My favourite was when I was running into hills south gate, I lagged ever so slightly for 5 seconds I was still running up the stairs to the portal but on everyone elses screen I had ran off the side of the cliff and everyone followed me, half the zerg died that day, I laughed my kitten off, even the most experienced MERCs fell off the cliff that day.

one of these weeks, everyone should take work/school/IRL off (if we don’t already) and play against each other 24/7 with respect to your “timezones”. and see how that plays out. just. for. kicks.

had a day off yesterdayD so tuesday is the new monday for this week. bah, mondays.

That’s just not going to happen as right now a lot of people now have university holidays. Therefore, those useless bums (umm I mean, uni students) will pretty much play whenever as they tend to have work on the weekends and not during the week.

There is def people that do that trust me someone in my guild has stayed up for 4 days strait, he also has 7 legendaries to show for because of the long hours he plays and someone else in my guild has 11 legendaries. Not sure if she stays up late but assuming she does.

If they find that a fulfilling way to spend life, good on them. I just wasn’t impressed by the personal tone of Jahns post, in that it made an assumption that I am unemployed and play games 20 hours per day. I have 2 jobs, and go to uni full time – since the holidays have started a lot of people including myself have more free time and a few of us chose to play games for whatever reason. Knock off the statements about RL unless you actually have a clue.

Main force running in this “EU” time slot is MERC lol, Tarkus is still tagged up and its 5;30am for him, 3:30am for SEA, I’m heading to bed. For early morning he’s still pretty chipper.

What your seeing is a flow on from SEA with everyones keeps other than ours being paper and we’re just flipping it with a float team. Give it another 30mins and the SEA/Oceanic players will be asleep, then you’ll have your “real EU”.

MERC has a tag up minimum 9 hours a day, we don’t know what overtime is, do you get paid for it?

Our Raid time starts 3pm GMT+8/5pm AEST at 12am GMT+8 (SEA) is official end of raid sort of… but is never so, we’re ppt addicts what can we say . We’re a big guild, with many commanders all on different schedules, works out well for us.

Edit: MERC is still recruiting join up guys nightly fun following Charr Daddy, Giant Octopus Mage Girl, Lord Hammerathy (the hair), Papa Veld and his Terets, Batman and the Ravytrain!

Ya burl, we currently do because Tarkus/myself/Ralikh stay up late because we want to give our EU/EST NA something to play with, but is unsustainable and we’re not just going to stop and tell NA to deal with it, we’re nice people so we try to help out as much as possible until things change for the better.

MERC is the only Oceanic force that runs every day on BG.

CA is a new guild, started recently which plays through Oceanic with us, their help is much appreciated.

MERC fields 10-20 during Oceanic and in fact fields our biggest numbers in SEA not Oceanic.

I like when people call BG stacked and the aforementioned “powerhouse” we are but I think people love to make statements without looking up past match ups, yes BG won by 21k this week, because we put in the effort, I went to bed late most nights to ensure this (cause I was sick and off work for a few days).

But if you look at the scores of the last 7 weeks, since SoR received IRON:

Week 19 – 57k win,
Week 20 – 56k win,
Week 21 – 35k win,
Week 22 – 50k win,
Week 24 – 19k win,

Week 25 – 21k loss – BG STACKED

I have a feeling its only going to get worse now with the even bigger EU coverage of SoR, enjoy the PvDoor.

@Offski we do not dominate Oceanic timeslot, MERC logs in with 10-20 during Oceanic and we are instantly fighting full map zergs of HiRE, NYS, AFS and uplate NA guilds. We logged in last week, starting 20/30mins later than 5pm East Coast time and we had lost our garrison twice, don’t give me that bull kitten about us dominating Oceanic, we fight an uphill battle outnumbered every night and push through into Euro time slot because we want our NA to inherit something that you don’t pvdoor it all.

Yeah Resonance there’s also a reason you got unceremoniously kicked from MERC for being full r3t@rd.

