Personally Im torn about the idea of mounts. I think on one hand they look cool and a speed boost is always welcome. Im not a massive fan of the waypoint system sometimes as u skip so much content to get there fast or ya walk and it takes ages.

Only thing that bothers me are the people crying that mounts will turn the game into WoW. Like thats an actual arguement. Love it or hate it whatever is your bag, but introducing something wow also has and hating it for that sole reason is kinda stupid. WoW didnt invent mounts in MMO’s, they just went the one step further with how many options there is with them.

Instead of mounts lets have some Asura engineered rollerblades? With rocket packs!

the helm is just pure win. I hope they release it cos id LOVE to have that on my female guardian

I want my Norn wench to have a ghetto bootie! As its stands now though they are still nice.

Overall i think that ALL races need more face options (alot look so much alike) and hairstyles, but think that could come with gem purchases further down the road.

I wanted a Charr but I have to agree that that most of the time they look horrendous in armour.

to be fair though mate getting say 2-3gold for one off the TP is alot easier than farming 100k karma. While i understand what your saying, people wouldnt use it unless it was dirt cheap and that kinda messes with the economy.

Since all gear has the same stats the gear grind is the exact same as with dungeons. Only thing that changes is the number of people you go on your adventure with.

This said, I’m no WoW hater, played the game since day one of US release in Nov. 2004, which means I have at least one active WoW account since almost 8 years. I still don’t want to see raids in GW2, because it’s a slippery slope I don’t want this game to head to. That kind of content just doesn’t fit the philosophy of this game.

So you think because WoW has a feature then thats a valid arguement to dimiss it in GW2? Maybe Im just sick of the pretend cool kids hating on wow for no other reason that cos its wow.

We got WoW and a dozen of similar clones since 2004, I’m sick of that, I don’t want this game to slowly become another WoW clone. This way, I can play BOTH games because they are different, specially considering GW2 doesn’t have a sub fee. I have one good AAA game which doesn’t have a raid end game – and I will voice my opinion so that it remains that way.

Maybe, just maybe, you let them enjoy it while you go about doing what you do? or is it to much to ask that other people do something in this game you dont want to do? Maybe Ill ask Anet to get rid of legendary items too since I personally dont want one, and Im kitten if ill have others having them if i dont want it.

How would one manage to guarantee an endless halloween tonic? The ONLY way to get it is to gamble.

like a Dynamic Event does? if thats what you mean I kinda like it. Still requires a minimum of 5 players but scales up with more.

So what about the people who work at peaks times? They paid the EXACT same ammout as you to enjoy this game. You aint a special snowflake that the entire game should revolve around. Get over yourself and accept that other people have different gaming schedules.

I saw a interview about this on gamebreaker tv and Anet basically said. “War dont stop because you decide your tired.” Maybe the exact wording may not be the same but the general jist is.

Granted and tbh I didnt really explain what i meant to well. I dont mean each one is 2 axes or 2 swords etc. I meant you choose 2 of any 1 handed weapon. Maybe I should have spent more time explaining that My bad.

Simple solution would be u get 2 tokens. 2 handed weps cost 2. 1 handed 1. Yay fixed for all

Personally id punish all those that play during the peak times cos some people have to work then to. Infact punish everyone at all times cos there is always someone out the having to do something they dont want to while others are able to play GW2. thats sounds fairer right?

You can form a group to combat this but I still have to agree with the OP, as sometimes you like to solo play while running around an area. You shouldnt be punished for that like in the current system. You cant try to find a group for an individual DE etc.

I dont see how they made such an amazing game and then used the worst camera in an MMo Ive come across. Its awful. Terrible.

Needs addressing and totally agree with the OP.

Please can folks give Anet their individual play times so they know when they should cater the game for their every need.

Never tried to say i was perfect at the game. But on the otherhand I aint a whiny cry baby that cant dodge and wants to spam 111111111 til a boss is dead.

ive seen mobs reset and go invulnerable after they move 10 yards from their start location while some will gladdly chase you across half the bloody map lol. Its kinda annoying sometimes but not that gamebreaking.

Story is for the player, it’s instanced and kept separate.

There are plenty of other places to find hard challenges (WvW, PvP, soloing dungeons), getting snarky with casual players because they don’t want the arcady try-die-try-die cycle isn’t helpful and just glib. Great if you don’t have problems with the story as is. Good for you. Perhaps an option to choose your difficulty for story as we had for missions in GW1? Have Heroic, Normal, Easy. Those who like their games hardcore, can have the grindy, arcady challenge they want, those who want to complete the story without the hassle can choose Easy. It’s instanced specifically for the player, so no skin of anyone else’s nose if one player chooses Easy and the other Heroic.

Id have ZERO problem with that idea. But an overall nurf that ruins it for those still wanting a challange just to cater for the few that cant manage it is BS. If it was sooooo difficult as to be silly then yeah I could understand a nurf. But it isnt.

