Some have suggested that we need to see all this loot we get in order to feel some sense of satisfaction. Personally, I’d be satisfied if all my luck was auto-consumed, all rares and below auto-salvaged, auto-deposited and auto-compacted. I’m perfectly happy seeing the loot flash by on the right side of the screen.
Edit: And I’ve suggested as much in the QoL suggestions thread, before anyone suggests it.
There is actualy a genre that works like that sounds like clicker games would be right up your alley.

Is there a gem store item schedule? For example, on my console there’s a clear time of the month each month that items rotate in the discounted or free sections for my subscription. I know which days to login and see what’s available or when I should keep funds in there in order to make purchases.
Edit: I’m mainly concerned with when new skins are added.
Is there a calendar that I should use or will this ever become a calendar?
They need to make it clear when a item you really want to get goes on sale… Had I known they’d add a helmet with the ice armor, I would of bought it.
Good news the ice crown is still in the gem shop, however you cant wear it with the outfit tho.
I spent 3 hours trying to solo the arrowhead champ (at a hero point) with a new build last month,
And that’s way to long to be trying to monopolize a mob in this game and chasing off other people.
It’s not your mob. It’s not your champ. And it’s definitely not yours for 3 hours. Especially a hero point champ that other people want. Frankly, it’s selfish to think that a champ is all yours for 3 hours and no one else who needs or wants it should join in for the kill.
Asking for 3 mins of testing is now ‘monopolizing’. I’m asking for a favor, not demanding copyright. Get over yourself dude.
I said it took 3 hours to get even 3 mins of someone not interrupting after repeatedly asking the specific people. I even helped countless people clear the champ then asked to be to myself to test, in which people ignored and continued to bother me, even after they cleared the champ, which i know they did, because i helped them to do it.
Quite franky you don’t read. And quite frankly it’s people like you i respect the least in this game. I asked for a courtesy. It’s a kitten move to continue to purposely interrupt after I’ve already helped them clear the champ.
Hell I’ve even had people follow me around the map, which is annoying because its hard to find taxi’s to other servers when someone is being a ass in the middle of the night which is OPPOSITE prime time. Quite frankly its unscientific to use one situation to determine if a build is good or not. So expecting for test on literally the easiest mobs in the game (that includes dungeon trash) is quite lacking. But that says more about the people who think that’s more than enough, than it does me.
Molten boss fractal got a champion you can solo mate first fight so dont take long at all to get to
What AstralPoring is getting at is also what you say:
It’s sometimes better to have content that caters to a certain subset of players that asked for it than not having it.
You can apply that to raids, but also to a easier raid version. Raids are not going to disappear because of an easier version, and that challenge and the rewards for doing so will stay. Same way that storymode dungeons didn’t affect explorable dungeons badly.
I’ve never been against an easier raid version under some precise circumstances:
1. No LIs – None!
2. No other raid specific rewards.
3. No magnetite shards.
4. White, blue, greens and let’s say 2 rare items as reward.
5. Developing of raids are not getting delayed by the implementation of such an easy mode. Take developers from the LS and give them a copy of the raid. Of course, one raid developer should be there to help out answering questions and stuff. But I tell you something. This won’t solve any issues of the little crowd of people complaining because it’s not the content itself, it’s the rewards people are greedy for.
Well we can make it easier just put in what you suggest then the rest of the raid rewards go into reward tracks for wvw and spvp no time delayed on raids at all bud.
You must also hold the heart above lumber camp under divinty soldiers control
There are many weapons in the game for which there are no skins at all.
eg Engineers Flame Throwers,Elixir gun, Mortar.
Im not that familiar with the other classes so there may be more, but Id pay heaps for skins for the above, even if they are only available from the gem store.
Well those are not weapons but enginer kit skills.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Metrica_Province
scroll down and you can see map with all the hearts etc
Money talks guys and gals.
If Anet is making outfits it’s because we are buying them.
Direct your purchases to influence future content.
You are right, but when is the last time ANET made a new skin set? I genuinely don’t know. Its hard to vote with your wallet when there is nothing to vote for if you know what I mean.
So you bought all the armor skins in the gemshop already?
They do come back from time to time and if anet saw kitten we sold 40000 chaos gloves the day they came back, maybe people really like armor skins.
