Believe me, that happens to me on a regular basis.

Dungeon Forum Elitists, answer my call!there’s a time and a place for a phalanx warrior. ascalonian catacombs is not one of them.
That time and place is when you’re in a pug that doesn’t otherwise stack Might, AC is no exception. The point I’m making (and got him to expose) is he’s unwilling to be a team player. Granted he was playing with bads, but I don’t think it’s a long shot to assume he does the same with any pug.

5 skins. I’m not big on fractals, and I’ve lost track of how many runs I’ve done, but I’ve never had duplicate skins. Mine came in the order: Longbow, Sword, Shortbow, Greatsword and Dagger.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
It took me 26 minutes to kill the Malevolent Memory from Hidden Arcana using two bears, a longbow and shortbow (I mostly used the shortbow) and Omnomberry Pie and no vortexes except to remove the shield.

PS: Pets deal full damage to the Memory.

Use, or provide others with, any “hack,” “cheat,” “exploit” or “mod”;
Dub and frifox are still around, make of it what you will. Also, SweetFX.
Use, or provide others with, any service related to the Game, including but not limited to:
any service that interacts with the Software;
As far as I remember, the DPS meter simply reads values from the memory. Grey area, since ANet hasn’t said anything specific about memory reading.
Knowingly affect the Service, the Game, Content or Software via any bloatware, malware, computer virus, worm, Trojan horse, spyware, adware, crimeware, scareware, rootkit or any other program installed in a way that executable code of any program is scheduled to utilize or utilizes processor cycles during periods of time when such program is not directly or indirectly being used;
Like others have said, this bit is worded so vaguely that I could be banned just for launching the game.
This comes up occasionally on the forums, I’m pretty sure they’ve explicitly stated that DPS meters are verboten. The search tool sucks though so I don’t want to dig through the forums to try to find an example.
And I’m pretty sure they didn’t.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I really do find it highly amusing when people talk about something like they know it, but they don’t even have all the facts on hand, nor do they have any solid evidence to back their claims. Why? Because it’s an illusion of knowledge they’re basing their arguments on, and not simply ignorance.
If you can convince me that Dub and frifox’s DPS meters are illegal, I will pay you 5g.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Ok, if you say so.. I will have to make a golden one then… And sell those 3 colors that I have, cause it costs 10 and not 1…
Don’t. You can use the cores to infuse your Tempered Spinal Blades for a low price.

I’m calling it. Next week will be all about gimmicky unstackable bosses that require PTV heroes and Nomad healers.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
You do more dmg when your initiatives are higher than 6.
That’s a trait, but yeah, using D/P to stealth causes you to drop below that threshold and lose the 10% modifier.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
If the wiki’s power coefficients are correct, Cloak and Dagger pulls ahead when the mob is above 25% HP. Heartseeker below 50% has the same power coefficient as Cloak and Dagger, but Cloak and Dagger has a higher base hit. It wins out only slightly in damage, but applies 3 vuln and stealth, all for 6 initiative.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
It costs 9 initiative to enter stealth using D/P compared to 6 with D/D, and let’s not forget that Cloak and Dagger hits harder than Heartseeker above 25% and applies vulnerability too.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
D/P burns more a lot initiative when trying to stealth compared to D/D, as well as having lower DPS due to longer skill use times. It’s handy for skipping though.

Just when Magic Find came out there were already multiple guides suggesting the exact same thing…. So don’t worry about your ecto-prices.
I’m pretty sure when MF first became a thing, you couldn’t salvage Ectos.
Ectos became salvageable for a variety of reasons later (and one of them was an alternate method to boost MF). I’m unsure of the dates, but I’m POSITIVE you couldn’t salvage Ectos for quite a while after MF became an account wide stat.
But you are correct that this method has been out in the wild for a long time and was not a secret so I wouldn’t worry to much about this post and Ecto prices.
Ectos were made salvageable into Crystalline Dust to relieve the lack of supply caused by the patch that fixed the Lyssa farm nearly 2 years back. It had nothing to do with Magic Find.

Let’s see if my patch notes stock can spare some for this thread… ah. There we go.
- Added a new elite skill for necromancers: Bump Dead Thread. This skill instantly crashes the Guild Wars 2 forum servers due to the incredible speed at which it bumps dead threads. Revived dead threads will attract
ForumMordrem Trolls that are hostile to the necromancer. Has a chance of attracting Moderators instead of Trolls.
- New condition introduced: Flood Control. This condition is inflicted by Moderators and prevents the necromancer from summoning more than one thread in one activation. Upon hitting 25 stacks afflicted targets suffer a permanent forum ban. Stacks duration and intensity.

In other words:
“fix stacking, its broken and i have no idea what im talking bout”
that aimed at me or OP?
EDIT: my point being your comment sounded so childish, i’m wondering if YOU know what you are talking about
(there are many bosses blatantly meant to force you to maneuver, where people have found spots where you can just stand still and stack and win. This is clearly not intended.)
So if you respond to this, please make it constructive instead whatever that last comment was.
You don’t know the original intent behind stacking, and what you suggested basically makes it very difficult for people to melee bosses, since they all inevitably end up near each other. People actually stack on each other in front of the boss so that if the guardian puts up a consecration (as an example) they’re all guaranteed to be within the area. What would happen to them if your idea was implemented? Are all bosses to be ranged then? You’re not fixing what you think you want to fix, you’re creating a new problem entirely. Your “stack to win” bit further exemplifies your lack of understanding, much like the pugs that I see in corner stacks still even though the sole reason to do so for many bosses is gone.
I concur with Nike’s last paragraph – make new bosses, introduce interesting mechanics for us to test our mettle against. Make us all die for all I care. We’ll learn, we’ll return and we’ll flatten it somehow.
