I’ve been doing the dailies for Wintersday, but none of them have updated to the LS content achievements.
Anyone else?

As the title says, I do the dailies for Wintersday nearly every day and still haven’t got credit for any of them.
Bug or what???

I activated a magic find and a xp guild banner, got 2 xp banners out and can not activate the magic find banner or any other one.
I have several ready to go, but for the life of me can’t figure out why they won’t spawn for me
Would love a quick response please

Glad I reached out to our Yaks friends instead of LFG, it really made a difference!

My small group of guildies have made the effort to start doing Fractals, at lowly level 5 as of last nite, we got DC’d twice in the middle of the underwater fractal. Me being party leader, everyone then got kicked
Also in the Snowblind fractal, after killing the Legendary “whatshisname” we couldn’t get to the chest on the ledge altho we killed him off the ledge. This particular bug has been there more than 6 months.
Special thanks to Seras for running us around a few nights ago and giving us some motivation to Fractal again

Most likely it’s because of the change in DST. I seem to recall them doing something similiar back in March when the time changes.

Instead of getting so upset why not call it a wash and do something else at this point? Posting here isn’t going to do any good. If Anet is aware of the problem and they were going to respond they would probably have done so by now. It isn’t like they are going to read these threads and say, “Oh crud! We are on it. Thanks for letting us know! We will have it spawn in 5 minutes tops!”

We did cancel the event over 4 of our guilds. But the magnitude of organization isn’t that easy to say, “Well, let’s just go do something else and come back in an hour”.
It’s really not that simple.

Equally disappointed in the lack of information from them. Terrible way to run customer support.

Would be nice to hear something about the Tequatl situation! The forums and twitters are blowing up with 600 TTS members waiting over 2 hours so far, we haven’t a clue as to what’s going on.
Any kind of update would help!

Man i have been working hard in the primary overflows to make sure we TTS1 beat him. I dont tend to see anyone else from the guild stepping up to that plate very often. (Not sure who is supposed to be leading the daily 5pm kills)

Regardless these guilds are great and if you want to kill Teq these are the guilds for you.

Sioned, HellsPriest, etc…are always on organizing these.
After the 5pm kill we switched to RaidCall because someone spammed our TS addy in mapchat and a mass of people joined kicking out a number of people. Otherwise, I don’t think TTS has ever NOT beaten Teq at 5pm, at least on OF1.
We killed him again on the next spawn and everyone was on Raidcall. Read the guild message of the day and you’ll see the new raidcall addy.

Just finished the 5pm PST in Sparkfly, should’ve been my 4/5 portal invasion achievement but it didn’t advance.
I stayed on the same map, didn’t disconnect, although I WP’d a lot. It wasn’t an overflow at the time.
Sure would love an update since it’s taken me 3 days to get this far and I would like to get into the pavilion again.
EDIT: This was the second time I finished Sparkfly, but does that not count to the Invasion portal Achiev?
I know it doesn’t count for the 13 map achiev since I already did it.

I adored the Krytan armor look in GW1 and just had to buy it. It goes really well with Rox’s quiver too

Hit it about 40 times last nite and still couldn’t get ahead of that darn dog!
Took a trap build, muddy terrain, etc…
My gear is exotics with toughness and haven’t any trouble staying alive, just run out of time and can’t get that dang meat quick enuf!
I’ve tried #4 on lb, SB, axe/torch, axe/wh. I’m using dogs and wolf for fear and immobilize/chill…any pattern i’m not seeing?
Camera angles in the beginning are gawdawful and I seem to miss the first meat throw.
Sure would love some strategies! Been proud of myself beating all of them up til now on my ranger main, but this one has got me banging my head on my keyboard! LOL

Either someone dragged not one, but two into the center of the pavilion so you get insta killed once you zone in, or it’s bugged.
This is in an overflow and would love a fix for this

Since it’s part of the achievement to kill one of each, how do you trigger these guys to aggro?
If I talk to the balloon pilot I get the escort quests.
A bit hard to get this achievement if you can’t kill them :P

Thats the problem , alot of people aren’t very skilled in this game and tend to take years to do 1 simple gauntlet , take for instance the quaggan that expands , took a guy over 2 mins and he got dropped (i was soo happy) , i lost 2g watching this guy kite in circles for eternity it seemed like…its unbearable.

Tonight I thought I would put my big girl panties on and head over to EB. Mind you, I’m not an avid PvP’er, mostly because I’m not very good at it. But what the hell, I digress. I’ve enjoyed following a zerg and watching how others “do it”. (get your mind out of the gutter)
However, this evening I and a handful of others were on a camp and the Big Guy..you know the one with the buff you can’t kill? I started shooting at him and got the “invulnerable…etc…” well, yes my auto attack was on (boo hoo for you guys who think it should be disabled in pvp) I continued to shoot at it while running.
Another player watching thought he would be a smart-goose (yes I said goose :P) and make a crappy comment….I logged off after waiting 30 mins in the queue)
Now, I usually will engage in defending myself since I’m new at it, but really??? Can we help out other people here, especially if you want more people to go in there.

I’ve been playing a Ranger since GW1 and been avoiding the use of axes, swords, etc…Rangers use BOWS kitten
But you’ve def changed my mind, I might start a new build the other way around. I can take a hit with my toughness gear, but dmg output is kittene!

Quite a change in requirements huh? Convenient for Arenanet that small/medium guilds that were used to using that feature now have it taken away from them for a period of time that could be conveniently cut short by… :drumroll:… paying real cash

I wonder how paying real cash shortens the time it takes to access the guild vault.

Cash-gems-gold-guild influence-purchase guild upgrades. Still have to get the commendations though.

gems to cash is so not worth it. The amount that you get is so small that it makes no difference.