I consider that an interesting feature of the game. Most just have a “increase movement spell/buff” and you just run. GW2 feels a bit like parkour, where you’re evading mob attacks, leaping forward and over obstacles to keep enemies out of range, teleporting, stealthing, etc, all to keep your speed momentum.
Is there any major MMO that has implemented mounts that make you invulnerable against attacks of mobs?
Don’t you think anet will include mechanics that make it difficult or prevent people from just riding through hordes of enemies? It’s terribly likely that the mounts will have movement and/or even utility skills. They will probably enable the players to do much more things than just leaping forward. Much more things to add to that ‘parkour feeling’.
And this is diffrent to what we have now? my thief dont leap forward it rushes and gain swiftness.
All these much more things can be added without adding mounts.
None of you has made any argument that makes it more equitable to not have race matter (at least in the story!). On the contrary, it’s like you are defending having less variety, “because”.
If the race mattered, we would have less variety. All warriors would be Charr or Norn, all Rangers would be sylvari, all engis would be Asuras. That’s an example of course, we might have ended with a different race/class pairings, but we would end up with those. That is exactly why race doesn’t matter buildwise.
Still, more emphasis on player character race should be made in LS and personal story,
This is an assumption not based in fact.
Its an exaggeration but the basis is true that people will chose to play the race that is objectively stronger and synergies best with their class. Unless all racial skills are perfectly balanced (unlikely) then racial skills cant be worth using in combat at all because race stop being cosmetic.
What he actually said was:
If the race mattered, we would have less variety. All warriors would be Charr or Norn, all Rangers would be sylvari, all engis would be Asuras. That’s an example of course, we might have ended with a different race/class pairings, but we would end up with those.
And this is what I objected to. We don’t actually know that an improved Race would correspond with only one class. That is the assumption that I am objecting to.
It dont matter if an improved race is best in slot for 1 class or 2 or 8 as long as it is less then the 9 we how now its a down garde in the system.
For the first time ever, when capping the courtyard circle, once we killed all the foes the circle didn’t turn blue and start capping. Tried to /gg and respawn but to no avail. Ended up resetting the fractal but it was fine the next try. Anyone else had this happen?
Was your shaman npc with you or was it dead somewere back on the way to middle?
Well if they did this then you could only mix and match the new gemstore outfit armor pieces with other new outfit gemstore armor pieces coming out in the future.
The reason for that is all the armor pieces we have up till they make this change dont share common attachment points on heavy medium and light.
So if people are happy with starting over on skin collection I bet anet could do just that.
But sadly I dont think the playerbase would agree to that.
So you are telling me that it is impossible and/or way too time consuming to take the 3d model of an already existing outfit, cut it into 6 pieces and use the already existing standard tools and procedures they used to create all the other armors in the game?
Really?
Yes it seems it is or dont you think anet would have done it by now if it wasent?
The answer from Anet on that topic makes no sense:
What is to do for an outfit?
- adjust it for every raceWhat is to do if you make the same outfit just as six different armor pieces?
-adjust it for every raceSAME exact amount of work required!
They always tell us that they somehow need to adjust the split outfit to light, medium, heavy armor type. That makes no sense! Your outfit doesn’t do that either!
An elementalist can wear a super heavy looking balthasar outfit, a warrior can wear a wedding dress in battle. That argument that we need to adjust outfits, when they are converted into single armor pieces to the different armor types makes absolute no sense at all.
It’s a strange and very lame excuse and I don’t know why they refuse doing it, considering it’s the single most thing fashionwars players (probably the people that buy the most gems) want.
Anet could make so much money….
Well if they did this then you could only mix and match the new gemstore outfit armor pieces with other new outfit gemstore armor pieces coming out in the future.

Yea on specific maps sure, on the maps we have now people would start complaning that them maps be to small we want bigger maps.
No I would guess they dont want people to have more then 5 bank guilds really.
Since it negates buying bank/bag upgrades for account/characters.
I belive sometime bettwen now and 2120
Again when did you do it on all your characters the day before?
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Bloodstone_Crystals
respawn time?
