I’m glad we got some sort of confirmation on this and not going to worry too much about it. I would love to get a Legendary but hoping their priority right now is fixing alot of broken events, balancing, etc….
I certainly can wait.

Going with the inbetween 1&2.
JP was hard for me, but I’m not really that great at them. Enjoyed it while I could for several hours and only made it to the presents. Never got to see the end.
Nothing better than being out in the environment and have a great big present drop in front of you LMFAO! I giggled like a little girl until me and the hubby opened one and got hosed…was still funny tho!
I soooooo wished there would be Grentchies running around LA stealing presents…that was THE most fun in GW1. Especially while waiting around for groups. Maybe next Wintersday? wink…wink…nudge…nudge Anet
The decor was fabulous…absolutely enchanting and in time with the music I was awestruck! Still would have been nice to see all the main hubs decorated too. No one really spends time in Divinity’s Reach or The Grove that much anymore and it feels empty.
In spite of the fact that the game dropped less than 5 months ago, I think ANET did a great job and gathered data for suggestions for next Wintersday. I’m sure it will be more fabulous than this one.

Still no trigger for this event. Ulfred pats around the cave and kills and gets killed. I’ve got a ton of ice in my inventory but he won’t accept it.
He’ll even spout his speil about helping get blocks of ice.

This is soooo exciting…I just got my Ranger in all exotics and whisper skins!
Tried to abandon her and reroll, but I just couldn’t do it!

Hopefully we’ll have more time during this event to complete it. It takes me alot of time to get the hang of some of the puzzles.
I didn’t get much time to practice or complete the clocktower.

I can’t imagine what LA will be like during the event! Overflow servers on overflow?? With FoTM madness already going on, I wonder if anybody will be able to log in at all?

I’m more than okay spending some more time in the other home cities

It would be nice if they implemented the feature they had in GW1, where you can choose the skin to wear without disrupting stats and such. There was a selection on the profile section of your char to add costumes and select to wear them anywhere!

I’m hoping they have the carnival area open in Divinity’s Reach for Wintersday!

I know this has been bugged for awhile but it’s still not fixed. Tried to progress with my guildies who are all on this part of the story. 3 of 5 got updated after we did it 3 times, but as we tried to do it for the 4th time it got bugged and stuck on the dropped charges part.
Would love an answer or a time for a fix on this!!!

I was truly hoping for the T shirts to be on the shop. We voted a few months ago on some of the designs but haven’t heard anything yet.
They would’ve made a fortune just from me on purchasing those for the holidays! Sure would like some info on that status.

Also they don’t turn toward the target right away, that kind of annoys me when I’m shooting at something and I’m facing the opposite direction. LOL

Great feature, but can it exclude depositing my minis? I forget half the time and “zip” there goes my mini back to the collection bank.

The lag for the event was so bad I couldn’t set off skills and rubberbanded everywhere to where I died multiple times. I have a decent PC that I upgraded for this game with a new graphics card but wasn’t enough I guess.
Finally just logged off.

I have 400 Leatherworker but no way of crafting these new insignias with my shells, the discovery window won’t allow me to use the shells.
Is this not implemented yet or am I doing something wrong.

EDIT: I realize leatherworkers make insignias not inscriptions, but karka shells still not usable.

Standing here with the inspector to Push farther Inland quest and she’s stuck/bugged. Any ETA on it being unstuck??? Rebuilt the bridge and so far that’s been it

Sad, but true all the way around. It’s that “other” game with the gear grind and abyss point system all over again unfortunately…still having nightmares.

Taym, well aware of the pet problem. They don’t hold aggro, cast times are too long, they run amuck if not leashed, and the moving target issue is annoying.
However, as pissed off as I am with this last patch. Ranger is my only lvl 80 and I’m going to try and have some fun with the new content with my useless skills.
Have they fixed the trap “bug”?? Does anyone know? I haven’t logged on since the patch.

Casts confusion…that can actually be fun, but like someone stated, it takes forever for a breath skill to cast on these little guys. Wonder what the CD is on that.
Just add this to the “we’ll fix it someday” list!

