At this point, I’d rather there be raids in the game with random ascended gear dropping. It’s better than the grind hell they’ve implemented.
Oh great, now the conspiracy theories have started.
How is this a conspiracy theory!?? This is exactly what they are doing. The moment you take your head out of your kitten, you will realize it.
Ascended: 250 T6 Mats & 50 Globs of Ectoplasm
I have 3 80’s in this game and at the most, I have 25 T6 Mats across the board – the Globs, not so much of a problem.
So what are my ways of obtaining more T6 mats?
Mystic Forge – 10 Obsidian Shards, 10 Mystic Coins, 10 Globs of Ecto, 10 Crystals = random stack of T6 mats (including Ori, Leather, Cloth) or random stack of Mystic Clovers (yeah, good luck).
Farming – Like many have said, extremely low drop rate and diminishing returns are going to kill you on this.
BLTC – Well, to buy all 250, you’re in the area of 50-75g depending on the item. I have 3 80’s and 35g to my name.
Face it, they are funneling people to the BLTC, it is the fastest way by spending RL money to get what you want.
Effectively, you do have a choice – you can farm indefinitely & slowly or you can Pay to Win.
Sumii, just want to +1 your post. Read every bit of it twice and it just spoke volumes to me. Thanks!
We don;t want more power to chase, we want more content to see and do. It is not necessary to make us gear up for new content once we obtain high quality max level gear.
More content to see =/= more money in ANETs pocket. They want everyone funneled through LA & FoTM farming ascended gear and converting your cold hard cash to gems so you can buy the remainder of their materials to complete them. Try farming for the materials, see how far you’ll get.
Sad thing is, this is pretty much exactly how it is now in LA all day long. Although I did see a few people wanting groups for other dungeons and I was able to get a group for AC Exp. – the majority are spamming for FoTM groups and/or arguing & kitten comparing.
I’m absolutely positive if they made WvW an even playing field (ala SPvP) you wouldn’t have this much negativity on the forums. PvE people can play their game – carrot and all!
All they really need to do is put WvW players on equal footing, similar to SPvP and I am absolutely positive that a lot of this whining will stop.
Because this is affecting the WvW environment, people are being forced (currently) to PVE to PVP.
DAoC did this exact same thing when it released Trials of Atlantis – to many people, this was the death stamp for that game – it took 2 years for Mythic to make their mistake.
OP, same here – I was shocked to see the amount of people just run by and not even help killing the mob. Fine, you want your ORI, don’t blame you – but at least help kill!
Yes, that’s what the huge uproar is about.
Looria, once you get past L10 in FoTM, you absolutely do need to start obtaining Agony resistance.
Pay 2 Play – this is the new model. Farm some gold or buy some gems off the BLTC and upgrade your gear so you can get passed this artificial “gating” mechanism.
250 Teir 6 fine crafting material- um..what?
Is this true? If so:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_kwXNVCaxY
You get a level 80 rare weapon of your choice. GG
It’s ok, it’s all part of their consolidation plan. You see, the other cities in Tyria are all ghost towns, so soon they will be shut down completely and everyone will be funneled through the arches… and all those sub-80 zones that you love, those will be ghost towns as well because nobody will want to play an alt and lose precious time grinding for their “main” toon!
It’s ok, they have a plan – it’s a brilliant one. You know, when you go to Lion’s Arch and get sent into overflow – well that builds a sense of community with your server (oh wait, I may be wrong here). Well it helps with the perception that their game isn’t slowly dying because hell, you’re in an overflow map – there must be tons of people playing for you to have been sent to overflow!!!
ive been farming the bloods for the back piece all day, literally. ive looted 6.
i had 6 from before so im 12/250….
that is only a portion of the mats required. Ask me in a month how i feel when im close to having a quarter of the mats i need to make this 1 item.
Farming the same mob all day long is about the worst gaming experience i could ask for and i have weeks ahead of doing just this at the current drop rates.
Oh, but friend you’re hurting yourself! Don’t you know about the fabulous diminishing returns this game has? You should read up on it!!! Oh and while you’re at it, buy gems from the BLTC and trade them for gold (at a horrible rate, mind you) and you can have your backpiece TODAY!!!
Oh really? Feels like they added a gear grind to me!
1 vial of condensed mist essence
50 ectoes
40 crystals
250 t6 fine crafting materials
Oh right, that should be SO easy for anyone to obtain.
