I take my eyes off this forum for a few days and suddenly there’s an influx of BHBs and QQers. Hmm, more entertainment, I guess.

Use melee weapons
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
All monsters in P2 are considered Undead by the game, just as gravelings in AC are considered Ghosts. Belka and Brie, however, are also considered Inquest, so if you have a Mad Scientist sigil it will stack with the Undead sigil.

Do you know that leveling up while downed rallies you?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Thanks for the reply! :-) So .. you equip two melee weapon sets and take a ranged weapon with you, “just in case” your team doesn’t play so well?
And aren’t there any bosses or mobs that are better dealt with by using ranged attacks? I can’t remember anyone fighting Giganticus Lupicus in Arah in melee range, for instance ..
Lupicus is actually easiest in melee once you know his tells because his most dangerous attacks (his single-target projectile, which moves extremely fast and is hard to avoid, and his AOE spray in phase 2) are basically totally negated at close range. The moves he gets as a replacement (the kick in phase 1 and the swipe in phase 2) do a ton of damage but are also highly telegraphed and easy to avoid.
Since pugs typically do not know these tells they opt for what seems like the safer route, which is basically ranging him and letting him repeatedly down people while you res them. It is slow and unreliable but it’s a better alternative than watching your entire pug get wiped out by a single swipe.
IIRC:
1. The kick has a very short telegraph animation, but he turns to face the target a second before he actually kicks.
2. The phase 2 spray, while seemingly random, actually attempts to hit specific targets by focusing a large number of the projectiles at their position. It is by no means totally negated simply by being close to him.

1 and 2: Use them all, there’s no point in keeping them.
3: Continue Coins will come in handy for when SAB returns (unless you already have the Infinite CC). Blade Shards can be traded in for some greens at Labyrinthe Cliffs, or used for Spinal Blade backpieces if you have a massive pile of them. I urge you to keep the shards. As for the keys, use them or trash them. I believe the Tri-color Chest is still in Kessex Hills but I could be wrong.
4 and 5: Personally I delete them, but if you can see yourself crafting multiple ascended weapons in a short period of time I suggest holding on to them. That way you’ll only have to deal with Dragonite supply.
6: If you’ve got this piling up you already know what it’s for, don’t you? 2 infusions of the same tier can be crafted into 1 of the next tier, 1 + 1 = 2, 2 + 2 = 3 and so on. The cost of each tier increases exponentially though.
7: These are really only useful in Dredgehaunt Cliffs where you can unlock some dwarven tombs to trigger some events, but that’s about it. I’d trash them in a heartbeat.

You have piqued my interest enough for me to step out of the shadows to ask you a few questions.
You say that you would use the wall in situations that almost necessitate it, but can you name me seven encounters where a WoR would be needed?

Who can resist lootbags that walk up to you screaming for you to take their contents?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
It’s terrible gameplay, imo.
Stacking favors goldgain, but who in their right minds would want a game which is designed for entertainment less enjoyable to play so that they can make more virtual cash?
You’re literally skipping the fun content to make more gold, while in many cases forcing the group to do the same. If you don’t enjoy the content, why the hell are you playing it in the first place?
Because we use said content as a stepping stone to further goals/aspirations/successes that are more fun? Or maybe you’re making an unsupported generalisation that all of us don’t enjoy doing dungeons quickly? Sheesh.

I hope we get some new dungeons with LS Season 2. New maps, new design opportunities. I’ve got some ideas but I’m not sure if they’d be well-received.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I think it’s because Aetherpath is hardly ever run. But then again so is SE P2. Personally I think the lesser-done paths should be used, to throw in that little bit of extra challenge.
How little is little? I don’t know, but I think the speedclearers would have a pretty good idea of that.
Also, should teams be allowed the chance to make it to the end of the dungeon with less than 5 players alive? If the “once dead you’re out” rule is implemented some paths can be impossible to complete unless they revive, which could complicate things. Unless they’re forced to sit out the dungeon.

Nah don’t go back to it now, it’s terrible :P
It was once amazing, but fell victim to being dragged in an awful direction and right now they’re trying to salvage it.
It was terrible when I played too (5 years ago), but the nostalgia is too stronk :(
I feel like the new combat system has much more depth to it, but I think things may be dying too fast there, especially with lv 90 weapons. It’s insane.
But then again no one likes beating on 200+ of the same old meatsacks that take so long to kill. :p
I see what you mean.
The problem is that the entire game was designed for the former primitive click-and-wait combat system, but when they rolled out EoC they didn’t change everything accordingly. When they released it, everything was in chaos and it was overwhelming how many things didn’t work, how many mobs could get 1-hit and such. An implementation like that… the game was not prepared for. Action bar combat definitely has more depth, but I don’t think that there would have been a practical way for it to make its way into RS.
On the upside though, the beta for a revamped version of the old system is coming very soon – maybe you might want to check it out? It’s going to co-exist with EoC but I don’t think I want to know how complex it’s gonna get.
PS: We reeeeally should take this elsewhere or my FC will go back up to 10 minutes again. :D

Hell yeah, that’s something that I thought they should have implemented a while ago.
Actually something even better:
On a game I played for a while, Runescape, people started to really get fascinated with speedclearing in dungeoneering. Clans (guilds) emerged where people had to pass trials, people sold/bought floors (paths), went for records and more. Early on, Jagex added a timer that displayed at the end of a path with all of the other statistics such as % of rooms opened/% of mobs killed etc. Here’s an example:
http://i.imgur.com/keSNBcG.png
I’ve thought that this should not only be implemented, but separate rewards based off of the same concept. Your suggestion is basically one in the same. =)
They improved on the timer so you can now see it counting. :D
Also, KILL STEALER.

Oh stop trying to be so high and mighty.
People stack because they don’t have to deal with the bosses mechanics and can just mash buttons.
Quoting myself from a month ago:
OT:
I would say that it is not stacking itself that made players bad, but rather bad players didn’t understand why they were stacking and thus gave it a bad rep. They seem to believe that stacking will magically destroy the boss without them taking any damage, when in reality it’s really the other way round. They’re completely missing the point.
Stacking against a boss is usually done to facilitate Fiery Rushes (I think), otherwise there is no point in doing so. Where stacking really shines is when it’s used to group up a bunch of trash mobs using line of sight so you can blind them with a single Black Powder, share boons and pick anyone who goes down with ease.
You’re beating on something that you fundamentally misunderstand, and we’ve seen that happen too many times to really care.
