Well looks looks it is going to be a long boring/frustrating week. people really hate wakeing up every day to everything being lost and having to start all over again. by tuesday morning i bet half of TC and SBI just say screw it and go level an alt or something.

looks like this is happening in many tiers and will probably take a while for tiers to balance back out.

i just hope that by mid match we will still have enough people to field at least one BG and can get some good fights in.

Hopefully they will be smarter about that and base it off damage done and divided to the group. example you solo kill 1000 points. . group of 5 kills someone each gets 200 points. you hit someone once or twice in a zerg run over its more like 20 points.

It worked in DAOC

well it would need to be a more complex system than just damage done. other wise we will be asking where did all the support builds go.

There are actually some sweet spots with the proper gear where you’re relatively powerful when upscaled in WvW. The primary reasons upscaled people are weak are that they’re less experienced, don’t have max gear for their level, and don’t have access to traits. The first two are entirely on the player for learning how to equip and play their profession, the last one is the primary level based power scaling method in WvW. What do you propose is changed?

really not sure what they could do. it may be just like you said. maybe people are not keeping gear up to date as they lvl which might be throwing things off. but just seems like i hit them way harder than i do others.

just a list of things i would like to see some time in the near future.

these first 4 are general and not WvW specific.

1. a side bar that we can place food, siege plans, minis, sharping stones and such on.

2. to be able to put permanit markers on the map.

3. like to be able to set up different key binds per character, i like to try and keep similar abilities on same keys.for example rangers warhorn speed buff is on #5 and warriors is on #4, would be nice to remap these to same key. would be even better if we could remap based on weapon so we could do this even further. example warrior, i use axe/shield and rifle. axe snare is #3 rifle snare is #2. this isn’t to important but something i would like to see sometime.

4. duels along with a full customizable combat log. some people like to duel while waiting for other things like ques,someone to log on and such. i would like them as this would be the best way to figure out the mechanics of certain abilities and traits and see which ones are and aren’t working as stated on tool tip.

WvWvW

1. betters drops. I like WvW and will keep doing it. however the drops need to be better and have a higher drop rate. in PvE i can make about 6 times the amount of gold per hour than i can in WvW. also pve doesn’t require you to buy siege or upgrade towers/keeps. also if someone is lvl 80 they shouldn’t be getting lvl 5 drops. As it is anyone that only does WvW might be able to get a legendary about the time GW3 comes out.

2. would like to be able to see enemies names. until this is added would also like an option to toggle enemies server name to an abbreviated form.

3. keeps should not be contested from trebbing (unless outer wall is down). enemy players should have to be in a certain range.

4. The guys that are lvled up need to be adjusted. the lvled up guys just die way to quick.

5. new armor and weapon skins. also think there should be a vendor that sells the dungeon only crafting drops for badges. for example if someone wants an ascended back they are forced to run the fractals over and over.

6. swords on the map need to only apply to PvP action. swords should show up only if a player is attacking a dolyak, supply camp or another player. players killing the local wildlife or the wildlife attacking other NPCs should not set off swords.

7. Commander tags. i think there needs to be options for these. i would like there to be a way to change the color and in doing so changes who can see it. for example blue: leave as is, red: only guild members can see it, green: only squad members can see the icon.

8. siege plans to be account bound.

9. WvW tab. it would be nice to have a map feature on this that people could view from outside the WvW zones. also would be good if it gave the number of friendlies in each map. this would allow groups that are about to go into WvW know where they might best be needed.

If I could only choose 1 fix:

Reduced damage intake for pets from AoE. (also mentioned by others)

lol well technically you went off topic yourself as OP ask which bug you would like fixed and you responded with a buff you would like, not a bug fix.

the one bug that i would like fixed is short bow 3 (quick shot) a lot of times my ranger jumps straight up and down instead of backwards. no i wasn’t on an incline. seems to mainly happen if target is in melle range.

