all. Should still be checked up on at least.

Still seems like a bug to me at least with the way the lighting spreads out like that.

I wasn’t sure where else to place this, but i do consider it to be a bug of some sort. I dont think it should be able to do this under the use of a tonic.

I’m part of the RP community, we rp in taverns in DR, lately there have been cases of people using tonics, (rabbits, or spiders) and spamming the Tomes of knowledge to create LARGE beams of light. EVERYWHERE. This affect can take over a whole TAVERN area. Can this be looked into and solved? It’s not only a very annoying form of griefing but blinding!
There’s no report function for this in game, so I’m coming here asking to be heard!

(If this isn’t the right place for this topic, than feel free to move it, but i do believe this to be a bug in DIRE need of fixing please!!)

BUT, I would not like this one bit. As someone who already dislikes the whole friending system as is, (Randoms can add and know your location without so much your approval or even notification), I don’t see the reason for those mutual friends to also see my location in map. If I wanted them to see where I was in map, I would simply add them to my party/guild.
Just cause I add you back as a friend doesn’t mean I want you to know everything about me, e.g; my exact location in the map. Having my general location (map name)Should be fine enough.

It’d take what little sense of privacy I do have, away.

Call me paranoid, but this would drive me so far away from the game. Sorry!

I like what you’re getting at in this post, imo its easy to follow and does point out an issue with the lack of update for personal story…though I do suggest putting in a Spoiler warning somewhere ahead before readers continue on!
Good points though, I think they won’t up date the story though because..they want people to still be able to play through those (But if that were the case i feel like they should let em play through season 1 too?)

I was kind of hoping for more of a turn out this Wintersday sale, but ..its just a festive mini Aurene (Milking it much?) , some items didn’t even make a return. Really hoping next weeks beats out the last two weeks, gemstore wise at least.

I suspect that if they had increased the cooldown on every skill in the game more people than you would have noticed.

See that’s what I thought too, but I asked around in game amongst all my friends and guildies doing the new stuff, and they said they felt a difference too … Mehh…It’s probably just some weird placebo affect going on then (or something of that sort). Thanks for the reply though!

/All/of them. They all feel much longer cool down wise, with the exception of the One that doesn’t have a timer. — All means all, not sure what else to say other than that. The ones with the timers, feel longer. ¯\_ (?) _/¯

Idk if it’s just me but The cool down times feel much longer after today’s patch. I first noticed it while doing the First ep..y’know the ones with the /you know what’s/. It was very annoying..Maybe it was just me. But it certainly feels like all of them take longer now.

Anyone else feel this way? I didn’t see anything in the patch notes about it so I’m asking here.

I’m not fully done with current episode but I do have to say ..I don’t like having to talk to the npc’s when there’s a massive group of people around. It kinda breaks immersion since you can’t even see them due to the sheer amount of them. On top of that it creates such incredible lag.. I’ll attach an example of what I mean exactly.

I would love it if the personal merchants and the like that I can’t use were invisible to me Too<33 … It’s such a pain to go up to one and click to interact a million times only to realize its personal and not for me w

I already have ppl able to follow me with no permission, this would give them the power to now spy on my build/gear/‘style’ from afar with no permission. …I rather like my privacy. And yes I saw a lot of “You wear it for all the public to see” Yea I do, but I also just cannot run around naked can I? And I won’t wear something ‘ugly’ that i don’t find appealing either.

As far as the style thing goes…I’ve had someone ask me once in game bout mine. And then show up the next day completely copying it. Down to character model face color and kitten. LOL rather disappointed with that.(Specially cause I’m an Rper) Yea, Anet owns all the rights. But.. It did take me time to find something I myself thought of as unique and they made it, Un-unique.

I got no problem if people ask up front, I’ll say what It is I’m using and what dyes I’m using as well. And sometimes it can create a friendship, because it Keeps people TALKING to each other. Which I feel is important rather then snooping from afar to get the same result even if it is easier.

Bottom line: It’s invasive. I don’t support and want it in this game , that’s for sure.

Well i did the patch and so did many others in game i was with, but the outfit still isn’t in the store so i guess there’s another patch to come sometime soon? Hopefully not next week.