They didn’t ask how I felt about ascended gear, being lied to and the addition of a gear treadmill to this game. The survey was a joke.
Don’t even justify this thread with a response, let it die. The OP has no clue what he’s talking about.
What does this have to do with Gear Progression and the fact that Ascended gear is a new tier of gear that effects aspects of the game other than PVE?
What you’re talking about is a PVE gating mechanic, which is similar to Agony. While I don’t like it, I have no problem with it in the game. What most people have a problem with is adding a gear treadmill to a game that specifically made it a point to say that they would not implement one.
http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/11/19/flameseeker-chronicles-guild-wars-2s-lost-shores-recap/
Elisabeth Cardy just put up a “Lost Shores” recap article at massively. She doesn’t even mention the Ascended armor debacle, or this thread.
I mean … really? It’s not even worth mentioning?
Ya, many fan site based news is that way, they worry about not getting there interview or pre-view look of the next project if they report on something negative.
Could be she’s holding out on reporting on the issues until she’s had a chance to see the effects of what’s going on first hand.
Listen to the latest GuildCast – she’s on there (http://www.gamebreaker.tv/video-game-shows/guild-wars-video/guildcast-guild-wars-show/) although it was before the content was released. It sure sounded like she was in favor of the changes, but TBH – I think they didn’t want to say much, it seemed they were employing a “wait & see” attitude, which is fine.
I don’t know how people can go on supporting a company that flat out false advertised the game as something that it is clearly not anymore. It’s just baffling.
Uhm…one can get infraction for just quoting for what they said? Why?
Because A.Net doesn’t like being called out when they lie. I’m sure they will use some mumbo jumbo about “out of context”, and “That is not really what the president meant.”
Actually: if so, why is this topic still open?
They do not remove every single negative post, actually most of them is still here, that’s why this topic is so long.
They even stopped removing off-topic posts from this thread! All the posts about getting refund, how to get a refunt, I got a refund, get a refund for example: they’re still here.
Normally every topic that has “run it’s course” and “derailed” is closed. But not htis one, for some reason.I actually think it’s being left open for a purpouse: so that whoever made those stupid decision can clearly see what the feedback and the reactions are.
It’s left open because if they close it, another one will just start in it’s place. I’m not sure if they are still merging into this thread, but I see at least 4 or 5 posts on the main page that are of the same vein as this one. I think they have decided to just let it blow over and die a slow death. Hopefully, it doesn’t and this pain train goes on for awhile.
Actually EndlessDreamer, ANET advertised this game as something it is not. Regardless of what you have invested, that is considered fraud and/or bait & switch.
BTW, bunch of vultures in this thread. Just delete your toons and money, don’t give it to these people!
I purposely waited until Sunday night to try the new dungeon – it took me over an hour to find a group for Level 1 that was comprised of 3 80s, a 62 and a level 21 (yes 21). Sad.
Without saying much, I think it’s been communicated to us that there was a shift in power and direction within this company. Whether it was Nexon, NCsoft or even just ANET who decided these changes were necessary for the longevity of this game, it doesn’t matter. Straight up, we were lied to. Bottom line. I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but don’t go off the cliff with this stuff.
The sad thing is, if there had been some two-way communication and real talk with the customer base prior to these changes, they probably would have saved myself (and others) as a customer.
I took a stab at the new content last night, the new dungeon is fun and interactive and while I was doing it I felt sick the entire time. I would have done this over and over again just for fun – there was no need to add a mandatory treadmill to this content – nor did they need to “gate” the dungeon by levels and further the gap between hardcore & casual – the community is now split in one fell swoop.
Just some really stupid business moves, in my opinion.
I’m past the point of refund, since I was a very early supporter – however, this company will never see another dime from me.
I vehemently promise you that, ANET.
Wow it keeps getting better… I just found out that because I couldn’t log in 7 hours ago for the final event, I missed out on a free, one-time uber accessory which will cost 1000 shells or about 20 gold (based on current trading post prices) otherwise.
So now, you not only have to be a “dedicated player” running FotM 24×7, you need to log in at specific times too? Seriously… what the hell happened.
Wow. Just wow, I have no words anymore for the amount of fail I’m seeing from this company.
Good lord.
This Ring sucks to be honest. Wouldnt wear it over my exo one
The ring certainly does not suck. As well, it has an unused infusion you can add more stats to it. There is nothing in the game currently on par with that. What a crock of kitten.
