Clearly photoshopped, just look at the inventory slots used: 22/160.
I wanted to believe…
Funny, when I saw Kiel fight, I’m pretty sure she was using guardian greatsword skills, not warrior…
That’s just a diversion to hide the truth, she can’t be trusted….
Vote Evan!
Evon is a Charr. That’s enough not to trust him right there.
Place a buy order, most of the skins can be ordered for 35g. (buyout is closer to 60g) I bought my greatsword earlier today, it took only a few minutes for the order to be filled.
MUCH cheaper than RNG chests.
The Royal Terrace will be a thing, but it’s not the thing you think it is.
The real question is: will phoenix armor be purchasable directly?
Wow, that’s a lot of mouse clicks.
I have 2 Jade tickets sitting in my bank with no intent ever to use them. It would be really nice if I could give them to a guildie who would use them.
Aetherized weapons are already tradeable, so I don’t think it’s too much to ask to made the jade tickets (or unused skins) tradeable too.
I bought my aetherized weapon from the trade house for 37g.
No RNG for me. I have no doubt I made the cheaper and safer decision.
It might be for RP reasons. If you’re in a guild with a non-RP name, you have to choose between displaying that tag and not being able to talk in guild chat.
The ideal solution would be to give every guild a unique channel, all of which could be activated at once.
The Good:
-I’m not really much of a PvP player usually, but aspect arena is pretty fun.
-Aether weapons look amazing.
-The election has made map chat actually worth reading. On my server it seems like there is always a debate going on.
The Bad:
-There isn’t really any new open world content. Dynamic events are my favorite part of the game and I wish there were more of them.
-More RNG chests. (somewhat mitigated by the skins availability on the trade house)
Before the event started, I sided with Kiel because of the rewards, but now, I side with Kiel because Evon’s dialogue is REALLY obnoxious and arrogant. I want to see him LOSE!!!
This is so much like an American election… you don’t vote for the one you like, you vote against the one you hate.
I plan to give Evon just enough to get my achievements done, then give the rest of my stack to Kiel.
I just wish there was a “give 5/10/25 tokens at a time” option. It’s kinda annoying when you have literally hundreds of tokens.
I really wish they’d just make more open world zones with events. We need more variety in lvl80 zones, all we have is snow and undead… how about a Kryta 80 zone?
Definitely going to buy all three.
Does not apply to jade weapons, only the new Aetherized skins.
I understand that’s your personal opinion but before you bash ANet, it may be good to consider that maybe some people prefer this option, thanks.
Who prefers cash for RNG over cash for weapon skins?
Aside from Anet and NCSoft. Are there really players who prefer RNG chests tp a direct sale?
I soloed rank 1 as a guardian with a defensive build and it was pretty easy.
Rank 2 solo is harder than rank 3 with a group, so just get a group and do 3.
I hope they stay invisible.
People like to pick a winner. If one candidate is in the lead, people will think that candidate is better based on popularity. Ballots should be hidden until the event is over.
(I trust Anet not to rig the vote.)
The skin copy idea won’t happen for one simple reason: Legendaries.
Your issue of having to buy multiple sets of the same set of skins even though you only want a single piece could be dealt with by having an option of buying just some pieces of the armor sets.
Then have it disabled for Legendary skins.
Good idea, OP. I’ve been wanting something like this for a wile too.
Now people are posting with relevant user names? This forum has become reddit.
I love this idea.
Why the hell would anyone get Ascended MF gear in the first place?
Not everyone cares about high level fractals and CoF p1 speed runs, and the remainder of content (barring Arah p4) can be done with sub-par gear.
Magic find ascended are great because they give you more magic find than the (probably masterwork) item you’re replacing.
Zenith were clearly designed with heavy armor in mind. I was looking forward to using them on my elementalist, but they just look bad on light characters. :/
They should be disabled outside WvW, or at least there should be a toggle to turn other players’ tags off outside WvW.
If I flip a coin and get heads 10 times in a row, I have skill at coin flipping in the same way I have skill at beating Adnul.
This is the one thing I’ve wanted most since release. Can I get a dev response please about this, and whether it’s something that will or won’t be included at some point?
I liked how the original air ele looked and don’t really care for the new one. So I’d love to see a toggle for it.
I don’t even understand why it was changed to a spider in the first place, were there even any complaints about it?
Bigger advantage for the keys because you can buy all you will ever use in those 4 weeks.
You cannot buy all your WP uses in 4 weeks.
All the keys I will ever use is zero, except for those that drop from daily completion.
Gnash should give us discounts on kites and flutes.
Landslide victory would be certain for either candidate with just one little promise…
Bring back Super Adventure Box!!!
This thread is hilarious.
I’m loving the election so far. We need more events like this one.
Are guild kites bugged for anyone else? I went to the guild armorer to change my kite to a guild kite, and the option isn’t showing.
The main thing that catches my eye and only because of my imagination being a buggy little thing is the possibility of players having a visable influence within the world.
The smartest idea in my opinion is to HAVE EACH SERVER HAVE IT’S OWN WINNER OF THE ELECTION if only to reinforce that the mists connect to alternate worlds and that each server is it’s own reality.
I know it’d take alot of resources to work for both possible outcomes but it’d be the truest sense of a living story.
That might be interesting, since with guesting, players could then take advantage of both.