In that case I find myself agreeing with you completely. As far as I know, the only ‘burst mobility’ we have is the Greatsword’s Swoop. No weapon, utility or elite ability we have provides any burst mobility besides Swoop. It’s depressing, truly.

well the sword #2 can be used for mobility also. the main problem is that these abilities are affected by cripples and chills, and rangers on demand condition removal pretty much sucks.

started lvling my thief(like 42 now) and just off the top of my head i can think of 4 abilities for mobility that she has that are not affected by snares.

with draw
short bow 5
roll for initiative

so yes i would have to agree the rangers evasion and mobility isn’t even close to a thief.

How is Ranger Now?

I find it amusing that one of our best and most popular skills (Lightning Reflexes) has a duplicate skill in the thief utilities which is, in many ways, superior. Lightning Reflexes has a shorter cooldown (important), a little bit of damage and 10 seconds of vigor, which can be really good (and unlike some other stun break skills, it’s disabled by knock downs). Roll for Initiative removes three conditions (including one which makes this skill useless) and restores the thief class resource which would be like cutting all cooldowns by 50%. I get that they are supposed to be different and the ranger one has it’s own unique taste, and it’s certainly far from useless (but this has as much to do with the crappy range of utilities as it has to do with this skill being any good), but it’s weird that the thief one is a lot better in many ways. If I’m looking for evasion, I want to get away, not do damage, the thief skill just does that better (although vigor is useful) and the resource gain from roll is just gravy.

It’s situations like that that remind me that even with all the issues that the pet has, seeing a utility that is one of our best and seeing it compare poorly to another class’s utility of the same nature, the ranger needs so much more work to be up to par with the other classes, it’s not just the pet that needs help. They have a lot of work to do.

what i find even more amusing is that along with having a better version of LR, is that they have a heal that does they same thing (minus initiative gain) on a 15s cool down. and as far as i have seen most thieves don’t even use them because they have better options for their class.

so in short their trash skills are better than what we have.

How is Ranger Now?

we have had a few minor tweeks that improved us a little. i think in combat mobility is where we need some help. i started messing around on my thief some. shes like lvl 22 now. there are 3 abilities she has that i would run a bus full of nuns off the road to have them on my ranger

1.our lightning reflex to work like their roll for initiative :roll backwards recover from crippled, chilled and immobilize.

2. the heal withdraw : roll backwards while healing and evade attacks, removes immobilize, chilled and cripple 15 sec cool down

3. caltrops : bleed plus a 10 sec cripple, i would give up all my traps for this one.

We want the Ranger to have some of the evasion enjoyed by the Thief, as well as the mobility other classes employ. The class is able to deal physical or condition damage, and it can do this in melee or at range.

that was part of a quote from Mr Sharp. i think skills like these are what is need to achieve this, and help rangers to not be forced into a melle tank build to compete.

Badges of Honor, I hate you.

I have never had an issue with badges. From my experience, being in a zerg = very few loot bags = very few badges. Being in a smaller group = a loot bag for every kill = lots of badges.

Problem is hanging around in a blob.

this what i have noticed also, sometimes i like to go around with the blob and help blow stuff up, mainly when watching something on TV at the same time

but when i do things like help watch/take supply camps that most the times is done with smaller groups of 10 or so you seem to get a bag for each kill.

i tallied my badges with the one item i bought plus all in the bank came out around 1400. i only have a little over 9k kills which comes out to around 1 badge for every 6.5 kills. now granted some came from keep lords and such so probably closer to 1 per 8 kills.

also i saw some guy mention making siege plans account bound. i too wish they would do this. however there is a work around.

1)get a friend and go to one of the WvW maps.
2)double click a blueprint, but instead of using 1 to deploy it or 2 to put back in your bag, hit your weapon swap button. this will cause the box in your hands to fall to the ground. your friend then can pick it up and use 2 to put it in his bags.
3)repeat till your friend has all you blueprints then come into the map with your main and he can repeat the process.