Was hoping gw2 would also be a game about skill, not about getting OP gear like that other MMO with pandas.
The new stuff isn’t in the game yet so it’s hard to say yet, but imo it doesn’t seem right to contradict the manifesto that attracted many players to this game.
The new stuff is indeed in the game – look at it here:
http://www.gw2db.com/items?filter-item-date-added=11%2f15%2f2012
Look how powerful some of those items are in comparison with what we have now. How in your right mind are you supposed to compete without grinding for these new items?
If a thread with 190 pages of responses is dismissed and seen as the voice of the vocal minority.. then why have a forum as a mean of receiving feedback at all ?
I don’t know what you mean. Just yesterday the main PR guy and the lead game designer responded in a thread about how to change the new FoV back to the old one after 10 minutes. :|
What I am saying is that some people say that this thread is the voice of the vocal minority – my point is that if feedback threads of this size are ignored and seen as the work of a vocal minority, then why care to have feedback threads at all. The A-net team mainly responds to some technical issues and questions abpot game mechanics – they are not too active when it comes to feedback threads.
Hope this clarifies what I meant.
They don’t want to touch this thread with a 10 foot pole. It’s already losing steam compared to a few days ago. Everything has been said – I’m sure they are happily content to let it die a slow death. They tried to reach out to us through fake blog posts and a live chat where they answered nothing, they don’t want 2 way communication on this issue. It’s done people, over with.
The only thing you can do is show them how angry you are and stop supporting this product financially. Keep your head up and keep the conversation going.
I am very excited for this patch! ArenaNet along with some of the playerbase understand that things need to change for the better!
ArenaNet has indeed listen to the players and is giving us a new goal to work for! Along with new content!
MMO’s are always changing and adding in new things! After all how much fun would it be if they just released it then never did anything new with it. It would get very stale very fast. (Like it has in Guild Wars 2 hence the additions and changes!)
And GW2 would turn into a single player game with more live people in it.For those people who understand and are just as excited as I am, hope to see you in game! For those others who are in unhappy, I am sorry that you are leaving or going back to GW1.
Hey MrLee, I completely understand your enthusiasm and share it in regards to the addition of new content! I don’t think anyone in this thread would say they don’t want a new dungeon or new lands to explore – that is not what the crux of the issue is here.
The issue is that this company has lied to us about adding in vertical progression in the form of a gear treadmill and that is wrong. Are you so oblivious to the fact that you love this game that you are OK with being lied to? Maybe you are. I love this game as well, I love the community and I want what’s best for it. Being mislead and misinformed by the company is not my idea of fair business practice and that is why myself and many others are upset.
So before anyone goes off spouting that you are happy – take a second and please understand that you are happy that you were lied to! They decided to change the core mechanics and philosophy of the game you originally purchased (3 months ago mind you). Get informed and understand why a good majority of the people in this thread are upset.
A very interesting quote on Guild Wars Wiki
I’m sure you saw that again in my most recent blog post. This industry just needs to move on. We’ve seen a bunch of “WoW 2.0” attempts, and who actually wants that? Do we really want to be playing those same game mechanics for another 5 or 10 years? —Mike O’Brien 20:22, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
We don’t Mike but I guess you’ve changed your mind.
There’s one thing that really annoys me about all this. In my mind I can’t really picture Mike O’Brien, which is a very clever person, authorizing such an idiotic idea, after he literally put his face in the MMO manifesto.
So the only explanation that seems believable is the fact Nexon creeped into NCSoft and now they are forcing ANet into their business model. I had dismissed this as a conspiracy theory, but ANet’s silence over this issue is making it look more and more real.
If that’s how things are, we won’t get any feedback and they will just steamroll over us.
At the end of the day, it’s the things you say & do that define you. The lack of any meaningful response or communication with the community is what irks me. The rhetoric and misleading information may pull the wool over the eyes of the casual gamer, but for the vocal “minority” (which is growing daily) it’s not working in the least bit.
Regardless of the reasons behind the changes to the game theory, talk to us about it – tell us why you’ve decided to go back on promises and statements you made while designing this game. Communicate with your player base, the ones that are looking for some answers.