I don’t mind farming gold to get the influence but the merit requirement as well???? We’re lucky we get the measly 3k influence on a guild bounty training mission. We kill the same dang bounty…no chest! no merit!

My PC and vid card were upgraded before GW2 even launched! Also exceeding the minimum requirements to play the game. I’ve never had any trouble except for some small lag problems during EB castle. Now my FPS during dragon events goes to 1 o.O ???
Since this last patch the events are simply unplayable and I’m getting crashes constantly. I got to Tequatl last nite on an overflow with about 15-20 people and the lag was ridiculous not to mention the culling problem!

I don’t know why they changed this feature from GW1. It worked wonderfully. We had an alliance of about 11 guilds, each with their own guild leader and officers. We had our own guild chat and alliance chats. It worked beautifully. If we chose to stay as a smaller group with just guildies we were able to do so. If we wanted to do something on a larger scale, we had plenty of alliance members to do that with.
This should have been implemented before the Guild Mission/Bounty features which has made it much harder for smaller guilds to enjoy the content.
I’ve spoken to many smaller guilds to attempt some “alliance” for this content. Most want 100% rep, and leave the guild you’ve spent months building. Taking turns on repping? Got shot down.
I think Anet really screwed the pooch this time.

Axes, GS, and swords…what are we talking about here? The Warrior/Ranger? Oh that’s right, they are out there.
I just want my ranger to use her bows, pets and spirits like we’re supposed to. Tired of rangers getting “overlooked” on the real problems here and the solution is to “just use the axe or GS”..WTF? I’m a ranger!! o.O

Retired my Ranger for a Mesmer in WvW bout 5 weeks ago, haven’t looked back. Although I do regret getting my Legendary on me Ranger though.

Yup, was working on my mats for Legendary, in the meantime been playing my Mesmer while I “wait” for some Ranger love.
Looks like I’ll shelf her again.

I’d really like to think that maybe there was a mistake and they forgot a huge part of the Ranger patch notes.

Dam if I’m gonna pick up a GS…I’m a ranger kitten I want my bow buffs and my spirits and my pets to WORK!!! This is unacceptable, truly ridiculous now.

This patch is laughable. I actually giggled when i saw the Moa and Icon fixes. Now read the Guardian buffs, THERE’s some shizniz going on there!
I’m in total disbelief that once again I was excited about this patch and once again huge let down.

as a mesmer i spend a lot time in my ethereal fields which are very defensive because of chaos armor leap/blast combos.

if you have warrior in party you can always grab his banner for free blast finisher (5).

1. field in game imo is warriors longbows fire field. because of its kitten area of effect ,10 second duration and 10s cooldown (assuming you can fill full adrenaline in 10s).

LOL yea I had someone get mad at me for a confusion combo once while I was playing my mesmer. Great tip on the banner finisher…I never knew that.
I guess I’ll have to play all the professions to really understand this. It sounds like you just see a white ring and see what your finisher does since you can’t really count on it 100%.
I do remember using my healing spring and barrage = got some great healing arrows

Thanks guys, I’ve been reading the table on the wiki re: combo fields and such. It also looks like the necro can do some neat combo fields/life steal skills.
Been practicing alot solo w/my lvl 80 mesmer in WvW. Having a ball with her solo combos.
It just seems there’s more to knowing ahead of time what finisher you can decide to use once you see a field in front of you; ie…ethereal, light, etc…and if it’s a constant.
Also in dungeons, if there’s a way to discuss strategies ahead of time what combos might be advantageous for boss/mobs.
I don’t see alot of posts about this subject on the forums I read, so it might be useful to know what professions have useful combos together in tough situations.

Question for those players who can help me with combo skills. I have a Ranger, and group with my guildies who are close friends. We have been playing together for 7 years or so mostly in GW1. Dungeon runs, etc…
Our group consists of Mesmer, Necro, Guardian and a new Ele friend Occasionally our friend who has a Warrior comes along.
We love dungeon crawls but haven’t quite gotten down the combo skills. I’d love some advice on how to communicate better and how we can utilizie these more effectively as a group. We’re getting hosed in dungeons, and I know we aren’t at our potential. For example, we ran Caudecus Manor and turned into a very long and tedious evening.
My main concern, and yes it’s a nubsauce question, is how to tell without voice communication what fields are being played so I can enhance with say a finisher or blast? Is it possible to tell on UI what I need to play next? Or is it mostly voice communication?
I do have a TS server we use. I’d love some input on those players with usual static groups on how you began to use these combo skills effectively in your groups.
Would appreciate any help or tips. I just feel there’s something I’m not quite getting.

I agree with the OP. Did CM and then Butlers path last night w Guildies, took quite a awhile and was nothing but bottleneck spaces and large groups of mobs w/AOE’s.
We got no enjoyment out of it in spite of our strategies. After awhile we just wanted it over with.
That’s not what I remember about dungeons in GW1. Throwing in 25-30 mobs in one small area that do ridiculous burst damage and the cost of repairs at the end was ridiculous. Not to mention the reward at the end was less than stellar after all that work.
During the run one of my guildies said, “I miss the frog dungeon”…NOW that was fun!

I have to say this build is sick! LOL
As a new mesmer lvl’d to 80 recently, I’ve been floundering around with a shatter build and too shy to go into WvW.
I think the traits confuse me lol, I put them on a spreadsheet so I can look at them all at once…(old memory isn’t so good )
I rebuilt and spent a ton of gold (worth every penny) and tweaked her with your guide. I’m using sceptor/focus in addition to staff since I can’t really get used the the sword focus or torch. Guess my playstyle is different.
But man can I utilize some dmg ! Thanks for this…Much easier for me to use as a shatter/cond build mes!