I no this isn’t optimal but until they change them to account bound it is all we have.

Stealth needs to drop on damage

as much as i hate fighting thieves because of the culling i don’t think this would be a good idea. yes it does suck when they are only revealed for like .5 to 1 sec in between stealth however this means they would never get to stealth.

how about a compromise with them, maybe change a few skills to reveal thieves and put like a 4 sec debuff that keeps them from stealthing.

could put this on one of my rangers traps, on one of the necros marks or maybe one of their wells so they wouldn’t be forced to use a staff. also maybe add to one of the engis turrets.

Any Jan/Feb plans for Longbow?

I know Anet isn’t one for spoilers, but I’d love to know if there’s going to be any work done to our Longbow.

Personally, I’d love to see Long Range Shot’s cast time reduced to a 1/2 second cast time as opposed to a 3/4 second. (If you don’t know how fast 1/2 a second is, it would be same cast time as our “Point Blank Shot” which currently has a 1/2 second cast time.)

well the 3/4 attack speed would be fine if it indeed was this fast. however it isn’t. the longbow speed is really 1.25 sec cast time.

a simple test is to just find a mob that is obstructed. i did it from a tower wall in EB.
start auto fire with long bow then use healing spring as a timer(30 sec cd). just count the number of shots you get off in that 30 sec. if it was .75 like stated on tool tip you should get 40 shots off. i did it a few times and every time i got 24 shots off and was just starting the 25th when timer on healing spring was up.

Able to Finish Player while Stealthed

It’s pretty obvious when it happens. See a friend downed by a Thief who quite clearly vanishes in to stealth next to the body? Smash his invisible face in. He’s still there, you know.

if my math is right. z = base damage / d = current damage / c = condition bonus

(d-z)/c = increase per point of condition

so it doesn’t look like there are any diminishing returns. think the only reason there are very slight differences is because of were they may round up or down.

Hello guys,
As i can see, alot of classes got the 10—>25% running speed signet buff and(ofc) thiefs got the 33—>50%. So, do we know the running speed cap(or else the maximum running speed)?So basically doesnt change a thing vs classes with perma swift……

well actually according to trait builders it is 10 points in the acrobat tree.

i don’t have a thief but the shadow arts(toughness and healing) tree seems more like a def tree to me. just judging from some of the traits listed there. like the heal in stealth, blind on stealth and stealing health.

well then again both trees seem like some kind of def trees
like i said i don’t play thief.

Those two don’t know what they are talking about. I out DPS people all the time, and have my pet revive the downed.

Use full bersker glass cannon with the longbow and shortbow

Pets: Brown Bear + Arctodus

30/30/5/0/5

Utilize your quickness with barrage + sharpening stone (puts 5 stacks on 5 targets). Also utilize piercing arrows (line up your shots to hit multiple targets).

Best combo: Get fury > Barrage + Quickening Zypher > Rapid Fire (Line up your shot) > Weapon Swap to shortbow (adds more fury) + Pet Swap for quickness > Spam #1 > Repeat.

Your key to staying alive is “Protect Me”, Dodge Rolls, and Distance.

First off i am not saying you or rangers for that matter can’t do good dps in pve. however you might want to rethink the part where you said you out dps people all the time. as far as i know there is not a full combat log in this game which also means there are no dps meters in this game. so there is no way to support such a claim.

Melee isn’t my thing, Rangers are supposed to be “RANGED” and aren’t.

For the bazillionth time, that is not what the term “Ranger” means. At all.

