- Rally order is closest-first. Combined with the rally limit of one this means that only the nearest downed player will rally off an enemy death.
- Resurrecting the dead cannot be started in combat, but entering combat while already resurrecting someone will not force you to stop.
So out of curiousity, are the these going to be global changes or WvW specific?
I mean come on. At least share the WvW love with PvE.
Love? Those changes are horrible for PvE. You might be the only person who wants them. haha
That’s why he wants to share it. Sort of “Its your turn to feel the pain of changes that affect another game mode”. At least that’s the way I see it.

Early 2016- Are we looking at 3 months before implementation of proposed changes?
I’m not positive but I do remember that the Glint buffs are around a minute each and they Pulse and Stack with multiple Revenants.
If they were Revenants, the legendary Glint will do that.
Going on 2 months and Auto Loot is not even functioning…
As much as I’d like to see this, it’s not their MO. You’ll find out when they think its time to talk about it and by then it’s too late to make changes. This is what we done enjoy it.
On a side note, I bought Black Ops 3 last night for Christmas, no gems for this game. It will be 2 years come January that I have and it will continue.
PvE wise, the Guild Hall is fluff except for the buff. PvP/GvG wise the Arena is a nice addition and not too hard to level unless you want all the tricks and traps. Also the arena from what I’ve heard barely fits 10 players. WvW wise (total failure) buffs hidden behind a grind/pay wall in game modes that most players don’t venture in. You do the math.
I haven’t bothered but theme wise I would bet it comes from the Norn start zone and one of the Raven acolytes there.
EotM is a success because that’s where the PvE’rs are. And as you have been told, if you WvW, you are actually are into PvE.
I logged on last night, went to the vendor and was appalled alone just at the cost of opening the collection. 25004 Karma. Wtf is up with the 004, bad key strokes? Top it off with an additional 3 gold. I have 15+million Karma and this is not worth 1 of it. I promptly logged off and went to bed.
Edit: This is probably the same dev that came up with the ridiculous numbers for WvW titles we had to endure for 3.5 years.

Well that solution cant work because the boss is scaled to a 40 man group and you try to assign 10 people to kill it while the other 30 deal with pvp. So people who want to do pvp must do pve so they don’t die in pvp. They should be able to ignore the keep lord and fight the bads but they cant ignore him because he’s too strong to ignore.
What do you mean should? You can ignore the SM lord perfectly fine if you dont want to cap the place. …
Thanks for the Pro Tip Dawdler. For the past 3 years in WvW I had mistakenly assumed that the correct action after breaking through the castle gates was to kill the lord, get the loot, and capture the place. But if I am not going to capture, why would I spend money on siege to break in? The only way to cap without siege is PvD. But people complain about PvD, it is all so confusing.
If the population is there and defense shows, many times l have seen SM not capped for 1: Fights, 2: Bags both are fun!!!

For your WvW interest, I would highly recommend you read the subforum here to get an idea of what state it is in and look at Millennium for scores and time zone activity before deciding what server you select. Also, state what type of WvW you would like, I.e. roaming, GvG, zerging. These will all play into your decision. Once you make that choice and decide later it’s not what you like, you will either have to delete your character to move for free or pay to transfer.
They still have 1-2 hours to prove to us they are listening and aren’t just on autopilot since HoT’s release. It’s never too late to fix broken traits/skills.

Ultimately you still have your server but now with an alliance server, fuller and more balanced maps, regular tournaments that start off even that can be hosted regularly…

EoTM is an alliance system.. and it is terrible. Fuller maps does not necessarily = better, if the players on that map suck. Balance is determined by skill, not numbers.
The system needs to allow for better servers to play one another without having the junk ones added to them forcing the good ones to carry the weight for the bad ones.
Expecting the good servers to do all the work and give the bad ones a free ride is not good game play.
Sweetie, I hate to tell you but “skill” at this point doesn’t matter. Population is the problem. Skill can be dealt with “if” the population remains.
No, it really cannot. If the players on the server refuse to run proper classes, builds and form proper parties and work as a team on comms, they just drag the ones who do down. The server who has the most players who do so is who wins, even if the other server has more physical numbers. Those numbers are just one push material and wipe instead if they do not have the proper comp.
Expecting the servers that do run proper builds, classes and parties to carry the servers who do not is not fair to the players who have put forth the effort to do so.
When all servers in a match have population, this is what makes the difference.
You pretty much explained a GvG mode right there. Pugs are not going to do that because they’re casual. You have to dedicate some time and explain things especially since GW2 is now F2P. Things have changed, your man power resource has changed. You have to give them a reason to come back. I think really with the HoT system changes, that we are really headed to a true “Guild Wars” in WvW.