Warbanners are definitely in need of a change, people have mentioned zerging in here what is true zerging? Pushing your forces into a keep and being forced to put 15 ppl on each portal to stop warbanner warriors and zerglings from the other server which has as many people as you pouring in from spawn over and over, feeding you bags, but impossible to take keep.

Winning in the open field is a lot different than sieging keeps full of ACs. Just cause you win a fight, doesn’t always equal ppt.

And its obvious something was done, overtime or not, who really cares. If its truly a coverage thing then grats, doesn’t make sense you don’t tick like this everyday, though.

Thanks for the fights this evening SoR/JQ in BG bl, the engagements with NYS and ATM were great with a lot of bags for both sides. kitten , it was tight in some of the engagements- i.e. bay being swiss cheese. Thanks for coming out in open field guys.

Well we all love sieging garrison or bay etc but when there is a map zerg inside with more warbanners then players it can get sadly messy. Not messy as in chaotic but as in only reason you cannot cap is due to warrior using endure pain and popping a War Banner on the lord. Not sure if Anet intended this to be the case in the game, but discuss!

Change 1: War Banners not res lords.

Change 2: Have War Bannered Lord not reset the ticker, have the tick reset periodically approx every 5 minutes maybe.

Change 2: Create an ICD on Warbanners like Righteous indignation and have Lords not be able to be chain res’d with Banners.

Change 3: Make Lords like players and he can only rally 5-10 times before he goes down for good (obviously has a respawn timer like other guards).

Change 4: Have the War Banner only restore 50% of the Lord’s health points meaning its more than just one person who has to res him.

Just a few suggestions, would like to hear what Anet / other players think.

We spent too much of SEA tonight on JQ BL defending our WP’d Hills, allowing SoR to backcap BG BL fighting the good fight against ATM. Though I think you missed our 385 ppt oceanic

If you like being 2v1’d all night, join BG.

If you like being opportunists and taking points while the other two servers fight, join SoR.

If you like having free reign because of the two above reasons during SEA join JQ.

I recommend you look at FA, TC, DB or Maguuma. Just keep in mind whatever you pick, you will almost certainly be PvDooring with 400 transfers in the Oceanic/SEA/Euro timezone.

BG has queues till about 5 hours after reset on average and then from there on week days and Sundays our queue times are usually quite minimal often only being BG BL and EB which are queued. There is always a map open during the week days, today we were outmanned in Eternal Battlegrounds (Sunday night), queues vary but unless you are a reset only guild you won’t have many issues with queues or a shortage of fights against the massive Sanctum of Rall NA on Blackgate.

I (like most people on JQ) was far to busy killing everything labeled “Dragonbrand” to even notice there was a third server there last week. Are you telling me it was BG? And that BG scored more points than we did? Heh, who would of known… certainly not anyone on JQ. But hey, keep farming those PUGs in EB and feeling awesome, cause JQ doesnt usually have any orgainized guilds there. But should you want an actual challenge, feel free to go to a real map, like JQ BL, where you own nothing.

I also remember this “real map” being blue for the entirety of last week.

I think what did it was when I actually had someone from BG jump off the cliff and kill himself instead of trying to fight me 1v1… pretty much set the tone for the tier.

Maybe he was just a pacifist and couldn’t stomach the thought of killing you, but knew you’d try kill him so he took the noble route.

I hope we have many more matchups! DB’s SEA puts up much more of a fight than SoR’s ever has, TFV fields massive numbers is fun to fight them.

His record is 19 kills 0 deaths, people talk about zerging etc lol thats what they put skill 5 in for. If you keep moving and are constantly on the run you don’t die, figure out where the heals are and use them like clockwork. Also DODGE

I’m 22/25 win/game ratio and loving it (2 losses due to awayfromkey team yes… :P) its a game of mechanics/teamwork, see an enemy chasing your friend, make them pay for it, vice versa don’t over dedicate to a kill, stay alive.