I don’t think that will really happen though, because it would mean there will be twice the work for every update that deal with Evon or Keil.
It could potentially be more than that. After the first choice, they may (depending on how this plays out) need to design 4 different outcomes, Kiel A, Kiel B, Evon A, and Evon B.
Much easier to have it be game-wide. Plus I would imagine doing it server to server would also cause population shifts as players move to servers with outcomes they favor.
No he doesn’t need to be redone, I found him particularly easy, just keep on trying, I got him around my third try.
If he is easy, would you mind posting an unedited, unbroken video showing you beating him three times in a row? This should be no problem if he’s easy.
Why would I waste my time doing that? To prove to some people who probably tried this once then quit that it’s possible? If you expect me to utilize my time like that, then first you upload a video of you trying twenty times against this guy, then I’ll do it. They already made him easier once, do you guys really lack this amount of skill? It’s not entirely luck, use your signature moves to your advantage.
You made the claim. The burden of proof is on you to prove it.
When you say rejuvenating buffs, what are you talking about?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rejuvenation_Booster
Other health regeneration items (Mango Pies) do not work, but the booster does.
Rejuvenation boosters still work. I managed to beat Adnul last night after several hours thanks to boosters. It’s still pure, dumb luck, but it at least makes your odds slightly better.
Anet should put all kinds of fake off the wall stuff in their DAT files, just to mess with the data miners. Things like a new completely OP gear tier that will cause forum rage, only to find out it’s bull. Or pandas or quaggan genocide or a new currency or intentionally awful gear or mounts or account bound exotic gear boxes for free or…..i mean have a ball with it Anet.
References to MLP-themed flying mounts, and a new dungeon where you help Trehearne defeat Risen Tybalt, who became leader of the undead after Zhaitan’s death.

So just because it involves luck (so does all of them for that matter) it is not possible?
Just keep trying until you beat him. Simple as that.
It should be changed so that it isn’t just luck.
I really don’t like the idea of missing out of rewards and dungeons based on other players actions. I’m all for having options that I can choose for myself though that only affect me.
Beaten him first try, no food. Perhaps i was just lucky, or perhaps all those hours of polymock in GW1 paid off.
Can you beat him consistently? Play him 10 times using the same technique and see if it works. If it does, do share.
It is fully possible to complete it without food buffs.
Can you beat Adnul consistently?
It seems to me he is almost entirely luck, which is a problem. Luck is not “difficult” or “challenging.” It is just chance. It’s fully possible to flip a coin and get heads 1,000 times in a row, doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. If it does, that doesn’t mean you’re awesome at coin flips, it just means you’re lucky. I would rather the minigame focus on skill than luck.
Is there some technique you can use to demonstrate that he can be beat, with repeatable results, to show that skill is the primary factor here?
This topic is a perfect example of how devs are kittened if they do, and kittened it they don’t.
There is a huge difference between “I want a greater variety of ways to get X” and “I don’t want other players to get X.”
HUGE difference.
Anet should continue providing a variety of ways to get items. Keep in mind these achievement chests are not being handed out for nothing. Check out the leader boards, 70th percentile is less than 2000 points. 80th is mostly less than 3000. It’s not as though every player will be running around with thousands of “free” badges and 6 zenith weapon skins.
Imagine the QQ if you actually had to be good at spvp to get a legendary. Guys farming for legendary weapons: fight! You get more badges fighting than jumping. Wvw is watered down pvp and most people are easily defeated if you are more practiced (which you should be if you’re serious enough to get the ultimate shiny).
There would be a ton of QQ from sPvPers because of all the afk players that would join sPvP.
It happened in WoW when they made decent non-raiding gear available in PvP. You’d load up a battleground and 10 to 20% of players on both sides would be afk. It also happened in Age of Conan. Same problem, same reasons.
Having a complete separation of PvE and sPvP, including some skills, was the best thing Anet did for sPvP, and I hope sPvPers are thankful for it.
I bet we’ll get both dungeons back eventually. All this vote will decide regarding dungeons is which one the devs adapt to fit fractals first.
I will laugh hard when Kiel reduces waypoint costs by 1%
1% would still be better than cheaper black lion keys. I will NEVER support RNG boxes bought for gems. If Evon’s bonus was for increased key DROPS from mobs, that might be tempting.
Cheaper waypoints benefit everyone, cheaper RNG boxes only benefit those willing to shell out real cash.
kinda defeats the whole premise of having to do all parts of the game
Not true. Achievement points are gained by doing all parts of the game.
Now a person can get their legendary by doing what they like. Not everyone likes following a zerg around spamming AoE.
Kiel will give us cheaper waypoint costs. That ALONE is enough to vote for her.
Just say no to RNG boxes.
As someone who never PvPs but does the EB jump puzzle a lot, this makes me very happy. Time to cash in my stacks of siege and free up my bank tab!
Since the latest patch, I crash every time I try to enter the EB jumping puzzle zone.
I’ve done the puzzle dozens of times and today was the first I’ve ever crashed there.
I mean the dungeon is suuuuper easy up until the two boss fights. There’s no challenge in it whatsoever, then all the sudden BAM 3 sets of broken armor trying to figure out mechanics?
I had this same problem with the F&F dungeon. Up until the final boss, everything was so easy I was barely paying attention, and then suddenly… “well that escalated quickly!”