Having said that, it’s frustrating that Longbows are so mediocre. It’s entirely due to a gimpy animation/recovery IMO making the #1 skill do less DPS than it’s supposed to.

you do know that all adapt means is to adjust to or make suitable for a specific situation? not good are great but just suitable.

so once again. by anets definition rangers are deadly with ranged skills and can bring down their foes with their Unparalleled archery, but can adapt (become suitable) to any situation. So how does this in any way not suggest that rangers were meant to be a ranged class primarily? but be able to finish of his prey with melle if they get close. hell as the poster above me said if you look at any of anets artwork the rangers always have a bow.

i am starting to think some of you just like being confrontational. i don’t see how anyone could read anets description of the class and not think it was meant to be mainly ranged.

well imo a 10% signet is pretty much worthless. i cant think of any class that would really use one all that much, if at all. i think this will be a good start.

now instead of asking for their signets to stay at 10%, we should be asking for better in combat mobility skills, aside from GS swoop we don’t have much to close or increase (if running away) a gap.

Everyone has 4 active stun breakers except rangers. We have 2.

Everyone has a stun break on a 30 second time except:
Elementalists share our 45 second
Necros have a 40 second.

Shared Anguish isn’t an ability you can choose to use when you need it. Hide in plain sight isn’t a stun breaker.

So yes, it appears that rangers have a combination of fewer stun breakers and the longest max cooldown.

Sweet.

It’s 36 seconds with a talent most rangers want anyways for the QZ cd reduction. That’s also not counting the talent that prevent the stun from landing on us in the first place (shared anguish) or the one that gives us stealth if it does land on us.

So, no, your comparison is not valid, nor is it that simple to compare classes.

We also have rampage as one to prevent all CC (other than immobilize )
so i think adding the remove snare, immobilize to lightning reflex is all we should need.

lightning reflex should remove cripple and chill, or maybe be like the thieves version and remove cripple, chill and immobile. i think this would help a lot for a class that is suppose to be some what mobile.

Because our damage will be low anyway, no matter what gear we use. On a war you can go glass cannon and it will be WORTH it, and still have better survivability due to armor.

well this really isn’t true, glass canon anything will die fast when getting hit. with all the mobility skills thieves and ellys have they can pull it off some what.

the difference in medium to heavy armor isn’t very much. full exotic sets are 1211 heavy and 1064 medium for a difference of only 147.

it didn’t take long to get rid of the glass canon build on warrior and go for a more balance build using mostly knights gear power/toughness/prec. what i have noticed though is that i can kill people faster in this gear than i could with my zerker glass canon build ranger.

i think this is why most of us rangers have gone to a tanky build. All we get with the other is glass, no canon came with it.

Ranger Movement Speed

I agree with the idea of small changes at a time. I have seen to many times what happens with large buffs or nerfs or changing way to many items at once. with that said here are a few things i hope will be looked at some time in the future.

SKILL SLOTS

1. a better condition removal would be nice. haven’t played all the classes yet but the ones i have played have better skills for this imo. my mesmer doesn’t just remove all but puts them on his foe and steals foes boons at same time. engi converts all conditions into boons. my necro can also clear all her conditions and at the same time transfer them to her foe. what do rangers get? we get to kill our pet.

2. spirits. as many have said they need more survivability . the increased proc chance doesn’t seem to matter as they all seem to have a internal CD. when i was testing them in the mist with shortbow i allways got 21 to 23 shots off between procs.

3.survivability skills

a)protect me? with all the reflects and immunities in the game we get yet another skill to kill our pet? I see a lot of people classify the ranger as druidic using nature spells and taiming pets. if this is what anet is going for the i would suggest a trait something along the line of thorns (when hit with a melle crit the ranger cast a thorns, giving 5 sec of immunity and damages or bleeds anyone that hits the ranger with a melle attack for the next 5 sec. 20 sec CD). not exactly sure how to balance it but this would be close to the warriors 5 sec rataliation trait with 15 sec CD.

b) lightning reflexes. would like to see this one be able to remove snares. many times i have went to activate this and get snared a split sec before it goes off and pretty much just roll in place.

c) hide in plain sight trait should probably camo pet as well.

WEAPONS

1. longbow. as many have said needs faster travel time on arrows, also the cast time seems much longer than the .75 listed on the auto attack(mainly wondering if it is just mislabeled). the the channel time on rapid fire needs to be shorter to make it a semi burst ability.

