WvW might have a bit fewer people now. But that might have to do with several things:
1: It is summer.
2: There is no Season going on.
3: There haven’t been any big updates in the game for some time, so people don’t play much overall.I also seem to recall having posts about WvW is dying basically at the same day the game was released, and yet it is still there with rather long queues at times.
I would have to disagree with you on this, people are getting bored, I’ve seen major WvW guilds transfer servers to find excitement in new blood or because with recruitment drying up and dissolving or going to play other games like wildstar.
A known issue with WvW guilds is that you always bleed members because they get bored of either WvW or the game itself and you have to keep recruiting. So a guild’s constant presence is not a health indicator for the state of WvW.
A good example is SoR’s demise to the point of going from kitten being one of the worst servers for WvW, a massive exodus caused by the main guilds leaving the server or game because they got bored. I’m still playing the game, but the skill level in WvW has considerably dropped since the good days and the mode is boringly stale after 2 years of the same thing.
I doubt stealth bothers anyone in PvE and people should be able to play their thief how they enjoy.
When it comes to sPvP, the few changes made a stealth thief’s life a lot harder than it used to be. But that is simply because you either want to take down somebody that actually gains from every second the ring stay’s his teams color or knows that the thief’s final objective is the capture of the ring which does put some pressure on the thief.
In WvW, it is far from being the case, they come try to kill you, run away, reset & re-engage until they wear you out or that you get somewhere safe as a keep, because you have no chance of killing them alone.
The other day a mesmer was waiting dead in lord’s room and it took 30 ppl way too long to find and kill the thief waiting to res that player. And anet, that was far from “fun”.
Edit: we finally only got him using a stupid stealth trap, for 30 ppl to kill 1 player requiring a stealth trap = broken

1- You are asking for the warrior to become a punching bag that you can kill with no resistance. No AoE, only Melee, kitten skills for fighting. If you think you are getting DPS’d by this kind of warrior, i hate to bring it to you, but you need to rework your build or l2p.
2- most of the classes can make you run in circles endlessly, ele, thief can do that very well too, guardian too. It’s very funny that a thief complains about a warrior reseting a fight… The only classes i’d accept to talk like this are necros. And the solution is not to nerf the other 7 classes.
3- This kind of thread discussing warriors being OP or not has nothing to do with WvW and should be in the Warrior class discussion sub-forum.
4- Warriors are more popular bcz when a beginner plays it, its a lot more forgiving than a thief for instance, specially with all the “stack here” strategies to PvE.
EDIT: this does not mean their DPS is good, just better DPS than a dead party member…
It doesn’t need to be a warrior to be uncatchable/unkillable, every class can do it (except the poor necros, but they can make it take forever).
Also, what is that BS about math showing healing signet being OP, its not. the regen over the period of time equivalent to another warrior heal skill’s CD gives the warrior about the same amount of healing. It’s just gradual instead of a burst, so no, its not broken, you just need to approach “heal denial” in a different way. When i’m on my ele/necro/engi, i actually love warriors being on healing signet because it’s actually a disadvantage for them.
There are much bigger issues than a “poor thief” that failed to gank someone and comes complain that a class is OP bcz it ran away from him….For instance, try playing Engi in a zerg, retaliation destroys you. That class is unplayable in large groups. Not saying retaliation is broken, just that its OP against engis.
If the threads here are even 1/2 as moderated as the matchup ones that are over moderated, this thread should be moved to the Warrior sub-forums….
I dont have footage of it, but as many of you might know, TC (being a RP server) always organizes a dolyak parade. What SoR did was to organize a RP guild called “Yackslappers [HUNT]” and go to that same map with nothing but rifles (war & engi)
First time HUNT wiped the parade, the second time around, it was harder for the hunters, the parade had an escort.
It was super fun coordinating killshots (war) & netshots (engi)
I dont know about you guys and why people are complaining. The reward is a lot better than the 3 green items i was expecting it to be… XD
WvW players from day 1 pretty much knew the reward would be nothing grandiose… Basic WvW costs the players a lot and don’t make nearly as much gold as in PvE. Why would one expect the season chest to be any better than the usual WvW rewards…
EDIT: and plus, its a better reward than other meta rewards & for people that have characters to level, those experience scrolls or w/e they are called are pretty cool. Really, the reward wasn’t that bad.