I switched characters and was still getting the same affects of DR on the second, that I was receiving on the first though? The other chara was getting only copper and Karma /as well/ only I had never put that chara through the maze until today…

I’m not entirely sure how DR works but I can say after farmin the event yesterday like crazy, then takin a good few hour break. I’m talkin close to ten plus hours of break time and logging off livin rl and what not, I came back to bad drops. DR was still havin its affects on me and pretty badly if I do say so ..I was only getting Karma and Copper from doors at this point. So I asked around and people said to switch or do other events. So i switched charas to one that’s never been in the lab this year and STILL, just karma and copper from doors and only mobs were dropping treat bags for me and not a lot after a good while of playin.
I’m currently logged and waiting til reset as i heard that can reset the cap on it. Hopefully it does..

So I’ve been thinking of a few Halloween items I’d love to see come around this year, and figured why not ask about it on the forums!

Pumpkin Helmet skin! It would function as an armor skin and can be mixed and matched like any other armor skin, probably a few gems worth in the store and definitely would make for a cute affordable costume, with out having to be a full outfit!

Pumpkin flying Kite! This would serve no other purpose than just a mini toy for us gw2 players to run around with. It would work just as the other kites do.

Other Holiday Items!

Winter Mittens glove skin! An armor skin that would take on the look of winter mittens for the upcoming winter season~ Look stylish with your earmuffs, and scarf and now mittens! This would allow for a mix and matched winter look! Only a few gems in the store as well hopefully!

These are just some Ideas I thought would be cute to see in game for the up coming holiday seasons. If anyone else has anymore ideas please write them down under and spread the joy!!

I’m part of the RP community in NA and i have to say the Public ERP isn’t a thing. Yes, some people have the mistake of ACCIDENTALLY posting it out in a /me or /s but dear gods is that embarrassing for them and I’m sure they don’t mean to.(Very very very rare) Those who DO ERP in public are probably trolls, imo. Because no sensible role player would really submit themselves to that kind of embarrassment. I’ve also never really seen anyone do this kind of thing on purpose, and I spend all day in DR.

Divinity’s Reach is one of the very few places where RP still thrives and i wouldn’t like to see it die down any time soon. Megaservers kind of killed it…a lot.

As the previous comment mentioned, please don’t smear roleplayers for these types of things. I’m sure if they had they choice they’d want an rp server for themselves with no ‘haters’ out there as well, but alas we don’t have that choice anymore.

My post is pretty much just the title.
I’m curious as to how people see these ‘anomalies’, or if they have to do certain things to see these? I heard of a cool event concerning them and interaction with them but as someone whose never seen one before… its a little saddening that I can’t do it? Unless I’m mistaken and there’s a certain way to see them or idk maybe I’m missing something? I heard it was client side.

Can anyone please explain this further! Please and thank you!

Hands off to this episode, it definitely beat the first. I still notice the trend of wanting to blow everything up however. I’m not sure when that’ll end, but at least this lovely place was kept intact..for now. It’s a LOVELY map, I absolutely love it, its large and wide, yet the monsters vs breathe-able space is great. I love that everything here isn’t trying to kill you like they were in Southsun, VB, or The fen. Those maps were hell, and actually stressful to even spend a few mins on so ..I wouldn’t, i’d be in and out asap. This map is the opposite, I actually want to spend time in it do the hearts (I love that they’re back), and explore.

As for the story I have to say this episode was far more entertaining than the first of this LS3. The first felt like a complete chore to complete, where as this one I was doing it while adventuring at the same time and I didn’t even notice. It was meshed together in such a way that I feel it kept the player wanting to keep going. The plot twist at the end was amazing as well I have to give an A+ to that really keeps the players on their toes (Or at least me), and wondering what’ll happen next.

When it comes to the new weapons added in, the carnival/circus weapons I really wonder if this is the direction all new weapons will be introduced in and if so why the sudden change? They don’t quite seem worth the amount of gold, I’ve heard and seen lots of gold and karma sinks in this patch. I’m not too sure what to make of them, but I personally don’t see myself using them any time soon. I like to hoard my gold and karma.

And finally as for the Mursaat backpiece and glider I have to say…IT SCARES ME. I got a fear of spiders and just seeing that around gives me the heebie jeebies …

Either way I love this latest episode, keep up the good work!! I hope to see more of this type of game play around more. It really felt and gave off that excitement of a ‘first’ experience I got when i first started playing in central trying. Very nostalgic.

P.S.: Please put the new currencies into our Wallet..