In Economics, late comers (GW2) are very often not able to compete with established fist generation industries (WoW). Quite honestly I admire Anet wanting to take the fight to Stormwind, but the smart money was on all of us ex-WoW players who been there, done that, have jobs and families who are no longer able (or interested) to keep up with the 14 or 15 tiers of gear required to raid currently.
In economics that’s called diversification…where if you are one of the few, or the only company who has diverged into a niche (horizontal progression), you will make money hand over fist, even if you don’t have the subscription numbers of Blizzard. Why? because you are not competing for the same audience.
Its actually pretty depressing watching all of this happen 2 weeks after I decided to make the switch and cancel WoW, TSW and SWTOR.
Exactly! You hit how I feel completely. I played WOW competitively for years & years – grinding out the latest gear and making sure I stayed at the top until the day I said, WTF am I doing, this is NOT fun – I haven’t touched it since. I am absolutely sickened by these changes – they are against everything I believed this game & company were about.
Question: is there only a chance to get the gear after going through the dungeons? If so, any guess on the drop rates? Thanks.
Probably the same as Exotic was – 0.001%… but if you get your 150% Magic Find your chances skyrocket to 0.0015!
Ok you take one group with 36% more stats over all due to having full sets of new gears/weapons vs another group that does not have that stuff….
Tell me, who will win in pure numbers?
Oh you say it’s only 2 rings and a back slot, silly! Then I point out they explicitly said they are not only adding a full set with accompanied weapons but ALSO with mutiple ‘tiers’ and more legendaries on top of that.
So now you want to not play and not be left behind in stats or gear… oh dear… C’mon if you dont play the gae for 3 months or whatnot ofc you will be left behind, thats perfectly normal and expected…
This game becomes Gear Wars, just like that other game and all it’s clones.
That would be a no thank you for me.
They said it in their announcement post that the gear wouldn’t all be released at once. The only ascended gear being released today is a piece or two…. ill go back and read maybe ive been up to long and im off my rocker o.O. But if they release say 2 pieces every 3 months….. the situation you outlined above is really not gonna happen because most will go after the new pieces.
Most who are at the level cap, who have full sets of good gear (rare or exotic), who enjoy dungeons, who want to grind for Ascended gear (which based on their reasoning will be more difficult than exotics, less than legendary), and who have the privilege to play the game over the next couple months.
Anyone who does not fall into ALL of those categories will be left behind.
Look… If you expect to NOT play this game and still be on par with everyobne your having a pipe dream. I cant beleive that anyone would egnuinley think that would be acceptable. If you dont play the game EXPECT to be l eft behind its perfectly natural. This smacks of people who want everything but dont want to put the effort in.
“It all gets back to our basic design philosophy. Our games aren’t about preparing to have fun, or about grinding for a future fun reward. Our games are designed to be fun from moment to moment.”
Mike O’Brien
President and Co-Founder of ArenaNet
Executive Producer of Guild Wars 2
Yeah, what a crock of kitten. Famous last words.
RIP GW2 2012 – 2012
For technical reasons, even if they listen to feedback I don’t expect them to pull the patch.
In order to restore my faith in them, for me it would be enough to get an official statement saying they underestimated the negative impact a new tier of gear would have on the community and they would either publish the patch without ascended gear or immediately start working of pulling ascended gear from the game and giving infusion slots to exotics.
Giving some way to exchange exotics for ascended equivalents would also prove their good faith and the fact the introduction of ascended items will be a one-time event and won’t waste previous investments from the players.
Don’t hold your breath Urxx – this is going to go live with little to no more communication from ANET. Now they are somebody that I used to know.
I see no problem with ascended gear so long as it doesn’t become a requirement to play content. In an MMO like WoW, without the best gear (and the associated hours upon hours of grinding to get it), you cannot complete most of the end game content. So long as the end game content in GW2 can still be completed with exotic gear, making ascended gear completely optional, I would be all for it. It gives an incentive to play more for those who want it, but doesn’t force it on anyone that doesn’t.
Perhaps end game content should be scaled to exotic gear and the marginal increases from ascended and legendary would just make said content slightly easier. The key is options. Not requirements, and I think that’s where the devs are heading. So, I’m all for it.
The problem is that it will not be good enough and you will need to obtain the new ascended gear to delve deeper into the fractals – or else “agony” will get ya! What a great concept, hmm, where have I heard this before?
I think Mike O’Brien himself needs to post on this subject.
Don’t continue throwing your subordinates under the bus, Mike.
