Hiding in keeps was all I loved to do on my mesmer (Golden Mirage). There was a psychology involved to it that I loved. It punished k-trains and also managed to start some miraculous saves. Mesmers were the ace up the sleeve, the agent behind enemy lines. I recall so many times porting in my team to inner keeps/sm after flips to turn the tide of a zerg v zerg map conquest. Nothin ever in this game has gotten my heart racing as much as 1v25 for 10+ minutes in Bay while I coordinate with EB comms to come take a port.

ANet doesn’t carry much about servers stacking or not. Server transfer fees are only there for revenue.

Given the state of the game, it might be wise for Anet to allow players some latitude with how they interact with the game mode since at the moment the mode is a bit broken.

Players struck on servers which are a bit fit for them or abandoned on servers when everyone else leaves might think that $20 transfer fee might best be spent on a new game.

Interestingly I had a lot of crashing problems with GW2, repair didn’t work, new drivers, window refresh, underclock etc. However after looking at my event logs I spotted a problem – some other application was crashing my pc lol. Suggest looking at the Windows application event logs to get a feel for where the problem lies, you may get lucky

For over a year I had random crashes and tried to pin it down. When I upgraded to Windows 10, the first crash posted a message that was very clear instead of some random error codes that went nowhere.
My BIOS file was corrupted. Flashed it and my problems went away. They do still come back after a while but flashing fixes it. To this day I don’t know what keeps corrupting it.
Also make sure your BIOS is always up to date.

This has been discussed many times over. No matter what changes you do, it was countered with how it could be manipulated by the other side.
They should just remove all the buffs and display a message on the screen when you acquire it " YOU’RE FOOKED"…

Don’t forget what Megasever did to each server for rallying and recruitment. That in itself was a major blow.

1 – have larger blob servers broken down to lower servers to ease server stress for more stability, force them to be fair. – that’s about as reasonable as forcing lower tier communities to merge. lower tiers think of blobbing the game as cheating, weak meaningless pvp, easy play, else we would have moved.

i suppose a few lower tier servers might consider teaching them real pvp if it was absolutely necessary.

2 things need to happen next before we progress to the next step.
1: 2 way communication. Make sure we’re not talking to ourselves again.
2: Take the top 5 subjects individually and discuss them. How you would like to see each changed and implemented. This is where we need the communication from Gaile or the Devs to let us know what is and what is not doable.

At this point in the game I don’t think it matters whatsoever the subject is. Things will probably not change drastically fast enough to satisfy anyone.
Until we secure a hard line of two way communication, you can kick, scream, rant and stomp your feet all you want. We have seen this in the past where Anet will post, get our hopes up and vanish.
I have more faith in Gaile to fill this void than any other Anet employee that has been here before and deserves the title she carries.
The frequency of her posts, regardless of their context will determine whether we are moving forward.

I agree it needs a raids category, but other than having to sort through all the open world stuff to find raid groups it seems to work well whenever I’ve used it.

Edit: I’ve never played WoW so please don’t just say it needs to be like theirs. I’d like to know what about their system makes it better.

Unless it has changed since Cata, the Raid LFG worked like this: There were 2 types of Raids. Only 1 used the LFG system.
1: Select what Raid you want.
2: Enter que until the required amount of players arrived.
3: Enter Raid.
This was good to a point, no one person/player had control of who entered.
The WoW Raids like we sort of have are instanced based, controlled and preset. Some groups would do gear checks and make you run the DPS dummies to verify your output is up to their requirements.

They are parked in forever land until as stated “They can bring them up to HoT standards”. Which is a controversy on Its own.

I’m not an Achievements hunter, they come naturally. What I would like to see more of is a quarterly weekend match, 48 hours long, lock out transfers prior to announcement and give out the WvW Tournament tickets. Oh and the score based strictly on PPK.

It is a change we have asked for, it is out in the open and they given us information, and they shall have credit for this. Them talking to us giving info is a big step, that we have asked and begged for, for years.

You need to re-read what i wrote because your answer do not in any way or situation suit the context. In the grown up world when you been argue for a long while about things, there has to be a time were you break off and something changes, and the people involved need to give time for the changes to fall in to place, as in give time for them to prove their talk.
Throwing your self on the floor screaming i want to see changes NAOW is not going to make a difference, the changes will fall in to place and we will then see if they can deliver or if the talk was just cheap. In mean while you have to accept that it wont solve in 2 min.

Players venting here have been waiting years, not 2 minutes. This is just their " final stand" before they all give up and leave. The HoT maps were deserted during Beta testing, and they knew this and still released them. That was their bad call and they still have not corrected it, It isn’t like these problems started yesterday.

I been waiting for 3.5 years, so it is not that i don’t understand what you are asking for, if you read my old messages you will see that i am one of them that also have asked for it for long. But never the less, what we have asked for, have happened, it might be that it will fail in the end and talk is cheap, but we do need to give time and see if they follow through. Throwing garbage at them when they took the first step, is not going to work. It is like a relationship that gone bad, it need work and patience from both sides. and if you don’t have the patience, then maybe it is time you break up with the game or at least take a break.

I am not saying that i am blindly believing in this and that all is buried and forgotten, but time will tell if what they started is lasting and something that will be a norm in future. For that they need more then 2 min.

Maybe people are ruffled because of Anet’s lack of urgency? If Anet stated something along the lines of “Wow, you folks really hate the new map, huh? Well don’t worry, we heard you and are working hard to give you back the Alpine Borderlands back! You can expect it within a month.” See, that would have went over extremely well. Instead they spoke of population imbalance which should be at a far less priority than fixing the maps.

They spoke of a lot of things including the alpine border and why it was not in rotation as it was suppose to be.

It is not that i don’t understand the argument or why people are upset, i am just as upset and been for a long while. But even so, we have asked an begged for years for them to communicate with us. This have now happened, and it might not been the greatest way they said things, and it might be that all goes to kitten and it was just empty words again, but there lies my point, this wont happen over night, they need time to show us they mean it.

I prefer giving them this time, then that the communication we begged for never happen and we would be at the same spot frustrated asking why do they not talk to us.

What they could/would/should have done is not interesting, what is interesting is if this will be something they will continue to do. If they will involve us before things are written in stone, if the beta tests will matter, if they will listen to us when we tell them what we need and what we don’t need and so on.
