the thing I really love about this game is that you can just go solo and enjoy yourself and still have the option to run with a group if your feeling more social. better to have options you dont want to use right now, than have no options at all.

Desolation is the unoffical English server. Maybe we should demand all other nationalities to leave.

OP seriously. If you want to do competative W3 then YOU and your ilk move servers to one more suitable. The RPers on that server shouldnt be forced out because of people like you.

i get these all the time while gathering there randomly. Got 2 last evening, and im never lucky with this kinda thing. So they are definatly still dropping.

only skip i proper hate is the jade maw trash. Someone dies and the respawn in the middle of a pack of adds and get mauled again. And ya cant go back to help em so ya have to die yaself.

If peopel want to skip then thats their bag, if you dont want to ya can easily leave and find a group that wants to kill all trash. If it was something Anet didn want they wouldnt put trash on a leash at all.

turning up in MF is basically said player being a selfish kitten. No matter about skill, builds or whatever. Its them basically kitten up the other 4 players backs for their own gain. I agree with this, but. Arah path 1 and 2 are the most fun Ive had in a dungeon. EVER. And it looks AMAZING. If id not lost my card id have dropped 100quid on gems just as a thanks for this EPIC place. I was blown away with AC but this, this is another level.

Just completed path 4 in a pug group. No one had been there before, so we had to work it out. Took a few hours, but best time I’ve had in this game. Amazing how people react when things get hard. Its how makeshift groups react under pressure that keeps me interested in mmorpg. Sadly most challenges are instanced and scripted these days and require no interaction, unlike old school open dungeons where anything can happen. The greatest reward in these games, like in the fantasy novels you read, is a group of misfits coming together to “eventually” hit their target, despite their differences. Rewards are only such if you feel you have earnt it. Hope the game developers remember that, because the artists have truely done a great job!

the entire instance to me was awesome. Then the final battle happened and I was gobstruck at just how lame it was. Anti-climax just isnt powerful enough s word to sum up how disappointed I was with it.

There are several winged creatures within the world. I dont have trouble killing them when they decide I would taste good. Good suggestion. Would be epic if you could float around

btw since the engine supports it look at underwater combat. Flying wouldnt be much of a change. Im not saying it would fit in with 99% of the world but specific areas where its a break from the norm sure would be cool.

We already know this, the problem isnt we dont know where the cash is the problem is there are people who belived the “play the way you want” credo who dont want to spend all day grinding dungeons or fractals for a descent return

400 in 5 crafts dabbled in the others maybe broke even on a few but no way to make money. Sure if i was lucky like the guy that threw 40 daggers at the forge and got dusk yea but knowing my luck it would be like the guy who sank 200 rare swords into the same pit for 0.

Dynamic events sure in october before the nerf bat hit every event that gave you more than porusbone and a few copper.

WvW havent done enough for a resonable comment on the drops.

There are few DE ya can frequent that can earn a fair bit of coin if you dont hit the DR. Ill not mention which cos Id hate for Anet to nurf these too. I pass the info on to guildies and hope that they stay in effect.

to be fair alot of the time its cheaper to buy said items than craft em. Ya could sell the mats for more than the craft. Kinda sad the economy is like this.

Some advice on making gold: use Visa or Credit Card. The game is designed to avoid people from make a good amount of gold. I had stacks of ectos in GW. Stacks. GW2 is designed to make you poor so you buy gold from Anet.

I did like your OP though. We may have difference of opinons but I will confess to nodding my head to most of your suggestions. Think the main problem is that while u say you dont NEED something that dont change that since the game is about cool cosmetics those things cost an arm and a leg. Unless ofc you really like a certain dungeon set.

One piece of advice I would give is that folks shouldnt worry to much about having all exotic gear. The difference between that and rare is slight. get your rare set and just get what ya can when you have enough tokens or cash spare.

Solo farming? Southsun karka slaughter works if you’re a mesmer (Mimic pretty much instajibs them). Unid Dye farming from plants is an option, and if you know where to get the plants that have a high TP demand (There are ones that cost more than Omnoms), it’s a win win.

If you want to play completely alone, and save up a ton of money, well… why are you doing it completely alone anyway. Nothing waiting for you at the end if you have nobody to share it with. Even world farming goes much faster with a group.

Why should standing in one location mashing your keys to kill basic enemies be rewarded as much as teamplay in a more challenging environment like a dungeon?

And trying to imply you if someone likes to farm on their own means they play alone is kinda silly. I personally hate farming with others. I like to plod on at a steady pace while farming. But apprantly Im not allowed to because your on a timer for DR, thats if anything even drops before DR hits. People aint asking for a 1 kill = 1 t6 mat. They are asking for it to be reasonable. Ill say it again. if they dont want people farming. stop with the kittening stupid 250 t6 mats for sodding everything.

I agree in some parts that melee is tougher, but to me its part of the fun. The only major issue I have is the inability to see the mobs animations half the time due to visual effects. they need a slider to give us the ability to see that move thats gonna crush ya skull.

IF you know how to play. by that i mean knowing how to manage your damage mitigation, the most important being dodges.

most noobs just seem to gravitate towards glass cannons though. probably because dps is the easiest class to play in every other mmo. which explains the insanely large number of bad glass cannons.

tie in with the fact that most of these players are looking for a class/build with big numbers which is ‘easy’ to play, and you end up with full zerker 5 signet warriors who have no inkling of how to avoid damage.

and that’s like 90% of the warrior population, i swear.

i’ve only met ONE glass cannon warrior who did well in dungeon runs. let’s be honest here. if you get a warrior in a pug, chances are he is terrible. and it’s because he is running glass cannon. it is one of the more unforgiving builds out there that inexplicably attracts noobs.

I call bullkitten on the last part. Since warriors seem to be the most popular class its safe to assume we have more bad players. But the % stays the same across the board. bad players are bad. Its not a class thing. How come then as a warrior Ive partied with tons of fellow warriors and rarely encounted one Id term as terrible? main problem with warriors is that to many people have read forums without having a single clue that they are harping on about then go echo it elsehwere to try and sound like they know what they are talking about.

I understand the OP’s sentiment but its just buisness on Anets side. They (like us) want more players in the game. New boxes bought = more money in the development fund (hopefully). If the CE was actually worth the upgrade Id have already got it myself, but since its kinda a weak CE Im not suprised they are having to give it away frankly.

As I see it, the reason for these “ghost servers” is mainly WvW.

How about you combine unpopulated servers together to form bigger one?
Why creating so many servers when you dont have enough players to maintain them?

because if those servers are devoid of players in the world due to wvwvw then forcing people all together will really upset those that now cant get into wvwvw. But then again wvwvw only houses 500 from a server right? Thats a small playerbase, but entire guilds could have moved to said server because of that. Its a complicated matter but if players aint happy with their server due to lack of a player base then you can transfer easily.

there is a massive difference between 5sig warriors (which can be devastating in skiled hands) and glass cannons. Im in full zerker gear, traited for straight up death dealing and I run with 2 signets, alot of the times only 1. Elite gets changed depending on the boss to banner.

Glass cannons only become really bad in higher fotm where incoming damage is not so easy to dodge. Most dungeons out there are easily doable with glass cannons. But like any role, if done baddly they will suck.

Ive decided to never report a single bot while DR remains in the game.

Anet stop with trying to squeeze money out of people with GEMs to get gold and Ill probably agree with the OP. Til then no, since a fundamental part of the game is so flawed its painful.

For me exo’s should be a 100% chance for globs. But I do agree something changed as before the patch i saw a higher % of rares dropping and in turn giving ecto’s.