If this decision is going to stand then you will absolutely bear the brunt of the praise/ridicule. You are the President of the company, you are the executive producer (meaning you make the final decisions) of Guild Wars 2.
“We have always taken our responsibility to players seriously with the original Guild Wars, and we will continue to do so with Guild Wars 2.” – Mike O’Brien
I feel they are stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Something or someone is telling him that this is the right change to make – I mean, they are the professionals and they are giving him “concrete” evidence that this change is necessary for the ultimate life of the game.
This is what I want – I want them to hold off on this one change (adding infusion and new gear levels) – implement the patch, garner some good will with the customer. Take a week or so, gather feedback via different methods (e-mails, in-game pop-ups, forums), give people ALL the information and allow the majority to decide the path the future of this game goes. I know it’s asking a lot, but hell, we put a lot of faith in this company and this game. Ultimately, we the customer pay the bills – we should at least have a voice.
No, I disagree.
The “majority” shouldn’t even matter. They set out to design a product with a very specific and widely understood vision. They marketed that vision, they sold that vision, we all purchased that vision.
Changing the entire REASON for the game (because if it is a WoW clone, isn’t it just a money making ploy?) because of any “majority” opinion this early after release is a huge mistake, and implies that they never had any intention of maintaining a backbone and following through with this vision in the first place.
This isn’t a commodity item which needs to be tailored to suit the most people possible at the smallest cost.
This is an art item which needs to be held true to a vision and standard of quality.
Nymia, while ultimately I agree with you, these changes are probably going live one way or another. I would prefer having the voice of the community heard, at least we may have a chance at changing their decision – because to me, this is final.
If indeed ANET does go astray from their initial manifesto, I will take my business elsewhere. What I won’t do is sit back quietly and let this go live without letting my voice be heard one way or another.
I think Mike O’Brien himself needs to post on this subject.
Don’t continue throwing your subordinates under the bus, Mike.

I really don’t see how a dot that damages you just for not having the right gear is actually adding any fun or challenge. It’s just a poor compensation for a poor dungeon design team. They really should hire a few guys off Rift to come and fix their dungeons. Its the one thing that game did do well.
Welcome gear treadmill’ like it or not.
It’s the same pathetic attempt to add fictional challenges to a game based on mechanics that cannot be bypassed by normal methods. Instead, they add a fictional new “debuff” that can only be cured by “farming” new gear levels & adding infusions to said gear. Gating, if you will, artificially creates new content that cannot be bypassed until you obtain the proper “key”. Thus, alienating people who don’t have the means, nor the skill to obtain those keys to compete.
Not only that, they are making their previous dungeons obsolete – 3 months into the games lifecycle. I’m boggled & baffled by this.
I thought ANET thought outside the box, with the whole “no-trinity” thing and their manifesto on how their game will be different and skill based. This is not skill, this is just falling back on designs so many other games have implemented previously. It’s sad & pathetic.
What I don’t get, in this day and age where the social reputation of a company is so kitten important to maintain and retain its client base – why would a company flat-out and blatantly lie, mislead and withhold the truth?
The manifesto & many, many interviews (which have all been linked here) have shown that what they are doing now is strictly against what they were trying to promote as their game, the game they made us fall in love with and want to be a part of.
Now with the Lindsay and Chris responses and a whole lot more rhetoric – this company is being dragged through the mud by many social outlets, gaming web sites and more important, by their loyal customers.
This isn’t only harmful for their current customers, this is absolutely devastating for any potential new customers. I brought many people to this game with the impression that once they hit 80 and obtained “max-level” gear, there would be no use for PVE and we could merrily WvW to our hearts content – guess what? I jumped in game last night and was met with a mob of angry people who wanted to talk to me about the direction this game is going. You know what, where I would have defended you in the past, I joined right in with the bashing – because quite honestly I am fed up. I’m contemplating quitting – I know I’ve already lost a lot of my friends with this news and I’m sure communities will shrink even further.
I may or may not be of the majority, but I know how I feel and if this game turns into what I think it will, I’ll just uninstall and move on.
I know for a fact I won’t spend any more RL money on this game – I’m done with that. I don’t support companies that lie & mislead their customers.
I’m sure this will get lost in the shuffle of merging and sweeping under the rug, but I wanted to get that off my chest and be done with it. Thanks.