I haven’t heard the outcry from players for armor progression? Well, not that many at least.
This would be a shame for casual players like myself and my guild. As it is, we’re just getting around to pooling our gold for exotics and crafting. Like Aion all over again…sigh that game still gives me nightmares.

This definately was a rage inducing befuddlement of blunders for me! But what a time I had. No, I never got to finish it but was okay with that. Although it would have been nice to have more time to practice.
I felt rushed to get it done since we would only have a couple days to do it, life/work committments prevented that and I wanted to participate in the other festivities, not spend what little time I had learning the puzzle.
But all in all, it was fabulous and epic the first time I entered that midieval torture device!! LOL
Would still love to see more of them, for holidays or everyday

It’s not actually on the bridge but right before it, in the clearing. Portia walks over to it. Either it’s gotten buggy, but I had no problem with it last nite. Weird.

I got it done last nite. The flames don’t look like normal flames, just a circle of blue around the area, but does some crazy dmg.

You are an ANGEL! I just went in there for the first time and was like WTF? while I wandered around, then got ganked by like 5 villagers, turned into a ghost then wandered around some more. LOL
I guess I should’ve know with the Mad King “says” game from GW1!

Been using something similiar in PvE with WH and Torch. I like the swift boon for fast getaways and the condition dmg is pretty nice. I agree about engtangled, would be nice to ground target it.
I can stay away from RaO, since it’s probably the best elite we have.
SB still stinks for dmg tho.
Haven’t tried the build in sPvP or WvW yet til I get the hang of it

I just played a warrior for 30 minutes tried a gun an a sword try it then you might complain to every skill is better , i could take two three mobs at level 2 with a Rifle on a warrior.The games name should have been Guild Warriors.

Although I’ve gotten my darling Ranger to lvl 80 and getting ready to shelve her because of obvious reasons, my Murellow is aptly names Ginger, after my Australian Shepherd.

I don’t know what happened, I used to be able to quote a post…but in reply to someone who said Anet thought the SB was OP..LMAO! I know it was sarcarsm, but at least before the NERF we were formidable adversaries…Now we’re just dust catchers.
I actually got excited when I saw a new update today….REALLY? The size of Asuran heads?? CMON!
I think Jon’s last post is the final word on this and we’re not going to get anymore feedback from them about this no matter the amount of begging we do.

Sorry Jon, but that really isn’t what we wanted to hear. Not being “fun” to play isn’t exactly a valid excuse for this nerf, and I didn’t get the memo on the animation problem :/ But it is what it is.
I’m just sorry I’ll have to forfeit all the hours I’ve lovingly played my ranger, and the months I’ve spent dreaming, while waiting on GW2.
Until it’s fixed, I think I’ll reroll as well. I just can’t get the hang of this SB nerf and it’s more disappointing each time I take her out to play, not too mention I’ve steered clear of WvW for fear of being laughed at :P

Yea, I may not be a math genius and calculate the bow strike difference from pre to post patch, but I certainly noticed a difference.
I shook my mouse and stared at the screen after the patch. I thought it was some sort of lag!
Good gawd, what were they thinking? Longbow is certainly kittene, only use it for the barrage during mobs in PvE when hubby’s guardian uses burning, then the SB for some quick deaths. C’mon..really?? You guys nerf the Rangers?? Now QZ is crap too!

I agree with Frog, I’m a female playing a female ranger and I can’t, for the life of me, imagine my battle hardened ranger wielding a…Unicorn? Flowers?
What the hell…I had all the bow skins in GW1…Rotwing…Torment…Destroyer…etc…those were the shizznitz!
I’m not too thrilled with the bow skins so far and was hoping for something truly epic! I think I’ll just pass on this one.

Daily and Monthly achievements — they reset back to zero at the start of each day and month respectively, at midnight UTC (4:00 PM PST/5:00 PM PDT).

Yea, short end of the stick. I guess I could’ve looked this up but I was under the impression they used the Seattle PST/PDT for server resets.

I’m in Arizona, so it’s mountain time 5:40 pm, sept 30. I just dont’ get this

My calendar says it’s still September and I had only 10 kills and a few bites of xp to complete!