Idk if it’s been mentioned before in this post but can we have Right click “Follow” Option, that allows our characters to follow other characters, I can see how it can be trollish to an extent but for RP purposes, it’d be great to be able to follow some leading character and not have to stop to adjust and not crash into walls.

Ways we can prevent it from being abused is, if your character runs a far enough distance the commands broken? One of my last games had a function like this, it’d be great here for RP purposes at least.

Just go outside, no offense, but that’s the goal of pokemon go, isn’kitten To go outside and explore the REAL world. If it’s implemented in game, not only would it just encourage people to stay in but I’m sure it would come with many complications of its own. Yes it’s an interesting Idea but maybe it shouldn’t be with Pokemon go and instead with different things like Lore related stuff.

I stated it in another post but its been 7 months since our last set of new hairs, and we are currently on that 7th month, so I’m guessin we are gonna get one this month sometime. but 7 months is a ridiculously long wait imo. Specially when those perma kits leaked some new hairs out, so there are some already out there, the question remains when will we get them???

We’ve honestly been waiting for new hairstyles for close to 7 months now. In fact this is the 7 month, the last time we received any was wayyyyy long time ago(Wintersday patch). You’d think they’d have hairstyles out and ready for us by now, specially since that leak kinda shows, they did have some. Getting new styles out would really help with this current drought we’re experiencing.

I was exploring and noticed a few unique poses NPC’s can do in game, but yet our charas cannot. It’d be great if we could get some new poses/emotes<3 Like this sitting one i found in Auric Basin.

It’d give a bit more variety, please anet <3 Hopefully it’s not asking for too much since it’s already in game..

Canach should definitely be part of this team, I wouldn’t have found the HoT story as interesting with out him.

After looking at the new gemstore Items, I have to ask the oldest question in the book. Why can’t we have mounts, that are purely cosmetic, but not just brooms, and digging machines.. or this new recent flying one?

It’d be nice to run around on some Mini cute horse mount (Although there are none seen in game, npc’s do speak of them in DR) Or some animal mount in general?

We can Ride brooms, dig under ground, fly a carpet, and now even fly with some electrical stuff. So … why not just ride a cute mount, normally?

Not asking for a speed buff, not asking for it to be anything other than what we have already, but with a different look. A more traditional mount type of look. I have no issue with brooms or carpets, I own both, but I’d like a nice dolyack mount or bull (whatever animal they choose).

Anyone else think the same? Sorry if this is confusing to read!

I wish Scribing costed way lessss, honestly I was excited when I first heard of it and after seeing the back pieces I was even more excited. No offense Anet but this has been a disappointment in my eyes (Generally I’m a huge supporter). The amount of cost for someone to level scribe on thier own is ridiculous, and if it its supposed to be a guild effort where we all donate to one person dedicated as a scribe, then there shouldn’t be such things as the Back pieces. It’s unfair.
Why would one person who aims to level scribe donate their resources to the guilds dedicated scriber simply so they(guilds scriber) can reap all the rewards from it? Makes no sense to me. Either allow items created by the scribe to be traded, or lower the costs so this can be achieved on a personal basis.
I would have no issue donating to my guilds scriber if I knew that when the time came, I could ask them to create me the back pieces to completely my collection. (I’d give them the necessary materials of course). As it stands there’s no guarantee of this so I don’t feel compelled at all, and going at it alone is just ridiculously overpriced.

Just as the title states, one of my favorite holidays and I’m sure the favorite of many other holiday lovers out there, is coming up! I can’t wait to see how they’ll lay out decorations and designs this year, I absolutely loved the Divinity’s reach decorations last year and Hopefully we can see them again. (Doubtful since LA is fixed, but fingers crossed).

Anyway to get to the point, I was wondering what sort of fun Ideas we could have with items from the gemstore and thought… Hey! Why not take those ugly sweaters, socks and hats and make them Gemstore Items! Dun dun dun….. I mean why not? Who doesn’t wanna see their char running around in some dorky little ugly sweater or lil ugly socks to match up with them. These can replace normal armor pieces, and hopefully will just be separate armor skins and not an outfit.( Like the scarf and earmuffs!)

That’s my lil wintersday wish list in a nutshell as far as GW2 goes.

Just doin an update on my issue, with a couple of restarts of my computer the game is now workin perfectly fine! No crashes!