And fyi a casual player dont = bad player, or one that wants things made easier. Ive seen many insanely skilled players that only play casually while on the other end seen some shocking players that consider themselves hardcore.

While it is indeed sarcasm its also true.

Today all i kept getting in map chat was “where is Holgrave” over and over and over. And not just by warriors but all classes. Btw Holgrave is the dude that u see for your fancy Pact weapon on story completion. So folks saying its impossible are infact plain wrong. If it was then all these people wouldnt need to find that particular NPC.

Being crap at GW2 dont bare you from the story. It just makes it harder. Ive come across stuff in story that was a pain in the hoop. Guess what. I died. Rezzed and ran right back into the fray. If this happens a few times I dont begrudge it, i accept it as part of being involved in saving the world.

Its a basic dilema. The pact weapons look sooooooooooo cool. There are to many to choose from that are simply awesome.

The issue is we get ONE token. But all these choices. I cant spend the one token I have beacuse I fear i may feel I choose the wrong one

Is the any other way to obtain these tokens, now or in the future? Cos i want a full set for my warrior.

i got my token the other day (i didnt even know ya got one for completing the story). Since i already had exotic weapons I looked at the sweet looking skins instead. Those crying that it should be an exotic kinda need to stop with it.

The reward is what it is. Deal with it and stop acting like children.

when you have read as many books as us oldies have storylines everyone seem to have been done before is all. Younger kids havent seen them all hence why they still feel fresh to them. Well thats my theory anyways

for looks i love the DC Universe Online styles way. Maybe use a transmute stone to have it store to your style tab. Would be alot nicer than the current way when u need to destroy a style to make room for another.

I liked mounts when I played WoW, loved em infact. Would they destroy GW2? No. But Id prefer to not have them. Or if they later decided to add then at least make them limited in some way.

One thing Ive always wanted to see is mounted combat. Imagine WvWvW when you round a corner and 100 cavalry were bearing down on you. It would be EPIC. So there id love to see them. But in the PVE world not so much.

And I wish the dumplings spouting off about copying wow. Sort your heads out. Shall we get Anet to do away with the risen cos folks may think Arthas may arrive soon too? Waaaa wow has something so I need to pretend Im cool and hate on it. Plebs

The fact that its f2p makes expansions critical for prolonged life expectancy of the game. Ive played about 600 hours and have 3 lvl 80s.

One thing that is annoying me is that if a dungeon dont have a skin you like most avoid it. The game does need more at endgame (and no i dont need to watch a youtube video of some patronizing pleb). Its needs more of a progression than skins to truly last imo. Gear dont have to be a massive increase but at least let it progress some.

Just have a WvWvW currency that you earn through capturing stuff, defending and defeating other players. With that you purchase the plans. Blue Karma if ya like

Sounds like someone wants to sit in a corner going over their rotation while pretending to be l33t to me. The games designed like this and it works fine.

On Desolation there is a train of warriors running in a nice formation just endlessly farming mobs. Wouldnt be suprised if thats one of the reason the Pact Morale event is now bugged. Never seen it before those bots turned up.

think its fair to say that if these are ruining events and Anet dont pull their finger out soon. People will get fed up and leave.

I post this after trying to find one shiled on a female norn to not look completely ridiculous. If I dont cover her head with a helm her hair is through all shields and just looks horrific.

This isnt just an issue with norn female exclusive. Shields constantly being oddly placed and clipping shoulders, long hair characters seem to have this issue. I mean come on, with such a wonderful beautiful game and armours why have it ruined by this clipping?

I cant even play with my guardians shield as it offends my eyes

Why is there even DM on stuff thats only sodding cosmetic anyways. Let people play the game as they like.

If you are going to do a DM system make its crystal clear and most of all. WORK PROPERLY

my question is this
If you have say 3 level 80 toons and all do the dungeon once per day. Is the 1st run on each toon eligible for the bonus?

I bought GEMs a few times now with zero hassle, but since the whole system went down and came back up again it dont seem to be working properly. I tried from 4000 to 800 gems and all fail due to a card issue. I was able this morning to buy 800 finally but that was all.

odviously since I knew there was more than enough money in my account to cover this I was a tad worried and made a trip to the bank to confirm that there was nothign wrong with the account. There wasnt anything wrong at my end and more than enough money there to pay for said purchase.

yet still I cant purchase anymore gem. Can someone (hopefully a dev) enlighten me to the problem.

Everyone with any sense knew what they were getting into when they purchased the game. Anet clearly stated time and again that there will be no “Holy Trinity” and anyone who either didnt listen or had their head in the sand cant really complain.

The games all about fast paced action. Where one second your mashing up the mob the next your praying for a swift rez before the hammer drops on your head. The whole concept is that you WILL get downed. You will be defeated. But that dont mean your done. Some of the dungeons may be a little OTT witht eh damage some mobs do but thats a diffeent discussion and frankly is just a slight tuning issue.

On the whole the system is a breath of fresh air, and Im loving it.