Has anyone gotten a sense of how long they take to respawn? In my experience, They are not just a daily reset, there is a delay before they are available again. Seems to be less than 24 hours, but not as little as 12. Maybe 18 hours? Adeira Tasharo (talk) 23:35, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
You can easily check this yourself by harvesting for example winter berries one hour before your dailys reset then login after reset or as early you can the next morning and see they have not respawned yet.
Edit
This is ofcourse guessing that it work the same from harvested nodes as it do from boss chest.
We dont know it do but one would assume so since anet made it unable to do on legions of alts for nodes, then why not boss chests aswell
(edited by Linken.6345)
going by this thread Ley Line Sparks, Airship Oil and Pile of Auric dust are currencies why arent they in the wallet?
Same with lw s3 stuff its already know that we can have an npc that exchange pristine fractal relics to normal so could have the same for these to unbound magic.
There is already a new fractal in the making process + other old ones to be revamped.
After a while I realised my dps was bad and started to focus more and more on healing. Teamcontent got more difficult, playersize of groups increased – I had to adapt my build step by step.
It’s the same here. If you are not dumb or lazy, you will already realize that your damage is awful when using non-serious/trash builds in dungeons. Most of the typical GW2 players are just not interested in progressing and increased difficulty.
Dungeons have those if you take a proper look, AC P1 & 3 are easier than 2, TA up is easier than fwd, CoF 1 is a joke, while 2 is still easy and 3 a harder one. Then you get to HotW, CoE and finally to Arah.
For new players there is so much to explore and to get better, I don’t think you find a better situation in GW1. Even there are things you have to do over and over again and not as much to explore. Most of the GW2 players aren’t the people you are describing here. They want to have loot in the first place, “play how they want” and many of the give up after wiping to a boss more than 3 times within 5 minutes and I’m not talking about raids, I’m talking about dungeon bosses.
Why no mention of Caudecus’s Manor and Sorrow’s Embrace you dont consider them easy or hard at all?
Well keep posting about it and dont cry when anet delete said dungeon path.
This is the most absurd thing I have read in a while. Lets really break this one down.
Your saying Anet cares so much about my complaints, that they would remove dungeons because of them? Obviously I would complain even more about that. The only way any of that makes sense, is if Anet enjoys seeing me complain. But even if that were the case, they would get 100x more complaints per manhour spent, by releasing new dungeons and nerfing power necro.
People complained about last boss fight in twilight arbor forward up.
Not the whole path just last boss it had endless spawning spiders that made boss very hard to do compared to the other paths in TA.
What did anet do they added a path and made the trubblesome path vanish.
They dident care that the 3 sylvaris under the boss in the story of said dungeon
While Faolain has been defeated and driven out of Twilight Arbor, others of the Nightmare Court seek to move into her domain and take over. Her former allies and lieutenants conspire and compete to seize her old domain, and control the secrets she left behind.
Now somehow only 2 of those 3 are represented in the explore mode.
Since they wont be adding any new paths going by past experience they would just make the trubblesome paths vanish.
Is there daily cap on blood rubies?
I’ve tried using these two toons first after daily reset but still not getting blood rubies chests. In fact , these two toons have never gotten those chests. Just weird.
when did you do your other characters the day before?
s3 materials dont reset at daily reset if you do them very late in the day.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Bloodstone_Crystals
Im not sure if the node cap is tied into the cap you experience from halbion chest but it might.
On The WvW map Eternal Battlegrounds I witnessed a rare sight. The Sun and Moon both in the same position in the sky. The sun is rising in the West, which is clearly backwards, while the Moon was setting also in the west.
How do you know maybe in tyria the world rotate around the moon but the sun rotate counter around tyria?
Yes I really hate that A-Net is forcing me to do achievements that I care nothing about and don’t really want to do. Not including enough Mastery points on the HoT maps themselves to finish all the masteries is a bad decision on their part. In order to get the last 12 mastery points I need to finish the last mastery I have to do achievements, and I do not like doing achievements. Why should I be forced to do a part of the game I don’t want to do to get my legendary short bow? A-Net please I know you can find challenging ways to add more mastery spots on the maps themselves so those of us who don’t like do the achievements don’t have to. It is like telling every play you must do raids or you must play wvw or pvp. Let us play our way.
Do you mean, perhaps, Activities?