I’m having issues as well, it’ll get me as far as the character select screen. All my characters look funky as idk what, and some are even missing eyes.
I tried what was suggested on here with the updated of my Nvidia driver and I’m not sure if it’s only me but the driver failed to install, even after multiple tries?
I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
Hope fully the issue will resolve within the next couple of days..

It’s not just the grove a group of me and all my friends who were in Sparkfly Fen cant get back on either. Every time it loads in it crashes. we’re all stuck there after this build.

I guess it’s just more of a personal issue I just really dislike it. But if it can’t be done then I guess I should just deal with it. Anyways thanks for the feedback!

With talk about the game going on sale again I’ve been wondering if it would be possible to, link my current existing account to a new account and perhaps transfer everything over to it?

I’m asking this mainly cause I hate my account name/ display name w.e it’s called. (Ladyswan one you see here, I’m looking for a more gender neutral name )
If i purchase a new account I could choose a better name but I’d lose all my progress and from what I’ve heard they don’t allow changes to these names, so that’s sadly outta the question..

i saw this dance yesterday and its actually really nice. I hope they add it elsewhere. I doubt they’d add it to Vol. 1 of the Dance thing but i’d love to see it in the Vol. 2 if ever theres any. or maybe just seeing it in general in the game (and being able to do it) would be real nice.

Alright I’m currently pressed up against the lovely Gift filled royal terrace FENCE. because lets face its a little unfair, IMO entirely my opinion, to lock a good section of that Small section of DR behind a pass purchased via money (of all currencies gold or gems).

What I’m trying to get at is: I feel that in honor of the holidays Royal terrace should be open to public for this small season (while wintersday is being held there at least). Or if this is just not doable for w.e reason Then at least give a complimentary day pass or something of that sort. IT is in DR’s wintersday area.. and takes up a good bit.

I recall there being a regular quiver in the wardrobe. I’m unsure if its available but I found it interesting seeing as I thought Rox’s quiver was the only one in the game.

I wish they would have kept the Race forums untouched aswell, its a real bummer to see them gone.
Its pretty fun to look into your races forum and find people or topics that are easy to relate to or interesting…it created a sense of pride for say sylvari or human or charr or w.e you may have been.
i’m glad its still there but its kinda just thrown off to the side.. it should at least be grouped in the section with the professions.. (or something just not how it is now)

I think i’ll confess again cuase its beena while and things have certainly changed since my past confessions!

-I still hate grammar kitten’s. That will never change.

- I actually joined an RP guild and now partake in Rping in game. Its real fun, and definitely has given me a new perspective on the game. (I used to secretly admire it and now i’m actually part of it :’ D)

- I’ve joined a guild despite me avoiding them for a good part of a year or more.

- I’m no longer super paranoid about my display name, although I’d still like to change it for obvious reasons.

- I’ve made more friends in game than i thought i would originally.

- I like playing male characters more than female ones- i just feel comfier for what ever reason.

-I have conquered one dungeon since my last confession and i feel thats progress in the right direction.

- I’m still a hoarder, its gotten worse I’ve recently had to upgrade all my inventory bags to accommodate it.

- I did teq for the first time with my new guild and actually enjoy it.

- I still have a spending problem in game but I’m able to make money faster now that i go out and about fighting with buddies.

-I spent 400 something gold on my bow and even though I love my bow, it went down 2 gold in price the next day. i feel slightly ripped off…

-Transmutation charges make me anxious when trying to come up with good armor combinations. I always fear I’m gona run out and never be able to change back with out getting some more.

-I’ve gotten lazy with the LS, despite me wanting the armor. The “Meeting the asura” story line always frustrates me.

-I feel i spend way to much in the gemstore, and find myself wishing i had spent it elsewhere in the game.

-I still dont know much about builds and the like, and its been about 2 years now? but i feel i’ve made some progress.

-The few friends I’ve made in game, i treasure. They’ve definitely helped change my view on things.

-I dont see myself really leaving the game to another, i love the whole pay once thing. Its not a bad price for everything you get.

-I wish we’d get more armors than outfits, but lately that dreame is being crushed.

-I’m not and wasnt okay with how the Gem Conversions were changed up, and i still dont like the “fix”. But it is better than nothing.

- I wish they would make armors from the gemstore free to apply after purchase but i can see the logic as to why they are not.