I just love how you can slap a “balanced” stamp on match ups where the winner has been decided after not even half the week.
Shows what a sad state WvW is actually in.
In 5 out of the 8 matches, the second place server can win with a big push through the week. In T1, JQ and BG has kept within 5k points of each other and both are pushing hard. In T2, TC has caught up to FA after a slow start. In T3, Mag is keeping up in PPT with SBI and could push to win as they are within points distance.
This is indeed the closest matchups we’ve had in a long time. The only blowout match is DB/NSP/IoJ
No, once the week starts T1 is unbalanced due to COVERAGE gaps. BG is guaranteed to win, JQ 2nd and SoR 3rd. Its just how it is right now. Before league we we all 3 super-balanced in T1 and the matchups were decided in the last minutes of friday. But BG decided to become a vacation resort for guilds during league breaking any balance the “big three” had
Thats okay, 40 upleveled necros are having their way with your home BL
-_- he speaks the truth
If your going to post screenshots remember to edit the chat out first.
Y
Because our server chat is private to OUR server, but in this case your posting what BL your on, our numbers, but even worse the chat contains info about a mesmer going to hide in the keep thats about to flip as it happens. Just get in the habit of editing all chat even if you dont think its important.
Well for once, it actually helps that you did not censor the chat, there was a BG mesmer glitching in bay. SoR knew he was there, we could just not kill him the way you cant kill krait in underwater fractal that glitch into the rock. (Of course in his case, he knows how to exploit the glitch). TY for putting a character name on that mesmer!
Should these ppl even get the reward? They left their home server mid-league leaving the results up to other people and unbalanced matchups in that different territory’s servers they transferred to. I almost think its fair for those people to not get the reward at all since they have not really contributed to WvW.
Now for people that have been on their server the whole time and are bugged out, I feel for you guys.
Honestly, I’ve been thinking a lot about it and with the tag “only” costing 100g a lot of people see to have one these days. A lot of people dont use them or few keep them up & troll.
Should tags become harder to get? I dont think so. On SoR we had a tagged troll that went into WvW every day. At first maybe a few ppl followed him, being new to WvW, but very fast he found himself running alone even though tagged. Now when it comes to guild groups running, even when we run tagless, others are very good at finding us even if you try to shake them off to get an even numbered fight against your opponents.
Moral of the story, other players recognize guilds & their commanders and will follow only if they want to follow wether you have a tag or not. This is why I dont think acquiring a tag should become any harder. Maybe adding something like hiding a tag that would work a bit like the blocked list you have in your contacts (though it would be low priority as it doesnt really change much)
EDIT: by adding more requirements, you are blocking legitimate new commanders & new players to the game, whereas existing trolls will still get their hands on the feature regardless…

Regarding the scout point tree, I think the ability should not be to see them on the map, but just within targeting range. Different tiers might be like:
-Tier 1: Shows enemy commander icons within sight every 20 seconds for one second.
-Tier 2: 15 seconds
-Tier 3: 10 seconds
-Tier 4: 5 seconds
-Tier 5: ConstantlyThat would work with the timer of WvW ticks, every X seconds of it, it would send a ping of the commanders across the map, and anyone with that trait line would see it. You’re the programmers sooo yeah :P
If that would happen, guild groups would go back to running tagless and all the hard work ANET would put in commander tags would go to waist.
Waist or waste? that is the question!
LOL definitely waste XD -_- 5am → grammar suffers

This ‘all or nothing’ attitude is fine for what we have now (because ‘all’ is virtually ‘nothing’…) but if we start to add things like group buffs, increased survivability in friendly zergs, reduced costs for upgrading siege equipment, and other things that actually set a commander apart for building and directing squads, we benefit from some sort of progression scheme, and progression fueled by something other than Gold.
Please God, never let anything like this happen! This would be horrendous for the game!
Please God, never let anything like this happen! This would be horrendous for the game! I second.
I like the idea of the tag being public / guild & commanders / guild only for visibility options.
To answer a dev question, the only time people actually join squad is to avoid confusion from troll tags or when 2+ commanders are in the same general area.
To answer another question, the spying on commander tags is way too easy and can break the game. It is as simple as having a 2nd account where you delete your only lvl 1 character and create a new one on the server you wish to spy on (no transfer fees). Then place it in the map at spawn and you now know where enemy commanders are.