All the WvW portals are there with Fractals and PvP. Hitting B is easier because you can enter anywhere in the game and when you come out you return in the same zone. No travel to LA is required.
Don’t forget PoH’s. You can buy Sup Siege with those except Golems for some reason.
Encourage people to not play is a horrible idea
If they have more players they should win to rank up next mu will be more even.
Lol, look at T8 NA, DR and ET are trampoline for what ever server that gets dropped from T7.
I have no problems with it as long as I can say" pick between 3 severs in the tier" but to just randomly toss me “NO”!!!
So this pop up would throw me in some unknown server, like it does with PvE maps? Most of the times I select the move the replacement map is just as bad.
The WvW upgrades are well out of our reach. We’re shooting for the Level 2 Arena and probably calling it quits on upgrades thereafter.
I started on Devonas Rest, went to JQ for map completion and Season 1 hit. Learned a lot there then transferred back down to DR before S2 and still here. Is that server loyalty?
I quit because of the hot requirements. Decided to come and visit WvW and cant even get into any BL because of HoT. But HoT wont change wvw at all, or atleast that’s what they lied to me about.
How can you not get into the BL? HoT is not a requirement in WvW. The only restrictions now are level 31 which can be bypassed through using the portals in LA and f2p which requires level 60…
I dont know, just know that I did not buy Hot. Logged into gw2 yesterday since a long time. Could get into EB just fine and no waypoints in BL, and portals to BL did not work for me.
They are new undiscovered way points. Go into the panel and manually select the DSBL then they will be available.
Until you get some kind of formal communication from Anet and where this game mode is headed in THIER view, you’re just kittening in the wind asking for changes and putting up useless polls.
From what I can tell, you have to buy the recipes from the HoT zone npc’s. Not sure if you can turn those into Feasts via the MF tho.
Sad about WvW these days. All I know is since HOT I have been having some insane fun in EoTM. Might have something to do with large number of players…..ahem!
This…look at all of the EotM instances and compare them to NO ques in WvW and tell me where people are playing. The Ktrains don’t happen like they use to. There are some actual fun instances.
EoTM Factions system is far superior to WvW’s server system.
But WvW’s Map is far superior to EoTM’s map.

It’s most failure for balance is still the relation of WvW server status. This needs to be removed completely.
On reset of match all colors are open, no server affiliation. One map with no overflow.
1: When you choose to play EotM, select a “Color” to represent.
2: When that color reaches map capacity, grey it out. You will need to select one of the remaing two colors.
3. When the map reaches full capacity on all three colors, another map is created.

I’m not sure of what the depth of open PvP the op wants but it has been suggested you have a server with PVP maps, i.e. current PvE maps void of all PVE features, NPCs and creatures.
Tempests, Scrappers, Mesmers have traits and utilities that grant AOE super speed. It’s not the consistent 25% movement speed you’re used to, but it’s something! Bring lots of these classes and you might have a higher super speed uptime.
Golems are unaffected by speed buffs, hence the use of Travelers runes.
Please try it! Apply super speed to a golem and see that it works. If this was not the intent then it is a bug and should be reported as such.
I’m on mobile at the moment so maybe will do it later. Also if there was just a patch and it stops working before the time of my post, it’s possible a dev already saw it and hotfixed it.
On mobile also. Unless they changed it fairly recently, all the aoe speed buffs I could apply, i.e. Warhorn, I would see “Immune” pop up. I’m in T8 and haven’t seen a golem built in 3 months, lol.

Certain WvW achievements have always been easy to snag and continue to be easy. Mists Guard Killer is super easy; just kill 5 NPCs. Caravan just requires killing one Dolyak which is even easier now that more of them spawn. Monuments (formerly ruins) is also easy to find and capture solo. Big Spender is of course always the easiest.
Dailies cap at 3 so anything after that only rewards an underwhelming chest of stuff. For a PvE’er, doing the Daily Gatherer, Daily Vista, and one of the easy WvW dailies is a great quick combo to run.

The WvW Transcend Chest also contains an XP buff that works in all game modes. The buff goes active the moment you open it tho. Also unfortunately the chests don’t stack.

I will get my guild decoration – when I get my guild hall. We can’t open it up with the actives we have (2-3). Sure I could ask for help from random people I don’t care about, but… no. I shouldn’t HAVE to. If they don’t want 2-3 person guilds, they should make the requirement higher. IF they let you be a guild, they should let you have a guild hall without having to pander to others. Regardless, claiming the guild hall isn’t my concern in this thread. Scroll up to the top of page 1 and review. We will claim it soonish… on my husband’s terms (not mine)… He has a plan that is totally outside Anet’s expectations of this xpac…. as usual.
Yes I’m fully aware of tavern buffs… That are behind a mat wall. a HUGE mat wall to get to 10% – They took them away and are making us work for the same kitten again. It’s just inconsiderate. My opinion stands as valid.

The real take-home message was that if I build my guild up to level 24 (across all areas), I’d get cool stuff. So I did. They then took away everything I had build and put it behind a wall along with all the new guild stuff.
This cool stuff you talk about is what? 1 guild decoration, that you clearly have to unlock a guild hall to use.
Stuff to me is pile of things not that 1 thing in the corner.

What is the basic q&l that have been taken away from you?
Here’s a good example for you from my PoV. We played WvW 90% of our time. We upgraded that line in the old system for the buffs. Now BAM in one fell swoop that is all gone. Now take a look at the requirements to get that back. Should have been grandfathered in and we should only have to work for the additional items like the Airship and Stealth Pool.

I wasn’t talking about raids either. Anet said the whole of HoT was a step up in challenge. Focus of the game hasn’t changed, it’s still Barbie and Ken Dress up MMO and still allows for non-pros to play 99% of the game and feel good about how awesome they killed that mob while watching Netflix and pressing 1. Game is still casual friendly; they haven’t removed any of the content that all the casual people love to do.
I get it .. even though Anet warned you about the difficult content, you were hoping for something different and bought HoT anyways. It’s got some surprises you don’t like that offend your ‘want to solo an MMO’ playstyle and now you’re unhappy and trying to think of ways to show how the wool was pulled over your eyes.

The guild halls IMO were a QoL update, Not Content…