I believe there are an excess of Mastery Points to attain; more than enough to finish all Mastery Tracks, with several left over.
Since they are talking about a legendary short bow Im not sure but I guess its map completing?
Or they need to get more mastery points in core tyria to unlock legendary crafting maybe.
it would mate its 5 times nor time consuming then making it one story fits all.
Yeah, no. Tweaking the dialogue or characters in one scenario depending on race is not the same as making 5 separate scenarios. Even making the tasks/approaches different is not the same as “5 times” more work.
Would it be more work? Yeah. Would it make players feel more appreciated and their choices have more weight? Definitely. I’d welcome even small nods to who my character is and the choices he’d made. Heck, I’d love it if my character even behaved a little more in-character instead of like a human all the time.
So if you write 1 line on a piece of paper or 1 line on 5 pieces of paper, you dont make 5 times the work.
I would like to hire you mate.
Do you think that any scenario only consists of those class-specific parts? Or that creating a story requires only writing dialogue?
oh we want class specific now aswell thats 45 combiations then even more work.
And mostl likely yes to point out class or race it would have to be in text or voice I would imagen.
Both that add as many combination as there is class/race so extra work.
You do know that you spawn the wyvern or any of the bloodstone crazed creature by killing same kind of mob as the one you want to spawn right?
We argue because some of us are more interested in being Anet’s shield than pushing them to fix broken content.
Well keep posting about it and dont cry when anet delete said dungeon path.
so has anybody received their LI
No and they wont either since the compesation is a ascended armor box and transmutation charges.
That and mesmer dps aint all that great.
it would mate its 5 times nor time consuming then making it one story fits all.

Maybe its time for a single player game OP
Vinceman you are very wrong. The 3/5 times I encountered that bug was full clearing trash mobs before hand as a solo run. You are wrong, p2 is legit broken, and every time a player like you down plays a game breaking bug, you are enabling the terrible support that dungeons have experienced for half a decade
What support are you talking about its abandoned content it gets no support.
I understand the feeling that it’s cheating to buy gold even via the legit company provided method. I, like you, am livid at gold sellers.
However, it is designed into the game economy and is meant to dissuade illicit gold buying, which is far worse for the game as the vultures and leeches strip mine the game for gold in order to profit off impatient, unethical players, without heed to how they are wrecking the game experience for real customers. Moreover, remember that gems don’t just buy gold: gold buys gems! And new gems only show up for purchase if people do swap their gems for gold. If you buy gold with your cash-bought gems, you are helping drag the price down for players that need to gather up gold in-game in order to get the pretty things on the gem store. You’re adding to the supply to meet the demand.
I seldom buy gold with my gems, I pretty much have to really want a thing on the TP that I cannot otherwise get (I don’t mean a legendary, egad, I’m not spending that kind of cash on pixels — if I were I would have long since ceased my whimpers about how much I want a permanent hair stylist, lol). But when I do, I am secure in the knowledge that ANet both approves and desires the transaction in order to keep things balanced.
I hope that helps.
how is
“you know this thing people do that f’d your enjoyment, effort put into the game and all the fun out of archieving stuff?”
“yer?.. yes, good.. we are going to do that ourself now, so forget about any kind of damage control or minimum amount of people doing it etc…”while we are at it why not sell hacking and botting tools as well? i mean it is a huge issue in general in mmo’s and people will always use them, so why not just let Anet prvide them? they will even be better than ever as they will be part of the ingame UI’s…
seriously, how that is a logical “reasoning” is beyound my understanding :/ i just don’t get it and can’t get my head to accept it
yer it sadly didnt help. i just can’t get my mind of the “ow there goes 1 day of playing, you could have had an extra legendary piece there, boy you must be having fun for giving up 1 legendary piece just for that play session” … and no i was not having That! much fun, no one is :/
So after you worked over time and bought everything you want in the game whats the point of playing for you?
I play the game to do things i like doing and earn gold for the goals i set for myself.
So what if it takes 800 hours for me to get that legendary piece i had fun collecting the funds for it
As much fun as it might seem to have the races matter more in build, I have to agree with the folks who’ve said that it’s better game design that the races don’t matter that way. Min-maxing would ultimately lead to certain race/classes being optimum. It would ruin race choices for folks.