When it comes to suggestions about new stuff, I do not think commander tags should be a popularity contests. It’s just to easy of a system to abuse (specially since each server’s WvW community is in the minority compared to actual server population).
Though I would like to see a tag (either assigned by commander or that people can acquire – preferably assigned) for small man groups (havoc). As it can give the commander valuable information.
EDIT: I would also like to see the commander be able to right click a name in chat box and be able to assign a “scout” icon over someone’s head that only he can see (and be able to remove it using the map). Too often i see commanders think they have a scout in a location looking out for the enemy only to lose an objective to realize the person did a ninja logoff. I think it would help any server’s community in general. I think people should be able to self assign scout status when in the commander’s squad. (with a way to manage trolling of course)
EDIT 2: The option to always have the supply in a certain radius of our tag displayed to us without having to stop and /supplyinfo. & increase the radius of the supply check, right now everyone has to be super stacked right on top of you.

No it seems that for example the ones that spawn at the bombs only drop loot the first time you kill them. But when they respawn, they no longer drop loot. Otherwise it would be an infinite dredge farm.
Exactly, and it was patched exactly for people to stop doing it. Groups used to roll for dredge and farm them (when fractals first came out)
And i agree with some suggestions like removing the bomb path… even for “expert groups” it only comes down to taking your armor off & suicide running the bombs until door is down…
The buttons room can be very annoying for groups that dont run 3+ heavy classes, its stupid to have people swap out because the mechanic of the room +2 previous doors is broken. That room is still do-able, but not by the average fractal group.
Sounds like you just want to login and have your rewards handed to you. I’m from Blackgate and I had the meta in the first few days. I worked for them and contributed to my server whilst getting the achievements.
This, I’m not from BG, but this. (So many threads going up now of ppl that wake up to wanting to complete the Meta but dont really play WvW…
I pretty much only do wvw when I play GW2, which is usually only a few hours a night, maybe 3-4 nights a week with guildies or common server groups.
I am finding finishing the meta to be very difficult, specifically the 100 camps, 225 dollys, or 225 sentries.
Well there are 19 available achievements and you only need 15, if you only find these 3 the hard, you should not really have an issue. (and usually supply camp is not that hard, what server are you on?)
Okay for those that say the meta is easy to do in a few weeks… Tell me what is the best way to go about getting the last few…
I have left: 225 Dollys, 225 Sentries, 100 camps, 50 merc camps.
All of these seem pretty horrifying to grind out. I am 51/100 on the camps, and I guess I can stomach getting those done in a few nights but… I fail to see how this meta is supposed to represent “minimal wvw contribution” or whatever. I join larger groups in EB for 10-20 hours a week and I still only have like 45/225 dollys and around 75/225 sentries…
I dont see why you are having trouble with camps, they always flip to resupply groups (specially those “mid bl”) and far from WP in EB.
Dolly, Sentries & merc camps are the 3 achievements most ppl skip.
500 supply, in repairs was 10/day if you played every day (which is not much and generally put more when defending a structure from multiple attacks)
And even if you dont like the supply one, you have the other 15 that can be done pretty easily. If you are on a server that cant capture SM, then you should be attacked enough to do the supply one.
Player kills is a joke, JPs are a joke too, thats already 6. 10 keeps @ 10-20h/week & the towers should not be a problem. guards & camps are easy too. Just run in circles capping mid (even without that mid is easy). This brings you to 11 already. World ranker & demolition expert & big spender → 14/15. Last one that is a bit longer is as stated, SM or Supply repair based on your server → 15/15
There could be other options, like making completing the dailies a category by themselves (like with monthlies).
I think some people had suggested just that, completing an X amount of WvW dailies over the 7 weeks… though that would only check how often you jump into WvW and not how much you participate. (few minutes ever day VS a few hours contributing to objectives every other day – not necessarily needing to log in every day)
Honestly the achievements were ok, there were only a few like the supply one that asked for a lot and promoted poor use of supply in some cases
1- SoR is far from inflated
2- Our WvW focused players had no issue getting the key within the first 2 weeks (generally the first) and that without going our way.
The key is meant to validate minimal WvW participation, I don’t see why anyone from any server (ok, maybe the bottom of bronze, and even then) would complain they cant get it as easily as the LS crap.
