Yes it does punish smaller guilds. Prior to HoT we had an almost fully upgraded guild and now we’re back to square one. It’s hard to recruit players when they all want big guilds and instant gratification. A 4-5 man or smaller guilds are suffering the consequences. Anyway I guess it is what it is. Grind some more.

Are there any plans or discussion of being able to obtain Favor other than Guild Missions such as the letters we purchased with gold to by Infuence?

After seeing this, the informal decision our guild has made to move from being a wvw focused guild to a PvX and possibly mostly PvE guild for the near future is making a lot of sense.

We will see how things go in the next couple of months. If wvw doesn’t pick up in a couple of months and our guild is not back to where it was as far as guild utility in wvw from guild buffs, I expect this game will no longer be a concern for us.

Same for us. The grind is unreal. We’re just going to do WvW for missions and dailies.

Typical, same with Gem Store items. If they state not usable in WvW, it won’t get purchased.

The problem I have with is they buffed condi damage and nerfed the anti side (food). Also they didn’t change or help on the clearing side. Just a personal whine…

I bought the expansion for 2 things, the Revenant and the Guild Hall. We used Banner buffs a lot and to continue, we needed to upgrade. My biggest problem is with Favor and it being only obtained on way. So to make a long story short, all I got was a Revenant. I may be seeking a refund in the near future.

You CANNOT get the expansion without paying for it!!!

Yes, due to the fact the core game went F2P over a month ago. With the current DL streaming system, you’ll only download the expansion if you already have the core game.

The price is for HoT expansion. They included the core game for those that did not have it.

Here’s another question. The food just below Lemongrass was @ 36%. Did they nerf that one or miss it.

Food needed to nerf because, new armor and weapons stats have condi duration boosts.

Tell me, do these new weapons and gear have stats to negate them. If not then they just got a buff to condi duration.

I think all the old buffs are gone. The new ones appear to be strictly Defensive. And at the rate Favor is acquired, it will be a while before you can just claim anything.

Yeah the stacks gave me 5 seconds of life in a 10v1, now it’s 2. Welcome to Condi Hell. I’m parking my Guard, my Ranger can out survive it.

Updated to reflect the removal of WvW focus. Due to the HoT expansion, this will not be possible at the moment and we are going to focus PvE and Raids.

I regret opting for PvE and do not recommend switching your preference to PvE either. All PvE quests are locked by Guild Level, 10 minimum.

So pretty much pre HoT requirements to complete a mission?

If they haven’t changed it, Yaks=3, Sentries=1. Bloodlust is gone.

Jarrix, but you were able to “claim” the camps without running the mission? And without a Guild Hall?

You don’t need to claim the camp for the guild mission. Just launch it under the missions tab then have 3 people in the circle when it’s captured.

You also have to hold it til it’s upgraded to T1.

One thing this may have leaned toward, Troll guilds in WvW. You can no longer claim and not put any buffs or whatever. The banners and +5 is whole other issue.

If in the future you want to try WvW, please state what your home world is. This can save you a lot of aggravation in the future.

WvW is in the Mists not Tyria…

The fact that the new guild system and currency kills small guilds and another gold sink. Guess we’re staying with the old system.

I had that issue also. I came to the conclusion that we have yet to claim a Guild Hall. Also noticed you now have to talk to the Quartermaster to claim, no longer the Champ or Vets.

Has anyone used it since release and is it functioning properly?

This. WvW is an extension of PvE that allows you to kill other players. Adjust, Adapt, Overcome…

You all missing the point this game supposed to have provided you more fun enjoyment then any other mmo, dont be lazy to grind a lil bit for you characters it will be rewarded something great, same thing happening in real life you have to work to earn real money to spend food clothing etc etc,,,,just join a group or guild and youll finish all achievements very fast.

But it’s my money and “I want it NOW”.

Also keep in mind, this is a very short MU. WvW will reset tomorrow night for the full week.

Haven’t had the chance to play yet and I haven’t seen it posted, do the new XP boosters stack or reset on consumption?

They have to be Veterans or higher to rally. So now you do all your dueling next to the gates, lol.

I believe they intend to add different WvW maps for the borderlands in the future, or at least have considered it.

Supposedly, they will revamp the Alpine map and bring it back in the future and possibly have a rotation with the Desert one.

A specific time was not stated but WvW will be back up w/new maps @ 12:01PST tomorrow when HoT is released.

And as its been said many times over, it’s not all about T1. Your server is marked full for a reason. Manage it but not by bloating it more.

If you read it entirely, the MU after HoT is released, it will be based on the period from Friday 0:001 prior to the reset on Saturday.

First off I’m a filthy casual. I play this game because it’s fun not because I want to be the best at it. I’m looking for a guild that’s about community first. I just want people to have fun with.
That being said I’m not an amateur. I am both capable and willing to help out with any aspect of game play. PvE, WvW, PVP, it doesn’t matter I love doing it, and I love it much more when I’m doing it with friends.

For WvW, what server are you on?

From 0:01 Friday morning you will have WvW with the new maps until the Saturday reset. This time slice WILL affect the Glicko ratings.

Edit: The full 24hr period of Thursday there will be no WvW.

I for one am glad they are locked behind the “Tournament”. Makes them more valuable and not everyone can get them with some other kind of currency. It requires you to participate in the WvW game mode. I think it’s the only thing we have left that is Unique to WvW.

That being said, I wouldn’t count on a tournament for a while, not until HoT settles in and all the other changes that have affected WvW smooth out. If they do have one, I wish they would lock server transfers 7 days(on wvw reset) prior to the “Announcement” and have them randomly.