However – I am totally on board with the OP that race should matter a whole lot more in game story. Even in how characters interact with you in text. There were nods to it here and there in Season 2 (giving Rytlock the crown, for instance), or how charr talk to Rytlock in HoT. But often it is irritatingly overlooked. My charr should NOT act like a human. And a couple of story instances where things go differently depending on your race (i.e. different tactics or tasks leading toward similar conclusions) would not be that incredibly time consuming.
it would mate its 5 times nor time consuming then making it one story fits all.
I would love for them to add a check when selling things on the Trading Post that allows the seller to say “Not for Resale”…so once bought it could not be relisted on the Trading Post.
And, I really would love to see the difference it would make removing the artificial inflation of people just buying and reselling at a higher cost.
I imagine there would be a decent drop in price for a lot of items since the flippers/TP Botters (artificial inflation) would not be able to control the market.
That would be interesting wouldn’t it? I think reselling is partly kept in check by the listing fee, so there needs to be some variance in price before that becomes profitable, but flippers will always have a lot of power with a centralized system like the TP. With a decentralized system, the exact value of goods would be slightly harder to determine, since players would additionally be weighing up the local price of the competition. It would also factor in the relative danger of transporting the good to that location. I expect it would work a lot better in a more dangerous and expansive environment.
I was tempted to give a well thought out response to your previous post but this post makes question your sincerity. Localized markets where it is more difficult to calculate the market value of an item offer more room for flipping, more advantages for experienced and established players.
I think this thread has run its course or at least my interest in it. The last thing I would add to it is this; a game’s economy, the tools it uses to maintain a marketplace, should resonate with the design intent. A game’s economy shouldn’t be judged by how well it mimics the real world unless mimicry of the real world is the design intent.
I once knew a guy on WoW who had gold capped several accounts. I didn’t believe him, so he showed me. He attempted to send one copper to a character and received an internal server error. He had single handidly destroyed the gem market on his server. The gem prices on his server were TEN TIMES the average rate on other servers. His tactic was to buyout all gems at a lower price than his own.
The question is: Is this single server an example of a local market dominated by one player (I suppose you would argue yes), or is it an end state for any singular, global market (I would argue yes)? My argument, which is the equivalent of anti-globalization, is that a series of local markets would be more resilient to the take over attempt of one or several allied players.
And thats alot harder to do in this game since all servers in the same region share the trading post.
The sunless weapons are RNG and boring. Only use they have is to get the specific ascended stat. IMO, not worth the effort, at all.
What specific ascended stat its a base stat like you can get by crafting said weapon.
Only use is for the skin not the stat.
I’m not sure what is wrong with race being part of the meta as class is part of the meta. Nothing should be so unequal that people don’t want to, or are shunned if they play a certain class. So the same should be true if race mattered to your build.
So you would be happy you leveled up a human warrior when all the meta groups say to you sorry charr is better race you cant join us.
Are you “happy” if you level up that Warrior and all the meta groups don’t want Warriors? What’s the difference?
The difference is you can relatively easily have one of each class at max rank. If racial skills are kept weak and race is just cosmetic that’s just 9 characters that cover all the bases. If racial skills are buffed and race is not just cosmetic then you need 5*9=45 characters to cover all the bases. Having to reroll a warrior because the latest patch buffed Asura and nerfed Charr so that Charr are no longer the “meta” would be a PITA, IMHO.
OR, Anet could keep all the races and classes balanced so that no 1 is the winner and none are “losers”. I don’t want to have 1 of each as it is and I don’t like the idea that whichever I want to play at the time I can’t because it is considered a loser.
And your arguing about making it 5 times harder to be considered winner is the right thing?
Since you want to mix in race choice and not just class now.
They have a hard time just balancing classes do you want them to balance race aswell well hello balance patches evey 6 months.
I would love for them to add a check when selling things on the Trading Post that allows the seller to say “Not for Resale”…so once bought it could not be relisted on the Trading Post.

Yes and for it to be dangerous to move items the game would have to get open world pvp and this aint the game for that maybe check out ashes of creation mate.
pokemon go is that way —-—>
mesmer (chrono tank), elementalists 1-5 and 1-2 warriors are always wanted in raids aswell.