2. shortbow. would like to see the bleed not have a flanking resticktion. #3 quick shot, not sure if this happens to others a lot, but many times my ranger just jumps straight up and down instead of backwards.

3.axe main hand, the only thing i would really like to see on this one is for the ricochet to not bounce to nonhostial(yellow mobs). axe off hand whirling defense, should be able to move while using this. even then probably still wouldn’t be worth using off hand axe.

4. warhorn. hunters call, this ability acts like a DoT. you cast it on your target then they take damage over time. however it doesn’t follow the rules of other dots. after you land the spell your target can dodge, block or line of site you to stop its damage. also maybe add a blind or confuse to it. all those hawks scratching out your eyes would make it hard to see

5. torch. this one seems to be just fine imo.

PETS
1. AoE midigation maybe 25% or so.
2. gain a small amount of stats based off ranger stats.
3. move faster without having to waste a major trait.
4. more responsive attack command and f2 abilities, shorter windup for attacks.
5. lower pet damage say maybe 25 or 30% and increase rangers damage an appropriate amount to make up for it. this will give rangers more control over their damage and help out in situations where pets are useless such as tower/keep siege/def.
6. stop the pets from forgetting their names.

I didn’t realize you guys had such an easy time with Warriors.

Why have numerous Rangers rerolled as Warriors if they are so weak ?

It’s because they can oneshot people, yet it looks like they can’t kill “the weakest” class ingame, sort of funny tho
The 100B warriors build is for newbies, any half decent warrior won’t use that build.
I would switch necro with engi on that list, and make them a lower tier (hard tier is not really hard, just average)
The first paragraph is also pointless, being R25 doesn’t make your point more valid than anyone’s else. Playing pugs in sPvP will still be playing “garbage pugs”, being rank 1 or 60.

while i don’t spvp, WvW is pretty much all i do. i have to agree with the 100b. the warrior was my 2nd 80 and like most picked up a great sword. i quickly found that 100B is easy to counter. once i put the GS away and went to an axe/shield and got away from a glass canon spec things have improved a lot. i have been pulling off more 2v1 and some 3v1 that i wouldn’t even come close to with that GS. now i am in no way saying i win all 2 or 3v1 just saying i pull it off a lot more now. and most 3v1 i didn’t kill all 3 but if i kill 2 and the other runs away, i still count that as a victory

whats sad is that if this post was made in any other thread rangers would probably be at the top of the list for each one.

My purpose in WvWvW is to fight people, laugh with my team about the awesome fights going down, then hop on here and mention the awesomeness of the fights that went down to the other servers. Almost like pick-up basketball with a group of friends, only we can’t joke around with the other team until later.

Every time incentives are mentioned as a necessity for PvP, my heart frowns.

I agree WvW is all about the fun and finding good fights.

however to look at it from the other side. rewards from WvW compared to PvE are way off.

for example last night (like just about every night) my friend and i log in and go to WvW. well he went right to WvW i have a few 80s logged out in Frostgorge and grab the T6 nodes real quick. anyways we are in there around 5 1/2 to 6 hours. i ended up with just over 200 kills for the night and about half the time i was running with the zerg taking camps and towers. at the end of the night i made a profit of 2 gold and got like 45 badges. i can make more gold in 1 hour of PvE.

Now when i log in tonight i will need to restock on siege weapons so half that will be gone. So anyone that does WvW only, will be able to get a legendary weapon somewhere around 2015. maybe a little sooner if they never help with siege or upgrades.

i think most people are just looking at the ascend gear, and are like well its not much of an increase. but what about the the next set or the one after that and then a 5th and a 6th and so on. it will get to the point were siege weapons for def will be pointless as a point blank balista shot to the face will not even be noticed. which means soon they would have to rework siege weapons to do more damage then that would force them to rework keep doors and walls. eventually becoming a never ending cycle.

they already have a scaling system in this game. i say fine tune it and use it. exotic gear seems about right for pvp. i would like to see better scaling for the low lvl guys. they could also put in a system that down scales all gear to exotic versions of said gear. this would allow them to put as many tiers of gear in the game for pve, bring out as many new harder dungens as they like and not worry about throwing WvWvW all out of wack. i mean sure it would be funny to 1 shot some poor lvled up new guy with auto attack but would get old pretty fast. which in the long run is what it will come down to.