1- WvW =/= LS
2- 7 weeks (WvW) vs 2 weeks (PvE)
3- Meant to actually validate you play WvW, yeah, they are hard when you run by yourself trying to “complete content”
Lastly, also being from SoR, server teamspeak with the commanders & havoc squads is always being promoted for everyone to join in order to better the servers performance and everyone to contribute. In your case, it’s simply that you have not invested yourself (enough) in WvW & most probably disregarded the WvW community and ran around doing your thing, hunting the achievements even though it might not be the best strategical move at the time & finding it hard because you rejected the community’s support.
And all this “fussing” about PvE that WvW players of many servers complained about is players that jump in and disregard others diminishing the performance of said server, taking up space while not accomplishing anything and having a hard time getting the achievements they were hunting for.
Again, from an SoR point of view ALL NEW PLAYERS that were honestly interested in WvW were WELCOMED to interact with the community and learn about WvW & join in on the fun with those of us who were on the maps (and generally got their stuff done for the key).
These achievements should never have been places under Living World category… (well, who knows if it would’ve made a difference)
I don’t see the problem with them not being random, though I think having PvE map completion as a part of WvW as a problem that should not be there. You don’t see map completion on the sPvP maps.
And also map completion is meant to make you explore the world. (WvW is not something you explore, its territory you fight for — and 3 of the maps are absolute replicas with no real point in exploring them)
Either way, just be patient, WvW will go back to normal as of next week (with random colour assignments)
What most of the people whining here don’t realize is that fotm gives good value for money. It is not in form of gold but in tokens. Let’s do some math shall we?
dungeoning : 20 slot bag=10G for Superior rune of holding+ mats fotm: Do a 36 net 121 tokens you only need 150 relics for a 20 slot bag from fractal merchant that is about 8g(121/150) worth. how about ascended rings which you can’t get from dungeon then?
Next is the backpiece for 1850 relics you can get an ascended stat backpiece. Quiver of Swift Flight which has the in demand zerk stat costs 50 ectos and 250 powerful blood costs 100G more or less to make (with ectos and P blood@33.5s at current TP rates) dividing it gives you a value of 5.4 silver PER fractal relic.
An experienced group can finish a 36 fotm within an hr and 15mins average and net 121 relics 6.5G worth +1.2G=7.7g. That same group can also finish fast dungeons like cof 1 se 1 ac 1 3 and hotw 1 in the same amount of time for 7.3 gold( 6g from daily and 1.3g from default). Also as inflation drives the prices up for ectos and t6 needed to craft backpieces relics equivalent will go up correspondingly. You can however repeat a lower level o higher fractal catergory (10-19 20-29 etc) while you can’t say the same for dungeon and get same rewards.
you take into account the value of relics for fractals, but you forget the dungeon tokens from running dungeons.
Math request.
How much to craft a +5 and a +10 at current rate of 30s per +1 including materials cost?
to cract a +N AR infusion, it will take you 2^(N-1) of those AR infusions you get as a drop. And you usually get one at each big chest, so 4 per run (or 30s/unit)
I think the people that are still rolling for swamp do not understand why people used to do it and why it does not really matter as much anymore…It will just take time for the playerbase to adapt & some superstitious players will still roll for swamp…
Edit: though if I were to get a fractal that is a mid-duration as the first one, I would still reroll…
(edited by LostBalloon.6423)
THe new fractales ar enice but agony resistence is a pain to get.
Funnily enough it is MUCH easier to get agony resistance now than it was before the update.
People are just flocking to fractals expecting it to be the easy brain dead content that can be done while watching TV like the rest of the living world stuff. It’s ANET’s mistake for branding this under the living world content.
Do people forget they can still get the +5 infusions from the merchant in the fractals for a simple 75 relics … -_- anyone’s progression should be smooth all the way to 45 AR with no real farm based on how agony scales with the levels.
This is just a thread by a causal raging that he cannot freely get the best stuff in game (that people should not even really need with cap being at 50) when it comes to resisting agony…. though, i really hope that other stuff than +1 AR drops, because at this rate, even if he’s complaining for the wrong reasons, he still holds a valid point of it being a huge farm.
