This game has a looking or group tool? I’ve just been using gw2lfg.com
Hmm… if it made 2 lodestones it might have been useful.
I’m still saving up for my necklace.
Thankfully there are no diminishing returns on salvaging or the MF.
I am pretty sure Halla’s mobs do drop loot. I got about 15 moldy bags and some blues the other day from the event.
Bringing it to their attention increases the likelyhood that it will be patched.
I hope it isn’t. The ONLY reason I bought it was because I knew beforehand that I could use it with normal armor. If I lost that ability, I would be reluctant to buy any new “mounts” that came out.
I’m fine with profession-themed armor, but please don’t place limits on it. If I want to mix and match mesmer and necro armor on my ele, that should be my choice.
Sell charged lodestones on the trade house at 1c over vendor price. 0/20.
It wouldn’t do any harm in WvW either. The zergs and their spell effects are always so densely packed together I rarely see anyone’s armor anyway.
I combined 35 times and got 11 clovers and a charged lodestone. I’m fairly pleased with the results.
In Frostgorge Sound near where the dragon spawns there are a load of ice worms. Hit one of the large worms with a ranged attack and then stop attacking. After a few seconds it will throw a slow-moving rock at you. They are very easy to dodge, and the worm is stationary and does no other attacks provided you stay out of melee range so you can finish the achievement with one worm in about a minute.
They got 10 Laurels??? Ugh… I was told on these forums that Jan wouldn’t give any, which is why I completed the monthly instead of waiting.
Having a separate WvW monthly would be more than welcome.
Question: Why do you need world completion? The only thing it gives you is an item required to craft legendaries…
I think you may have answered your own question.
Although some of us want to do it just because seeing that 100% is ever so satisfying.
Removing WVW from map completion and PvE monthlys would be ideal, but if not, weekly color rotation would be massively welcome.
That is my problem. I am at 99% missing a couple POIs and Vistas being held in Red. My server hasn’t been Red for a long time. It is frustrating.
That’s my same problem too.
Removing WVW from map completion and PvE monthlys would be ideal, but if not, weekly color rotation would be massively welcome.
Here lies Miranda.
She abandoned her duties to the Vigil to run Citadel of Flame a million times in search of personal wealth, and now Zhaitan controls everything south of Hirathi.
May the gods have mercy on her soul.
If a second player runs up and hits the champion once while you’re fighting it, does that mean you’ve been griefed?
That was my first thought when I saw the title.
I love my Melandru’s Gaze and dual Moonshanks. I just wish eles had an out of combat weapon swap so I wouldn’t have to lose 2 inv slots.
I found 4 this week, all of them blues that I already had.
I can’t remember the last time I found a yellow, other than through MFing greens.
Smoking is the new media taboo in the United States. Tonnes of people smoke, but you would not know it by watching US television. If Gw2 added content that glamorized smoking, you can be sure that someone would make it a personal crusade to punish the company. You can also be sure there would be plenty of scavengers and parasites waiting to blow the whole thing out of proportion, so they can cash in politically and financially. Tobacco is the new gateway drug! Thank your lucky stars they allow alcohol in the game!
LOTRO has had smoking for years and I haven’t heard any complaints. You can even grow tobacco.
From dulfy’s transcript:
we don’t want you to use AoE skills on single target mobs."
The problem here is that, for staff eles and staff necros, we use aoe skills on single targets because we don’t have many single target spells. Ele staff fire 2 and Necro staff 2,3 are all AoE skills I use in every fight because they are a necessity.
Orr is dead because everyone’s been filtered into the Fractals.
I thought Orr was dead because of Zhaitan’s corruption.
ba dum tish
Kill/Deaths ratio is something we would like to avoid having. We don’t want people changing the way they play because they would rather protect their KDR instead of helping their allies in the game. We want people playing and fighting, not worrying about deaths impacting their stats.
THANK YOU!!!!!
People obsessively trying to maintain their K/D ratio was probably the most aggravating thing about PvP in Age of Conan. I played SOOOO many PvP matches where the other team would see our guild tag and immediately drop rather than fight us, and a few matches where some of my own team would drop when they saw the server’s top PvP guild’s tag on the other team. K/D is the worst.
I actually like the super fast respawns in certain areas. The spawns in Grenth’s temple for example are quick enough for continuous multi-mob combat without breaks (provided that I’m alone, which is usually always except when the event triggers), which makes my necro’s loot bags happy.