Yes i know people say WvW is already imbalanced with time zones, zergs and what not so it doesn’t matter. imo that is just bad logic. why add another imbalance?

well i dislike mesmers. sorry guys you are just a pain to fight:) still trying to figure you guys out.

however I have yet to see a keep or tower lost to a portal. seems like most our guys know to do a quick sweep, and even then 2 to 3 peeps seem to always stay at towers for inc calls and call outs of close troop movement. at SM i all ways see about 3 people on every side of it. my friend and i do this a lot at SM as it is a good way to find small fights as you see a group of 2 to 5 running by it. so even if a mesmer was missed by the sweep would be hard for him to move around unnoticed.

it might need to be changed a little to solve the portal bombing. but if you lose a keep because a sweep was not done and you left it completely empty then that is note the portals fault.

i honestly think the maps should be a little larger. EB is so small that every one can stay in 1 or 2 big zergs go on the offensive and still have plenty of time to get back to a tower if it is being hit. to defend it. i think larger maps would break up the zergs into small groups of 15 to 20 and prbly even 5 to 10 for supply camps. these are the fights that are the most fun imo.

one more thing. also be careful of which websites you visit when looking up info. when there are games with large player base like these there are bound to be some with the soul purpose of getting key loggers on your PC. as most know these are used to find repetitive key stokes.

on that note i would like to share a tip a friend of mine told me back in the WoW days.

never type in your PW. what i do is i will create folders/ pics/ word documents or can realy be done with anything(just randomly placed and hidden). then i will rename it to what i am going to make a PW for something. then just click properties. you will see the name at top, just use copy(ctrl-c) paste (ctrl-v) when you need to use this PW. this will prevent key loggers from getting your PWs if they manage to get a logger on your PC.

if you don’t like the idea of your PWs being on your PC even hidden in file,folder,pic names. you can do what i recently did and just put them all on a thumb drive. now when i need a PW plug in drive copy paste, then remove drive.

another thing this does is lets you use realy long crazy PWs and not worry about forgetting them as they are saved on the thumb drive. but still good idea to have a hard copy written down somewhere:) incase thumb drive goes bad.

well my thief is still only lvl 2 sitting in the mist so i do not know all the mechanics yet. Yes it does piss me off that they can come start trouble and if things go bad they can just get away so easy with that dang short bow of theirs. i think mainly cause i wish i had that kind of mobility on my ranger however if they increased the time between stealths they would have to fix some over things. I have downed many thieves with kill shot and rapid fire on my warrior as they will still track the stealther. would prbly even go as far as say reduce aoe damage to the stealther.

As far as the ones that can keep going stealth i just keep that big hammer swinging, if they get close they are getting hit. i use to like the great sword for its mobility but the hammer seems to swing in a much larger arch. still need to play around with warrior not sure what sigil is best for hammer i just have a rage one in there atm and it is prbly isn’t the best but funny as fell when it procs.

Now when it comes to a class that can make you drop target to no end i don’t think anything gets me as mad as all these mesmers running around now day. seems like with the right traits they call out clones and phantom for anything they do. might have to look again but think they might have a trait that lets them call 3 clones a phantom and go invis for scratching their left nut.

Sounds like some players may have gone to a gold site to pay for their commanders tag?