Considering +1 AR drops only, to create an infusion of +N AR, it will take you 2^(N-1) of those +1 AR infusions to craft that +N AR -> which means a +10 AR will take you 512 of those +1 AR infusions to craft… I dont feel like running 512 fractals for what i can get with 150 relics (granted that relics method will take 2 slots)
1- even if its a “long known” thing for some it doesnt change the fact that it’s a bug that blocks progress
2- level 7 fractal = no agony
3- 80% of the party didnt run many fractals to begin with
4- it was being 4 manned until I got in
and if you look, the colosus’ are almost all killed, so yeah it is possible. And yes tentacles do spawn crystals
So I went in to help a group that was at the maw since they lost someone and the maw was killed before we killed all of the jade colossus and bugged, no reward & no spawns … -_-
As I said. I’m looking forward to see developers doing this on 30+
They wont, if you watched their live stream, they struggle with trash mobs (that and they use 2 thieves in party, so they can just stealth their way through it -_- )
Boast Gate for whatever reason (feeling scared, threatened, under appreciated or simply as a tactical move) started a rumor they were the underdogs so they could get SoR to jump into bed with them week 1, setting them up for a Season 1 victory.
Simple as that.
Congratulations on your win last week BG—you guys are very strong. I wonder how long it will take before the hardcore WvW guilds get tired of dominating…and migrate to other servers for better challenges. Gets very boring at the top.
It’s not like this will continue, ZD came for a “vacation” for the duration of the league just when it looked like BG would lose at getting #1.
No matter what is said, it cannot change the fact that ZD is a guild that is guaranteed their rewards, decided to come to a T1 server in NA to PvDoor in a time slot where JQ and SoR and BG had nothing. No matter what server ZD went to, it would’ve created an enormous advantage.
What I just dont get, is why BG is putting so much effort in trying to deny the effect ZD had on the league when they have pages and pages (and threadS) of outcry against IRON that actually had opposition and just happened to stay later to close the gap until NA started.
Just fix the res/rally mechanics. They give too much survival to larger groups and make it nearly impossible for a smaller more skilled/coordinated team to chip away and eventually defeat a much larger group.
^ THIS. One of your guys dies to that massive group, well here you go a gift. the 20 enemy players you just downed just rallied. This is a major factor in why zergs (even though totally uncoordinated will destroy your group.
This used to not be as much of an issue when there was no AoE limit though, because eating 1-2 meteor showers in a choack would kill your zerg and not just dammage down 5 players that will rally as soon as you get killed by the other zerglings.
2 things
1- not having to pick up loot or being able to pick up the bags even after death
2- tags previous to your death should not give you loot post death.
That will fix 2 things
1- It will remove the incentive of not wanting to WP and waiting to be rezzed to get your loot (or just losing loot you deserve). The effect of not having this is nagative for those who are trying to win the fight (no reinforcements if everyone stays dead) and for those that want their loot off their death.
2- There has to be a way to prevent bad play from being rewarded (i dont want to see players not follow to tag, get killed and be rewarded for greedy play)
I think the opposition to this suggestion here is unanimous.
This message is approved by every guild wars 2 player (-1)
Edit: Erebus.9276 being the -1 to the total (for ppl that cant follow)
I’ve ridden the champ train in a couple of places.
I can truly say that it’s not the rewards for killing a champ. If you kill a champ, you get a bag/box/mats and a few silver. I can get more doing a DE or a dungeon.
It’s the rewards for killing multiple champs in a very short amount of time that makes it very profitable.
This all hearkens back to the risk vs. rewards issue that has been a problem in every MMO ever made. Those events/quests/DEs or whatever else you want to call them that don’t give a certain volume of rewards are going to be ignored.
Therefore, I have come to believe that in order to “do away” with the need to run the trains, you don’t necessarily need to nerf the rewards. I do believe that the best way to deal with them is to make everything else worth the effort so that people WANT to go to the “vacant” zones. Right now, (to make gold) given the choice between doing a 20 minute DE in (insert zone here) that gives a pittance or running the champ train for 10 minutes to make 10x the rewards, I’ll ride the train every time.
Don’t forget, before you could repeat dungeons with alts (making the game alt friendly) enabling you to actually get decent rewards, and even repeating on the same character wasn’t that bad compared to the first time. Now you get an account bound reward of a) 1g+ / 40tokens & b) 26s + 20tokens. Not only is a) account bound daily, but you get diminishing returns on b).