No but you have https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor
and you can pop into wvw ask in map chat if any guild on your name of server are looking for people
since server are linked now you have to specify.
Yes it could be that the one who sold you the key on g2a charged back the transaction from anet gaining dubble profit from it.
Hope you had buyers protection so you can take it up with g2a and hopefully get a new key or refund.
Edit
Have you activated sms authentication in your old/new account since you seem to have poor security on your passwords mate.
Ok, I understand. Each Mastery “track” has to be leveled up to unlock it, and only then can you use your Mastery points on it? Everything I read previously said that once you finish Torn from the Sky then masteries are open to you, so I didn’t realize each track has to be leveled up itself independently of earning mastery points, that’s surprising.
Yes they are open to you you can chose witch one to level up mate.
You just cant run before you can walk so to speak so no gliding level 3 without first completing level 1 and level 2.
Edit
Donno were you have been reading but the wiki is a great tool
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery
When you own Heart of Thorns, and one of your character reaches level 80 and completes the story chapter Torn from the Sky, the Masteries tab will unlock in the Hero panel for your account
afew lines under
All experience gained on any level 80 character on your account while in one of the regions will be applied to the respective active mastery. You can freely switch the active masteries without any cost, as the amount of experience previously gained will be saved until you return to train that mastery. Once the current active mastery is fully trained by obtaining enough experience, the experience bar will start blinking and you can spend a certain amount of mastery points in the Masteries tab to permanently unlock the mastery on your account.
(edited by Linken.6345)
But don’t you earn mastery points that let you level up the mastery? If not, what is the point of having mastery points at all? Right now I have 1 HoT mastery point that I used on Gliding – great, awesome! I know I need to build more. But I have 9 Tyria mastery points that I can’t seem to use at all. Do I need to unlock something else to be able to use those?
Yes but you use experience to level up the lines then when maxed out you spend points to unlock the next mastery level.
The core tyria ones I would suggest you spend on pact commander to get auto loot in the end.
You still level up in this game just that you level the masteries instead of character levels like in most other games.
Edit
I would suggest to do daily fractals to gain exp towards core tyria mastery or go map complete/ world boss run in base game.
Well you only get chest the first time mate.
I understand that they don’t want to update the dungeons, but EVERY SINGLE PATH in Arah currently has at least one major bug that prevents completion if it triggers. These need to be fixed or Arah should be disabled. It is NOT fun to go through the entire Seer path, for example, and then have the Dwayna boss be unbeatable and have to start all over.
Agree this is why I used the 8 path random token chests and spvp tracks to finish of my arah collection.
Edit
Be careful what you wish for tho remember what happened to twilight arbor forward up?
You need to level up the mastery useing exp core tyria gives exp to legendary crafting fractals pact commander.
And heart of thorns zones + living world sesason 3 zones give exp towards gliding, and the other hot masteries.
Give us the ability to by a pass or w/e in the genstore that unlocks a small questline to unlock x’s race’s skills on your current toon (sylvari skills on my human). That way making a sylvari you have their skills to select from and if you dont want to make a toon you can simply buy a pass to acess their skills.
Yes that would work if it dident go against exactly what the OP wants for races to matter.
If everyone could buy a pass races again dont matter so its meaningless work that gets us back to the same spot.
Regarding open markets, I’d argue that in an MMO there is a definite value to obtaining a good location for selling particular goods. For example, a merchant selling health or mana potions in a dangerous zone could reasonably increase their item price “above market value”, because there is value in not having to return to a town to purchase those items. This is something that the TP really mutes. I’d also say that access to a global market would create a high bar for entry, which is something that I think is also seen on the TP, where players with lots of supply have a global effect on the market. This is super convenient to manage, and may be necessary from the point of view of ANet and managing the game’s economy, but it’s also a bit gross.
Yes, the TP reduces the chance for profiteering or charging a premium based on location. The horror.
A global market reduces the threshold for entry and increases the threshold for market manipulation.
Game development is a group effort. If you are a developer and are fortunate enough to be lead on a game’s design, keep that in mind and hire an economist to help.
I thought gw2 have a economist and most players dont seem to like the changes he do at all so not sure hiring one would help tbh.
