I also find it funny with all the chest pumping SOR does about how it’s respectful and doesn’t pay for guilds etc. I was still on JQ when TW transferred for a week or 2 when SOR dropped down to T2. Sure it was for better fights, but to ask or demand that JQ pay for their transfer? Quite funny actually. The post is still there, sitting in the JQ leadership section with Indo’s requests.

In relation to gold buying guilds :-

In general, JQ is not in the business of buying guilds. However, individual guilds are at free liberty to do what they like.

JQ’s recruitment’s driving force is to get guilds that want to join a server that can remain loyal to the JQ server. It is for these reason why we have the strongest core guild and players. In the end this will benefit all guilds in JQ.

Whilst we understand and are aware that gold is being flashed to guilds to transfer over, the Wagon mentality has caused so many servers to crash in the end.

Fuzzion you are completely wrong on this point.

SoS fell not because it was a bandwagon but because it was the exact opposite.

SoS had good even coverage and it’s guilds were ahead of the meta of the time, but was dependent completely on; AoI, Agg, FoE, Tysm, MERC.

But it fell down when 2/4 main NA guilds abandoned it, leading to a severely outnumbered NA timezone and a Oc timezone logging in to -90 ppt (paper) only to be outmanned 4:1 on every map come SEA.

To mention the mega stack that JQ was becoming at the time and basically half of SoS had to go BG to even begin to possibly counter how large JQ had become. It took quite a while for BG to get it’s first win against JQ and was months later before BG began to be able to win again. I would say JQ’s transfers destroyed SoS, not this mythic “bandwagon effect”.

@Fannwong – WM vs MERC vs FoO was the T1 dynamic back when SBI fell, I believe it was the removal of WM from this dynamic which was the fall of SBI. Indeed was not any form of “bandwagon” I find it hypocritical of a JQer to call any server a bandwagon server.

I can tell you this, if SoR and BG 2v1’d JQ during SEA you would see the same result as we’re seeing this week, happens to all of us.

JQ SEA is not as big as people believe, JQ gets away with a lot through the BG / SoR hatred and the fact all JQ flock behind Waha and it is a map zerg no matter the time Waha could command a map queue through EU into EST NA if he chose to. All our SEA’s are the relatively the same size you delude yourselves into thinking they aren’t.

I’m sure this is in incomplete list, but I’m going off the “Appears in WvW more than once a week”

If you ran through the numbers on any given night one can queue more maps than the other. From what I’ve seen the only map BG has been capable of a queue on all week has been the map with the MERC float in it.

NYS, MERC, ATM et al are big guilds capable of fielding big numbers but all it takes is a 2v1 during SEA to make it all come crumbling down, this isn’t because numbers but because these 3 guilds are incredibly skilled and the numbers issue comes into play because sure you can wipe one of them, but you cannot wipe them both effectively in order to defend your objective, you engage NYS outside Woodhaven, ATM is already hitting garrison or Cragtop, the same would happen on any BL.

I note; notice nights if MERC, ATM or NYS don’t show up (very rare) which ever of these 3 doesn’t turn up the respective server usually gets rolled.

Its even funnier that you think you have a small SEA force.

Comparing to BG’s it’s smaller indeed (maybe except for the past few days, when BG’s SEA forces suddenly all disappeared under 2v1).

Think all of BG, not just SEA is farming the new event lol… I don’t think they mind letting 1 week go after winning 5 weeks straight.

That’s a convenient excuse for sure. In fact as evidenced by Cuddle’s latest score update from Sunday on page 5 of this very thread SOR could have used that very excuse being down 13k ppt when the weekend was drawing to a close. But as expected, SOR just keeps bringing it, they don’t let the ppt score get them down. BG on the other hand is a different story, when the going gets tough expect the thread to turn quickly with accusations and excuses.

Not making excuses but I haven’t been in WvW all week, mainly because of work but I logged in each day to CS currently in your CS chattin’ it up.

But I will point out to you, SoR lost last week, the event started last week, SoR has already farmed the hell out of it and had fun with it same for JQ (being in T3 500+ ppt..), BG on the other hand had yet to enjoy it, therefore this week I am.

Naw, no drama at all don’t even try to start them rumours up.

What you saw on Sunday night flowing onto Monday morning/night is 6 weeks of winning vs 3 weeks of pvdoor morale raising vs 3 weeks of being smashed.

BG is fatigued + new PvE event a lot of guilds/players are probably still farming Cursed shore / frostgorge. I expect this will turn around eventually but either way, WvW is won by morale not numbers, as much as people would have you believe (at least T1 is anyway).

Haha you’re so ridiculous. You can try to pretend there’s no 2v1 going on but when both other servers are literally standing next to each other it becomes less of an excuse and more of just a fact.

That’s fine though. The same thing happens every time JQQ comes back up to T1 from being punked down to T2. They come up, fired up, focus on BG with SOR for a few weeks and BG drops in rankings. Eventually JQQ grows a pair and attacks SOR only to tumble ever downward back into T2 because without the SOR team up they can’t hack it in T1. This has gone on forever now and has been happening as long as the Henge of Denravi days.

Say what you will about TC and DB, at least they played to win.

Torras, JQ always been decent, unfortunately today BG had no queues on any maps and did suffer severely from the 2v1. Not that it happens all the time but it hurts when it does happen.

@Starscream all I got from that was that Wrex smokes some heavy weed in regards to “SoR been 2v1’d all day” lols.

All the mad, coming home tonight and 1am > 3:30am tonight in SoR BL, running 5-10 people (non-MERC) was hilarious attacking hills and watching the 30 man group come in to clean us up only to lose the keep 5mins later.

Then 3 people on south bay opening it up for [SG], I hope you enjoyed your bay cap.

Our PPT increase during SEA time is always dependent on IRON’s aid in SEA. IRON can hold both SM and bay in BG BL while at the same time cap things in EB and BG BL, making us increase from 150-200 ppt to 250-300ppt, on par or slightly lower than BG.

Not playing that card in it’s fullness but we have been dealing with the true SoR forces the last 2 nights. SoR has much SEA coverage, but complains so much and has this attitude where they tell their SEA not to try so they don’t. What you are seeing is your SEA trying, it is a bit of a shock to us the last two days, I’m sure it will get better for us (BG) over the next two days but please don’t play that bull “1 commander on all maps” you troll.

You denegrade the efforts of IRON, SAHP, NYS, GC, HiRE, SONG, SEC, AL, HS, XPK and the up early FEAR/TW et al with these comments, you have SEA boost their morale don’t crush it with bs complaints like this.

Clock man, stop taking everything personally, not defending, but his statement there was towards in general, the image SoR tried to build for themselves which, all the recent posts and focus on GvG and guilds specific with complete disregard and no respect to the rest of the “non-guilded” server as a whole.

Well what I find, is I bring magnets, put them either side of the LA portal, queue up and usually within 2 minutes I’ve pulled some Asura’s out of the gates (meaning they are out of wvw so my queue pops)

I personally love people who think just because I play the game I know how it works and what needs to be fixed.