Nerfing wil keep making people move to the next best ratio, and if the nerfing gets too intense, they will just lose more and more logins when people lose the ability to realistically set a personal objective they want to reach.
The problem isn’t any particular activity or means of making gold. The problem is rewarding rote repetition.
Each champion should only give a bag the first time it is killed per day. That’s how a lot of other things work, and it makes a lot of sense.
No no no. Please stop with the “once a day” bullkitten. It kittenin killed dungeons for me. These days I barely play GW2 because there is barely any point to log in.
LS is poorly executed, while some patches are better than others, they are generally just an achievement grind with no true story (Yes, scarlet sucks, “standard super-villains” from kids cartoons have more depth than her)
Dungeons, not only does it get boring doing the same dungeons since launch, but if im in the mood to clear more or want tokens from a specific one, i can only do 3 paths than have to logout and wait for the next day (if I login). Same crap with time-gated ascended (not even tradable).
This “once a day” and micromanagement of the economy is gonna kill the game… Stop trying to force us to play every aspect of the game, its a game we paid for entertainment, so I will play w/e aspects entertain me. And if you don’t like a certain playstyle, you don’t have to play that way, but stop asking for people to be forced to play like you.
So I’m not allowed to run 2-3 times the same path after clearing the whole dungeon to get more tokens/rewards. But its ok for things to go by a daily basis, denying me the possibility to make up for the days i cant login. Genius idea….!
Now I come from GW1, and even though I understand that GW2 is a different game, I wish the good stuff from GW1 wasn’t just shut aside like it was taboo by the GW2 team.
Now in GW2, to change your build (traits), you need to be in a main city (like GW1) and pay a small fee (which is ok).
What I don’t understand is why, like in GW1, they did not implement a local template system that allows you to save your builds in order to be able to reload them easier for that same fee (or no fee in sPvP). When I saw this was missing, I was expecting them to add it within the year, but they have shown no sign of having even though of adding something of the sort to GW2.
This can be very useful for people that play both PvE and WvW as chances of changing builds are pretty high and its just annoying to have to remember the builds and manually respec all the time.
Generally guilds have a certain play-style for which they need their members to run classes / builds. It can happen that to fit a play-style, they will require a certain number of a specific class.
A simple example is if you take the Necro aoe boonstrip Typhus mentionned, to strip 15 players of boons it would take you 3 necros (assuming wells dont tick or change targets after tick, I dont play a necro) because of the aoe limit.
I thought this thread was going to be about Golem driving school.
haha, same! Thought it was gonna be a thread complaining about a golem rush or something :P
“Mini Toxic Hybrid” should be tradable and searchable now.
I still can’t sell my hybrid. I right click on it and there’s no option to sell it.
put in bank (store it) and go get it back
I’d have to guess this coming tuesday we will get to know when they announce the patch or on the 26th after the patch (last patch of november). Otherwise I’d assume a delay… though it would be nice of them to give some feedback on it.
Also, is it really not possible to already patch real quick just to have it added to the drop down? it really is annoying to have to queue for EB when you just want to go to a deserted map for some jumping fun :P
They will either give both servers the reward or base the tie-breaker on something like server rating at the end or some other method.
The one this that is pretty sure is they will not extend the duration of the league to break a tie.

Anet only looks at threads that get “attention”. Dividing our opinions in this matter makes it seem less important and thus, gets ignored.
I really wonder what will come first in this thread, a merger to that one or a moderated infraction. Please go with option a)
Sometimes I feel not playing my gl/af/ac/treb/balli/etc mastery character. I feel burned out. So I log on another, just for a change of pace… and feel like a newbie. I am NOT having fun feeling like a newbie on a character of mine, just because I prefer playing the majority of my time on another. And you know…. games are supposed to be played FOR fun.
Meh, on another side it makes sense progress is character bound – look at PvP, everything there is character bound so you don’t start from a high level with a new class and get your kitten handed to you. Oh… wait…
^ this is gold. But seriously, why are ppl so kitten when it comes to WXP, sure if you have a rank 300 and an alt at rank 50, well your “Account” rank would be 350 out of the 10000… -_-
There is no character progression involved, but there is player progression and its stupid to lose all your progression because the group happens to need an extra ele or mesmer or necro instead of a warrior or guardian… -_-
I’ve seen more underhanded methods used to get a win by whatever mean necessary in the first 2 weeks of league (specially 2nd) that I’ve seen since the launch of the game… -_-
OMG, this again. How many threads must the QQ permeate?
