So I have been playing thief more recently and in most cases, at least more than half the time, I get the boss aggro, which mean I can hardly backstab them, also in some other cases we LoS a boss so backstab is out of question.

So 2 questions,

1. Any reason why I am getting the aggro, I am using a standard 6/6/0/0/2 build with Berserker and Scholar?

2. Is sword better when facing an enemy? I remember reading somewhere that when you can’t backstab, you’re better off with sword/pistol?

Stealth will cause mobs to stop targeting you unless they’re channelling an attack. In that case, they’ll finish the channel and then walk off if you’re still in stealth by then. Remember that you don’t need to be directly behind a target to land a proper backstab – just standing by their side is enough.

If you feel uncomfortable with 6/6/0/0/2, you can try 5/6/0/0/3 instead. You lose some DPS but the extra 3 initiative is pretty helpful for newer thieves.

An anti-seller, eh? I don’t sell paths myself, but if it doesn’t hurt you, why kitten about it? Just have your own fun and don’t infringe on other peoples’ business, or antagonise anyone/at others’ expense.

Whether the graphical details can match that of Skyrim with ENB, hmm… I’ll give it a shot.

Based on my 10 minute pony spam session against indestructible golems I’m 90% certain that they’ve put the 10s recharge on FS.

Without amulet, sigils, runes, and traits my auto attack on SB ranged from 123 to 136 and when frost spirit procced (usually off CD ) I got about 140-146 ticks at the same intervals as i got the effect from other spirits which we know to have 10 second recharge.

And on LB 2 and axe offhand 5 I only got one proc per cast.

PS. They really need to put back the steady weapons to pvp so people can test properly. >_>

This is a horrible use of time and effort on Anet’s part. Scrap the dungeon police idea, and instead allocate those resources to programmers so that these issues can simply be addressed in a more permanent way.

In other words: Fire the Game Security team and hire new programmers to fix all the bugs.
