Well EnMasse killed Tera by merging all the server into three, making us change our names/guild names, ruining the world PvP by having to many safe zone which also ruined the GvG system they had as well, making the nexus event 3 times a day everyday (basically u still thee and lag for an hour to go to a 15 min raid which MIGHT drop a piece of loot u want), making all the PvE gear BoE so it’s pointless to do the content just farm and buy it, Making the SINGLE battleground everyone zerg to each point, making most instance in the game have bugs to where u can avoid the actual fights completely, not listening to the community, and killing the economy with the vanity items. Waited on that game to come out in English for 2 years, I played on the Korean server, I should have stayed there. The community on Tera is just awful.

God I have to agree there with the horrendous community there. It was full of nerdraging fanboi’s or total pleb haters. It was hard to have any kind of balanced discussion at all, everything turned into a flame war. The elitism was off the scale. The game itself was beautiful, combat system was immense. The problem was (as a euro player) gameforge were terrible. A sub based game with hardly any updates, anything they managed to get round to implimenting they plain old made a pigs ear off.

Id like to be able to buy both versions. My zerker set of gear looks so much cooler with the non glowing sword and I get disappointed when its glowing while in that build.

Since Legendary weapons are going to keep pace with the latest current top tier gear. When acended weapons drop, all legendaries will be getting upgraded. So in a sense the pay to win option would be in effect if the OP got their wish.

well to be fair (I really want a good LFG system to) the lfg site is alot easier to create than an actual ingame tool. The thing is will they set requirements to queue for things? Will AR be set per level so you dont have people with no AR trying to piggy back on those that have it etc. The system may sound simple, but Im willing to bet a good system wont be quite as easy as we would think.

I heard acended gear cant be used while farming or outside FOTM at all. Its true, really it is.

Everybody needs to contribute with dmg along other stuff (support,heal) since there are no dedicated roles.

When half of the players go down because of a Champ’s ROFLstomp, that plan goes out the wayside. The OP was right to res as many downed players as he could to keep them in the game and dealing damage. I’m sure when there weren’t a bunch of players down, the OP was dealing damage, but the game should still take into account that he contributed to damage dealt by keeping other players up on their feet.

If OP dealth damage then he tagged champion thus engaged himself, which qualify him for chest. On other hand if all he did was running around rezzing people without tagging mob he practically didnt sign up for event…

I like the dungeons as they are. Only thing they should really change is what you can spend tokens on. Its been mentioned in other threads a few times about expensive mats being available purchasable with tokens, and i agree.

The whole divide was a MASSIVE mistake, along with the AR concept. But it would seem they are trying to address that now with lowering the mats beend to infuse rings, and helping rings not been a complete lottery with the new token and rings purchase thing.

My real major gripes about the game atm is the farming DR thing. Its down to people to decide for themselves if they want to farm. SHouldnt be down to Anet being greedy and trying to make an expensive economy to attract more gem sales.

lack of a LFG is killing off half the world due to people reluctant to leave LA.

To many sodding bugs littered around that should have been concentrated on before adding new things. Even though I know big shiny events distract some from this, but alot of people think you dont care about the bugs and ignore them to move onto something more shiny. Long lasting games fix first, impliment additional things later.

Since the u already bought the game it cost ya nothign to dive right back in and take a look for yourself. Some cool stuff is inplace now. Still alot of issues but the games new and hopefully Anet have their iron nice and hot to get rid of the pesky wrinkles.

One player is using his abilities and contributing to the group’s success, the other is autoatacking… But hey, you beat the dungeon, so it’s fine that the other guy did pretty much absolutely nothing, right?

Damage meters are something you have to take the good with the bad. They help in letting you play at your best, since they’ll let you compare your damage of different abilities and rotations. They’ll let you catch the guy contributing nothing to the group. But there IS the bad side, the fact that most people just don’t understand how to read that information and what it actually means.

When it comes to damage meters in most games (even WoW), if you contribte your fair share to the fight, then you have nothing to worry about. If you’re actually trying, most people aren’t going to rage at you because your damage wasn’t overpowered enough. I’m willing to bet that most of the people against damage parsers are the ones that autoattack, that don’t understand their abilities and what they do, and stuff like that. Stuff people should grasp before grouping in these games.

And Id be willing to bet you would lose that bet. Some people just cba listening to the plebs spouting endless crap due to a meter. We all know for a fact all that would happen would be braindeads harping on about their derps while some poor dude had to be support and got harrassed due to lower DPS. If people really need DPS meter (aka kitten extentions) then the fault lays with not partying with people you trust.

My guess would be that the 30 ppl were there farming the jp for badges and messing with the op was something to occupy time while waiting on those to re-roll and get through intro’s on new toons. Tbh gift of battle is broken imo since most obtain it via the jp’s and not actually competing in wvw.

They do so cos 90% of the time ya dont even get badges for killing people.

Yeah, I too have accumulated well over 500.000 Karma since getting my Legendary and it’s just sitting there.

I always liked the idea of Karma being a universal currency for buying almost anything. T6 Mats, Rare items etc. should all be purchasable for Karma.

If we could buy a rare item for about 6000 Karma and T6 Mats for like 1000 per Mat it would do a lot of balance out the economy and make it less susceptible to market manipulators.

It would also mean that playing the game in a natural way would also be a viable way to farm anything.

For me thats what the monthy is about. Not so much as forcing people to do things they dont like but giving them a reason to go. Im not a fan of WvWvW in its current form but due to the monthly I went to get it done (which is optional) and for once I ended up having a blast. A very hard and close fought battle was in effect and I was in the middle of it tearing it up and having a whale of a time. If not for the monthly Id never have had that experiance.

I agree with this and would say it would also be funky to see proper swimwear. Walking along the beach in Southsun with my shades and bhamuda (spelt totally wrong I suspect) shorts. Bright lime green shorts ofc!

The people pulling the money strings at Anet would see this as a perfect way to force gem sales. Nurf X class into the ground, buff Y class to be OP. Gems get sold to X class to become Y class. Month down the road, “balancing” patch hits and the mad scramble to become the new fotm starts again. Rinse, repeat and ya got lots of shiny moneies to make the magpies happy.

well since they just made hair styles kits bought with gems im 101% sure they aint going to change it at all.

Ive got a lvl 80 engi in full exo. It feels weaker than my warrior by miles and thought it was the class. Spoke to a friend who was a main engi and turns out Im just rubbish as it. Seems people mistake broken classes for l2p issues.

Great, could you share the l2p factors that puts your engi on par with your warrior. I have both and there is really no comparison. Could you help me l2p?

I didnt say I was any good at engi. If you an re-read maybe you will work that out since I made it quite clear. I have massive l2p issues on it. But as I said just because Im clueless and crap at it dont mean the class then is. But someone I play alongside is more than capable. Maybe not brute DPS wise but in utility he dont seem to have any issues and since he is in the late 20’s in fotm Ill take his word for it over a bunch of forum whiners.

If you want to learn the class properly head over to the engi forums. Im sure they will help you out more.

Anet need to put more appealing stuff in the gem store and stop using farming as a way to force folks to buy gold. The whole DR is a BS excuse to force people to guy gold. They didnt do this to combat bots, and if thats an actual truthful statement then its totally idiotic. Combat bots, dont punish your players.

if I wanna farm to craft something it shouldnt take 75+ hours of farming to get 250 t6 mats. I ended up getting the back that was cheapest and not the best stats wise for my build just so I could have some AR before I got my rings.

If their policy is to have a game thats casual friendly then why are the mats dropping once in a blue moon and the ammount needed to craft is through the roof? So casual gamer = bottomless wallets now?