Do you feel targeted by a general observation? Jump the gun much… You want to tell me you saw nothing but clean fights, nothing underhanded?
I didn’t say a specific server, I didn’t say a specific guild, I only said i’ve seen a lot more underhanded approaches at getting a win by whatever mean necessary.
Flying golems, hacking mesmers, DDOS, etc.
Now, why not Quote the OP? Just bcz my signature says SoR? too scared to show BG in your sig?…

GW2 has pretty much rendered me unable to play any of the previous mmo’s I used to play simply because, I can’t move myself to pay a monthly fee anymore.
With all this game has to offer, the amazing graphics and game play, constant new updates and material to play, I just can’t seem to move myself to pay for a sub from games ( which I will not name do to the rules of this forum ) that aren’t half as good as this one. GW2 has made me a true supporter of the BUY TO PLAY mmo genre.
If there are any other BUY TO PLAY mmo’s out there as good as this one, please, let me know what they are, I would like to support them the same way I support GW2. If naming those games on this forum is against the rules shoot me a pm.
Thanks.
Guild Wars (and its expansions), yes, the graphics are not as nice as GW2, but its really good (and a big reason why so many people are actually very disappointed with GW2)
This is a great change, but I don’t like switching between tools between characters every single time I want to play with an Alt, neither.
If Anet is reading this, I suggest making those tools “unlockable by account”, similar to the acchievement’s skins, where each character can create a copy of they whenever they want from a menu option.
All achievement and gemstore skins should be like that, I sincerely hope that the reason they aren’t yet is a technical hurdle, and not ANets monetization team meddling where they oughtn’t be.
Yup, agreed, though i would not mind them “locking” to a certain max amount of checkouts that goes back up when you destroy one or right-click to store back or w/e.
Or being able to check them out for all characters and introduce the new ones as skins to which you can switch between the different skins you bought (bone vs molten).. I think they can explore continuing to make money while also increasing quality of life of items such as there. Same applies to personal bank and merchant access or other services.
Because it’s a dissapointment. GW1 was fun just by playing the game. Mindless gear for a piece of gear is not worth it.
I did everything I wanted, seen everything I wanted but the game doesn’t give more interesting points or events to keep me here.
WvW is fun IF you’re on the right server. Otherwise you’re zerged.
Pve is not interesting anymore. I’ve been playing for a year and done every meta event, dungeon a lot of times. Dungeons, stacking in every corner is not fun. I’ve done them so many times, they can’t show me anything new now.
Legendaries. Pretty items put behind a curse called RNG. The worst part of any game ever. LS, if they won’t change their ways, I’m done with this. Not interesting, minimal, unrelated story, with grinding. No, thank you.
Zerging, running in a big mob mindlessly is not cutting it, sorry.
Then comes ascended. Not only kills a part of the lore, but I’m always wondering “What’s the point of this” ? What was the problem with exotics? Why they have to be replaced? Found no logical reasons for that. I’ve had high expectations after GW1, I admit. But this…I never was this patient with any game yet. Will be around to see the changes though. But I find myself playing less and less and less…
well said…
I dont think it has anything to with not having any progression, GW1 had a level cap of 20 that was very fast to get to and it was just as easy to get geared out. The fun in GW1 was the diversity of PvP (and how strategy mattered) as well as an amazing PvE with great story.
GW2 had a good start with 1st time exploring the maps and learning the story of this era through personal story. What GW2 is lacking is well, living world has no real story with a pretty lame villain, almost like a kid’s cartoon (been said countless times). WvW is a mode with lots of potential but with big issues that need fixed, it really is just Coverage Wars 2 when it comes to WvW. SPvP again, a year into the game, it’s still just about capturing objectives. And lastly, when it comes to the classes, every time a class can finally be specced in many different ways to accommodate different play-styles, that class gets the nerf hammer because people complain that “X class is too OP”. GW2 has very few skills compared to GW1 where builds varied so much based on what you were about to do…