I agree fully with this, and I am hoping they bring back this option asap. Every time I find a new piece of not-my-class armor, I always preview it and if it looks good I send it to one of my characters who CAN use it.
All removing preview does is increase hassle needlessly.
This would be awesome. There are a few NPCs that have whips. The moment I saw one, I wanted one for myself.
I didn’t get to see any of the events. I wish they would have repeated hourly so more people could have seen them.
Key drop rates seem like they keep being reduced. During headstart, I was actually looting more keys than chests from random mob drops.
A few days after headstart, I would get a key maybe once or twice a week. Lately, I have seen zero keys drop in the past month.
I was considering going for the legendary staff, but my halloween scythe fits me so perfectly…
Am I crazy for wanting to get a legendary so I can transmute it and get a red named scythe?
I would love it if there were an option to turn off other players’ spell effects.
In large boss fights, my whole screen will often turn into a sea of yellow and orange flashes, making it impossible to see the boss and nearby mobs, red ground circles, and other players’ boon circles. It’s not a huge problem most of the time, but in larger fights it just looks a mess, especially if I’m playing melee and can’t even see my own character.
I support this, even though I’d probably never use it.
I don’t think I’d ever use this, but I support other people’s ability to do so if they wish.
I have pretty good lvl 80 gear too, and I’m still playing. The game is fun for me; I don’t need a carrot on a stick to motivate me.
I don’t see a problem with it, considering your account name is visibly linked to all your characters, and because the usual ways people grief each other in MMOs are impossible here.
It would only be a problem in normal MMOs, where someone might ninja loot something and then change their name to get away with it.
Downscaling is fine in 99% of areas, but there are a few places where it downscales you to , say, 40 but the mobs around are 43.
Should it be scaling you lower than nearby mobs? I’m not sure if this was designed on purpose or if it’s a bug. It’s not a huge problem, but it seems like a bug to me.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way.
I still carry around my [Scriptures of Dwayna] in my inventory, so many levels later. There are certain items that just have sentimental value that I just can’t part with.
The price would be fine for orange gear, but it’s just standard yellow. The stats should reflect the cost, imo.
I agree, there should be no repair costs for PvP, but if you’re killed by a PvE mob in a PvP zone, you should still have to repair for that.
Make the Cursed Shore karma farming area extremely difficult.

There is an area of the Cursed Shore that I’m sure we’re all aware of. You can rack up mass amounts of karma (and yellows and crafting mats) in a very short time due to there being a high concentration of short events that respawn quickly.
Due to this, the area is extremely overpopulated, so much so that the area’s difficulty is completely trivial. There’s no challenge to the events, you just stand there with the 49 other players and spam AOE and get mass amounts of loot and karma an an extreme rate for no real effort.
I think that, when high concentrations of players are detected, events should get A LOT harder. Every enemy that spawns should be at least veteran level, and there should be more of them. A lot more of them. Also, these veteran and boss enemies should have AOE, ground spam and CC abilities galore. I want to see red circles everywhere.
While this post is specifically about Cursed Shore, I think it can be freely applied to all zones. Are the centaurs of Queensdale really such a big threat when they lose every battle?
I’m not so sure this is a great idea. It would divide up the playerbase and the “official” instances would become ghost towns aside from a few newbies and the guildless.
This would be fine for towns though. There have been a few times my roleplaying group has purposely gone into an overflow zone to use a tavern for a private event that would have otherwise been packed with players. But I do not think PvE zones should be split up.
However, I agree that having “Hardmode” PvE instances might be a good thing. I would love to see an instance of each zone where every normal mob is a veteran, every veteran is a group boss, every group boss is a world boss, and every world boss is… hmm, a universe boss, I guess? That would be a lot of fun, but it should be a public zone, accessible to anyone.
This I fully support! More customization is always better.
Eles do need a bit of a buff.
I’ve been to Orr on a couple of my characters, and in comparison to other classes elementalist feels like hard-mode to me. It’s noticeably more difficult, and my down skills are pretty useless. As a comparison, I can take out an enemy almost from full health using my guardian’s downed skills. There’s no way I’m doing that on my ele unless I’m lucky enough to have my greater fire elemental up when I’m downed.
I’d say slight buffs across the board, and a big boost to down skills would be in order, only enough to bring them up to the level of other classes.
It would help roleplaying a lot if we had a dice roll command.
Type /roll, and it will generate a random number between 1 and 100, which would be broadcast to nearby players.
Type /roll x, and it would roll between 1 and x.
It would be really spiffy if we could change characters hair styles and color.