1. change PWs often
2. don’t use same PWs for different sites/email/games
3. never go to gold selling sites

Can someone quote a promise made by Anet for a release on the 15th? From what I read Jon said mid November that is not an actual date so if it’s not out tomorrow please do not say anything was promised by any date.

no i haven’t seen a date stated, however he did say next patch. So no reason to think it shouldn’t be this patch as it is the next major patch after the post.

Best Sigil for Shortbow? (pow/prec build)

also you could keep a spare bow in your bags with a sigil that stacks power or crit, then when you have the 25 stacks swap to the air or fire bow. just a thought. haven’t tested it out with the power or crit ones. however i do this with the magic find in pve and it works so don’t see why these would not work.

ya the rifle is crazy.

i have a lvl 80 warrior alt in full exotics. so i thought i would go try it out for a bit.
didn’t want to spend alot of gold to just play around with it for a bit so i left him with his knights gear but did make him the zerker trinkets as i had most all the mats for them. so my crit damage isn’t what it could have been.

i was getting 12k to 15k crits. the funny one was on a thief, he went invis in the middle of my cast but kill shot tracked him anyways and hit him for 14k.

my rapid fire(which is half the channel time of rangers) was pushing close to 10k on some of them.

also i wasn’t playing it all that great, yet. i am use to my balance build and having mostly def skills loaded. so i kept forgetting to use my signets and such to stack might. when i try it again tonight i might have to run with the zerg and see if i can get a few bigger hits.

o never mind you were asking about number 2.

as far as number 5 this is caused by the pet not being on passive. the target he is chasing at some time hit ranger or his pet, or the target was hit by the ranger or pet. AE causes this alot.

while i was lvling my ranger i noticed when using AE mainly axe the axe would bounce and hit a weapon rack or something. every time a killed a mob he would keep wanting to go back and kill the weapon rack.

i think what he is talking about in 3 (keep my pet right next to me) is that sometimes your pet will run ahead of you.

there have been time that i kill the mob by a tree, then i run up to chop the tree down. As soon as i stop to start chopping the pet does not stop with me he runs ahead about 50 yards and grabs another pack of mobs for me to kill.

i may be wrong but this is the only thing i can think he is talking about.

another thing i would like to add about the long bow is that i think the rapid fire damage seems kind of low for a 5 sec channel. i took my warrior and ranger into the mist so the gear would be the same quality. i used my high power crit build with the ranger and the toughness build that i plan on useing at max lvl with warrior. the average rapid fire with the warriors rifle was about 500 less than the rangers and the warriors is only a 2.5 sec channel.

there is one thing i would like to touch on about the war horn also. this is the hawks. not sure if you have noticed this but if you cast your hawks on some one then they quickly jump behind a wall or something the rest of the hits the hawks would have done will say obstucted. people can also dodge after the hawks start hitting them to avoid the rest of the hits. this just doesnt seem right to me the hawks mechanics are pretty much like a DoT.

i think the rate of fire for the long bow would be fine. if they would speed up the travel speed of the arrows. As it is right now about 50% or more will miss the target if it is moveing. if you have a ranger shooting a long bow at you just keep strafing back and forth and most the shots will miss.

right now i have full exotic zerker gear other than chest. i have the pvp chest and plan on getting one or two more for some toughness and health. the only item i have that isn’t exotic is the guild backpack as rare is all they have for back.

even with 3 orbs i have never hit anyone for 8k in a single shot.

just to check is there any way maybe he was talking about the rapid fire. and was looking at the numbers on the last hit?

also thought i would add that i am only 20 points int the prec traits, and my utility skills are all def abilities such as traps and roots.

I think everyone is looking at this wrong. this wasn’t a nerf to dps. this was a buff to survivability. now when someone use a reflect we will only hit ourselves with one arrow.:)

same thing for me. went and hit them yesterday about this time. then some friends and i spent the rest of the night in WvW. around midnight I went to check on them before heading to bed and they were not up yet. just logged back in (about 23 to 24 hours from last time i hit the nodes) and they are still not there.