This is from Chris Whiteside:
Our Studio Design Director Chris Whiteside just posted this:
“I’d like to respond to concerns players have raised about ascended items. Please keep in mind that we’re releasing this as one portion of a massive November update that introduces and improves many aspects of challenge, progression, and rewards. With this and upcoming updates, we view ourselves as introducing large amounts of content with supporting systems and features, akin to an expansion pack, building on Guild Wars 2 through a series of live releases. So it’s important for us to be able to add an expansion pack’s worth of progression and rewards to support that content.
Our goal is not to create a gear treadmill. Our goal is to ensure we have a proper progression for players from exotic up to legendary without a massive jump in reward between the two. We will slowly add the remaining ascended gear items and legendary items in future updates to allow people time to acquire them as we add exciting new content that deserves exciting rewards. We will not be adding a new tier of gear every 3 months that we expect everyone to chase after and then get the next set and so on.
Ascended and infusion rewards will be available in both PvE and WvW over time, and be made available through all sorts of content around the world including existing content. PvP will remain unaffected to ensure our intended PvP balance going forward. We are also working on other reward and progression systems for the game that tie into current and new content and features. As you know we care very much about your support and opinion and are listening intently to what you say.
Finally we look forward to hearing your thoughts on the upcoming content, and we will ensure we share our thoughts with you on the experiences we share in the Lost Shores."
Chris Whiteside – Studio Design DirectorWhile I think everyone appreciates some response, this response doesn’t actually allay any of our concerns.
It mentions bridging the gap between exotic and legendary. However, there is currently no statistical gap, as they are identical.
Implementing this tier of ascended gear is in fact creating a gap between exotic and legendary.
That’s why many of us are scratching out heads at the nature of the response. It uses a lot of words, but never presents evidence that the design approach remains the same.
In essence, it proposes a solution to a problem that’s only created by implementing the solution.
A riddle wrapped up in an enigma, if you will.
I’m pretty sure we will see soon “LFM frac level 10 only, must have asc”. It kinda reminds me of “LFM cof explo war/guardians only please!” except the difference is, the latter is made by a group of noobs who don’t realize you can ideally complete any dungeon with any prof mix-up, and the latter can really be a real, scary, valid reason.
Don’t forget the “Must have minimum Tier 3 Infusion!”
In a game that proudly denounced “LF1M Healer, no CC”. Quite sad I must say.
What’s next? Bringing back the holy trinity? Hell it would be better than this flawed dungeon design philosophy that they have now.
“We’d like to create a create a tier between 150 & 150, so we are increasing 150 to 200 and adding in 175 and putting some shiny things around 175 to entice the ignorant. 200 will be keeping it’s original properties thus weirdly making 175 better and more necessary to do things. Yes we know our actual reasoning for making 175 is fabricated, silly and contradictory to our mission statement. See you at the gem shop” -ANet
Excellent! Bravo sir, you captured it.
A guy said this on another forum
A few quotes from 3 months back about gearing:
“Here’s what we believe: If someone wants to play for a thousand hours to get an item that is so rare that other players can’t realistically acquire it, that rare item should be differentiated by its visual appearance and rarity alone, not by being more powerful than everything else in the game. Otherwise, your MMO becomes all about grinding to get the best gear. We don’t make grindy games — we leave the grind to other MMOs.”
-Mike Obrien, President of ArenanetFun impacts loot collection. The rarest items in the game are not more powerful than other items, so you don’t need them to be the best. The rarest items have unique looks to help your character feel that sense of accomplishment, but it’s not required to play the game. We don’t need to make mandatory gear treadmills, we make all of it optional, so those who find it fun to chase this prestigious gear can do so, but those who don’t are just as powerful and get to have fun too.”
– Colin Johanson
What a crock of kitten. Way to mislead your player base with rhetoric and now back peddling in the latest statements. If I had known this 5 months ago, I wouldn’t have bought this game in the first place. I was lied to and gaining the trust back of your customer base is one of the hardest things to do.
“The vast majority of the ones agreeing are not posting, they just had a smile after reading the news and are playing.”
You got 3 types of people, those that read it and like/hate it and posted here, those that didn’t read up on it, those that don’t care enough about it either way.
Type 1 posted here and the response is overwhelmingly negative.
Type 2 knows from the intro and went “Oh new content.”
Type 3 went “Oh new content.”
Type 4: Those that have no idea what the hell is going on and don’t read the forums at all.
